“Here I am your winnings.” She said. Her eyes flamed with a heat that turned Billy on for some reason.
Again he was paralyzed with a fear he couldn’t explain. What the hell have I got myself into? he thought. Damn maybe I should have let him keep her, was his second thought.”
“Well let’s go home.” He finally said, and stood up to take her arm in his.
She pulled her arm back quickly, “Don’t you ever touch me.” She said to him. Her eyes were glaring at him so strongly, he had to look down.
But it was only for a second and he said. “Listen here, I don’t know who you think you are, but you aren’t that person anymore. I am your owner, you belong to me, and you will do what I say and when I say it.” He said, his face flaming red.
He watched as she backed down meekly. She went with him willingly. She could see the unadulterated anger that had flashed on his face. She wouldn’t ever choose to be on his wrong side. Robin knew at that second that this man would have killed her father without hesitation. Now she could understand the fear she had seen in her father’s face. She had thought he was being a coward, but even Robin knew when to back down.
She had no doubt that this man had killed some people in his past. Adding another person to that list would be nothing to Billy. She knew this without a doubt after seeing that anger in his face before.
She might be young but she had heard tales from her friends. There were other younger girls in their town, and one of them had gotten married just a few months before. Everyone, in town had been so happy for that girl. Robin had been so happy for her friend.
But shortly after the girl and her man were married Robin had seen her out one day. The girl had seemed to be ignoring Robin’s calls. So she had questioned her about this. “Hey why don’t you ever come when I’ve sent for you?” Robin had asked.
Her friend had looked at her and shook her head. Robin had seen the tears glistening in her friends eyes. “What’s wrong?” She had asked her friend. Robin could tell something was wrong as they had been close for years. She could just feel the pain coming from her eyes.
Robin really believed the eyes were the souls of a person. What you saw in a person’s eyes was what they were like. What they were thinking. So this was why when she saw that look in Billy’s eyes she knew it was time to stop.
Maybe in their home, she thought. Then she wondered what would he do to her behind closed doors? If he had the look like he was going to kill me in the saloon, what about now?
He dragged her out of the saloon. He stopped after they were far enough away from the saloon. “Look, what your father did was wrong. I don’t agree with him. But really, how good are you being with a father who does that? If I didn’t go through with this, what kind of man would he lose you to next time? I know you won’t understand this, and won’t get it right now. I can tell by looking at you that you are more than angry. You might even have some hate coming into this equation. I, on the other hand feel this is the best way to help you.” Billy stated.
He saw her eyes as they tried to understand what he had just said to her. He started walking again towards his home. He hadn’t expected the words to come from him. But they had been honest. He felt a need to protect her. What better way to do this then take her home? The fact that she was good looking weren’t helping his resolve though. Billy really wanted to respect her, to not take her body, not until she was ready to marry him.
However, there was his body that was crying out to take this lovely creature that was now his fair and square. “All I have to say is that you are lucky my father was a good man and he taught me right.” Billy muttered as they walked along.
He looked over at her again though and knew that he might be in trouble here. This instant attraction to her was somewhat understandable. He had to admit she was a very beautiful woman. So he knew why his body was reacting the way it was. But what he didn’t get was why so much more was happening in his mind.
As he looked at her he couldn’t find a thing he didn’t like about her. He liked the way she looked, the way that she came into the bar so on fire and alive. She was mad, furious even. Billy knew that this excited him more than the rest of the package. He could only imagine what was behind the face. He was sure she was intelligent and he really liked that in a woman.
He thought she might be a challenge to him. Billy really wished she could see what kind of man he would be like to her. He wanted to tell her that he would protect him with his very life. Just as quickly though he wondered why he felt this way, she wasn’t his sister.
But Billy had to admit there was some instant attraction to her that was so much more than physical in nature. As long as his mind would win this argument each and every time he had it, she would be safe. However, if she gave him any hint of interest, he would be all over her.
Billy felt like he was a young boy going through puberty again. Those had been rough years for him. His father had tried to raise him to respect females.
Chapter 4
Robin had heard him the first time he said something about her father and how bad of a person he was. But most of the words he said had a hard time getting through to her. She was so angry, so sad and so filled with hatred at that point. The words he said were cloudy and didn’t hear like anything she had ever heard before.
But she did hear the part about being happy that his father had raised a man who respected women. She tried to focus more on the man in front of her. He was a few inches taller than her, and his body seemed quite solid. His grip was strong on her hand. A few times she had flinched at a bit of pain. He would make his grip a little lighter and ask her if she was okay.
She began to wonder if what she had seen in his eyes hadn’t been directed at her. He seemed far too kind and caring. How could this man even be a killer? She wondered. But she knew what she had seen in the bar that had been hatred she had seen in his eyes. He looked like he could kill at that moment.
Who else would he want to kill besides her? She wondered now.
“Here we are.” Billy stopped and opened a door to a house.
She hadn’t even realized they had gone as far as they had. She looked down the hill and saw the town lights flickering. They were knew and interesting inventions.
She walked into her new home. It was a room that wasn’t very big at all. “Where am I supposed to sleep?” She asked. As she looked around she only saw the one bed and a dresser.
“You can have the bed; I’ll sleep on the floor.” Billy stated.
Robin looked at him. He had brown hair, and his blue eyes seemed so open to her. She wasn’t sure why she felt less angry at him. But there was something about his eyes.
“I’m sorry I was so mad when I came into the saloon.” Robin apologized quietly.
“I understand why you were angry. Just please realize that I wasn’t the one who asked him to place that bet. I tried to talk him out of it.” Billy said. It wasn’t completely true; he had just asked him if he was sure of the bet. But Billy felt okay about saying it that way.
She studied him closer. “Why are you being so nice to me?” She finally asked him.
“I was raised right. I was taught that females should be protected. Your father didn’t do a good job of it, but I promise I will.” Billy stated. “Get some sleep we’ll talk more in the morning.” He said and lay on the floor.
Robin laid on the bed her eyes just looking out into space. Billy confused her, he seemed so nice. But she didn’t want to have these feelings for him. The one’s that had her thinking that maybe her father had done her a favor.
It was those types of things that would have her soon being one of those girls who were fooled by a man. She still remembered those bruises her friends had shown her not so many months ago.
“What happened to you?” She had questioned her friend. The girl had lifted up the sleeve of her arm. It had been dark purple and green with bruises. She had touched the arm and her friend had jumped in pain.
“He hi
ts me, he is so mean, and I hate him. I just want to die.” Her friend had cried out.
“Leave him then.” Robin had pleaded.
“I can’t, he’ll kill me if I try.” Her friend had stated.
Robin often wondered if her friend would live much longer if she stayed where she was. It made her sad thinking about that, but how could Billy be like that? He’s far to kind to be like her friend’s husband.
But then Robin remembered when she had met her friend’s fiancé. He had seemed nice enough, nothing stood out about how much of an asshole he would turn into. This is what worried her about Billy; she didn’t want to be hit.
At least that was one thing she hadn’t experienced in her life. Sure her father was a drunk, and he loved to gamble. But he had never raised a fist in anger at Robin. It didn’t matter what she had done either. Her father had never once hit her.
Robin realized that she would be able to forgive her father one day. There was just that feeling coming from her insides. Then she realized that she was wondering if Billy loved her. She hadn’t wanted to even think the word yet, let alone wonder what she had. But now that it was out of the bag, why not?
She looked over at him on the ground, he looked cold down there. He had only taken one small blanket; it didn’t even cover him well.
“Would it be so wrong to have him sleep beside me?” She asked herself. He might get the wrong idea though if you ask him, she thought quickly. But what if he loves me? She almost said it aloud.
It wasn’t fair that she felt these glimmers of love for man just because she hoped he cared about her. Maybe it was because her father had just made her feel like she didn’t matter to him. So what if Billy cared? What would be so wrong about that?
Obviously he cares, why would he be on the floor? She started to count the ways that he had shown he already cared about her. More than she could think of from her father through the years.
Robin reached down and tapped Billy’s shoulder. “Are you sleeping already?” She asked.
“No not yet.” Billy answered.
“You can sleep up here if you want. This is your place after all, not mine.” Robin said.
“This is your place now too. Unless you want to go back that is? I mean he could lose you to someone different next week? Maybe that person won’t be so nice and let you sleep on the bed while they are on the floor. They could be a man who takes you by force. Do you want to go back there?” Billy asked. He watched her flinch as if he had hit her. “Look I’m sorry, it isn’t you I’m mad at; please don’t take it that way. I’m just so mad at your father for doing this I want to kill him.” Billy said.
Robin nervously laughed. “I had thought about doing that to him as well.” She admitted honestly.
Billy laughed at her reply. “Another thing about you I like.”
She looked at him a question in her eyes. But she didn’t say it. She moved over so he could fit on the bed.
Billy got up and got on the bed. “I’m going to be honest with you, I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep my hands off of you.” He said.
Robin looked in his eyes and she saw an all new look, this one of a promise. She felt as if her breath was taken away for a moment. Robin felt her body have some of the most erotic thoughts she ever experienced in her life. It shocked her and she sat up quickly.
“What’s wrong?” He jumped up to check on her.
“I’m fine, never mind.” Robin said.
“Do you want me to get back on the floor?” He asked before getting back on the bed.
“Please lay down.” She said motioning to the mattress. She closed her eyes and hoped the thoughts would come back to her. She had enjoyed the way they made her feel.
Somehow she got to sleep for a little while at least. She had woken up in the middle of the night and his arm had been over her body. She thrilled at the feel of his touch on her. Would it be so wrong she wondered.
Robin moved closer back to him. She felt him wake up in more than one way. As his member pushed into her back she moaned. She pushed back against him again and rubbed her body against the hardness.
“Are you sure you want this?” He whispered in her ear as he kissed it.
She shook her head yes. Billy didn’t need another word he rolled her over to him and kissed her deeply. “I will protect you with my dying breath, just be sure of that.” He said and covered her mouth again.
Her mind was in pleasure overload right now. She felt her underwear being pulled down by his hands. She jumped from the sensation of his hands gliding over her upper thighs
Robin muttered in pleasure. She felt him push into her. He was slow and gentle with his strokes, not going to0 quick. Finally she could stand it no more and she began thrusting back on him. Her body was screaming out for release. She screamed out as her orgasm moved through her body. He could hold out no longer and released his load inside of her.
Billy pulled her close to him after he was spent and nuzzled his lips to her neck. “Good night my love now let me get some sleep please.” He whispered to her.
She didn’t know what to say, he had muttered those words to her. Well that one word that meant so much to her right now. Perhaps if this whole thing would have happened differently it wouldn’t matter to her so much. But she felt a need to have a man in her life who loved her.
Chapter 5
Billy kissed her neck and fell asleep quickly. Her body had been so soft so welcoming, he had barely been able to hold back his pleasure. But he had really wanted to make sure she would enjoy sex too. He wanted to make sure she had at least one orgasm.
Another day, maybe tomorrow, after he slept, he would take more time. He would love her all afternoon if he had a choice. Their love making had been amazing. It had felt like nothing he had ever experienced before.
Of course he knew she was a virgin, but he didn’t know if that was why he felt so different. No he couldn’t hide behind any type of illusion now. He was in love with her. He hoped she realized it; hope she could feel it coming through his touch and his words.
He felt her move in his arms, opening his eyes he quickly remembered the night before. He smiled at her and pulled her back against him again. Rolling her over, he kissed her and looked at her.
“Today is your day my love.” His eyes were full of promise.
Billy watched her take a quick breath and she turned red. He smiled at her. “Oh don’t worry honey, you’ll love this day!”
He moved his head lower on her body and showed her just how he could use his tongue on her nether regions. Robin was soon screaming in ecstasy.
He moved up and pushed into her. He was still gentle and didn’t move too quickly. Billy loved when she had started to push back into him last night. Now that he was on top of her, he wanted to see what she would do. He loved to see the looks of pleasure that crossed her face.
Soon she was pushing her hips up and meeting him. Billy pushed into her quicker and she picked up the pace. They moved together like they had loved for years. It was natural and so was the rising feeling he was getting in his body.
He pushed into and found his release. His mind was foggy with the pleasure of his orgasm.
Billy recalled the look on her face as she climaxed. He loved that look; he wanted to see it for years. I should tell her for sure. He pulled her into his arms as he lay on the side of the bed.
“Robin, I’m not kidding I will protect you with my life forever. Do you know why that is?” Billy asked her, looking into her eyes for a sign.
Robin shrugged her shoulders. “I’m not really sure. I mean I don’t want to say it.” She finally admitted.
“I know the feeling; it is hard to say to someone. To me it means something special. When I say I love you, it means you are mine forever. It means that last night was the best night of my life so far. I can’t believe I was blessed in this way. Robin Swail I would be so honored if you would choose to be my wife.” Billy said.
Robin smiled she wasn’t sure what
to say. He saw the shock of recognition cross her face, and then something that looked like distrust. “I don’t know how can you love me?” She asked. “I mean my own father didn’t even love me enough to not use me as a way to play a game? A game he’s let ruin our lives, all of ours. But my mother keeps him around, and even after this I’m sure she won’t leave him. How can they both be like that?” She said.
“I know it isn’t easy to grasp for you right now. I don’t know why your parents are like that. I can’t answer your questions for you about them. For me though I can answer. Really it is everything about you from the start. The way you look, you are beautiful. But I’ll be honest with you when you came into that saloon all feisty and angry. Well I immediately knew I wanted you. Not only did you impress, but I’ll be honest you frightened me a bit, at least for a minute or two.” Billy laughed.
“I scared you, how did I scare you?” Robin asked.
“You looked hard to handle at that point. But I knew that this was something that excited me in more than one ways. There was something about you behind your eyes as well. It showed intelligence and so much more that I wanted to learn about.” Billy commented.
She smiled at him. “You really do love me?” She asked.
He could see the confused look on her face. “Yes I really do love you.” He said again.
Robin leaned in and kissed him. She moved her tongue inside of his mouth and deepened the kiss. Billy pulled her on top of him and showed her a new position of how to make love.
Chapter 6
Robin was so thrilled to hear those words from him. It made her feel like there was a chance of having a good life. She hoped that he wouldn’t ignore her, not like her father had done most of her life. He had always been too into a bottle of whiskey when home.
She had clamored for his attention for so many years that she had lost hope. Her heart had broken though when he came home and said he had lost her in the card game. At least her mother had loved her. Now she was leaving the only person she knew loved her in the world, to go to an unknown man.
