“Yes, Meggie?”
“Are you alone?”
“All alone,” he said with a long intake of breath. He held it in for a moment before she heard the air escape his lungs.
“Drake?”
“Yes, Meggie?”
“Tell me where you are on the plane and what you’re wearing?”
“I can get very used to this side of you, baby, so bold and eager, I like it.”
“Drake, tell me. I want to know what you’re wearing, what you look like right at this very moment.”
“I’m in the bedroom at the back of the plane, and I’m wearing boxer briefs and a smile listening to your aroused voice. My eyes are closed, and I can envision your lovely face, the lust-filled look in your eyes when you’re about to orgasm. You’re eyes grow heavy with desire, and they gloss over a little. And, God help me, but when your lips part and those little sounds you make escape your throat, I’m lost. Oh, and that tongue of yours, when it sweeps across your bottom lip just before you bite down from the sensations you feel run through your body. Watching you come undone is pure pleasure in itself, Meggie.”
“Ahhh, Drake, I would love to see you right now. Take off your underwear, let them fall to your ankles, and leave them there. Pull the sheets away. I want you naked. I want you to think only of me. Listen to the sound of my voice and get all other thoughts out of your head. Lay back, Drake, and stroke yourself.”
“Meggie, you are such a naughty girl, and I have to ask, do you have a hidden camera in here somewhere? My briefs are wrapped around my ankles, baby, the sheets are pulled down low, just like you described, and I’m stroking myself just thinking about you and listening to your soft sexy voice.”
Meg could hear Drake’s short intake of breaths on the other end. “I wish I was there next to you. I wish I had you in my mouth with my hand wrapped around you right this very moment. Keep touching yourself, Drake. I want to hear you come.
“Jesus, Meggie, you’re killing me.”
“Tell me something, Mr. Noble.”
“Anything, just ask,” he panted, his breathing grew shallow and uneven. He was so close, Meg could hear it in his voice.
“Will you think about me while we’re apart?”
“I haven’t stopped thinking about you, Meggie. I can’t think of anything else but you. Those deep blue eyes that make it so difficult for me to think about anything other than bending you over and taking you deep. Your eagerness to please me, your soft skin, the way you look when you orgasm, how your body shakes in the aftermath while I hold you. Your taste is like heaven on my tongue, making me want to devour every last drop of your pleasure as it spills into my mouth.”
“Are you ready to come, Meggie?” Urgency was clear in his voice now, but he was holding back and waiting for her.
“I’m right on the edge. I’m so close, Drake.”
“I want you to come with me, put two fingers inside, tell me how wet you are for me.”
Meg did as he asked. “I’m so wet for you right now. I wish you were here. I wish you were inside me, filling me.”
“I’m right there with you, baby. Take your fingers out, suck on them.”
Meg withdrew her fingers and bought them up to her mouth and slid the digits coated with her slick juices past her lips. The creamy tangy flavor hit her tongue. She replayed in her head the first time Drake withdrew his fingers from her and sucked back the evidence of her desire. God, that was so hot. She could picture it clearly in her mind.
“Wipe your fingers over your lips.” She did as he asked. “Mmm,” she responded in pleasure wishing she could feel his touch right this very moment.
“Now, put your fingers over your clit. Are you doing as I ask, Meggie?”
In a small voice bordering on losing control, the moans coming from her throat were soft and sensual, Drake thought he was going to lose it. “Yes, Drake, everything you asked. I’m following your every word. But I really need to come, please,” she begged.
“Okay, now rub your clit, slowly at first, that’s it, Meggie, keep going, now make wider circles, faster, faster, Meggie, apply a little pressure, you’re almost there, I can hear it in your breathing.”
“I can’t wait to get inside you, feel how wet you are, and feel the heat inside you while you take every inch of me. You fit me like a glove, baby, and my dick is so hard for you right now. I want to fuck you so bad, over and over until you scream, Meggie. I want you to come all over my cock.”
His words were hot, vulgar, and they undid her. She wanted to please him, to allow him this control over her, to reward him with the effect he had on her.
“Meggie, are you still there?”
Completely seduced by his words, Meg’s entire body felt stimulated and ready to detonate. “Mmm, yes, I’m still here,” she panted out. The sounds spilling from her mouth were now quick and urgent, she was losing control.
“Imagine my mouth sucking on your swollen clit. Imagine it’s my fingers touching you there, stimulating you and soaking up all your juices with my mouth. I can’t get enough of your taste. I wish I could bite those smooth thighs of yours and suck away the pain. When I’m with you again, you’re going to scream, Meggie, I promise you that.” She could hear Drake panting desperately on the other end, each word emphasized by his hunger for her.
“I want to fuck that beautiful sultry mouth of yours, but just before I come, I’m going to shove inside of you so fast, you won’t know what hit you and then you’ll beg for me to fuck you harder until you come over and over again.”
“Ahh, Drake, I’m coming, oh God, I can’t stop.” Meg let it all go. She moaned over and over again shamelessly into the phone. She let him have it all. Every whimper and nuance of her desire was his. In return, she was rewarded with a harsh low grunt on the other end, telling her they both came at the same time. Her body jerked in the aftermath, and slowly, everything around her drowned out with the exception of his voice.
“God, Meggie, I want you so bad, baby. How am I going to get through the next three or four weeks without seeing you? I miss you. That was incredible. Do you think you can sleep now, baby?”
Barely getting the words out, she whispered, “Umm, yes, I don’t think I can stay awake much longer.”
He chuckled softly, “Good night, Meggie, think of me.”
“Hmm, I will. Good night, Drake.”
Chapter 8
The following morning, Meg arrived at work just before seven a.m. and was surprised to see that Frank was already there. She appeared in the doorway of his office after grabbing a quick coffee. Ugh, had to be Frank that made the coffee. No one else makes coffee this bad!
“Good morning, Frank. Do you have a minute or two?”
“Yes, Meg. Come on in. I was hoping to catch you right away.”
“So? What’s going on, how did it go yesterday with Mr. Noble?”
Frank looked at her with a smile. “Meg, I have good news. No, I take that back,” he said, “It’s great news,” he continued sounding quite satisfied. “I’m pleased to say that it’s a done deal, the sale was finalized yesterday, all documents have been signed off, and I am confident that everyone will be happy with the new owners. Noble seems to be on top of his game. He will do a lot with this place, and I’m happy to see it go into such good hands. After all these years of working my ass off, it’s finally paid off. Better than I expected, actually.” His hands moved through his hair in relief. “Having worked this hard for so long, well, now I can enjoy my retirement at a young age and finally spend the rest of my days with a wonderful woman.”
Frank seemed very pleased with himself. Pleased this deal would allow him a second chance at a relationship. He slowly got up from his chair and walked toward Meg. “As for you young lady, you have been offered a job to stay on by Noble. It seems he’s quite happy with the way you presented yourself and asked if I would talk to you about staying on in your current role. My understanding is, while he won’t be running the operation directly, he has a
few people of his own coming in as COO and CFO. He won’t be making any immediate changes with the rest of the staff, provided they continue to show the same commitment to him as they did toward me. I’m confident they’ll be just fine. I’ve scheduled a few meetings for today to communicate to the staff what’s going on, and I would like your presence in each of these meetings. I’ve also promised you a percentage in the sale along with two year’s salary, which I will take care of and have available for you within sixty days. So, what do you think Meg, will you be staying on?”
“Actually, I would like to stay on for another three months at least. After that, I’m not too sure. I know I’ve told you in the past I’ve always wanted to write, I think now might be a good time to explore that avenue.”
“That’s great, Meg. You should do it. You’re an excellent writer. It’s a shame to watch you edit other people’s work when you so obviously deserve to be credited for your own. This payout is an opportunity of a lifetime for you. You’re young, extremely talented, and now, you’ll have the money to support you through this endeavor. I’ve read some of the material you wrote over the years; not sure why you never wanted it to go to print, but I respected your wishes. You are a natural talent when it comes to piecing a story together, and I know you will be a huge success. Noble mentioned that if things go the way he anticipates, Griffin Publishing will be heading toward a global presence. This man has talent, he’s smart, and he’s young. Hell, he could make a guilty man look innocent with his tactics and finesse. He’s a smooth talker, he’s cocky, but you know what, Meg, he’s a reasonable businessman. With all the money he has, you’d think he’d be arrogant, but he’s honest and one hell of a charmer if I do say so myself.”
Hearing Frank talk about Drake in this way, made her miss him that much more. God, I miss him.
Swallowing the emptiness, she continued on. “So how much longer will you be staying on, Frank?”
“I’ll be gone after this Friday. You’ll be here. The company will be in good hands, and I taught you everything I know. I’ll be available by phone if you need me and by e-mail, which I will update you with before I leave. You’ll be working closely with the COO over the next ninety days, and if your intentions are to leave after that, I would imagine they’ll want your input on your new replacement. But, Meg, if you change your mind, your work is valued, and you will always have a job here. Noble assured me of that.”
“Thank you, Frank. I really do appreciate that, but I think I’ve made up my mind. I need to do this for me. I’ve dreamed of writing since I was a little girl. I have to give it a shot and see where it takes me. I can always fall back to editing if it doesn’t work out.”
“It’ll work out, you’re a natural, and you’re focused, you work hard,” he reminded her.

That afternoon, Frank held a series of meetings with the staff just as he had said he would. Meg supported his every word and assured everyone the expectation is that they would grow bigger and not smaller. The financial backing was about to become huge, and the company will now be in the position to afford the means necessary to grow. Most employees were somewhat shocked at the news. They were sad to see Frank go but happy for his early retirement and the life with Ana that he was looking forward to.
He held a very high opinion of Mr. Noble and shared his thoughts with everyone, assuring the employees their jobs were safe and stressed how important it was to Mr. Noble that everyone remain on board. He shared Drake’s vision of going global, talked about a few changes that will enhance sales, and everyone seemed to walk out of the meeting with high hopes.
Over the last few years of working closely with Frank, Meg could see how running this company had a profound effect on him. He was aging quickly from the stress and worn down by the high energy this type of industry required. She couldn’t help but be happy for him. She would definitely miss working for such a wonderful man, but she was thrilled that he had found someone to make him happy. Frank deserved happiness she thought to herself and smiled in satisfaction.

After a long day at the office, Meg realized her cell phone had died and she plugged it in right away to quickly check for messages. To her disappointment, there were no messages from Drake. Her heart sank and an achy feeling took presence in her chest. Her mom called, as well as Sarah, most likely wanting to know how her weekend went. Deciding to call Sarah first, she dialed her number.
“Hey, Sarah, what’s up?”
“Meg, is that you?”
Laughing in to the phone, “Yes, it’s me. Did you forget my voice already?”
“No, I’m just a little out of it. I just woke up,” she admitted as she yawned into the receiver.
“Do you have company? I can call back later,” Meg suggested.
“No, my threesome weekend is over, and I’m sore everywhere,” she said in an exhausted voice and a lazy but very satisfied groan followed.
“Sarah, are you sure you’re okay? Don’t get angry with me, but it really worries me that you’re involved with these guys. I thought it would be short lived, but you’re still seeing them?”
“Meg, please, I love spending time with them. They’re great guys, and I’ve known them both for almost a year, but we just kind of hooked up a few weeks ago after a few drinks. I do shoots with them on a regular basis. They would never hurt me, I trust them both completely.
“Okay, I get it. I’m sorry. If you are having a good time and you feel safe, that’s all that matters to me,” Meg assured her.
“I am safe with them, but enough about me. How was your weekend? Please tell me you spent it with someone I ran into this past Friday? I should be giving you shit, you know. I had no idea how gorgeous he is. You didn’t tell me he was that good looking! When I stormed into his office, I was actually taken aback. Holy shit, Meg. The man is absolutely stunning. I even had a hard time looking him straight in the eye. You know, I see and work with beautiful men all the time, but that man could stop a woman dead in her tracks. That dark curly hair and piercing blue eyes, oh and that jaw line, his body is to die for, so tall, and muscled.”
“Okay, Sarah, I’ve seen him. I know he’s gorgeous. I get it.” Meg couldn’t help but feel happy that Sarah was impressed by Drake’s good looks, and she laughed into the phone appreciatively.
“Look, all I’m saying is you better hang on to him.”
“You’re right. He’s amazing, and I miss him so much right now. It’s killing me. Sarah, I owe you big time for what you’ve done. I’m not sure how I can possibly repay you for this. I thought for sure it was over. Thank you so very much,” she said, meaning every word.
“I’m happy I could help fix what John Lake messed up. I also felt somewhat responsible for what happened. If it weren’t for my meddling in to your love life and trying to hook you up with John, none of this would have happened.”
“That’s not necessarily true, Sarah. He was already staying with you prior to my visit. Besides, you had no idea I was coming to New York. I showed up at the very last hour. Forget it. It’s all over. I’m just grateful it all worked out in the end.”
“So, tell me, how was your weekend?”
“It was the most amazing weekend of my life, and we spent the entire weekend together. I just wish we lived closer to one another. I feel so empty right now and so unsure of where things are headed with him.”
“Did he ask to see you again?”
“He promised he would keep in touch and that he wants to see me again, but I’m not so sure that he will.” He travels quite a bit, and sometimes he’s gone for weeks at a time. He’s so busy, and I don’t know where I fit in to all of that.”
“Meg, the guy went straight from his office and headed for you the minute I spoke with him. It seems to me that he’s pretty serious about you.”
“We’ll see. I really hope so. He bought the company yesterday.” Meg filled Sarah in quickly on the details of the sale. Then she decided to bring her up to speed on h
er future plans. Sarah was ecstatic that Meg was finally planning to follow her lifelong dream of writing. Like Drake, Sarah suggested that Meg move to NY so they could be closer. Meg admitted she was considering it and told her that Drake had the same conversation with her.
“Meg, are you serious? Drake asked you to move here, to NYC? What is there to think about? Clearly, he’s into you.”
“Hopefully, he’s into me. As for moving to NY, I’m not sure. I have to think about it a bit more. I’d like to hold off and see how things go with him first. I also have to look into a place to live and I’ll need to sell the condo.”
Sarah cut Meg off quickly. “You’re staying with me. You don’t need to get a place of your own. I would love to have you as a roommate. Besides, Meg, I’m rarely ever home. You would have this place to yourself half the time. Just think about it, we will be together and you and Drake will have an opportunity to see where things go. It’s perfect,” she decided.
Meg laughed at her chanting a million words a minute, not taking a breath in between sentences. Then finally Meg cut in. “I’m seriously considering it. I will let you know the minute I make up my mind. More than likely it will happen, but I really need to think this through.”
“Are you going home for Christmas, Meg?”
“No, why? Are you?”
“I am. I haven’t been home for two years, and I miss everyone. Why don’t you come? We can hang out together. It’ll be great.”
“I don’t think it’s a good time for me. I’ll be out of a job in mid-December and if I do move to NY, it’ll be a huge expense.”
“I’ll buy your ticket. Come on, Meg, please,” she begged.
“Sarah, I would never take money from you. It’s not just the expense, I’ll have a lot going on at that time. Maybe next year at Christmas I’ll go. We’ll see.” Meg was running out of excuses as to the reasons for her not returning to the town she grew up in. Soon people would start asking questions that she was not prepared to answer. It seemed to be a hot topic lately.
