Nico’s nostrils flared. He clenched his teeth together, his body stiffening as he watched the erotic scene unfold at his waist. Mikhail on his knees, guiding his dick into his warm, moist mouth. Inch by inch, he took Nico in, rubbing his tongue along his hardness, sucking a bit then releasing the pressure.

The man was incredible. The way he moved his mouth, worked his tongue, stirred his nerves into a sizzling web of need. Mikhail knew exactly what to do to bring the fire to life in his balls and make his cock swell until he feared he would split down the seam. He took him down his throat, the intense pressure of his muscles squeezing around his dick knocking the breath from his lungs.

  “Mikhail. Sweet spirits.”

Damn if his wolf didn’t just growl along each word.

Damn if Mikhail didn’t wiggle out of his shorts, not missing a beat with that mouth, and start pumping his large cock.

The sight was beyond sexy, his little mate getting off while sucking his dick.

Nico tugged on Mikhail’s hair as the fire licked up along his sac, threatening to make him blow down his mate’s throat. Mikhail sucked harder, holding to his dick as Nico eased him off, trembling under the mind-numbing ache of pleasure those last few moments induced.

“I’m not coming in your mouth. Not now.”

Mikhail’s tongue flicked out, stealing one last lick at his tip. His hand slowed the pumping action along his dick. “I want to drink you up.”

“Not. Now.” Nico reached down, grabbed Mikhail beneath his arms, and hoisted him off his knees. His shorts dropped from his ankles in the moment Nico had his feet off the floor. Nico stepped out of his pants, took both of their cocks in one fist, and began rubbing along the paired shafts. Mikhail’s pupils widened. He thrust his dick against Nico’s hand. “They’re so perfect together.”

  “We’re perfect together.”

“Take your shirt off, little mate.”

Mikhail tore the shirt off without hesitation. His hands dropped to Nico’s waist and he rolled his hips, shoving his dick against Nico’s until his eyes threatened to cross.

“Mine.” Nico tightened his fist, stopping Mikhail’s thrusts, and met his gaze. “Lay down, love. I’ll be right there.”

Mikhail’s eyes widened. “Come with me.”

“I have no intention of walking away.” Nico released their cocks and swatted Mikhail’s ass. His mate jumped. “Go.”

If there was one thing Nico adored about his mate, it was his shameless abandon and submission. From the beginning, it was one of the things he feared Mikhail would never give him.

  That, and trust.

Trust to care for him. Trust to provide for him. Trust to claim him.

Nico found what he was looking for tucked away in a drawer in the kitchenette. He wasn’t a fan of blades, didn’t care to wield them, and found them more of a nuisance than a weapon.

This one, a small athame with a six-inch stainless steel blade and jeweled hilt of marble, he would cherish from this morning on.

Mikhail looked up from the coin in his hand when Nico stepped into the partitioned room he’d turned into his bedroom. His eyes turned toward the athame.

  “Are you absolutely certain, Mikhail?”

Mikhail’s gaze stayed on the blade when he nodded. “Yes.”

Nico sat down on the edge of the bed and held out his hand. Mikhail peeled his gaze away from the blade, placing his hand in Nico’s.

“Look at me, Mikhail.” When Mikhail’s beautiful, love-swept eyes lifted to him, Nico saw the certainty of his decision. He turned Mikhail’s hand over, palm facing up, and lowered the tip of the blade to the flesh of his palm. “I love you, too, Mikhail. I have since I saw you on the patio, trying to be part of the Creek instead of a fixture on the outskirts.”

“Really?” Apprehension strained his voice. His arm tensed.

“Relax, love.” Nico stroked a line over and over along Mikhail’s palm, trying to release some of his tension through the gentle touch. He leaned over and placed a kiss at the corner of Mikhail’s mouth. He rested another kiss against his jaw. Kissed a slow, airy line up to his ear while continuing to stroke his hand. Mikhail settled, his muscles finally resting. “Yes, my little hunter. That afternoon I knew I was lost to you.”

Nico drew the blade across Mikhail’s palm in one swift motion. Mikhail hissed, yanking at his hand, but Nico held firmly.

“The pain will go away in a moment. The coin.”

Mikhail swallowed, a sound strained yet audible. He placed the coin over the center of the cut, spreading the welling blood. Nico graced the grimace on his mate’s mouth with a kiss. He released Mikhail’s hand, positioned the bloodstained tip of the athame against his own hand, and cut. Blood immediately swelled and he turned his hand over, clasping his fingers around his mate’s hand.

Mikhail grasped tight to him. “Do we…say something?”

  “No.”

“How do we know something is working?”

Nico grinned. “The coin is engraved with an ancient binding spell for humans with paranormal mates. Trust me, love. You’ll know as soon as our blood mixes…”

Nico didn’t have a chance to finish before he recognized the faint luminescent glow of a new link weaving together between them. The slow widening of Mikhail’s eyes assured him his mate experienced the same amazing connection strengthening their bond and their minds.

  “Oh my god.”

Mikhail’s fingers tightened. Nico reached back and rested the athame on the nightstand. The mattress shifted and he was met by Mikhail climbing onto his lap, followed by the hot, demanding probe of his tongue taking possession of his mouth. He fumbled against the burning desire to finish the bond, to seal the connection pulsing with life in his mind, his heart, and spirit, trying to find the lube he’d gotten in the habit of leaving accessible. His wolf bayed and pawed against his control, shredding away another chunk of sanity with each second.

He groaned, his fingertips hitting the bottle and knocking it away.

Mikhail’s wet cock slid up and down his stomach with each taunting thrust, the crease of his ass running over Nico’s erection. He needed that, needed to be inside his mate, losing himself to Mikhail’s excitement and pleasure, his cries and screams. He grunted, lifting them off the bed to reach the lube. Mikhail scrambled to get his legs around Nico’s waist. Nico stilled him.

“No.” He turned, unlatching Mikhail’s legs. He dropped Mikhail onto his back, their hands sealed together in an iron grip. He leaned over his mate, breathing hard, heart pounding. Barely touching, his mate still writhed against the blankets. “Hands and knees, love.”

Mikhail’s eyes flashed. His cock jumped and new pre-cum dribbled down his shaft.

Nico bent down and licked it up with a delighted moan. The earthy flavor soaked over his tongue, earning him another shred into his sanity. His gums throbbed, his teeth reforming, tapering.

  “Our hands?”

  “Don’t let go.”

Mikhail twisted until he was on his knees and one hand. Nico popped open the bottle top and poured lube along the valley of Mikhail’s ass, his lips peeling back from the musical croons fleeing the man’s mouth. He lubed his cock and lined up his tip with Mikhail’s rosy little anus. He teased the ring of muscles with his thumb, massaging lube along the clenched entrance, gently pressing the tip of his thumb against that sweet wall.

  “Take me already.”

“Careful what you wish for, baby.”

’Cause right now, Nico had no desire to be tender.

He slid their bound hands against Mikhail’s chest, holding tight to his mate, and pushed his dick through the resisting sphincter. He closed his eyes and sucked in a sharp breath, holding steady as Mikhail adjusted to his invasion. Oh hell. His body quivered with the need to thrust forward until he could sink no more.

He waited a second. Another second.

  “Move, damn it!”

Nico complied without a word, plunging balls-deep in one slick motion
.

Mikhail cried out, his body arching toward the mattress. The wolf released a raw, primitive sound, the tightness around his cock leaving little room for thought. His fingers ached where Mikhail squeezed.

“Dear god, Nico. I love when you do that.”

Nico began to move, falling under the dire hunger to feel. He bent over Mikhail’s back and nuzzled his neck, fucking his ass in a desperate tempo that his lovely little mate met. Each plunge forward, Mikhail sat back, their bodies smacking together, grunts fleeing their chests, and the erotic sound of balls slapping skin echoing between them.

Staving off the desire to bite, he drew his teeth along Mikhail’s spine, growling when the man’s arm buckled. Nico tightened his arm around him and pulled him up, seating him on his lap. He pistoned his hips, kissing and nipping Mikhail’s back, his shoulders, the nape of his neck. The burn in his balls threatened to flare up, to consume him before he was ready. The scent of Mikhail’s arousal, the shameless whimpers and moans with each thrust that rubbed over his prostate, damn near unraveled him.

Reaching around Mikhail, he fisted the man’s hard, hot cock and began pumping in time with his feverous rhythm.

Mikhail bucked and jerked, his free hand latching on to Nico’s wrist and squeezing. “Nonono. I can’t…I can’t handle it…too much.”

  “Handle it, baby.”

  “Yes.” A hiss. “Fuck yes!”

Nico lifted his mouth to that sweet, pulsing juncture of Mikhail’s neck and shoulders. He waited until he recognized the onset of Mikhail’s orgasm in the swelling of his dick and the tension in his stomach. He waited until he could wait no more.

Nico sank his teeth into Mikhail’s firm flesh.

The man shouted, twisted as pain shot through him. A pain that echoed through Nico’s neck. The link burst with light, a sun’s beam along a taut golden rope. The sweet, coppery flavor of Mikhail’s blood coursed over his tongue, down his throat, and exploded through every inch of his body. His spirit ripped open, finding Mikhail’s soul.

The pain melted into fierce, merciless pleasure as their spirit and soul sealed together, binding them as one. Mikhail bounced hard and fast against Nico’s lap until he screamed.

  “Nico! Ohhh…Nico.”

The man thrashed in his hold, his dick throbbing in Nico’s hand. The potent scent of his cum filled Nico’s nostrils, intoxicated his mind.

The intensity of Mikhail’s orgasm caught him by surprise. He felt every single contraction, every single pulse. The fire, the shatter, the endless madness that consumed him…

Nico threw back his head and roared as the power of his own climax exploded, tearing him apart. He ground his hips against Mikhail’s ass, pouring each hard jet of jizz into the deepest pit of his mate’s body. He rode the blinding waves, blood thundering against his eardrums. He could barely breathe, saturated in sensation that left him nothing more than a sizzling ball of electric energy.

Somewhere in the sparks of white and blue, the weight of his darling love settled into him, head tilted back on his shoulder. Nico basked in the last moments of his orgasm, the final spill of cum leaving his cock as he began to soften.

Mikhail panted, his skin slick with sweat and sticky with jizz. Nico dropped his forehead to Mikhail’s shoulder, swimming in a weightless pool of euphoria. He let his hand fall away from his love’s softening cock, stroking his thigh. The crisp hairs along his skin tickled Nico’s palm.

“Baby, that was…intense.” Nico turned his face up and licked at the oozing bite mark. He didn’t have healing saliva like vampires, but his bite would heal faster than normal. After all, their blood was mixed, their beings bound. They were one and the same. “Was it as painful as you thought?”

“You’re speaking…in my…head,” Mikhail murmured through heavy breaths.

“We’ve bonded. Telepathy is a gift to mates who bond. It’s how I’ll protect you when you go to Jude.”

  “Don’t fucking mention him.”

Nico couldn’t help but grin at Mikhail’s weak demand. Sex had a way of forgetting to pack the punch, but he heard his mate in his ears as well as his head.

“Talk to me like this, Mikhail. All you have to do is form the words in your mind while holding to the link.”

“It’s intimate.” Mikhail’s breath stopped. “I did it?”

  “Yes.”

“You were right, Nico. It hurt, the bite, but the minute the pain stopped and the pleasure took over…there is nothing to compare to that pleasure. It’s worth those few seconds of pain.”

“Good. I’m all about biting, baby.”

Nico adjusted his hold on Mikhail, releasing their hands that held the coin. Slowly, he lowered them to the mattress, curling his body around Mikhail’s without leaving his mate’s body. He wanted to stay seated in his heat until he hardened again.

“And that was only the first time tonight.”

Mikhail smiled, twisting to look back at Nico. “Wolf, you have exclusive rights to me from now on. Make good on your promises.”

Nico chuckled, craning his neck to steal a kiss. He nibbled Mikhail’s lower lip. “You have nothing to worry about, love. Let’s see how badass your stamina can be.”

  Chapter Twenty

Mik floated through the following morning, despite the aches across every inch of his body. He felt…incredible. Reborn.

  Whole.

Nico certainly made good on his promise. His wolf claimed him three more times before Mik collapsed, satiated, sore, and exhausted.

He estimated five hours passed since their last throw in bed, and his body still hummed like an electric wire without a shutoff mechanism. He could barely eat breakfast, recalling every minute under Nico’s control, his body embracing him, the man’s large dick filling him, stretching him, playing nerves on top of nerves until he understood nothing but the sheer, raw essence of being. All that existed were the fierce, primitive sounds that escaped them and the tremendous explosion of pleasure.

  Oh, and the telepathy.

In a million years, Mik would never have thought telepathy could be so sensual and erotic. Speaking to Nico through thought, listening to his mate’s deep, husky voice fill his head and ooze heat and arousal into his soul was beyond imagining.

Bonding proved a sheer miracle. Everything that came with it—sensing Nico’s mood, his thoughts, the aches he suffered from his virile claiming, to mention a few—Mik would never give up. He couldn’t.

He loved Nico, wolf and all.

So, when Storme showed up at their door with instructions to bring them to Cael’s office, Mik opened his mouth to refuse.

  You agreed to this.

Nico rested a hand on his lower back. “You don’t have to go through with this.”

Mik blinked up at him. “I said that to you, huh?”

  Nico grinned. “Yep.”

He’d be working on the telepathy thing.

“No. I want to get this done. The sooner the better, like Cael said yesterday.” Mik nodded to Storme. “Let’s get moving on this.”

The entire walk to the infirmary, Nico’s displeasure with the plan resonated in his mind. He did his best to ignore it, knowing deep down this was the only way to possibly escape the contract that would cost him his life and keep Jude off his back and away from the Creek.

His nerves were on edge by the time he stepped into Cael’s personal office. Not only was Cael present, but Raul and Victor, and another guy Mik didn’t know.

Mik’s attention held fast to the stranger with his smaller stature, moss green eyes, and serene expression over a pretty face. His skin was colored by the sun, discounting the possibility of being a vampire. His hair was longer and bronze, pulled away from his face.

He really was pretty, but no one could hold a light to his Nico.

“Mikhail, this is Aeson Greene. He is one of the witches who reside at the Creek,” Cael introduced. The man bowed his head. Mik followed his lead, not wanting to offend the guy by disregarding his witchy
customs. “I have been discussing a plan with Raul and Victor, and I believe we came to a conclusion.”

“You brought a witch in. I’m not sure I like the direction of this plan,” Nico said. His body moved flush to Mik’s back, his hand resting on Mik’s shoulder. “This is going to be more involved than a simple amnesia spell.”

“Yes,” Cael said without hesitation. “The amnesia spell will work to explain why Mikhail was lost for over a week. The tracker was removed and destroyed, and will come into question. You will remember a vague connection with a paranormal community, but the details will be elusive. We can’t hide that you were here. Jude is too perceptive and may suspect you hide something by lying.”

“I’ll have amnesia. I’m not supposed to know what the hell is going on. If I lie, it could easily be due to my condition.”

“We’re not making this any more complicated than it is.” Cael held a hand out to Aeson. The witch dropped two small glass vials, no larger than a perfume sample tube, into Cael’s hand. “And it will be complicated.”

  “What are those?” Nico asked.

Cael held up the two vials. One was dark in color, the other light with a hint of red.

“You’ve bonded, I presume?” Cael asked.

“Yes,” Mik and Nico said in unison. The corner of Mik’s mouth pulled up in a short-lived grin.

“We needed to come up with a way to void the contract. This is what we devised.” Cael flicked the dark vial. “Nico will be in contact with you through your bond. The mind-speak abilities you now share will allow him to keep you grounded in reality so the spell doesn’t consume you. This is how we’ll free you of Jude.”

  “I don’t understand.”

  “Fight death with death.”

The eerie hush that filled the room sent a shiver of warning up Mik’s spine. Or maybe that shiver accompanied the ice that Nico’s apparent opinion of the plan induced.
