Jess paused. Through the sliding glass doors, she could see Betty descending the stairs. She was wearing an oversized T-shirt and panties. Her hair was tousled, and her legs were long, tan, and lean.

  “You must be feeling very lucky,” Robert said softly.

  And Jess planted a kiss on his neck, tasting salt. “Very. For so many reasons. Actually, sweetheart, I feel like a million bucks.”
