Pride & Pleasure (The KNIGHT Brothers Book 1) Page 14

by Rhonda Lee Carver

  “So good,” she whispered.

  “That’s only the start, sweetheart.”

She looked up at him, her eyes bright and fervent. Her bottom lip was tucked between her teeth, maybe to hide the trembling. She smiled the prettiest smile that filled his heart. He buried his face in her neck, enjoying the feel of her underneath him for a breath’s moment.

  “Victor?” she whispered.

“Just taking in the moment, sweetheart. You’re something special, you know?”

She didn’t answer, but he heard the hitch in her breath. “Take me. I want to know what a man and woman can share together. I want you.”

Her words sprinted through him like fireworks. He was already so turned on by her scent, her splendor, her everything, that he had to concentrate on his breathing to gain control.

Shifting, he reached to the nightstand, opened the drawer and took out a condom from the box. He watched her lovingly stare at him as he opened the package, pulled out the sheath and rolled it onto his cock. Once it was in place, he moved to between her legs, situated himself close and wanted nothing more than to sink himself deep like a pleasure finding missile. But this was different—Avary was different. The fact that she was a virgin meant he needed to be as gentle as possible. If he hurt her in anyway he’d never forgive himself. So, with the tenderness of a giant holding a kitten, he kissed her, plunging his tongue inside of her mouth, plundering her sweetness. Once she brought her hips high, pounding him in invitation, he slid into her in one, deep thrust. He felt the resistance in her channel and he stopped. Her nails sunk into his back as she pulled at him, bringing her hips upward. She wanted him to continue. He pushed and sunk further into her moist canal, her cries filled the room.

He held himself on his elbows, looking down at her. “Are you okay?”

She brought her eyes open. “Never better,” she whimpered.

Her words propelled him to continue and he began a gentle rocking of his hips, adjusting her tight body around his cock. She braced her hands on his shoulders and used them as leverage. He lifted her bottom up from the bed, driving their bodies closer together until he was balls deep inside of her as she wrapped around him as snug as a new leather glove. She continued to move, lifting her hips, gliding their bodies together until her muscles loosened slightly and he was able to move without an insane grip that would send him over the edge before he gave her any pleasure.

“You feel so good,” he groaned.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and brought her face up, kissing him. “So do you.” Her pussy clenched him, caressing his cock, causing him to tighten beyond belief. He enjoyed the fact that she knew how to use her muscles. She began to rotate her hips, expertly sliding down his length, bringing her hips high and him deeper in her channel. She continued this until he needed to take over the reins. He pumped himself into her, over and over again as she brought her legs around his ass, riding him. She kissed his chest, swirled the tip of her tongue around one nipple, then the other until each flat nub throbbed, matching the sensations in his cock. Her inner muscles squeezed around him and he wasn’t sure how much longer he could control the need to go.

Slipping his hand between their sweat soaked bodies, he found her clit and massaged the bud until it swelled under his finger. Using two fingers, he squeezed the fleshy head, kneading it, until she arched her back, moaning deeply.

He caught the moan with his mouth, drinking her in as she found her release. The vice-like clutch, the sudden heat around his shaft and her response pushed him over the edge. Once the spasms left his body, he slid to her side, holding her close. Neither said anything. Words weren’t needed.

  CHAPTER EIGHT

Avary let the sheet drop in her bathroom at the Knight Estate and sighed languorously. The splashing sound of the water running into the tub should have relaxed her. After all, she was in a mansion surrounded by grapevines, but she had something weighing heavily on her mind. She’d had sex with Victor an hour ago. She should have been gone by now, back home with her sister—back to being as boring as two-day old dishwater.

Instead, here she was getting into that luxurious tub to wash after she and Victor had made love. Goosebumps popped out on her skin as she felt a smile dance at the corner of her mouth. Yes, she was just that pleased.

She looked at her reflection in the full-length mirror, looking for physical differences in her body. Besides the flushed color on her chest and inner thighs, she looked the same. Internally, things were quite different though. She’d lost her virginity. So this was what it felt like? Why hadn’t she done it years ago?

Victor wasn’t around, that was why.

Just as she’d guessed, he’d been a gentle lover, bringing her pleasure before finding his own.

Time could pass, but she’d never forget how glorious it felt lying in his arms, warm and protected. Longingly, she climbed into the hot water.

Her body felt extra sensitive as she submerged into the large tub. Sighing, she eased back and laid her head on the curved side, looking out the window. Rain pelted away at it. She stretched one leg and used her toe to shut off the water. She chuckled lightly, excited over the thought that she was now a woman. She’d never felt so sexy, so powerful.

She had to wonder if she was thinking rationally. They’d only just met and in the course of forty-eight hours he’d taken her virginity and she had a good cause to believe that her heart was now involved. This wasn’t the baby steps her therapist had wanted for her. She chuckled again.

Victor didn’t want a relationship. She was just a weekend fling. By tomorrow morning, would he forget all about her?

A heavy hearted feeling came over her chest. She didn’t want to be forgotten, not when this morning would forever be embedded in her memory.

Throbbing pulsated in her nipples, slowly oozing lower to between her thighs, still sensitive from Victor’s attention. The heat building there raised the temperature of the water. She’d been on fire since he’d looked at her and flashed that charming smile. No wonder Selena kept coming back for more. Avary didn’t know anything about the ins and outs of sex, but she would bet her eye teeth that not every man made love like Victor.

She scooted deeper into the tub until the water skimmed her chin. Angling her head until her hair was wet, she grabbed the bottle of shampoo from the side and opened the lid, inhaling the sweet scent. She read the label and couldn’t even pronounce it, sure that it came from an upscale salon. Pouring a small amount into her palm, she massaged the liquid into her hair and scalp, loving how it made her skin tingle like a light massage.

Her mind drifted back to Victor. After she’d left his bed, she’d come straight to her room. She wondered if he was taking a shower right now too? The idea of a nude Victor standing naked under a stream of water made her core tingle. Why hadn’t they taken a shower together?

She wasn’t quite ready for that…or at least, not brazen enough to offer. Although, she was beginning to think she’d do just about anything with him.

Yet, what was she thinking? She would be leaving this morning. Would she ever see him again?

She blinked and soap went into one eye. She dunked into the water and wiped her eyes clean, wishing she could cleanse her brain too.

Coming up out of the water, no such luck.

What was this cloud of emotion hovering over her? She’d never believed in fairy tales and there was no way she’d start now.

And trust…what a big word. She hadn’t trusted anyone in a long time, and yet, she trusted Victor. If she hadn’t, she wouldn’t have given herself to him.

There was no denying she wanted more of Victor. She’d loved his touch, his kisses. The way he made her feel sensual. Her gaze naturally fell to her scarred hand. She had even forgotten about the past.

The past had gone into the deep recesses of her mind.

Victor was good at making her feel lots of interesting things.

Grabbing the conditioner, she squirted a good amount in he
r hand and used it on the bottom half of her hair and rinsed the crème. She then wetted a washcloth, poured body soap into the center and smoothed it over her arm, thinking how he’d brought her body alive. Maybe instead of being here, in a tub of hot water, she should have stayed in his bed and had a second round? But she wasn’t because she had darted from his room the second he voiced that he had to make a business call. He hadn’t asked her to leave, but she’d assumed.

Frustrated, she scrubbed her other arm, back, and legs as Victor’s wickedly green eyes and sultry smile set up camp in her brain cells. She moved the cloth over her skin until it tingled.

What if she went back home and ended up hiding away again? What if she didn’t perform anymore?

  Okay, don’t think negatively.

The man who’d attacked her had taken enough of her time—punishing her to a jail sentence right along with him. Truth was simple. He had been a drug addict going through a rough time. That evening he’d been out looking for an easy way to make money, and she just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Simplifying the situation didn’t mean she was defending him. It only meant that she could have prevented him doing something far worse to someone else.

She shifted and brought her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them. Things would be better for her because she’d make sure they were. She would continue to recover by leaps and bounds. She’d reclaim a part of her she’d put to the side for too long, dust off the old Avary and start fresh. This was the beginning of something new for her.

Stretching out her legs, she leaned into the tub and closed her eyes, focusing on how relaxed all of her muscles were including her brain. Yet, arousal hung thick between her legs. Although she’d found surmountable pleasure with Victor, she had a strong craving for more.

Allowing her body to ease into the water, she held her breath, counting to ten, then brought her head up. Everything around her was blurred and she wiped the water from her eyes and jumped. Victor was standing next to the tub. Was she imagining him? And the dangerous expression on his face? She blinked and he was still there, his gaze narrowed.

Despite the fact that he’d seen her naked, and had touched and licked many parts of her body, she still had the urgency to cover her breasts with her arms and snap her thighs together as if he could see the throbbing need in her core.

“I’m taking a bath,” she muttered.

“Obviously.” A smile played at the corner of his mouth.

He didn’t appear the least apologetic and, honestly, she didn’t expect him too. She was excited to see him as he was to see her if she gauged his anticipation by the bulge in his slacks. He’d taken a shower. The tips of his hair was damp. He was clean-shaven and dressed in a polo shirt. “Give me a minute—”

He stepped closer, taking a seat on the side of the tub, reaching for the wet washcloth she’d hung on the side. She watched curiously as he dunked it into the water, then poured a small amount of the soap on it.

Her lips shouldn’t have been tilted into a smile and her heart shouldn’t have been singing a glorious tune, but when he started washing her back she wanted to curl up into a fetal position and purr. Could it be possible she was dreaming?

No, because if she was he’d be naked and in the tub with her.

“Did you come in here to wash my back?”

“As much as this is rewarding, in all honesty, I came to speak to you.”

Her first thought was to ask, ’And it couldn’t wait until I was done here?’, but she didn’t. Instead, she said, “Okay.”

“Before I jump into my thoughts, are you feeling okay? Is your body sore?”

His sweet concern kicked her straight in the chest, making her heart beat abnormally fast. She watched his reflection in the large mirror hanging in front of the tub and her lungs wouldn’t work right.

  “Avary?” He lifted a brow.

“Sorry.” She’d been stuck somewhere on his sweet words and a sweeter touch. “I’m feeling fine—better than fine really.”

He smiled and the invisible chord between her chest and inner thighs was tugged. Avary gulped air.

“Glad to hear. I feel pretty tremendous myself.” He smiled and she was suspended in his beautiful lips, longer than should ever happen.

“Good…great…I mean, we both deserved it.” What? She should think before she spoke.

Who could blame her lack of logic? Here she was, naked in a tub of water with sexy, charming Victor rubbing her back. She wouldn’t be able to count the number of women who’d be jealous if they only knew. She had every right to be drunk on passion.

He dipped the cloth into the water several times, then finally squeezed the water out. “Anything else need washed?” His meaning hanging on his expression.

She could think of a number of things. “I-I should get out…”

He stood and shifted to the other side of the tub, facing her.

“My body is fine,” she said.

“Yes, it is.” His gaze lowered to the water.

Her thighs throbbed. “I’m supposed to be back in Richmond now.” The thought slipped from the pathways of her brain straight out of her mouth.

“That’s why I want to speak to you.” He grinned in a way that made her veins constrict. He took her hand that she had clutched to the tub and examined the palm. “You’re turning into a raisin.” He stood, reached for the towel from the hook, and held it wide. “Come, let’s get you out of there.”

Her stomach flip-flopped. Why was she so self-conscious?

Without another thought, she unplugged the drain and stepped out of the water, walking into his towel-covered arms and he wrapped it around her body. She fixed it so that the material was held around her tight.

“There you are.” He kissed the top of her head and scanned the bathroom.

“What are you looking for?” she asked.

  “Your clothes.”

  “Why?”

“So that I can dress you.”

She swallowed. “No…I can do that.” Her cheeks flamed.

He smiled. “Have you forgotten what we shared?”

“No, I haven’t and never will, but this is all new to me.”

There was a slight hesitation before he finally nodded. “I’ll meet you out there.”

Once he was gone, she hurried and pulled on her clothes, wishing she could do something with her hair, but her brush was sitting on the bed, exactly where she found him when she went into the bedroom. He was sitting on the edge, his long legs stretched and his ankles hooked. Seeing him like this was something she could easily get used to. “Come, sit next to me.” He patted the spot beside him.

Sitting as he requested, she cleared her throat. “You’re starting to worry me.”

“No worries, sweetheart. I’d like for you to stay.”

  She blinked. “Huh?”

  “Don’t go today,” he said.

“But…well, I have to. I promised Dawn that I’d have her car back today. In fact, I’m late.” She steadied her bare feet on the metal frame of the bed.

“That won’t be a problem. I’ll have someone take the car back to her.”

“I don’t have enough clothes.” Besides the jeans and casual long sleeved shirt, she had only dressier clothing, not to mention she didn’t have any undergarments.

“I’ve already thought of that. I asked Max to see to that problem.”

“Max? How would he fix that problem?”

“He called one of the boutiques and told her what we needed, and she said she’d have a new wardrobe here by this afternoon.”

She moistened her bottom lip. “Wait…how is that possible? You don’t know my size.”

“Angelina’s a pretty good guess when it comes to this stuff.”

  “Angelina knows about this?”

“Not only does she know, but she couldn’t be happier.” He tilted his chin.

“Isn’t that a bit presumptuous since you hadn’t even asked me yet?”

>   He shrugged. “I believe in planning ahead, and I wasn’t sure how you could say no.”

Stunned, she stood up and crossed her arms over her waist as she stepped to the window. “I-I…why would you think that?”

  “I think we’ve had a good time—”

She held up a hand to stop him. “Wait, why exactly are you asking me to stay?”

“I’d pay you triple what I first offered.”

Her lungs deflated. Triple? His offer shook her to the core. “That didn’t quite answer my question.”

“Angelina has enjoyed having you here, Avary. She’s more herself than she has been in a long time. She wants you to stay longer.”

Yet what about you? Didn’t he want her to stay too? She searched her mind for pros and cons. With what he was offering, she could definitely get back on her own feet, move into her own place, and buy the cello she’d been wanting, while having some left over, but it all seemed so…well…awkward. “I’m not sure this is a good idea.”

  “Why?”

She looked at him. Wow. She’d never been looked at in that way before. It curled her toes and made thinking hard to do. “Because, especially what we shared this morning.”

He chuckled. “I’m not paying you to stay here and have sex with me, and although I could think of far worse things, I’d hope you’d want to have sex with me again because it was wonderful.”

Her cheeks warmed and she was aware of every pore on her body because she soaked up his words like a sponge in an ocean. “I don’t know…”

  “One week, Avary.”

  One week.

What could go wrong in seven days?

  A lot.

She could fall in love with Victor.

  Dangerous.

  Foolish.

  Was she already?

To deny that she wanted to stay was useless. She wanted to be here in the safety zone. Yet, if she could fall for him, it might not be quite as safe as she thought.

If she stayed, her heart would never be the same. If she left, she’d regret it for eternity.
