Black Waters (Strong Winds Series Book 5) Page 25

by Julia Jones

I’d like to thank Amanda Craig for suggesting a Dunkirk story – though I imagine this may not be what she had in mind. Voice actress Anna Bentinck’s advice on developing a character’s distinctive speech has been invaluable and I’ll never forget the thrill of listening to her recording The Salt-Stained Book. Xanthe should be acknowledging her tutor at this point and I need to say, yet again, that many years ago Margery Allingham and The Oaken Heart changed the direction of my life. And so did Francis Wheen – in quite a different way.
