Lose Me: (New Adult Billionaire Romance) (Broken Idols) Page 40

by M. C. Frank

I’ll do the dive fifty more times, fighting my demons, fighting myself.

I’ll do it until I can own it.

And then, when the time comes for Wes to go back home, I may go with him. Or I may go to L.A. with Ollie and meet up with Coach and Matt and start training for another movie. Then Wes might win an Oscar and the world could go crazy around us with paparazzi and interviews and film proposals.

  But I’ll still be me.

And Wes will be Wes. And he’ll be there no matter what, because he saw me at my darkest. He loved me at my darkest.

But all of that is one step further. One dive further.

If I can own this dive, I can own the next step. And the next one after that. And so on. Because I can’t do this alone. And, the truth is, I don’t have to.

So for the rest of the day I dive.

As the sun begins to dip in the horizon, I lift my eyes to the road. There’s a tall figure walking towards the beach, painted black as the rays of the sun slant behind it.

I lift my hand in greeting and the figure lifts its hand too.

I dive again, shivering from cold and exhaustion, and once I’m in the water I start swimming to the shore. If I stop for a second the cold will catch up with me, so I walk straight up the beach towards where Wes, dressed in dry clothes, is waiting for me, a towel in his hands.

“Okay?” he asks me, wrapping it tightly around me. He leans down to muzzle my ear, but I’m so cold, I barely feel his touch. I burrow deeper in his arms, relishing the draw of my tired muscles and the warmth of his skin. My eyes are stinging from the salt.

“Let’s go,” I say, putting my hand in his.

Peter Wins Best Actor At the Oscars! Watch!

  Here’s The Acceptance Speech:

  [watch in HD]

What a night! Peter, the psychological thriller that has been sweeping the big screens across the globe, took home the Best Picture Award as well as the Best Actor Award! The flick, starring British prodigy mega-star Weston Spencer and talented child actor Candice Marks was easily the biggest surprise of the night. But the biggest winner tonight was hands down the gorgeous pirate of THE WATER WARS, Spencer, who wrapped up the Oscars with an emotional speech, thanking the producers and writers.

You can watch his entire speech on video, but here’s the press’ favorite snippet, which is being featured, as we speak, on celebrity blogs and magazines all over the planet:

‘This success does not belong to me. If you know me at all, you’re aware that I did my best to destroy myself this past year. Except, someone wouldn’t let me. A reporter asked me recently if I’ve got any regrets about my career so far. Well, let me tell you, I have a ton. But for the grace of God, I wouldn’t be here.’

In a gesture that was captured by a million camera flashes, Spencer pointed at his date in the audience, the unknown but stunning Ari Demos, 19, holding up the golden statuette in his other hand [3:45 min in the video]. Spencer teared up, as he added:

“I wouldn’t change anything. Not even the pain.”

  Don’t forget to review!

Did you know how much a single positive review can help an author out?

If a book has over a certain number of reviews it’s automatically bumped up to the retailer’s bestseller list!

So just write a few words to show your appreciation for the author’s hard work!

The creation of this book would not have been possible without the help of the amazing tumblr and instagram community. I went to you guys for support and encouragement, and found inspiration. When you said that I wasn’t ruined I believed you -that says it all. You are what makes writing the best thing that ever happened to me. I love you and I need you.

Not only this book, but also its author wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for someone –my someone. You are my constant source of strength and happiness. You know who you are to me and why everything I ever write will be dedicated to you.

M.C. FRANK has been living in a world of stories ever since she can remember. She started writing them down when she could no longer stand the characters in her head screaming at her to give them life.

In her books, characters find themselves in icy-cold dystopian worlds where kissing is forbidden (among other things), or in green forests ruled by evil Sheriffs.

Recently she got her university degree in physics and is now free to pursue her love of reading and writing, as well as her free-lance job of editor-in-chief. She currently lives with her husband in a home filled with candles, laptops and notebooks, where she rearranges her overflowing bookshelves every time she feels stressed.

She loves to connect with book lovers and other writers on social media. She’s found the most amazing friends and readers on tumblr and instagram, and they are what keeps her going when things get rough.
