They talked and joked around, making the atmosphere pleasant and uplifting like always. She took in the sight of them. Jay Bird with his tight T-shirt and bulging muscles and tattoos. Caleb with his snug-fitting jeans and great ass, as well as muscles galore, and Big Guns, taking up most of the space with his super-large physique. They were gods, and she was one very lucky lady.

She stood up, unable to resist helping them, despite their insistence that they wanted to take care of her in every way. She wanted them to share responsibilities, and she was ready to move on and live again. She couldn’t wait to tell them that she was starting work back up on Monday, only a few hours as she went through the motions of setting out on her own without one of them by her side. It was going to be tough, for reasons beyond fear and the fact that she’d become dependent on them. She would miss their bodies, their hugs and caresses, and, of course, the way they loved her every moment of every day.

She came up behind Caleb and wrapped her arms around him.

“Hey, sweetie, what are you doing?”

“I’m helping.” She slid around him to wash her hands at the sink.

Big Guns placed his hands on her waist from behind and kissed her neck. “You don’t have to. We’ve got this.”

“Don’t be silly. We’re a team. Besides, I’ll be cooking dinner starting Monday since I’ll be home from work earlier than the three of you.” She reached for the colander to begin washing the lettuce.

Caleb touched her hand, and she turned to face them.

“What are you talking about?” he asked, looking full of concern.

He had taken her abduction and abuse the hardest and could hardly look at her at first. She saw the tears in his eyes and knew he felt to blame, but they worked that all out.

She brought his palm to her cheek and placed it against her skin. She held his wrist and hand there and smiled softly at him and then glanced at Jay and Big Guns.

“It’s time, Caleb. I need to get my life back. I need to start living again.”

“Are you sure, baby? It hasn’t been that long.”

“It’s been long enough. I’m going to start with just a few hours a day, but I think I’ll be just fine, especially because I have the three of you to come home to every day.”

“But what if we get stuck on a call?”

“I have Suzette, Felicia, Beverly, Selina, and Joyce, never mind their men and our other friends. Everyone has offered to spend time with me, and I already talked to them about those times when you’re not able to get home. Especially at night, when it’s hardest.”

Caleb pulled her into his arms and held her close. “Someone has been busy keeping secrets.” He ran his hand over her ass and gave it a light tap.

She felt the fire burn within her belly, and her core tightened. She pulled back, wrapped her arms around his neck and shoulders, and smiled.

“I have, and that probably makes you want to give me a nice little spanking for being naughty and keeping secrets.” She licked her lower lip.

His eyes took on a look of hunger as he squinted at her. She felt his hand squeeze her ass and press her snugger against his body. She felt his hard cock and knew her words aroused him.

“Jay Bird, turn off the oven. Dinner is on hold. Dessert is being served first tonight.”

He covered her lips and kissed her deeply before he lifted her into his arms and began carrying her from the kitchen. She looked at him as she held on to his shoulders, and she absorbed the expression of desire and love in his eyes. She inhaled and released a relaxed breath, sensing Jay Bird and Big Guns following close behind. They were her everything. Her lovers, her best friends, her healers, and her strength, and nothing would ever break them apart, weaken their power, or end this happiness they had ever again.

He set her down on the bed and pressed over her with one leg between hers. Jay Bird took position on the left, his shirt already off, and Big Guns came to the right, completely naked.

“We love you so much, baby, and we’re so proud of you,” Caleb told her.

She looked at all three of them.

“And I love you too. Especially when all three of you are inside of me. Didn’t someone say something about dessert first?” she asked, and that was it.

They began to undress her, caress her, kiss her, love her in every way, and she knew, in that moment, that everything was going to be just fine with her three sexy SWAT officers. Someone had once said a woman in love was a woman with the power to move mountains. Right now, Sonya felt capable of anything.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

People seem to be more interested in my name than where I get my ideas for my stories from. So I might as well share the story behind my name with all my readers.

My momma was born and raised in New Orleans. At the age of twenty, she met and fell in love with an Irishman named Patrick Riley Dwyer. Needless to say, the family was a bit taken aback by this, as they hoped she would marry a family friend. It was a modern-day arranged marriage kind of thing, and my momma downright refused.

Being that my momma’s families were descendants of the original English-speaking Southerners, they wanted the family bloodline to stay pure. They were wealthy, and my father’s family was poor.

Despite attempts by my grandpapa to make Patrick leave and destroy the love between them, my parents married. They recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.

I am one of six children born to Patrick and Lynn Dwyer. I am a combination of both Irish and a true Southern belle. With a name like Dixie Lynn Dwyer, it’s no wonder why people are curious about my name.

Just as my parents had a love story of their own, I grew up intrigued by the lifestyles of others. My imagination as well as my need to stray from the straight and narrow made me into the woman I am today.
