Sweetest Obsessions - Anthology Page 99

by Anthony, Jane

When they were both exhausted from storytelling, they cuddled up to me sleep. “Lavin, I think one of us will get a happy ending. I know Zach doesn’t notice me, but when you aren’t watching, I’ve seen Heath’s eyes on you, watching you.”

  “He has?”

“Oh yeah. He tries to play it off, but you have him caught on a fishing line; we just need to see how to reel him in.”

“I don’t see it. He seems like he wants to be with every other girl…but me.”

“I think that’s a smoke screen for him. He is a really cool guy, and maybe he’s afraid of feeling something for someone. Maybe real feelings scare him, so he just has sex with no attachments. I think you are what he needs.”

Lavin looked up at the ceiling, her eyes weighing heavy in the darkness. “I wish any part of what you just said would come true. I don’t know why I’m attracted to him, but I am. I really am.”

“Girl, you are not just attracted to him. Say it: you want him.”

Lavin blew out a frustrated breath. Tyra was dead on. Just before her eyes closed, her lips parted as she faced Tyra’s pillow. “I do want him. Too often, I dream about how it would be to lie next to him in his bed. I wonder if I would explode from his touch as he began taking my clothes off.”

Tyra didn’t respond, and her slight moan gave Lavin confirmation she’d put her friend to sleep. It was probably best that she got some too; tomorrow was another busy day. ’Tis the season of packed tables and generous tips.

“Good night, Tyra. I know you won’t hear this, but I love you, my friend. I do know that I could fall in love with Heath Harrison for sure.” With that pleasant thought, she tucked up closer to Tyra and drifted off.

Tyra had not drifted quite yet; she laid there letting Lavin share her thoughts. She already knew much of what she shared. Tyra wished she could lie there and say she loved someone, but it wasn’t happening for her. She too was glad she and Lavin had become close and that Arden’s had brought them together. She hoped she could see a better way for Lavin to reap the benefits of the better shifts and tables than by having sex with David. Lavin was better than that.

Hell, David had to see her feelings weren’t for him at all. Maybe he did see that and just used her to have sex. Tyra thought David was a game player, and although Heath was definitely a player, she had seen a side of him that she wished he would share with Lavin. Before she gave in to sleep, she closed her hand over Lavin’s reassuringly. “Girlfriend, it’s going to be all right for you. I’m in your corner and hope Heath decides to join too.”

Tyra thought she’d said her words silently until she heard Lavin groan loudly. “I want Heath to come join me soon.”

Before finally drifting off, Tyra traced the outline of the beautiful floral tattoo inked on most of Lavin’s upper thigh. The artwork was perfection. Lavin felt the fingertip drawing on her skin. “That feels good. I guess you and I are still not ready to give in to sleep tonight.”

“Lavin, we’ll probably have to soon because tomorrow is another busy night.”

“You’re right! Good night, Tyra. Thank you for being here.”

Lavin finally fell asleep. Tyra tried to do the same but kept remembering when she first met kind, innocent Lavin. When she’d found out she had a tattoo, it had surprised her. It showed her another side of the sweet dancer girl. “You have a tattoo? It’s huge! I didn’t take you for the tattoo type. Not that there is a type, but I just didn’t think you would have one.”

“I got it to rebel against my family who hated them. I decided that I would always carry my own personal permanent flower bouquet with me. Each time I did something on my own, I knew I had these flowers hidden high on my hip and thigh. A permanent marking and a realization of surviving on my own is what I pride myself on. Often, I would rub that area to gain personal strength that no one else gave to me.”

“It’s beautiful, just like you are, my friend. One day, a guy will find your secret floral garden and shower it with his love.”

“You should get a tattoo. I’ll go with you.”

Tyra flinched, no needles for her. She watched her ill brother Nathan endure them for too long. “I’ll pass, not a fan of being poked with a needle.”

“What? You’re a strong, confident girl; what’s a little pinch of a needle…a thousand times?”

“Nope, still not going to happen, and I wouldn’t know what to choose to permanently wear.”

“Maybe one day. We could get sister tattoos. Like maybe toasting flutes to us.”

“Maybe.” Tyra knew that would never happen, but their bonding was certainly intense. She would do anything for Lavin, knowing Lavin would do the same.

Initially, when she met Lavin, Tyra had felt sad for her when her face tightened, and she looked lost as she spoke of her parents. She’d shared she had no siblings, and she’d let her parents down in their eyes and hearts. The extreme opposite was Tyra’s family, which was overly close.

She had a sister, Tegan. Their younger brother, Nathan, had had renal carcinoma and didn’t survive childhood. She and Tegan became tighter after their loss. Now though with Tyra at the dorms for the entire summer, the sisters only got together a few times. Tegan had chosen a career in the news field. Currently, she was doing the local weather forecast on the nightly news. Most every day was the same weather, but she tweaked it to mix it up and make it a bit different. Tegan was in a great relationship with an intern writer at Cape’s local newspaper. He was featured writing favorable news about places in the Cape and surrounding areas. Initially, he was assigned to the dining section of the paper. Once he had made his mark in reviewing the many restaurants, he’d progressed from there. One of his finest reviews was of none other than Arden’s Restaurant and how the locals and tourists kept returning there year after year. Not having her sister with her as much since they were both busy, and Tegan even more so with a boyfriend, Tyra was glad that Lavin gave her that warm familiar comfort and love like family did.

Tyra had one last thought before darkness took her mind. “Maybe one day I will get a tattoo. It would be designed of all my loved ones: Tegan, Lavin, and whatever man wins my heart.” A smile was on her lips as she gave in to sleep, and she repeated, “My heart” several times throughout her dream state.

  Present Summer Season

  Crushing Hard for Heath

Maneuvering to work most of the shifts that Heath was scheduled for was an effort. It had paid off well, and Lavin enjoyed the moments of speaking with him. In the beginning, she was nervous when they spoke and she would find herself re-polishing the same piece of silverware she just finished. More and more, she and Heath were conversing. She’d realized he was noticing her and opening up. “Lavin, what do you have coming up this Fall at school?”

She loved the moments they talked and hearing his sexy voice, which continued to split her apart. She learned though, after all this time, how to quickly gain her composure and offer a reply. “Just more theater and arts programs; I don’t think they are your style.”

“Oh, you think you know me?” Heath teased.

She smiled to herself, successful in her poke at him. Initially, she didn’t respond, but her eyes caught his. They both shared a moment as their eyes brightly connected. Together, without words they shared a pleasant exchange.

“I think I have parts of me that would surprise you. And please note for the future, I do enjoy the theater and the arts.” He would enjoy coloring, cleaning, anything that meant spending time with her.

Before heading off in another direction of the restaurant to finish her prep work, Lavin added, “We’ll have to wait another time for you to share what would surprise me.”

Heath smiled; she made him laugh. Little did she know her brief words shared with him gave him a happy heart through the rest of the shift.

Many of the scheduled shifts together brought them more continued friendly exchanges. Simple innocent times of connecting. Most were about her aspirations, goals, a
nd hobbies. He focused his attention on her with continued interest. When he spoke about what he desired, it was his passion for the restaurant succeeding beyond what his father had established. When he spoke of anything to her, her eyes never left his until her focus was pulled in another direction for a work task.

Lavin stored several of their past quick conversations in her memory and heart. “Your hair looks great pulled up, here, allow me…” Heath would delicately pull a few pieces of her hair to frame her face, and she would stand straight and show no effect as she quivered mercilessly inside. “Now, that’s perfection!” Heath would exclaim and tap her nose softly. All Lavin could give back was a tight-lipped smile. She wanted to give him a better response but hadn’t. She relished in him noticing her and kept how good that made her feel to herself.

Heath never discussed any sexual topics with her. Often, Lavin overhead him ask some of the other girls they worked with, “Did you enjoy last night?” His words radiated a sexual tone, and Lavin knew he was referring to sex with him. But he remained a gentleman in her presence. Lavin didn’t act like some of the other girls at Arden’s. She had nice tits but didn’t photograph them in the ladies’ room and send them via text to Heath mid shift. When Lavin went to the ladies’ room to relieve herself after drinking too many waters to stay hydrated on the floor on a busy night, she would catch the photo sessions and tit selfies. It wasn’t her style. She knew she was nicely built but didn’t expose herself.

The more summer days and nights she worked with Heath, she began to see the man inside of him, not the player exterior.

His eyes captured hers when they spoke, which earned him extra points because he didn’t shift them all over her body. She often wished he would look her over. Desire her. Want her. His sex appeal was already hard for her to handle. This was such a leap for her because when she first met him, she thought he was arrogant. As the days progressed, he opened up a bit, and she saw kindness flow out.

Lavin continued crushing on him. It was what she did well, and there was no end in sight. A few times they touched. He passed her from behind at the bar, and she shivered, biting her lip to prevent the sexual rush of him so close. Those moments she would recall vividly later when she would lie in her bed alone, thinking of him. There her fingers would pleasure herself, imagining his touch, until a rush of excitement tingled through her body. She tried not to call out Heath’s name with her self-induced release. Each time she quietly satisfied herself, she longed to quiver from his touch. Imagining that brought her to climax more quickly.

One particular time she held his touch for much longer. A light fixture that the electrician failed to refasten properly after servicing broke away from the ceiling. Heath dove at Lavin and pulled her to the floor.

Their lips almost connected. Her breath hitched. His eyes searched hers. She waited for him to kiss her. Take her, take all of her, and finally fulfill her crushing needs. Instantly, he moved her, but to standing upright. “That was a close call; that asshole electrician isn’t coming back here anymore.” His tone was aggravated. Then to calm himself, he replied, “Just call me your Savior.” He forced a smile, still frustrated that she’d almost been injured.

Lavin would call him anything, if one time she could hear her name passionately escaped his lips.

The only one she heard call out her name was David. She could sense that David knew she had a crush on Heath, but that didn’t seem to bother him too much as long as she was going down on him or he was attempting to please her on his desk and every place he could. As long as she had her attention on him. His condom full, bursting with semen from her riding him, satisfying him. She would stifle her soft moans of Heath’s name while David was pleasing her. More and more, it became displeasure. Hard to keep up the front of wanting to be with David when her heart was fixed on someone else.

On many days, she observed David seemingly content having her working closely with him. From a simple task of scheduling to a new menu item to share with the chef. She welcomed David showing her more of the restaurant details. Even simple moments of reviewing the reservations for an upcoming evening would make David smile. It was not about all the patrons coming to dine, the grin that appeared on his face she knew all too well. She could see him grow hard as he stood close to her. Lavin would note his eagerness to have her come with him to his office. It wasn’t for a business matter, but to take care of his hardening cock. She noticed he didn’t seem concerned about his sexual conduct with an employee. Lavin followed him even though most times she wanted to just walk away. She knew he didn’t notice her disappointed face as she trailed behind him.

This afternoon, Heath flashed her a smile as he came in for the night shift to begin. He noticed her, their eyes connected, and she was instantly absorbed with feeling for him. David stood in front of her, tilting his head. “We have a little bit of time before any reservations arrive.” His eyes landed on her chest. Her low cut black top definitely engaged his focus, and she often tugged her top lower, hoping Heath would fall victim to her enticements. He hadn’t.

David though did give her all his attention, asking her to come into his office before her evening began. She blew out a breath, not a sexually fueled one, but one of boredom. She sucked off David. Just as she thought, he’d cum in seconds. It was all very quick. Afterward, there was no connection between them. David reached for her, pulling her over his thighs to try to hold her. Lavin rose quickly and threw him a towel to wipe himself. She’d stopped swallowing him a while ago. “I can’t stay any longer; my shift is ready to start.”

Lavin hurried into the office bathroom to freshen herself up. Most important was to brush her teeth and rinse her mouth a few times to rid any taste of David. She knew she would not be displaying that just got laid look during her shift because she hadn’t been allowing David to satisfy her. She was glad to have come out of David’s office unnoticed.

He’d gotten her off several times, and most were when she was sexually frustrated from seeing Heath. Then she would lead David on, have him please her, but in her mind, it was always Heath’s dick deep inside of her, not just his mouth. Lavin yearned to see Heath between the quivering flesh of her thighs. She craved his dick filling her entirely. A few times, she’d caught herself throwing David a confused look. “Come for me, baby, let it go…there you go!” Her eyes tightly closed as she had come hard, it was Heath she’d envisioned. “Do you want more?” David had asked and stuck his finger into her, playing with the wetness he’d so proudly released.

Lavin had pulled away. She’d wanted to relish the tingling sensation that erupted within her. She was intent to savor her orgasm, and if Heath had really been with her, she would have let him lap up all her juices until she’d come again and again. She distanced her body from David’s, with little desire to curl up next to him.

Heath enjoyed his schedule at Arden’s. It was fast paced and kept his adrenaline pumping. Since his father was the owner, he’d been afforded the employment position. His father hoped he would succeed. Heath was very good on the floor with the public and knew the restaurant business quite well. He did push the line with all the female employees, knowing he was good. Well, all but one. Lavin. There was something about her! Upon first meeting her, he’d almost stuttered. He’d cut his introductory greeting to her short. It had appeared rude, like he wasn’t concerned with who she was. He was very curious. He wanted to ask her a million questions but held himself back. There was something about Lavin that rocked him inside and, yes, in his dick too. There was no way he was going to take this girl to bed. He would think about her every day in every way, but he would not screw her and walk away. He knew she was having sex with their boss. David had been quite open, telling anyone who would listen the first time Lavin rode him and for just how long. Heath had suffered through that, wishing it had been him.

  Present Summer Season

  Uploading Intense Sexual Activity

After finishing the schedule for the next w
eek and updating the inventory for the bars and the wine cellar, David then turned his attention toward his computer and the growing video log. He noted Heath had a hard-on growing most every shift and generally found release. David viewed each new entry from the cameras intently. He tried to compare himself to Heath. Heath was well endowed. He was too, but Heath appeared cold and didn’t engage in sweet after-sex conversations. Yet the ladies still lined up for him and kept coming back. At this rate, David would be sharing so much with the world once he revealed Heath’s true colors.

The dinner shift was about to begin, so David needed to focus on his real job this evening and not on watching over Heath. He had enough videos and continued to log and capture his every move. Heath would be blown away, and let’s just say it wouldn’t be sexually, when David exposed him.

The reservation list was full. Lavin looked over it again and again to look busy as Heath stood across from her, talking with Zach, the bartender. She tried to keep her eyes on the book, but when she sought a quick glance at Heath, he was looking back. Just once, she wanted him to act and make a move toward her. Perhaps tonight she would try to flirt with him. Even though it sounded good, she knew she wouldn’t. She should just tidy up the napkins on the tables and make herself useful as far as work went.

Tyra came up and hugged her tightly. “Hey girl, some of us are getting together this evening after we close. You in?”

  “I’m not sure.”

“Why aren’t you sure of partying after a crazy night of business? What else do you have lined up, or who do you have lined up?”
