Then we each took an editing pass at it and incorporated all our edits.
And then we uploaded. Voila!
Time invested during this period: 10 hours (each)
So, it took us each close to 40 hours of time to complete this book (cover to cover, plus the actual cover), and with two of us working, that adds up to nearly 80 woman hours. Not bad for a complete book, right? Incidentally, this book is 25,000 words (ish).
Could you write one faster? Probably. Sonja once wrote 50,000 words in about 50 hours (but she was high on National Novel Writing Month and caffeine at the time). But in any case, the math is good. You can write a book in less time than you thought, we bet.
So. Get to it, badass.
Then come and tell us all about it on our Badass Writing Facebook page.
And visit us at BadassWriting.com to see what kinda good writing juju we have coming for you next!
Cheers!

PS: If you liked our book, we hope you'll take the time to give us an awesome review on Amazon! We know it's kind of a pain in the ass, so we really appreciate it. Thanks, you.
PPS: We lied about the martinis. Our Skypes were always in the morning, so we actually drank bloody Marys.
PPPS: We didn't actually drink bloody Marys, either. But we wanted to. When you write your book (and you will), you'll want a drink, too.
PPPPS: Last one, swear:
A pirate walked into a bar.
He ordered neat rum in a jar,
then swallowed it down,
and said with a frown,
"I'm trying to find the pissoir!"
PPPPPS: We shoulda drunk rum. It's more pirate-y.
