Gravity Happens (Forcing Gravity) Page 17

by Alexander, Monica

“Good plan,” Nora said, patting Logan on the shoulder, playing the role of her cheerleader.

Logan nodded once, and I turned on the radio, feeling like there might be a need to break the tension just a bit. I didn’t think the conversation needed to be dwelled on any longer since it would just agitate Logan if she overthought her relationship. At the end of the day, Jase was a good guy, and I needed to start believing that, even if it was only to remind her how good she had it.

We dropped Logan off at Jase’s house, and I waited until she was inside before I backed out of the driveway and made my way back down through the Hollywood Hills. As we stopped at a light at the bottom of the hill, Nora’s hand slid back to where it had been during dinner.

I looked over at her and smiled. “Hi there.”

“Hi,” she said, her eyes hooded as she looked at me and simultaneously rubbed her hand over the bulge in my jeans.

As I started to pull forward into traffic, she started to pull down on my zipper. Within seconds her hand was inside my pants, and she was massaging me in a way that was slowly driving me crazy. I was glad I hadn’t drank at dinner, because with what she was doing to me, I suddenly felt drunk, and if alcohol had been added to the mix, I might have crashed my car.

I closed my eyes at a light and took a few deep breaths.

“You okay over there?” she asked, and I opened my eyes to look at her. Then without thinking, I leaned over, grabbed her face in my hands and pulled her lips to mine, devouring her mouth as she started to move her hand faster over me, but this time her hand slipped into my boxers. Back and forth, back and forth, running up my length and down, her fingers wrapped around me, skin to skin.

I jumped and pulled back from Nora when a horn blasted behind us, and for a minute I’d forgotten where we were. The light had turned green. Thank God for tinted windows.

As I eased the car forward, I lifted her hand from my crotch. She tried to move it back, but I shook my head. “You can’t. Not if you want me to get us home safely.”

She smirked. “You liked that, huh?”

I stole a glance at her. “Uh, yeah, just a little bit, and if I didn’t like my leather seats so much, I might have let you continue.”

  She laughed.

I looked over at her. “It’s not funny.”

That only made her laugh harder as she sunk back into her seat. I shook my head and smirked, only slightly embarrassed as I drove us back to my place.

As soon as the front door closed behind us, I pulled her into my arms and started kissing her with blind abandon. She had me so worked up, that I had tunnel vision about getting her clothes off. I walked her backward into the dark living room, not bothering with lights since I knew exactly where the couch was.

I’d never been so glad that my brother and Ellie had decided to go out of town for the weekend. Nora and I had the house to ourselves.

I pulled away from her long enough to lift her shirt over her head, as she unhooked her bra and let it fall to the floor. As I brought my mouth down on one of her nipples, I felt her hands start to work on the button of my jeans. Then before I could stop her, she pushed me back onto the couch and fell to her knees in front of me.

My jeans were down around my ankles where she’d yanked them, and she ran her hands up my bare thighs and looked up at me with such longing. Even though the room was dark, the moon was bright and shining in the windows that ran along the length of the back of our house, bathing the room and Nora in soft moonlight, casting a glow on her olive skin as she looked at me with such reverence.

“I feel awful about what I did in the car,” she said, as her hands slid simultaneously into my boxers and met in the middle.

  “Yeah?” I asked hoarsely.

She nodded. “Yeah, I do,” she said, sounding not the least bit remorseful as she freed me and pulled her hands out of my boxers, wrapping both of them around me and stroking me evenly.

“It’s fine. I forgive you,” I said, as I let my head fall back so I could enjoy the sensations she was creating.

“I’ll make it up to you,” she said, her warm breath brushing against the tip of my dick.

I looked down to see her right there, looking up at me with wide, gleaming eyes before she closed her mouth around me and started to suck.

“Holy shit,” I said, bracing myself against the back of the couch.

I’d gotten head from a lot of girls, but whatever she was doing was like nothing I’d ever experienced before. She was all hands and tongue and lips and teeth. Oh God, her teeth. She was grazing them over me just enough to make me crazy and not enough to hurt me, and it was freaking fantastic.

She ran her hands around my hips to cup my ass and hold me to her, but I wasn’t about to pull away when she was treating me like a popsicle she couldn’t lick fast enough. Then I felt the familiar tug that told me I needed to pull away quick.

“Okay, stop,” I said, even though it was the last thing I wanted.

She looked up at me in question. “Was it bad?”

I shook my head. “Uh, no. Not at all. It was good. Too good. So good in fact that a few seconds more, and I would have been done.”

She grinned. “Well, we can’t have that now, can we? At least not before you’ve returned the favor,” she teased, assuring me I wouldn’t regret pushing her away. I’d for sure have blue balls if I didn’t get to finish that night.

“That’s why I stopped,” I said, as she leaned forward to kiss my stomach, pushing my shirt up along the way and making a trail up to my chest before she stood and straddled me, sinking down on top of my hardness, her skirt ballooning out over our legs. I realized the only thing separating us was the thin scrap of her cotton underwear.

I rested my hands on her hips and leaned up to kiss her, wanting to taste as much of her as I could. Her long dark hair fell around my face like a curtain, shielding us as we kissed for what felt like hours.

“Can we go in your hot tub?” she asked then, as she lowered her lips to my neck to kiss and suck gently.

“Sure,” I said, because I was sort of floating into a fog.

“Cool,” she said, and before I could stop her, she was off my lap and striding out onto the deck.

I scrambled to my feet to follow her and almost tripped over my jeans, so I had to take a second to kick them off before I peeled my t-shirt over my head and dropped it to the floor. By the time I made it outside, I could see Nora’s skirt and underwear lying next to the hot tub. She was submerged in the water, her hair pulled up into a bun on the top of her head, and I could just make out the shape of her perfect body beneath the bubbles.

Not really caring if anyone was out for a late night stroll on the beach and might see us, I stripped off my boxers, dropped the two condoms I’d fished out of my wallet next to them and stepped into the hot tub, sinking into the boiling water across from her.

“You have me here,” I taunted her. “What are you going to do with me?”

She smiled widely. “Oh, I can think of many things, but there’s one in particular that I’d really like to try.”

Then she swam over to me, reached behind me to grab one of the condoms and made quick work of sliding it on me. She took a few moments to slide her hand up and down my length while her eyes watched me closely. Then she stood, straddled my lap and sunk down onto me, crying out softly in satisfaction, as I wrapped my arms around her back and pulled her close.

I just held her there for a few moments, relishing in the feeling of her wrapped around me so tightly and the weight of her pressing down on me.

“You feel so incredible,” I whispered in her ear, and she answered by pressing her lips below my earlobe and kissing me softly.

“So do you. It was totally worth the wait,” she said breathlessly, as she came back to center and looked down at me before kissing me again as I started to move inside her.

We stayed in the hot tub long enough for both of us to find release before I brought her up to my bedroom, laid
her out on my bed and returned the favor she’d given me earlier, and then we had a repeat performance of our time in the hot tub before she fell asleep in my arms. I felt incredibly lucky that a girl as amazing as her wanted to be with me, and I wanted to be with her just as much.

“Good morning,” Nora said when she came downstairs the next day.

I was in the kitchen making coffee in just my boxers, so she wrapped her arms around my waist and kissed my bare back.

  “Morning, beautiful.”

“Yeah, I think that’s a fair description of how I’m feeling this morning,” she sighed. “You make me feel so beautiful, Ethan.”

I turned to face her and noticed she was wearing one of my t-shirts. It was green and made the green in her eyes pop even more than usual.

  “I didn’t do anything. It’s all you.”

She blushed and looked down. “Sorry, I’m not used to guys gushing over me.”

I tilted her chin up with my finger, so I could look into her eyes.

“And I’m not used to gushing over girls, but you do something to me that is as equally foreign as it is welcome, so I’m not fighting it.”

She leaned up and kissed me then, and I could have kept doing exactly that when her stomach growled and she laughed.

“I’m sorry,” she said, shaking her head.

I reached out to pat her flat stomach. “Hey, no worries. I’ll feed you.”

“Thank you,” she said, her lips finding mine again.

“The only problem is,” I said, as I kissed her. “I don’t have any food. Do you care if we go somewhere to eat?”

“Whatever,” she said, as she kissed me deeper.

I lifted her and set her on the kitchen island, and she moved her hands between us to massage me where I stood between her splayed legs. She wasn’t wearing any underwear and was at the perfect height that if only I had a condom, I could . . .

I looked down to see Nora sliding a condom onto me and looked up at her in question.

She shrugged. “I brought it with me from upstairs. You have a whole drawer full them.”

“Yeah . . . would you believe it if I told you I just bought those this week?”

She shook her head, but she had a playful look in her eyes. “Not in the slightest, but I don’t care. As long as we’re exclusive, I don’t care who you’ve been with.”

“Exclusive?” I asked, as she started to guide me between her legs.

She nodded and bit her lip. “Is this the wrong time to be having this conversation?”

I shook my head, as I sunk into her, and she bit down harder on her lip. “I haven’t been with anyone else since the night I met you. I have no issue with being exclusive.”

I didn’t? Where did that come from?

I’d never been exclusive before in my life. But something about this girl made me want to dive in headfirst, and it wasn’t because of what she was letting me do to her on top of my kitchen island. It was all her. It was the way she looked at me, and the way she said my name, and the way she smiled and laughed. It was everything that made her Nora, that made her mine.

“Okay then, boyfriend,” she said then, and it came out breathless. “You’d better finish what I started quick, because I’m hungry.”

“Oh, is that a challenge?” I asked, and she ran her hands behind my neck and into my hair.

  “Definitely.”

  Chapter Fifteen

  Logan

“You look beautiful,” Jase said, coming up behind me in his bathroom.

I was standing there in my long light blue, strapless, Calvin Klein gown that was so elegant and classic that I felt more beautiful than I ever had in my life. I was wearing close to a million dollars in diamonds around my neck, on my wrists and in my ears that I was almost afraid to move.

Lelani had pulled my hair around to one side and twisted it into an elegant bun behind my left ear, making it less of a focus and more of a compliment to my overall look. My make-up was flawless, and with the man standing next to me, I felt, for the first time, like I looked like I should be walking the red carpet with him. And it was a true testament to how far I’d come in just a few short months.

It was my third award show with Jase, but I wasn’t nervous, even if it was the Oscars. I knew what to expect. I knew who I’d see, and I knew Jase would have my hand the whole time.

“I feel beautiful,” I told him, meeting his gaze in the mirror. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to my neck, just behind my ear.

“I love you,” he murmured, so low I could barely hear it. “Do you like the jewelry?”

I pressed my hand to my diamond covered neck and smiled at his reflection. “Jase, it’s so beautiful. I’m so afraid I’m going to lose something, and Harry Winston will take my head for it as payment.”

He smiled. “You’ll be fine. But just try not to lose those earrings, because they belong to you now.”

I looked up at him in surprise, my eyes going wide. “What did you say?”

He smiled his small secret smile at me. “I wanted to get you a gift, and I thought they’d be perfect.”

I spun around to face him. “Jase, if you want get me a gift, you don’t spent fifty-thousand dollars.”

  He shrugged. “I do.”

“No, you don’t,” I said, as I reached up to take off the earrings.

His hand closed over my fingers, and he eased them away from my ears. He didn’t let go of my hands as he looked deep into my eyes, his expression serious.

“Logan, I’m making thirteen million dollars from just this Sons of Sovereignty film. I can afford to buy you something nice for being the most wonderful thing that’s ever happened to me. I’m so lucky to have you in my life, and this is my way of saying thank you.”

I was speechless. What the hell was I supposed to say to that? Nothing. I just looked at him with wide eyes, and he smiled.

“You seem surprised to hear that.”

“I don’t know what to say,” I finally squeaked out.

  “Say you’ll keep the earrings.”

“Jase, I can’t,” I insisted, because they were just too much.

He shook his head. “If you won’t accept them, I’ll just buy you something more expensive and make it nonreturnable, so you have to take it. I’ll let you choose.”

“You’re mean,” I said shaking my head.

He smirked at me. “So, you’ll keep them?”

  I nodded. “Yes. Thank you.”

He leaned down and kissed me. “No, thank you.”

  “Knock, knock.”

I jumped, because for a few moments, it was like Jase and I were completely in our own little world. I forgot about where we had to be and who was in his house.

We both turned around at the same time to see Gary standing in the doorway.

  “The limo’s here,” he said.

“Thanks, man,” Jase said, and Gary nodded.

Jase took my hand to lead me out of the bathroom. I grabbed my black clutch from the bed.

As we passed by Gary, he said warmly, “Good luck, Jase.” And then he blew me away when he said, “You look beautiful, Logan.”

I looked back at him in shock, and he winked at me.

“What the hell was that all about?” I muttered to Jase as we left the house. A week ago Gary had been shooting me death looks and steering clear of me. Now he was winking at me?

A black limo was in his driveway, and I could see Jase’s agent, his publicist and Charlie standing outside of it talking. We walked toward them.

Jase chuckled and gripped my hand tighter, knowing I wasn’t as steady on my feet in my four inch heels as I’d like to be. I’d wanted to wear my Converse sneakers, but the dress was too long. And I probably would have been ridiculed by the Fashion Police anyway.

“Chloe’s been ordering Gary around on the set since her PA quit last week,” Jase explained, “and he doesn’t like it. I think he’s remembering all too well how she used to treat him whe
n we were together, and he appreciates that you don’t boss him around like she does.”

  “So, he’s forgiven me?”

Jase shrugged. “I guess so. He didn’t say anything to me, but I’d take his actions at face value.”

  “Well, okay then.”

Apparently it was going to be a day of surprises.

  * * *

When we arrived at the venue, it was the same routine I’d gotten used to. Walk, stop, chat, smile, walk, stop, pose, smile, walk. Keep smiling, look happy, look proud of Jase. At least the last part was easy, because I was so proud of him and my pride swelled whenever I heard him talk about his craft. He chatted easily with the reporters, and you could hear the conviction in his voice when he talked about the role he’d played in Radio Riot.

A few reporters asked him about Sons of Sovereignty, and one even asked me about it. Looking back, I had no idea what I said, only that I blurted out something about knowing Jase was perfect for the role and that his fans would love the movie. And apparently I’d done something right, because Jase beamed at me.

Once we were inside, I breathed a sigh of relief and turned to him. “I have to go to the bathroom,” I said, and he smiled and leaned down to kiss me before pointing me toward the restrooms.

“Hurry back,” he muttered. “I don’t want to get trapped by some actor with a big head who just wants me to compliment them on their latest film.”

I laughed as I walked away from him backward.

“It’s not funny,” he called after me. “You’re my buffer.”

“Charlie can be your buffer,” I said, gesturing to Charlie who was a few feet away talking to Andrea and Erica. He looked up at me and shook his head.

“Not for that I can’t,” he said, grinning at me as we both noticed that one of the most pretentious actors in Hollywood was approaching Jase. As I opened the door to the ladies room, I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing.

As usual, the whole bathroom process was a struggle in a floor length gown, so it took me twice as long. When I emerged, I approached the sink to reapply my lip gloss and make sure my hair still looked okay. Yup, it was shellacked good, so it wasn’t moving.
