The Return of Caine O'Halloran: Hard Choices Page 39

by JoAnn Ross

She was silent for a long while. Then a shudder worked through her shoulders. And when she finally looked at him there were tears in her eyes. And such naked love on her face that it rocked him.

He’d come back, and he’d hoped. But until that very moment, he’d not truly let himself believe.

“The last?” She slid her arms around his neck. Threaded her fingers through his hair. “I hope not. The Castillo house is a large house, Logan.   She’d unmanned him. His hands circled her back. “You’re willing to do that? After everything that’s happened, you’d still want—”

“Everything. I still want everything. With you, Logan Drake. Only with you.”

Then she pressed her mouth to his.

And it was the easiest choice of all.
