  It concentrated and felt for the mark, sending a stream of newfound energy to empower it. The boy was not far. If he was still in the Koon Kagi, he would not escape. Their chi pool was substantial and would allow lo-shur to roam for many miles to capture him. Nothing could save him from their grip in their safe and impenetrable land. The lo-shur were too powerful. The lo-shur were too strong.

  A red blade suddenly protruded from the center of its chest. The demon screamed. The other kaigun-shur turned in shock and horror, staring at the blackened eyes of Wong and his wicked grin. And for the first time in their existence—they were afraid.
