God I felt a powerful connection between us.

Enamored by him, I kissed him back.

And in that moment I said, “Matteo.”

  Oh my God—

  I can’t believe it. I remember him.

  My goodness, I remember Matteo.

And in that moment, he pulled back.

He smiled and said, “My darling Bella, I knew I could juggle your memory, beautiful.”

And with that, he kissed me again.

I am glad to see you are getting your memory back, Bella. May I join you?”

I smiled and said, “Matteo, my memory is still hazy but I definitely know you.”

He grabbed a fork and jabbed at the meat. Then he ate a piece and smiled.

“That’s because I am the one out of all the guys and you know it too.”

I laughed and asked, “Well is that what it is?”

He nodded and placed the fork down and narrowed his eyes on mine. I averted his intense gaze. I felt something inside me, I couldn’t explain it. Did we do it? I wondered, but I didn’t ask. Matteo watched me eat and smiled each time I took a bite. I couldn’t help but stare into his beautiful hypnotic eyes. He said to me, “Now you remember who I am, what else can I make you recall?”

I laughed and asked, “do you always visit girls at this time of night?”

He chuckled and said, “No, Just you.”

  I blushed.

  Maxim

I can’t stop thinking about Bella. I want to help her get her memory back. I know it’s possible perhaps I should focus instead on being sued. God how is this happening? I can’t believe they believed him over me.

This guy tried to kill us, yet everyone wants to believe that’s not what happened. It’s been weeks. I have tried calling Bella, but for some reason my calls keep getting blocked.

I tried to stay distracted back at school. I walked into the classroom and turned to see Jessica hurrying towards me. I shook my head. The truth is, I didn’t want to speak with her right now, but she walked up and slid her hands around my shoulder. I took her hands off.

She frowned and said, “Maxim, you really should forget about her. She has lost her memory. You know you should stop by my place today. My Dad’s a great lawyer and if you get sued, you know he can get you off.”

I rolled my eyes at her, as she forgot, I am from a wealthy family too? Well if she has, well then let me remind her. I wished I didn’t get saved that night, oh don’t get me wrong I am grateful but then I wonder if I had fallen instead of Bella, things would have turned out differently.

  God—

I should have stopped him. I should have saved her from the fall.

“All I am saying is you shouldn’t get too involved with her. You know… what would your mother think if she were here?”

I turned to in anger; she knew better than to speak of my mother. Our mother’s passed away in a plane crash. How dare she use an emotional time in my life to persuade me from caring about my love Bella!

“Stay away from me, Jessica, and I will appreciate it if you never talk about my mother again. You have no right to say anything. Bella is a lady and the only girl for me. You and I and the elite girls? Well, that was just a game. I am done with playing games.”

And with that, she stared blankly at me and backed off.

But then Samantha stepped up and said, “You didn’t have to speak to her that way Maxim, we are all concerned about you. You know she will never fit in, plus maybe it's a God thing she lost her memory.

Oh by now I was livid. I stepped up to her and exclaimed, “That’s enough! She may well not fit in your world, but in my world she is the only one. You will never match up to her. From now on, stay away for me and her! You should think about your chances of getting into college and worry less about my relationship with my heart.”

“Oh don’t worry, my Dad will make sure I will get into a great college even if he has to pay for it.”

I shook my head and said, “Don’t be so sure about that, you have no idea what the future holds.”

She laughed and said, “I think we will be alright. Well, you made your choice, enjoy it with the girl whose memory no longer exists.”

And with that, she walked away. I ignored her for the rest of the day. I will not let her hurt my chances with Bella. Oh Bella, I pray your memory returns soon. I know it will; I guess I have to hope it will.

Jessica then walked back up to me. She said she was sorry. I shot her a look. I didn’t believe her.

“Can we just maybe hook up or something? Maybe my Dad can put in a good word with his Judicial friends?” She asked, sounding desperate.

  Matteo

I made my way over to Bella’s place. I expected to see her but the minute I stepped into the steps but then her father approached me. He placed his hands on his hips and frowned.

I swear at that moment you could hear the thunder roar!

  Alarm bells
ran through my head should I leave or should I stay?

I can’t believe just the other night, I spent a beautiful night with Bella, and you’re her father stood in front of me menacingly looking as though he wanted to take me by the arm and drag me down the stairs.

  He frowned and shifted uneasily.

but then he said to me, “what exactly are you doing here?”

I said to him, “No offense, Mr. Myers, I’m here to see Bella.”

He laughed and growled, “You are here to see Bella, hmm? Well, join the line. I think many people would like to see Bella, but you can’t see her right now. Say, aren’t you one of those boys causing a lot of trouble, hmm? Didn’t you stop by the other night?”

Shocked by his words and wondering how the hell he knew I stopped by to see Bella, I stammered.

  “Sir…”

“Yes hmm what do you have to say for yourself hmm?”

I thought to myself, okay Matteo, you must get it together, just be yourself and tell him how you feel. Do not let him intimidate you. You can take care of this!

So I said to him, “Sir, I can assure you nothing happened that night, and I was just checking on her.”

He laughed and said, “I bet you were just checking on her? You and the others, right? I know what you did, I was young like you once, and I would not have you stopping by visiting my daughter and corrupting her. She already has enough to worry about; she does not need this distraction. She’s trying to regain her memory. And besides, there’s a lawsuit pending, and I don’t think it’s the best idea for you to be here. I love my daughter.”

I swallowed, that’s not what I heard from Killian or Maxim.

I thought, “Maxim tried to stop him from hurting her that night. I know Maxim told the truth. He had no reason to lie after all Bellas’s Step Dad was his father’s best friend. Why would Maxim lie about this?”

He added in a firm voice, “Now, if you don’t mind, I think you need to leave?”

He turned and walked towards the door, but then I stopped him.

I said, “I want to see her, there's something going on that I think we need to discuss.”

He laughed and said, “you will not see her. I know all about you.”

And then I realized I recognized him once more.

I saw him with Susan, yes they were at a distance, but I saw him. Bella stepfather holding on to Susan’s waist, how could I have been so stupid not to notice?

Oh my god — this is that house Susan got the scholarship?

I started thinking about everything that had gone on through the years.

Could it be? Could Bella’s stepfather have something to do with Susan?

I knew he ran in certain circles so I wouldn’t put it past him, but is it possible?

Then I thought, Is Maxim’s father also involved with Susan?

  That would be crazy.

Are they involved in a crazy love triangle?

He placed his hands in his pockets and said, “there’s a pandemic set to take over the entire country soon, and I don’t want Bella exposed to it, that storm was no ordinary storm, so I would suggest you go home and hunker down son.”

I said to him, “Sir, just let me speak with her, perhaps I could say something that will juggle her memory? I have books from school to share. I am also tutoring her, sir. Just helping her to catch up.”

I thought to myself, “oh Matteo, what are you thinking? Don’t give him any information. He can use it against you or Maxim.”

  But I didn’t care.

All I wanted was to see Bella.

  Oh, Bella Bella Bella —

  She’s all I desire.

She’s the one I had to see.

I had to get her away from this.

Call me crazy I have to get Bella away from this man pandemic or not.

And that’s the moment thunder roared.

I looked at him and said, “Sir, just give me this one last time let me talk to her. I want to share some things from school today”.

He laughed and said, “no, you will not get a chance to see her. Now get away from here before I call the police on you.

And with that I knew I was fighting a losing battle, I have no choice but to leave.

But I had other ideas in mind, I pretended to walk away and watched him lock the door.

Yes I knew all about the layout of the mansion. I had to come up with a Plan B.

Too bad Rosa had the day off, I could have used her help here. Oh well, I guess I might as well head try to get in another way.

I picked up a rock and threw it at her window. And just like in the movies, she turned on the light in her room.

She looked out the window and stared at me with widened eyes.

She gasped and said, “what are you doing here? I motioned for her to open the window. She smiled, and then she pulled it up, and she shook her head, and she said, “do I know you?”

Hurt by her sudden relapse in memory, I sighed and said to her, “open the window so I can get in, please.”

She trembled for some reason. She kept looking at me.

I said to her, “it’s OK, Bella, it’s me, it’s Mateo, please open the window.”

She nodded and lifted the window to let me into her bedroom.

I stepped into the room. I moved closer to her and wrapped my hands around her. I cupped her face, tilted her head, and kissed her lips, and at that moment, she said, “Matteo.”

What are you doing here? Are you here to tutor me? She asked with a smile. I grinned and teased her beautiful cheek. I told her I had to see her again after that crazy storm the other night. She beamed and said, “Yes that was scary. But at least things are back to normal. I just wish my memory would go back to normal, but that’s not happening. Matteo, could you tell me more about my life? Am I really popular in school?

  I smiled.

I wanted to tell her all about her popularity in high school.

But I doubt she would want to know about the bad girls and all the hurt they caused her.

I was certain she will not want a reminder of the dark parts of her past.

It's best she focused on her future.

  So I lied.

I told her, “You definitely made an impression. Listen, how about we head out tonight?”

  She shook her head.

“I can’t because my step father wants me to stay home. He seems really nice to me. It’s almost like he’s my Dad in a way, I can’t explain it.”

I raised an eyebrow; she seemed so innocent.

I didn’t want to spoil the impression she had of her stepfather, but she needs to know Maxim had nothing to do with her fall.

  I wasn’t there, but I believe him.

I know Maxim is a kindhearted soul and would do nothing as described by her Step Dad.

“How about I take you out? Listen, there’s this diner that’s still open. I am sure you would have a blast once we get there.”

I am just concerned about my step Dad finding out I snuck out. I don’t know what life was like in the past previously, but I don’t want to come across as rude. Besides, I will really love to get back to school soon. My friend Susan says it’s okay, and she mentioned something about the expensive tuition.”

I smiled, I guess she forgot Maxim Killian, and I paid her tuition.

But that’s not something I wanted to talk about. I held her hand, kissed it like the perfect gentleman and said, ‘Listen, we can go out the window or we can go through the front door. I wasn’t worried about her stepfather, but I could tell she didn’t want to risk it. She seemed a little guarded. I had to take it easy with her. I slid my hands around her waist, kissed her lips, then I pulled back and glanced into her eyes. I said, “So what do you want to do?”

  “Hmm let’s wait,”

I am okay with that. I said to her, I pulled her into my arms, kissed her lips and said, “I would much rather stay here and make love.”

She blushed and kissed my lips and with that we fell on t
he bed; I admired her beautiful body; I planted kisses all over from her neckline lower to the curves of her breasts and even lower.

  Bella

He was intense; I watched as he slid his lips delicately around my navel and as he slid even lower, sliding my underwear to the side; I slid onto the sheets and then I slid back up and arched my back; he kept his dark gorgeous eyes on mine as he lowered his head between my legs. He murmured, “do you like it when I kiss you here? Hmm how about there?”

He kept teasing me, kissing my inner thighs but not making contact with my center.

I thought this billionaire scion better get with it because I can’t hold back any longer.

He murmured, “Someone is soaked, hmm wonder why, well I want a taste!”

And with a swipe of his bold tongue, he sent my body spinning over the edge or reason. I cried out in pleasure.

I clutched, palm sized fistfuls of his hair.

His lavender scent engulfed my senses. I clutched his hair as he stared into my eyes, watching my facial expression as he stared into my eyes while lapping me clean. He groaned and leaned up to kiss my lips. I kissed him back, tasting myself.

“I want to make love to you darling,” he purred in a deep sexy voice. I nodded and watched as Matteo slid back and slowly undressed. I sat up on the bed, watching and smiling. He was perfect, all muscle and gorgeous. I watched as he rolled the condom on him. Then he moved towards me and positioned his body between my legs.

He leaned back over and lowered his body over mine. He kissed me as I relaxed onto the sheets, my body burned at the thought of him moving inside of me. A few kisses on my breasts, and slowly he thrust into my center.

“You are beautiful, Bella. You are wonderful. I love you.”

Matteo made me feel special, I love him moving inside me.

Our breaths intertwined with each other as we both let go, releasing and coming together in an overwhelming mutual pleasure, “Matteo”
