Look Hoe, that’s my momma and I don’t need you of all people
checking up on her! My sister can’t see the bull shit you be
pulling but I can and I’m tired of playing with yo dumb ass! And
I know you up to something, but let me find out! Stay the fuck
away from my momma house, Bitch, don’t let me have to tell
your ass no more!” Ephie hung up the phone before Kima
could respond any further. She called Envie but didn’t get an
answer so she left a message.
While driving she couldn’t help but to wonder why Kima
went to her mother’s house. On top of all that, this all smelled
like some of Kima’s usual drama and there was always drama
wherever Kima was involved. She thought back to the first time
she found out that Bishop was putting his hands on her sister.
It was the same day that Envie and Kima had had a fight but
she never knew the reason why because Envie would never
tell her but she knew it had alot to do with Bishop . She could
hear screaming as she walked up to the door of her Envie’s
apartment that day. Envie and Kima were standing in the
living room with their shirts ripped half way off of their bodies,
Envie had a black eye and a few bruises and she seemed to be
out of breath. Bishop came charging out of the back with bags
cursing at the two of them, calling them every name under the
sun then he left. Envie had a natural habit of attracting the
wrong kinds of people and Ephie knew it if no one else did.
There were many times she thought about leaving town to start
over with her sister and her mother even if that meant leaving
Po-boy behind, but it never happened because her mother was
too damn stubborn and Envie was just too damn selfish; she
fought back her tears and called Po-boy.
“Bishop, wake up Bro! Somebody blowing you up!”
Lalow shouted.
He looked down at his caller I.D. It was coming from and
unknown number but he thought it was Kima. “Man I’m sleep,
that Bitch don’t want shit no way.”
“Well, put the mothafucka on vibrate or something, Bro. I’m
tryna watch this movie.”
Bishop waved him off and went back to sleep. An urgent text
message came through. The cell phone beeped nine times back
to back and Bishop continued to ignore it but Lalow picked
it up and read them and they all read the same thing: it’s 9;00,
Bitch! do u know where your girl is…well i do and u aint gonna like it
mothafucka! He shot up out of his chair and over to Bishop, “Ay,
man, you might wanna read this.”
Bishop read it then hit the send button, he got a recording.
Your call can not be completed as dialed please check the number and try
your call again. He dialed Kima’s number. “Bitch, why the hell
you keep playing on my phone?” He growled.
Kima began talking and he didn’t have any choice but to
listen, he couldn’t believe what he was hearing. His face turned
red and he grew angrier with every word she said. “Oh yeah?
And where the fuck are you? She told him where to go and he
was on his way.
“Man, I can’t believe this scandalous Bitch! Say, Bro let’s roll.”
Bishop told Lalow. “We on our way to Oak Town my nigga.
We about to pay Envie and her Bitch ass boyfriend a surprise
visit.” He sniffed.
“Awh man, it’s like that? “ Lalow rumbled. “Bitches,
Bitches, Bitches.” He declared.
Solo met them at the front door on their way out. “What’s up,
where you niggas going? He asked as they pushed their way
past him.
Lalow says, “Nigga, if you rolling, get yo ass in the car or
get left!”
They all jumped into Bishop’ SUV and burnt off. Bishop
called up all of his crew to tell them what was about to go down
and where to meet up. Meanwhile Lalow sat in the passenger
seat filling Solo in on what he knew.
“And contact my cleaners too, Bro cause a nigga about to make
a mess.” Bishop said finishing his call. Solo was about to make
a call on his cell too but before he could dial out another came in.
“I was just about to hit you up.” He said to the voice on the
other end. “Change of plans, I’ma need you tonight. Yeah. Meet
me in the Oaks. That’s what’s up. Alright, bet.” He hung up.
Bishop parked in front of a green and white house and got
out.
“I’ll be right back.” He said.
Fifteen minutes later he came out and got back into the
driver’s seat. He pulled out three nine millimeters that were
wrapped between a towel and pass them out to his buddies.
“Ooh, Nigga, we about to bring the heat in that Bitch!” Lalow
squealed.
Solo became worked up. “Hell yeah, it’s going down!”
They jumped on the main road and was on their way.
Ephie sat waiting for Poboy at a neighborhood park and
after ten minutes, and several head lights he still hadn’t made it.
“What’s taking him so long?” She asked herself. She was lost in
a thousand thoughts until a set of screaming tires brought her
back. A car stopped right behind hers and the silhouette of a
male popped into the dark shadows from the passenger side.
The driver’s car sped off in to the darkness and left the male
figure standing there. He started towards her, she reached under
the seat for her gun and remembered she didn’t bring it.
“Damn!” She uttered. As he got closer to her door she realized
it was Poboy and sighed in relief. She reached over and opened
the door for him.
“Po, what the hell you doing? Why you get dropped off?” He carried a disturbing look that made her nervous. “Babe, what’s
wrong with you?”
“Crank the car and get on the highway, I’ll tell you on the
way,” he responded.
Ephie began to panic.”Tell me what…and on the way to
where?” She punched the accelerator and Poboy began to talk.
“Man your sister should’a cut that Bitch loose when she had
the chance. Bishop wants me to meet him in Oak Town but we
need to get there before he does.”
“Why?” Ephie asked.
“Kima told that nigga that your sister is wit a nigga at some
hotel out there.”
“What…that dirty Bitch!” Ephie growled.
“So you knew that already? He implored.
She sucked her teeth, “Yeah, I knew, but that aint important
right now. She took her eyes off of Poboy and shifted them back
to the road. I knew that Bitch was up to something. She said to herself
then looked back at Poboy “So he fina go to the hotel?”
“Yep. That’s why we need to get there fast, ’cause It’s about to
get real. I know that nigga. He aint going to talk.”
“Shit!” Ephie said entering the highway doing ninety miles
per hour. She didn’t think about getting rolled by the police. She
swerved in and out of lanes cutting other vehicles off and
jumping in front of any one in her path. She asked Poboy to call
her sister to warn her to get away from the hotel. He did but
didn’t get an answer either.
“Her mailbox is full.” He told her.
“Damn, Envie why you won’t answer your phone!” She
uttered under her breath.
Forty-five minutes later they pulled up at the Chindelle
Suites Hotel, Ephie didn’t even put the car in park before her
feet touched the ground.
“Oh shit!” Poboy yelled and threw it into gear. He looked up
to tell Ephie which door to look for, but she was already in route
to the entrance of the building so he caught up and lead the way.
He didn’t see Bishop’ SUV in the parking lot, he figured they beat
him there; until they turned a corner in the hotel’s corridor and
heard the commotion. They ran inside to find Envie with a
bloody face and Bishop’ hand wrapped around her throat.
Solo and Lalow was holding Steebo at gun point. Poboy ran
over to pull Bishop off of Envie but Bishop back handed him.
“Get the fuck off me, Bro!”
Kima and Trije’ana stood in the corner of the room smirking.
Ephie bolted at Kima, punched her in the face, threw her down
on the floor and proceeded to kick and stomp her. Then Trije’ana
flew at Ephie hitting her in the back of the head then grabbed
her around the neck into a choke hold to get her off Kima. Kima
then staggers back to her feet awarding Ephie with two swift
jabs to the face.
“Awh, hell nawh!” Poboy said darting over gripping Kima
and Trije’ana by the neck.”You hoes better back up!” He
demanded.
“Ephie, breathing heavily barks. “You a dirty Bitch! Both of
ya’ll some dirty hoes. She looks at her at Envie. “Envie, you
know these hoes set you up don’t you?”
“I know now. Envie looked at Kima. “Bitch, and to think I
thought you were my friend. Defending you and shit, fuck you!”
“And she been fucking Bishop too, I told you that Bitch wasn’t shit!” Ephie blurted. She glanced at Kima who was giving her an evil look. “Yeah Bitch,
I know.” Ephie perched her lips at Kima.
“Bitch, you don’t know shit! Bishop jumped in.
“Oh, I dont know shit when you got your hand all up her
dress at the club last night.” She declared.
Envie was trying to get to Kima, but couldn’t because
Bishop stood in front her blocking and breathing like a bull. She
picked up a bottle from the night stand and threw it at her. “I’ma
fuck you up, Hoe!” She screamed.
The bottle struck Kima in the stomach, and He slapped
Envie across the face.
“Shut the fuck up!”
She looked over at Steebo who still held at gun point by
Solo and Lalow, she screamed at them.
“He aint got shit to do with this!”
Bishop hit her again. “Bitch didn’t I tell you to shut the fuck
up!” So this the nigga you been fucking?”
His eyes spread wide. Envie didn’t answer, she didn’t even
look at him. He cocked his gun and glanced at his boys. “I guess
this Bitch got the Hellen Keller syndrome all of sudden.”
Bishop had fire in his eyes, and in them Ephie saw what he was
about to do; she ran to shield her sister.
Poboy screamed. “Nooo!” The gun went off, the bullet
entered Ephie’s back and came out through her stomach. She
fell to the floor at her sister’s feet, bleeding and unconscious.
Poboy ran to her side screaming in anguish. He picked her up.
While holding her limp body in his arms he executed Bishop
with his bloodshot eyes and said, “You done fucked up Bro.” He
took her as fast as he could back to the car and drove to the
nearest hospital.
Still held in Bishop’ captivity, Envie sat helplessly in the
floor crying, “Hurry up, Po, get her to the hospital, hurry up!”
She wailed.
Bishop growled at Envie. “Get up, Bitch!” He takes the clip
from his nine and empty all but one bullet. “You got two choices,
you can smoke yourself or I will.”
Her eyes met his and she began thinking rigidly about the
past pain, and suffering she bore. The agony suddenly turned
into anger and she became overwhelmed with courage. She got
up from the floor and stood toe to toe with him. “So, what you
gon kill me? After all the Bitches you fucked around on me with,
after all ass beating, black eyes and lies. And all the times I had
to fight because of you. I lost a lot and sacrificed a lot of things
mostly, because you couldn’t keep your shit in your pants. Then
I fuck with one nigga and you wanna shoot me over it?” She
wiped off the bloody tears that ran down her face. “Is that what
I should’a done, Bishop…shot your ass for every time you
fucked over me? Uh, Bishop did I have that right too?”
“This shit aint about me, so don’t try to change the subject!”
This time he hit her so hard he split her face open. It hurt so bad
that she couldn’t scream. He asked Solo to tossed him the gun
he was holding. He gave it to Envie and told her to put it in her
mouth and points the other gun at her head. “Put it in your
mouth, now!”
She cries, “No.”
He screams, “Do it, or I will!” Tears were streaming down his
face.
She pleads with him. “Bishop why are you doing this?” She
placed the gun in her mouth and her thumb on the trigger.
Bishop mounted his hand around the gun she held to where his
index finger mimicked her thumb.
“Drop your heat homie! Five men stood in the door way with
their guns pointed.
Lalow switched his aim from Steebo to the men at the door.
The man speaks again. “I said put the mothafucking gun
down, Nigga!”
“Who the fuck you niggas be?” Lalow asked.
“We aint here to answer no mothafucking questions, drop
your shit or I’ma put one in ya!” the man said.
Bishop says, “Nah Bro, that aint happening. I’ma have to ask
you to drop yo shit!”
“You think we giving you a muthafuckin option, Nigga?”
The man and his four friends spread out across the room and
cocked their guns. Steebo walked over and stood with them as
if to declare war. “Now, I’ma say it again. Drop your heat or we
about to make it rain!” The leader of the pack sniffed and tilted his
head to one side. Bishop removed the gun from Envies mouth and she ran to
hide under the bed. He pointed it at the men. “Well then I guess
we all gon’ be some wet up mothafuckas round here.” He said.
Without looking he tossed the borrowed nine back to Solo and
now all of their guns were cocked and aimed. The eight of them
stood there staring at each other with their weapons sharpened
in silence.
Two lesbians barged through the door, wearing wife beaters,
baggy jeans and Timberland boots. One had her hair cut into a
fade and the other one had on a baseball cap. Solo saw them
and motioned his eyes to Kima’s direction.
One of them said, “This Bitch right here?” pointing at Kima.
He nodded then his eyes switched to Trije’ana.
The other o
ne asked, “Her too?” Pointing at Trije’ana. “A’ight,
that’s what’s up.” They snatched up the both of them against
their will.
Bishop shouts, “What the fuck is going on, Bro! Who are these
Bitches?”
Solo tells him, “It’s cool…they wit me, Bro.” He assured
him.
Bishopgave him a look of approval and kept his focus on the
enemies.
“Boss, you aint gon’ stop this shit?” Kima pleaded.
