“Okay, babe. I will wait for you. I will get ready for you.” I murmur with my sexy voice.

“Good girl,” I can feel his grin. I grin myself, already visualizing him and me, making love.

I open my laptop. I play some music and check for a nice movie to watch tonight. Every Sunday I try and watch a movie. I did this for years. I’m sure Levi will like to see a movie with me. A romantic one. I scroll around, searching and searching. Time passes without even realizing. I move my eyes from the screen of my laptop to that of my phone. It’s vibrating. I look to see whose calling me. No ID, just a number. Hmm…I answer anyway.

  “Yes?” I say stern.

“Alice Morgan?” A female voice echoes inside my ears.

“That’s me.” I continue with the same tone.

“I’m calling from the Gregory Publishing House. Mr. Adams wishes for you to come by his office tomorrow morning. He needs to discuss some details. It is okay around 11AM?” she asks me.

I get up of the bed when I hear it’s from the publisher. I reply that I’m okay with the hour. She ends the call with a cold Good Bye. I make a face of disgust. This bitch.

So tomorrow I need to be at his office. I wonder what he will tell me. I wish Levi would have his book publish too. WAIT! I didn’t even read it! I totally forgot about his book. He didn’t even tell me about it. I need to read it. I will ask to make me a copy of it.

I let myself drop back on the bed. It that moment the door opens and Levi stands there, in his perfect fit suit. He looks so hot I can’t even think straight. He smiles at me, white teeth grinning at me.

“What?” I ask him just to stop his stupid smirk.

  “You,” he simple answers.

  “Me?”

“Just you. Only you.” He walks towards me, in the same time dropping his jacket to the floor. That piece must be 5k alone.

“Come here, I want to feel your skin, to feel your soft touch.”

I comply with his demand, coming closer to him, my hands on his muscular chest. I can sense his heart beats through his shirt. As I touch him, his heart beats faster and faster, in anticipation for what is to come. Mine is even crazier, imagining the pleasure I’m about to experience. He raises my head by my chin and kisses me just for a second then backs away, lingering at the edge. He waits for me to pursue him, and I do. I grab him by his tie and pull down, toward me. Our lips interlock once more, this time raw, a primal instinct emanating from our kiss. I continue to pull him by the tie until I fall on the bed and Levi with me. Of course, his body doesn’t crush me, but offers me a nice pressure, that is always welcomed. He takes his shirt of, revealing his tight abs and well build body. I rub against him, my nipples getting harder and harder; so is his cock. I can feel him pulsating as it grows, making my mind go into the forbidden zone. I push him back a little, so as to take my shirt of, but in that moment a knock at the door rings inside my ears. A moment later, the door opens wide and Lola plus Liz stand stunned.

“Hey love birds, you look so hot!” says Lola with a grin on her face. Liz says nothing, just staring at us with big eyes.

“Hey girls, what are you doing?” Levi asks with a low voice, not moving from his position. Do you wanna join us?” he continues, laughing.

“Levi,” I whisper to him, grabbing his jaw with my left hand.

“What? Is just a question, right girls?”

“I want to join, if that’s okay?” asks Lola smiling at Levi, half naked.

“Come here,” Levis hand raised in her direction. I push him of me, and get up on my feet.

“What the fuck, Lola? Why you came here?” I spit out the words without even realizing.

Levi’s smile drops to the floor.

“Babe, we were joking, you know that,” he says to me with a I’m sorry voice. I completely ignore him. Let it eat him.

“Hey, look at me! Lola, tell her you’re sorry!”

“I don’t need any apologies from any of you.” He grabs me by the hand, pulling me is his direction.

  “Let go, Levi.”

He opens his grip and I leave the room in a hurry.

Dinner time. We all sit in the kitchen, silent. Nine people are at the table. The twins are back and Ashley is too. My position is opposite to Levi and Lola. I sit next to Ashley and Zoe, my new allies. He stares at me as I eat, his brain searching for a quick answer. I pierce him with my cold blue eyes, as I normally do in situations like this. I don’t like this, but something must be done about it.

Apparently, everyone had a bad day today, as no one is eager to share anything. Only Oliver smiles like a crazy man. I wonder what happened with him. I think his stoned.

I finish first. I get up and make my way to the door. As I turn I see Lola rising. I continue to walk but she catches up with me outside the kitchen.

“What?” I say with my bitch tone.

“Are you still mad? I don’t understand; you didn’t act this way. At least not in the past.”

“Hmm…, and?” I pursue my first line.

“And, you know, we sisters. You know that. All the girls know that. Sharing is caring, is what Elena used to say, right?” She smiles at me, flapping her eyelashes in her most cute way possible. I succumb to her charms. I let her hug me tight, as we always do in situations like this one.

“Welcome back, sis! I miss you.”

“Bitch,” I say and we both start laughing.

“Hey, listen to me. I want the four of us the go into the club. Like in the old days. In the last year we didn’t go partying like crazy no more. You need to reconnect to your inner animal. Maybe it will help you with your writing as well. If not, you still had a great time.” I hear her words, imagining the old days, when I was the soul of the party. I abandoned that path for my writing career. She is true. We should go and get crazy one night. Only the four of us, without Levi or anyone.

“Pff, okay Lola, I’m in. You tell Liz and I will speak with Ash. It will require more convincing. Next Saturday we go out.

  “Perfect!”

  Monday morning.

I wake early. I need to make that meeting today. Ahh, I’m so tired and I don’t know why. Fuck this shit! I get up, without Levi even moving. I go into the bathroom. I take my time, doing all the regular stuff at a terrible speed. Finally done with it, I return back to the room. I make a couple of steps and even before I notice Levi is not where I left him, he pops from the back, giving me a scare. I turn around and hit his arm.

“What are you doing now? Weren't you sleeping?”

“No? I was waiting for you to get up. I want to give you something,” he murmurs at me, like his afraid of the outcome.

“At this hour? What is it?” I ask a little curious about all this. When did he have time to buy me something? Hmm….

He suddenly kneels in front of me, his head into the ground. What is he doing? Then I feel his warm hands on my leg, going down to my ankle. I cold chill runs up my spine as he puts around a gold bracelet with four small hearts.

I feel it cold on my skin but the meaning behind it is hot.

“You got it for my ankle and not my wrist?” I ask just to tease him.

“You don’t like it?” he whispers as I can barely hear.

“I love it, babe. Come here, give me a hug.”

I drop down to the floor and embrace him, forgetting what happened. I can’t be mad at him, his too good of a guy to be mad at.

I arrive at the meeting, but I’m not alone. Levi insisted to take me. We both walk through the doors like we own this place. The people present stare at us, like we are some celebs. I know, we are perfect together.

“Alice dear, welcome back! My God, but who do I see before my eyes! Levi boy, good to see you!” Mr. Adams greets us in his manner. I like it.

“Hey Mr. Adams! Love to see you today.” I contrast my words to match his.

“I hope I’m not intruding, Mr. Adams,” says Levi with a smile on his face.

“Nonsense, my boy, you are always welcomed
here. You should come more often.” He starts laughing and we follow his lead. His energy is breathtaking. I love people like him. Forever joyful, whatever the situation. It makes you think why we are so depressed sometimes. The reasons are meaningless if you actually realize it.

Next to Mr. Adams is John, the man who helped me with all this shit. He was at my side, guiding me for this moment.

“Let us sit down and begin,” he says with his stern voice, always doing business, always in a hurry to be somewhere, to help somebody.

One hour later, we leave. The meeting is over. A lot of technical stuff had to be discussed. Good we are done with that.

“Where we going now Levi? I ask him while he starts the engine of his car. It’s pretty cold outside, but inside the car it’s too hot.

“Babe, it’s too hot here. Set it low.”

“You’re too hot,” he murmurs with a grin on his face.

  “I’m serious.”

  “Me too,” he continues.

“Whatever.” I slide down the window, cold air touching my skin. So refreshing!

“It’s still early. Want to go somewhere?” he asks me going for a kiss. I back up a little, my hand grabbing his lips; I seal them together, making him look like a duck. He looks so funny, it gives me a laugh.

  “Ha-ha…, I’m serious, babe.”

“Me too,” I use the same words as he did seconds ago. I love to tease him whenever I get the chance. The faces he makes are ridiculous.

It’s Monday morning. Saturday I go at the club with the girls. Until then I don’t know what I should do. I’m bored.

“Lets do something fun!” I jump out of nowhere, scaring Levi.

“Let’s go to an amusement park. I wanna ride them crazy rollercoaster’s to get my heart racing.”

“I can do that, no problem. With only two fingers.” He says with a smirk, expecting me to drop right there. Not going to happen. Not this time. Let him beg me for it. I want to see him desperate.

“Sure, of course, keep dreaming,” I say checking my phone.

“Want to make a bet?” he says with confidence. I ignore him, knowing that the truth is on his side. He can make me cum with only two fingers, but that doesn’t mean he can brag about it. I can do it too, if it comes to that.

“Are you listening to me? Alice? Wonderland to Alice, do you copy?”

“Ha-ha, you are so funny. Now let’s go to the park. I want to go to this one.” I show him an image on my phone that I just searched seconds ago.

“Okay, okay…, no need to show me the address, I know where it is.”

  “Good.”

We reach the park half an hour later. I exalted, Levi not so much. I don’t know why he doesn’t like this stuff. They are so fun; I would come here every week. Maybe he got some bad experiences when he was little, who knows.

“We are here, finally,” I comment.

  “Yeap, so fantastic.”

“Why are you so grumpy? You don’t like this place or what?” I ask staring Levi in the eye, expecting an honest answer.

“I almost died in one of these machines. I was twelve. Since then I didn’t ride any of this shit. You happy now?” his voice is broken, barely hearable among the screams and music. I want to ask him more about it, but I drop it, knowing that the memory is not a pleasant one for sure. I don’t want him to suffer any more. I grab his face between my hands, cupping his cheeks. I gently kiss his lips, one at the time. He lets me do so, but doesn’t act. I hug him tight, bearing my head in his chest. I didn’t know this was so serious. I wish I didn’t bring him here. I’m sure it’s very uncomfortable for Levi to be here.

“We can leave if you want. I’m okay with it.”

“No, we stay. We got here, so let’s not waste this time. I want you to be happy.”

“I want you to be happy, baby. You don’t need to do this for me. Trust me, we can do something else.”

“Really, it’s okay. Let’s have some fun while we here. I am a big boy now, right?” he asks with a soft voice, trying to find a way to comfort himself. I embrace his try, snuggling into him, giving my heat and love.

“Of course, Levi dear. You are what any girl would want. A loving, protecting man that takes care of her, as you do with me.

Passing through this moment, we go and try out some of the rides. I can see Levi is not so enthusiastic about it but he really wanted to do this with me, so I agreed just for his sake.

In the end I had some fun and Levi did too. I’m glad he got over his past, welcoming the future.

  Chapter XIII

“Ahh, I hate school! Why do I need to go anyway? It’s not like it helps me,” says Zoe with a loud voice, piercing throughout the room.

“Chill down, you always say this shit every time school starts,” I address her screaming with a calm voice, trying to drop it on her.

“It’s not like I’m poor or anything to go to school, you know?” she continues moving around the living room. Damn, every year I find Zoe doing this stupid ritual, I could say. Of course, I need to calm her every fucking year. Oliver doesn’t give a fuck and there is no one else to do it. Maybe this year the other girls will help, but I doubt it.

“Baby sister, calm down, come here, and let me give you a hug.”

“What? I’m not ten anymore you know? You a pedophile now?” she babbles around.

“Now you did it, come here!” I say running to catch her. She tries to get away but with no success.

“Let me go, let me go now!” she screams like I’m killing her.

“You sure act like a ten year old. Stop resisting; I want to help you, that’s all. You really need a boyfriend. Your hormones are going crazy.”

“Now you tell me what to do with my personal life, ehh?” I look at her, puzzled by her reactions. She never acted in this way. It’s weird, but I guess teens are crazy in the first place.

“Do what you want; I’m out of this place. Go into your room and break something. Maybe it will cool you down,” I say with a smile on my face, knowing she will never break something of her own.

I leave the house, making my way to the office. The next couple of days will be busy. I will have to actually do stuff. My brother has made an offer to an eccentric guy that wants to build a branch here, in Boston. His in the tech industry. I’m not sure what he develops; I need to do my homework today. I will have Jane update me.

The drive to the office was slow and boring. Jane already had prepared all the documents I needed for my meeting with this guy. She is always thinking ahead. I love that about her; no need to tell her every time what I need or what she should do. More likely, she tells me what I need to do or not do. I check about this dudes info, passing page by page in slow motion. So boring I could watch the grass grow and still be more entertained.

It’s lunch time. I take a break and go eat something. We have our own cafeteria with pretty good food, actually. I made sure of that, I need to stay on my macros. I sit on a table alone but Jane shortly joins me. It seems the only friend I have in this place is her. I’m okay with that. I don’t like this people anyway. They so stiff and boring, going about their life in the most trivial way possible.

“All alone, eh?” she asks me as she sits down with her plate.

“Like always, right?” I say with my head in the food, eating at a fast speed.

“Easy with that, do you want to choke?”

“It’s okay, I have you here,” I continue at the same pace as before.

“I’m not the only one you have, Levi. You know that, and you need to embrace that, for your own good.”

“Yes, yes. I’m trying okay? It’s not that easy, you know! The things I went through. You can’t understand, so don’t act like you know what you are talking about, ok?” I murmur with an angry voice, trying to suppress my anger that is building at a high speed. I don’t know why but I can’t forget my past, I just can’t. Maybe it’s not meant to be forgotten, but just ignored to the best of my ability.

  I
stand up, finished with my meal. Jane is not done, so I leave her behind and return to my office. I start the air conditioner and set it as low as I can. In no time the place is freezing but I just sit in my chair, like all is okay. Five minutes pass, Jane coming back from the cafeteria. She enters and instantly the chills get her.

“Levi, what are you doing? Give me that thing. You act like a ten year old. This is not for playing around,” she says getting the temperature back to normal.

“But you are, right?” I snap out of nowhere, the words coming out of my mouth like it’s not even me saying them. My voice is different from normal. I raise my head to check Jane’s reaction to what I said. She stands there, amazed by the stupid shit I say sometimes. She looks at me, like I’m broken, and I am, the truth be told. She makes two steps toward me, but with the corner of my eye I see the last person I need right now, Alice. My brain fires like crazy, attempting to regain my composure. I lighten up, putting a smile on my face.

“Alice, hey babe, what are you doing here?” I ask curious.

“She called me just before you left the cafeteria and said she wants to see your office and make you a surprise.”

“Hey, baby, you seem a little tired?” she acts with concerning eyes. She walks at a fast speed toward me, checking every inch of my face. Just what I needed.

“I’m okay dear, just tired from work, okay? Jane, isn’t that right?” I say softly grabbing Alice by the hands, trying to reassure her of the mistake she made.

“What are you working at?” she asks with such radiance that it pierces through my gloomy state. She pushes me with her hips and throws her eyes on the papers I have been reading. Her reading speed is amazing so in a matter of seconds she gets what’s up.

“Do you need any help? I can surely help with something, right?” she continues with her eyes still in the papers. I look at Jane, asking her with my stare what to do. She swiftly takes control of the situation, letting me rest on the side. I can’t do this right now.
