  Ffyrnig looked at Jonah apprehensively. ‘Master?’

  ‘No more of that ‘Master’ stuff,’ said Jonah firmly. ‘We’re friends. And we’re partners. So this is the condition: you must never call me Master again. I’m Jonah to you.’

  The Last Great Dragon screwed up his eyes with pleasure. ‘Oh, Mas—Jonah! You don’t know how happy you’ve made me.’ He sighed with delight, and a shower of sparks, carried on his smoky breath, streaked up into the brightening sky.
