  "I'm okay, Cameron." I smiled.

"You look hurt. I'll carry you, okay? There's about ten minutes left." Cameron insisted.

  "Well...all right."

He picked me up, and I wrapped my arms around his neck, loving the warm feeling in my stomach. I wriggled around on his back until I was comfortable, and Cameron held my legs securely. I swore I heard him chuckle under his breath. I held onto the tent bags, turning my head to the side to look at my surroundings. I saw the sun setting and watched in awe. It was beautiful. I rested my head on Cameron's shoulder, and I literally felt him smirk.

"Comfortable, are we?" He asked cockily.

"Very." I teased, snuggling into his shoulder. Truth be told, I was comfortable. I just hoped Cameron was okay with me doing that.

"Well hold on tight, we've got a while to go yet."

I smirked then. "What happened to ten minutes?"

  ***

The woods were beautiful. Tall, graceful trees with twisted trunks that made them look like they belonged in a fairytale. Birds of all different colors flew from the treetops, singing happily. The sun was setting early, peeking out between a few of the trees, making everything look all the more pretty. The best part of all- Cameron's eyes shining into mine, lit up by the sun.

"Do you like it?" Cameron asked me, spreading his arms out wide. "I used to come here as a kid a lot with my parents- J came too sometimes."

Jason nodded his head, grinning, from the floor where he was at that moment trying to put up the tent, failing miserably.

"I love it." I breathed, completely truthful. "Wow, this place is amazing."

"I thought you'd like it." Cameron smiled warmly. He spoke with a kind, caring voice that made me grin like an idiot. My cheeks were rosy, but I wasn't blushing from embarrassment. I was just happy.

"Yeah, yeah, it's all very amazing and wonderful- Cameron is Mister Perfect, blah, blah, blah. Can you help me with the tent now?" Jason interrupted.

"I never said he was perfect." I laughed, kneeling down beside my friend.

"Excuse me?" Cameron said in a camp voice, his hand on his hip. "I am like, just so offended."

I looked at Jason and burst out laughing.

"That was all too believable. Is there something you're not telling us...?" Jason teased.

"Shu'up J." Cameron threw a stick at him.

"Oh, it is on!" Jason roared, leaping up, grabbing a handful of twigs and leaves from the ground. He threw them at Cameron violently. "Take that! And that!"

"How childish can you be?" I called after their running figures.

"Childish?" Jason halted to a stop. "Cameron, did you hear what she said?"

"I did indeed." Cameron told him, nodding solemnly.

"Then you know what we must do."

  "Oh yes."

"GET AWAY FROM ME!" I screamed, running like a hyena, waving my arms around.

"Come back here!" Jason demanded, chasing me. Him and Cameron decided to include me in their little war, and dumped a load of leaves down the back of my top. It was like the failed date with Tanner, when Cameron dumped ice-cream down my top. Was it a sign?

"AAAHHH!" I yelled, laughing as I did. I skidded to a stop when I saw a lake in front of me. I turned around to warn Jason to stop. He did- but Cameron didn't.

"Woooah!" He cried, crashing into me. Unfortunately for the both of us, he crashed just a little too much. We both fell into the lake, splashing and thrashing as we did so.

My body slipped into the murky water, my clothes dragging me down. I held my breath, closed my eyes and tucked myself into a ball. It didn't help- I was sinking. I felt my hand being tugged, and slowly, I was resurfacing. My head bobbed above water, bucket-fulls of water tipping out of my mouth.

"Oh my God!" I screeched. I was soaked from head to toe.

"I saved you!" Cameron told me from beside me, beaming proudly.

"Saved me? You are the one that pushed me in here!" I raged, sending waves of water his way.

"You should be grateful- you could have died." Cameron nodded, flicking his wet fringe out of his face.

He deserved that little slap to the face.

"But thanks." I added in a whisper afterwards.

"You couldn't have said that before you slapped me?"

"What difference would it have made?"

"Hey guys, I have the solution to your bickering." Jason called from the top of the mound beside the lake.

"Which is?" Cameron and I said together. I turned away from him, blushing. He winked as I did.

"CANNONBALL!" Jason hollered, running towards us.

"No, no, Jason no!" I begged, swimming away from him.

  Bomb.

  Splash.

  Waves.

"Well, isn't this an interesting find?" A voice I recognised laughed. I blinked the water from Jason's cannonball out of my eyes, and looked up to see my two best friends grinning down at me. Riley was carrying a tent, Hayley was carrying what appeared to be a suitcase.

Yep. That night was gonna be good. I could feel it.

  ***

"And the doctor says to me, he says...Mr Evansss, you've got a broken leg!" Jason slurred, laughing mostly to himself. He was drunk off his head- which the rest of us all found very funny.

"Tell us another story, Jason." Hayley giggled. She was a tiny bit tipsy, and even Riley had had a drink. I was a little intoxicated, Cameron too.

"All righ'!" He cheered. "I'll tell you about the time my hamster ran away and we found him in our neighbours fish pond."

I was all set to hear that story, when Cameron patted my shoulder.

"Wanna go for a walk?" He asked me.

"I want to hear this story- I'll tease him about it in later life." I whined.

"Farrah, Jason has never even had a hamster." Cameron chuckled.

  I considered that.

"I still wanna hear the story."

"Okay so it all started when my dog had his testicles removed..." Jason began, obviously forgetting it was supposedly a story about a hamster.

I looked up at Cameron, who was smirking down at me. I got up, careful not to show anyone my panties. I was wearing the gorgeous dress Cameron had bought me for my birthday.

"Yeah, that walk sounds a good idea right about now."

"Don't you just love the sky?" I asked Cameron. So far our walk had consisted of silence, and me staring at the sky.

  "It's pretty cool." Cameron nodded.

"I like the stars. They're so pretty." I said dreamily.

  "Hm."

"Is there something wrong, Cammie?" I pouted, standing in front of him.

"No, everything is fine." He smiled. He tried stepping around me, but I smushed his face together with my hands.

"Are you sure? You look a little down." I asked, making his lips look like fish lips.

"I'm good, Farrah, really." He chuckled, removing my hands from his face. He didn't let go of one hand, and gently swung our hands back and forth as we walked.

"Is your hand cold?" I asked him. I felt a blush creeping onto my face. He had no idea what effect he had on me. I wondered if he genuinely wanted to hold my hand or not.

"Um, no." He muttered, letting go of my hand. "Sorry."

  "I didn't mean-"

"I get it. It's fine." Cameron sped up his pace, making it harder for my little legs to keep up.

  "Cameron?"

He spun around, his green eyes staring at me, almost hopefully.

"Um...my hand is cold." I told him, holding it out. He frowned at it, but the smiled at me, shaking his head a little and laughing. He took my hand in his, rubbing his thumb over the top of my hand, warming it up- even though it wasn't actually cold.

We walked in more silence for a while, but it was a comfortable silence. It wasn't an awkward situation that I didn't want to be in- I didn't mind the silence. I was gathering up my thoughts, ready to ask a question.

I wanted to know why he had taken me camping. Why me, of all people? I wanted to ask
him if he would ever consider dating me- and why he hadn't dated anyone in over two months now. I ached to know why he took me on this walk, why he held my hand, what he was thinking at that moment in time. I felt like I needed to know all of these things, yet I couldn't bring myself to say any of them.

"Farrah?" Cameron cut into my thoughts.

"Yeah? What?" I shook my thoughts away.

Cameron looked a little startled at my loud reply. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I'm just thinking." I replied honestly.

  "Uh-oh."

  "What?"

"When a girl is thinking, it's never good." Cameron winked cheekily.

"Hey! Not always!" I cried defensively.

"Well, then what are you thinking about?" He asked nosily.

"Um...nothing." I failed to answer believably, making myself blush.

  "Have I done something wrong?"

  What the heck?

"No! Where did that come from?" I choked.

  "You seem...upset."

"I'm just thinking, Cammie, honestly." I told him, smiling. He cringed when I used his hated nickname.

"Do you want to turn back?" He asked kindly, though he looked a little disappointed.

"No, I like it here. Oh look, a tree!" I cheered.

Cameron pulled a confused expression. "Farrah, it's a forest. It's full of trees."

"But look, this one is shaped so we can sit in it!" I exclaimed, rushing over.

"Right..." He trailed off, following me at a normal pace. I practically fell into the tree, and clambered onto the almost ready seat.

"Ha, no room for you!" I poked my tongue out like a child.

"Fine I'll just stand here." Cameron smirked, standing in between my legs. My breath caught in my throat. My heart beat sped up. If he leant anymore forward, we'd be kissing.

Though it wasn't a bad idea...

Cameron looked at me intensely, as if trying to figure me out. I didn't know what to do, so I stared back.

"Woah, you've got the creepiest evil eyes." Cameron chuckled quietly.

"Why thank you. My brother taught me how to glare professionally." I laughed, flipping my hair over my shoulder. I wasn't quite used to it being so short, but it looked all right and felt nice.

Cameron obviously thought my hair was nice too, as he reached over and tucked it behind my ear, trailing his hand down the side of my head. I had to admit, my hair was soft. I smiled stupidly, glad he liked my hair. Having Cameron Carter, the boy I liked, enjoy my new hairstyle was a total confidence booster.

He suddenly moved forward more, so our faces were really close to one another. My legs, appearing to have a mind of their own, wrapped themselves around his waist, only bringing him closer. My breath, although already hitched, was now gone. I was like a vampire. A vampire with an extremely good-looking boy right in front of me. I suddenly realised my thoughts were completely unusual for those of a girl's in my position. Any normal girl would be thinking about kissing the guy, or worrying if she kissed him badly or something. But no, I was thinking about-

Cameron's lips crashed onto mine, with a fiery passion, almost feeling like he couldn't contain it anymore. His hand slowly made it's way to my waist, his other hand tangling in my hair. Though my mind was in both shock and happiness, the rest of me somehow knew what to do. My arms wound themselves around his neck, and when Cameron bit down on my lip, I opened my mouth a little more so his tongue could slide in. Our tongues moved in sync, and all the time my mind was thinking one thing.

  Cameron.

  Cameron Carter.

  The Cameron Carter.

  He liked me.

Our lips parted, both of us breathing heavily.

"Holy shit on toast." I whispered.

"I seriously hope that's a good, 'holy shit on toast'." Cameron chuckled. I giggled, my head falling back- and slamming into the tree trunk behind it.

  "Ow." I complained, rubbing it.

"That is such a Farrah thing to do in a time like this." Cameron groaned.

  "Hey Cameron?"

  "Yes, Farrah?"

"I like you." I told him, as if it weren't already obvious.

  "Hey, hey, Farrah?"

  "Yeah?"

  "Farrah Chambers?"

  "Yeah?"

  "Farrah Poppy-"

  "Cameron!"

"I like you too." He smiled. Yep, my heart just flew to the moon and back, picking up extra happiness from the man on the moon for me.

"So...will you, um. Uh, would you..." Cameron looked me, going red.

"Aww, is Cammie blushing?" I teased, poking his cheeks. In reality, I had no idea how to react after what just happened. I mean, the boy had freakin' kissed me! (And what a wonderful kiss too!)

"Gerroff." He flicked my hands away. "Farrah would you...go out with me?"

I thought my mouth would have snapped in two, I was grinning so wide.

"Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!" I cheered.

"Oh thank God." Cameron breathed, smiling like he had just won the lottery.

  "On one condition."

"You have a condition?!" Cameron gawped at me.

  "Yes, just one."

  "Name it."

"You tell me your full name." I informed him. I really wanted to know.

  "My...my full name?" Cameron puzzled.

"Yes. I want to know you even better than I do!" I gushed.

  He looked alarmed.

"I'm kidding! I'm not some creepy girlfriend that wants to know everything about you just because we're dating." I laughed.

Man that sounded good. 'Girlfriend' and 'dating'.

"I know right?" Cameron winked. Damn- I had been speaking my thoughts again. "And my full name is Cameron Flynn Carter."

"Flynn is your middle name? Wow, never expected that." I shook my head. I jumped out of the tree, holding onto Cameron's shoulders.

  "Well, what did you expect?"

  "Jack, John, James, Gary..."

  "Gary?" He snorted.

  "Yeah, why not?"

"You're so..." Cameron trailed off. I raised my eyebrows at him, waiting for the rest of his sentence. "Different."

  "In a good way?"

  "In the best way."

I had the best boyfriend ever.

  ***

"...and we could watch movies together-"

  "And go to restuarants-"

"Better yet, we could just double date!" Hayley and I squealed together. Cameron and Riley didn't look too impressed, but they were getting along better than usual, maybe because Cameron had invited Riley and Hayley along to this trip. I had just told them me and Cameron were dating, which made Hayley very excitable.

"We need to find Jason a girlfriend!" Hayley gasped.

"Oh my God, yes!" I high fived her. "Cameron, do you know if he likes anyone?"

"Uh, no. I can't believe you're planning the future all ready." Cameron rolled his eyes.

"A double wedding!" Hayley clapped her hands together. "Ooh, imagine if we both gave birth to girls, who became best friends, and then they started dating-"

"Okay even I know you've gone too far now." I laughed. "Let's try and focus on the present."

"Haha, okay." Hayley giggled. "Can you imagine Jason with a girlfriend?"

  "Nope, not really." I frowned.

"Can you imagine a bear dating a seal?" Cameron asked us.

  "Huh?"

"Anyone who dated Jason would be smaller than him, that's how I imagine him if he dated someone. As a bear." Cameron explained.

"I see him as a bear now!" Riley cried, making us all laugh.

"Forever alone..." Jason mumbled, half asleep. I think it was our cackling that woke him up.

We were so gonna find him someone.

  ***

"I don't wanna be on my own! ALL BY MYSELF! DON'T WANNA BE, ALL BY MYSELF!" Jason was shouting.

"J, calm down!" I giggled hysterically.

"But you guys all get someone! What about meee?" He slurred. If he wasn't drunk, he would have soun
ded exactly like a little kid.

"You can have this...uh, pillow." Hayley told him, pushing a purple pillow into his arms.

"You can cuddle it all night long." Cameron chuckled. Jason nodded, his green eyes wide and innocent- completely oblivious to Cameron's sarcasm.

"G'night." Riley waved at us all. He climbed into his tent, Hayley following, giving me a thumbs up. Jason crawled into his tent, collapsing instantly. Clearly he was asleep- all though he had his feet dangling out of the zip.

"Shall we?" Cameron asked, holding out a hand.

"We shall." I laughed, taking it. I had never been so happy. I couldn't wait to tell people I, Farrah Poppy Chambers, actually had a boyfriend. My Mom's reaction would be priceless.

  Mom.

  Oh dear.

I changed in my little section of the tent, troubled. My Mom would kill me for getting suspended- I didn't even do anything that wrong! I pulled a lilac tank top over my body, laying back on my sleeping bag. As Cameron and I had only just got together, we were going to sleep in different sections of the tent. The lucky bastard got the bit with the little fire.

  "Night, Farrah." Cameron's voice called.

"Night." I replied, loving the idea of him only outside the zipped up wall. I made a mental note to take a picture of him asleep if I could.

The tent was quiet, with only the sound of Jason snoring in the background. I shivered, cold. Damn I wanted that fire.

  "Cammie?"

  "Farrah?"

  "Can we switch compartments?"

"Hell no! I am warm, thank you."

I unzipped my compartment and stuck my head out, frowning at him. "You are such a gentleman."

"I think you're just using this as an excuse to lay with me and my six pack." He winked. Being the subtle person I was, my eyes slid down to his torso, which indeed was shirtless, also revealing that he did in fact, have a six pack. "Like what you see?"

"Don't be an ass. I'm cold." I scowled.

"I see the name calling hasn't stopped since we're together now." Cameron mocked.
