TTW 3 ( Thicker Than Water 3 ) Page 5

“I can smell the wheels turning and burning in ya mind, shawty. You gon’ have to let that go, for real. You putting a damper on the mood.”

Sasha wrenched her eyes to Bleek as he drove, ready to give him a piece of her mind, but the grin on his baby face let her know he was in jest.

“Whatever,” she responded, leaning down and turning up the music. Miguel’s ‘Sure Thing’ blared through the quality speakers and Sasha mellowed a bit. “It’s too much to let go,” she found herself adding.

Bleek remained quiet, not sure how to play it. He wasn’t up for a counseling session but he could see something troubling her. He figured that was best Chauncey’s job to find out what it was and appease it. And the last thing he needed was for her to vent if it did have something to do with Chauncey. He wondered if it had anything to do with Jayde. He didn’t want to hear about that either to be honest.

  “You wanna talk about it?”

  “No.”

  Good, he thought.

“But you know… I just don’t understand people sometimes. Like what would you do if there was someone you trusted and you found out they were completely fraudulent?”

Bleek stared ahead through the lenses of his shades hoping that this was not about Chauncey.

I thought she said she didn’t wanna talk about it?

“Uh, I mean… you know people make mistakes. Sometimes it ain’t always what it seem. Maybe you should just holla at that person.”

Bleek fed her a bunch of elusive bullshit.

“But what if you can’t?” She probed.

“But I thought you ain’t wanna talk about it?” He asked before even thinking about it as he pulled into the lot. He was young, he was blunt, and he didn’t really understand women.

  “I didn’t.”

  “Yet here you are talking…”

Sasha glared at him and he chuckled.

“C’mon shawty, let’s go get your car so you can do all that contemplating in the privacy of your own vehicle.”

“Bleek, you are such a gentleman. Shayla must adore your sensitivity,” Sasha stated with sarcasm speaking of his daughter’s mother and current girlfriend. She stepped out of the car along with him and they began to walk inside. Sasha admired the sunny, beautiful Georgia day. “Don’t worry, with age will come compassion,” she added.

“Hey.” Bleek reached his hand out and stopped her, his hand lightly pressing her stomach to prevent her from walking forward.

“I’m compassionate… I just don’t know what the fuck you talking about so I can’t speak on it. And last I checked I was only one year younger than you.”

Sasha, now 24 years old, knew if she hadn’t already known Bleek’s age, it would be hard to believe. He didn’t look a day over eighteen. She moved his hand out of the way and lightly rolled her eyes.

  “Don’t worry about it.”

Sasha walked ahead of him and Bleek didn’t even glance at her apple shaped ass which sat up high in her tan linen romper. That was out of respect. Her long legs were on display and accentuated by brown Carlos Santana sandals. Brown shades, brown Ferragamo purse, and a long brown mane complemented by caramel sun-kissed highlights.

Sasha was a stunner, that was for sure.

“Hi, we’re here for the Mercedes, the cream CL600.”

She was anxious and excited. She prayed her car was finally done.

The young white girl punched a few keys into the computer but seemed lost. Then she smiled.

  “Oh, with the pink interior?”

  Sasha grinned.

  “Yes! Is she ready?”

“She is.” The girl reached under the desk and magically appeared with a key chain with a small remote. “And she’s gorgeousss. You’re lucky.” The white girl smiled from her to Bleek, likely assuming that he was her man and the one who had purchased the car. She kept her eyes on him for longer than she should have and Sasha shook her head because if it had been Chauncey, the girl’s ass would have been introduced to Carlos Santana by her foot.

  “Right this way.”

She led them to the car and Sasha almost jumped out of her skin when she saw it. Snatching the key, she ran to her car in pure euphoria.

“How ‘bout I slide through later… feed you and fuck you proper, shawty,” Bleek boldly suggested, having caught her prior look.

The girl glanced from Bleek to a smiling Sasha in the distance, and back to Bleek while running her hand through her blond hair.

“What about your girlfriend?” She asked smiling, revealing she could care less.

“What about her?” Bleek shot her the dimpled smile and she was putty. After giving him her number, she made her way back inside and Bleek went over to Sasha.

“You happy now that you got your country ass car?” He looked at the baby pink leather and shook his head.

“You happy now that you bagged that country ass bunny?” Sasha retorted, familiarizing with the interior.

“I owe it all to you,” Bleek smiled at her. “For some reason women want you more when they think you got a girl.”

“And when they think you buying that girl a custom laced Benz,” Sasha added. Bleek chuckled knowing she was right.

Just then they heard a voice in the distance.

“God damn, that bitch pretty as hell!”

Both looked up and Sasha beamed when she saw him strolling in like he owned the place. His smooth dark skin, jet black waves and goatee, black V-neck, sparkling diamonds, crisp jeans, and fresh Pradas gave him the look of a celebrity. He was so fine.

“Ain’t she tho’?” Sasha asked standing up to greet Chauncey.

“Wasn’t talking ‘bout the car, kid.” He licked his lips, grabbing her hips and Sasha blushed, playfully punching him.

“Ain’t no bitches over here, homie.” She pecked him on the lips. “Yay, you came! Now we can go to dinner.”

Chauncey sighed and Sasha knew it before he said it.

  “Look, don’t be mad…”

“Then why did you come?” She asked, loosening out of his grip with attitude.

“I was just swinging by real quick, wanted to see how you looked in ya shit. Plus I had to drop a few more bills on the embroidering you added. But I gotta go handle something.”

“Chauncey, you always gotta go handle something. I can’t believe you!”

Chauncey found it ironic that Sasha was arguing about the time that he couldn’t spend with her because he was out making money, money that had bought the very customized car that she was drooling over at that moment.

“I’ma make it up to you kid, I promise.”

“Oh yeah? What day should I mark my calendar?”

He grinned at the way her lips puckered out when she was mad. Kissing her he turned to Bleek.

“Good looking, yo. I’m jetting over to meet with them Southside boys. I’ll fill you in later. If you speak to J, you tell her it went smooth. Tell her hit me up at ten.” Chauncey looked over and saw Sasha was still pouting. He had something for her spoiled ass. “Yo Bleek, make sure you take care of that bitch.”

Sasha punched him hard with all of her might, biting her bottom lip in anger. Bleek had to laugh.

“Yo relax, I meant the car baby... I meant the car,” Chauncey shot with a grin, knowing he had gotten under her skin. He grabbed her up and gave her a big sloppy kiss even though her lips were still pressed in anger.

“Hey,” he said, holding her hips. “Cut that shit out. I’ll see you later.”

Before she could reply he slipped his designer shades back on and strolled away. The same girl that had helped Sasha before watched Chauncey in lust, even after she had just given her number to Bleek. Sasha pursed her lips and gave the girl a once over. Now she was really considering the Carlos Santana introduction.

Ree wrapped up his phone call and Jayde could see the deliberation all in his face. He had talked so intensely since the time he received the call from inside of the estate, to the time they departed. Something had happened.r />
  “Everything alright?”

They were now riding in the back of a bulletproof Expedition. Jayde’s driver behind the wheel since Crush had taken Tatum to town.

There was a pause before Ree answered, his gaze set on the outside through the tinted windows.

“We have to make a stop. Head east, Saint Andrews.” Ree ordered calmly to the driver. He ignored Jayde’s question. Obeying instantly, the driver took the first right to turn around.

“Shall I tell my friend that we’re running behind?” She asked not wanting to probe too much.

“We won’t be long,” he assured.

Jayde nodded and then reached into her bag, pulling out her phone.

“Okay, well just excuse me while I make another call.” She uncrossed and crossed her legs again letting off a faint scent of her Dior perfume which was sprayed between her thighs.

Scrolling through her contacts, she placed a familiar call.

“Where are you?” She wasted no time asking.

There was a delay and then, “I’m leaving the dealership now. I just spoke to C.”

Jayde looked over at Ree who still seemed deep in thought. She figured she’d jolt his attention.

  “Are you still with Sasha?”

Bleek glanced over at Sasha who was sitting in the passenger side of her car while he programmed her navigation. He knew what she had told him when his phone first started to ring.

  “Nah…nah, she left.”

Sasha mouthed the words ‘thank you’ to him.

  Disappointed, Jayde changed the subject.

  “Did you handle everything?”

“Yeah. And C said to call him at ten.”

“That’s a good boy,” Jayde whispered sultrily. “Mama’s gonna reward you good for that.”

Ree continued to stare ahead but Jayde smirked because she knew he was listening. He was always listening, that’s how a nigga like him moved and stayed in tuned with his surroundings.

  Bleek seemed unaffected.

“Yeah, aight J. I ain’t up for ya games right now.”

Sasha looked over wondering what he was talking about.

“This is no game, baby. And I ain’t just talking tongue action. When I get back I’m gonna fuck you all up and down that bed.”

The most Ree gave to that was a shift in his seat and a glance at his watch, but she knew she had his attention.

“Yeah well, we’ll see about that. You been singing that tune for months and I felt no walls yet. Got me thinking you scared.”

Sasha rolled her eyes and twisted her face in disgust. She knew whatever Jayde was saying on the other end was sure to be nauseating.

  Jayde giggled at his cockiness.

“Oh trust, ain’t no timid pussy this way. Tasty maybe, but not timid.”

“Yeah, I hear ya talking,” Bleek stated nonchalantly. He already had said a mouthful with Sasha in the car, and for some reason it was uncomfortable.

“Hear me now, feel me later,” Jayde said as they pulled up to the pit stop destination Ree had requested. It was someone’s home.

  “I’ll be in touch.”

Pressing the end button, she dropped the phone into her Valentino purse. Ree opened the door and stepped out. Before he closed the door he turned to Jayde.

“Ayo, next time have that conversation in private. Business is business. Personal is personal. And I don’t like it mixing… I’ll be back.”

He slammed the door and Jayde’s pussy jumped with the vibration. She smirked, knowing he had heard every seductive word.

“He’s a fucking god,” Jayde bellowed, throwing her head back. The driver looked at her through the rearview and she caught his eye.

  “What? Mind ya fucking business!”

Knocking twice on the door, Ree adjusted the waist of his pants so that his Smith & Wesson 45ACP sat comfortably. He carried a gun at all times so the weight was nonexistent; sometimes he had to shift it to make sure it was still there.

He could hear footsteps approaching on the inside so he was able to anticipate her way before the door even creaked open.

  “Hi, Sean.”

Trinity stood before him with her short, black silk robe clinging to her damp body. A smile adorned her natural face which left no traces of the makeup she had worn earlier. She had obviously just gotten done showering.

“Come in.” She stepped aside and opened the door wider. “S.J. just woke up.”

Ree stepped into the front foyer, closing the door behind him. The house was dim; most of the curtains were drawn. It was small, but it was neat and clean; a major step up from Trinity’s prior dwellings in Tivoli Gardens, the roughest projects in Kingston.

Following her into the modest living room, Ree saw the bassinet set up in the corner and sighed. Instead of immediately walking over, he placed his hands in his pockets and stared from a distance. Trinity found it amusing.

“You can go and pick him up, you know? He won’t bite ya Sean.” Her voice was island laced as she giggled, much thicker accented than his since she had never been to or known anywhere but Jamaica.

Ree took heavy and slow steps toward the child, never taking his eyes away. Finally reaching him, Ree leaned over and studied the small bundle. The baby was dressed in a mere onesie since the house was warm with only a few fans going. Little fingers, little toes, a small nose, innocent eyes…he was perfect.

As Ree stared at S.J., Trinity couldn’t help but to study him. She was infatuated with him and sure that it was love. She used to believe it was because he was so powerful, so important, so rich, and so respected. But the truth was that the short time she had been in Ree’s world, it had been the happiest time of her life. He was always honest with her, whether she wanted to hear it or not. He was attentive and satisfying in bed, he was attractive, and he was dominant. What more could anyone ask for in a man?

“He’s beautiful, isn’t he?” Trinity beamed, walking closer to them…to him.

“…He is.” Ree’s voice was low, almost in a whisper. As if he was thinking deeply on something. Trinity hoped he was thinking on giving them another shot and shipping his American project princess back to the States.

“He’s got your eyes,” Ree acknowledged still looking at the baby. “And your nose…”

Trinity smiled knowing that he did take after her greatly.

  “Yeah, he does.”

Ree looked up at her and stared intently for a while. Then he let out a small smile. Reaching his hand up he ran it across Trinity’s cheek and brought it down, cupping her chin. He could see her eyes lower in lust.

“Can I tell you something?” He asked her.

“Anything, Sean.” She was breathy, full of hope.

Ree looked down at S.J. and then up at Trinity, who he had spent a year of his life with. Had Tatum not come back into his world, she probably would still be in his life. He made unflinching eye contact.

  “He looks nothing like me.”

Trinity’s eyes widened and she crinkled her brow in hurt.

  “Sean…he looks like me.”

Ree looked down at the child again and chuckled.

“Yeah, he does. But he looks nothing like me.”

“Sean,” Trinity started with devastation in her voice as she nervously tightened the belt on her robe. “That…that doesn’t mean anything! You got your test. You know the answer! Why are you coming over here with this shit? You got your damn test!”
