  Chapter 32

S.D., King, Park, & Eddie took Sasha and T to the Barber Shop’s

basement through the back entrance. They covered the windows and pulled down the shades so they would not be seen. They were having their own special meeting.

“I thought you were dead,” T said as they tied him and Sasha up to a chair.

“I almost died. See, if it wasn’t for Angelo coming back to the house because he forgot something I would have been dead. Angelo found me there bleeding. He checked my pulse and saw that I had a little heart beat. He quickly rushed me to the hospital. Angelo is not who you think he his. He took care of my business in Italy. He gave the doctors an assumed name and told them a different story. Then, he sent a body to the States for my funeral. He told my aunt that I wanted a closed casket. He kept me safe until I was well again.”

“We all thought something wasn’t right. We felt it in our gut and even before that we knew you were trouble,” King said. “That night as you already know we called S.D. and he couldn’t find you. We thought that was strange so I went searching for what really happened. I found out that S.D. was alive. That’s when he told me that you two had something to do with it.”

T was pissed off and Sasha was scared.

“And Sasha I did trust you a little. I thought you had potential. You were running this game pretty well. I taught you well, but not well enough.” S.D. smirked. “You thought you could get away with it, huh, sweet heart.”

She remained quiet. She did not know what to say. She just looked at S.D. in shock and fear.

“Baby girl, you scared?” S.D. laughed even harder this time. “So, T, why’d you do it? Why did you want me dead?”

  T did not answer.

“Ok.” S.D. turned to Sasha. “What did I ever do to you? Were you that greedy?” He slapped her across the face.

“I want you guys to pay for what you did to me. This will not be a slow death for you.”

“I loved you. I really did. After we had gotten to know each other, I fell for you. I wanted to tell you, but I didn’t know how,” Sasha said. “After I thought you were dead I missed you, I really did.”

  “Save it.”

T looked at her with disgust. “Oh, so you loved him. I knew you did. You wanted to keep his baby. I should have let Spunk kill you!”

S.D.’s eyes grew wide. “What baby?”

He laughed. “She was pregnant with your child. But, I told her to abort it. I didn’t want any more of you around.”

S.D. wanted to pistol whip him, but he would save that for later. “So, you tried to have me killed and you killed my child. Why did you hate me so? We were brothers and we were friends. I thought we were cool?”

“We were,” T snarled. “I just wanted more. I wanted more money, more power, more respect.”

“You could have had more. All you needed to do was ask.”

  “Why did you involve her?”

“I knew woman were your weakness. She would be perfect to get your guard down and get all your secrets and information from you. But it all fell through when Ice and King called you and it definitely fell through since you ain’t dead.”

Sasha felt like the dumbest person in the world.

S.D. laughed. “Smart man...real smart to send a woman to get my guard down. Well, from this day forward that won’t ever happen again.”

Sasha was sobbing all through their conversation. She was sorry. She wanted out. She did not want it anymore. It was the life, but it was turning out in a way she was not ready for. She began to think about the warnings she had gotten. She began to think about how her instincts said no do not do it, but she did not listen. She also began to think about how she chose her own way.

  “I’m...s-sorry,” Sasha cried out.

“Oh, ma, you are. Well it’s too late. You messed with me and tried to have me killed. You almost succeeded and for that your sentence is death,” S.D. said as he turned to T and asked, “any last words?”

T cursed at S.D., and S.D. shot him in the leg and then the side. “I just want you to feel the pain...” S.D. pistol-whipped T. “…before I blow your brains out.”

  Bang.

S.D. shot T in the head. He was dead.

“Get ride of her.” S.D. turned around and walked off as the crew fired shots into her body. He was back, back with a vengeance. “The game has changed and so have I,” he said.

  * * *

Beep. A long flat line came across the screen.

  “Call the time.”

  “Time of death, 2:45 am.”

  Chapter 33

“T he way you lived your life has brought you here.” He walked over to the throne like chair to take a seat. “Come have a seat with me so we can discuss some things.”

I walked over to where He was and sat at His feet. The throne was gold and all around the throne were words of who He was.

“We’ve watched your whole life from beginning to end. How do you feel about it?”

I paused and peeked behind him. Behind him was a beautiful waterfall. The water was crystal blue and flowed out of the rocks. A blue bird flew all around it. I believe it was singing. Singing a song of praise. Then, I began to speak.

“I’m hurt that my life had to end like that. What I am most hurt about is the fact that I didn’t listen to the warnings. I didn’t get to live my life the right way.”

“What could you have done differently?” he questioned.

I looked up and clouds began to hover over the waterfall. It began to rain. We didn’t feel the rain. The rain was only where the waterfall was. The rain brought a beautiful smell that filled the room. It smelled like a sweet perfume that brought peace.

“I could’ve stayed in school which would have helped me to have a better life. I could’ve then went on to college and done something better with my life. I should have said no when T wanted me to help kill S.D. I could have turned away from hustling and not gone down that route.”

  “Anything else?”

I thought for a moment. “I could have turned to you.”

He paused. “I only wanted the best for you. I know some things hurt you in life. That is what led you to hustling and everything else. But, if you had given that pain to me and turned to me we wouldn’t be having this conversation right now, this early.”

I shook my head and lowered my eyes.

“Your greed for money and status brought you here. Do you even know how many lives you’ve affected? Your actions and decisions and choices cost so many people their lives, all because you wanted more. You could have saved their lives, protected them, and warned them, but you allowed greed to take over. Did you ever think about what would have become of them if they had a chance to live?”

He looked deeply into my eyes waiting for an answer, but I couldn’t answer.

“What would have happened if you chose to live right instead of wrong? What would you have turned out to be?”

  Again I couldn’t answer.

“Well, now you shall find out what would have happened if they would have lived and what you would have been. Come!”

We got up from the chair. We walked out of the room and proceeded down the hall to the next room. Two angels walked behind us. He began to lead and I wondered what could be next. We then walked inside a room that was more peaceful than the other room I was in. It had a lovely scent, a fragrance I had never smelled before on earth. On the walls were scripture verses in script, one in particular John 10:10, ‘the thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.’ It struck me as he began to speak.

“When I created you I had great plans for you and your life. Yes, it would have been a rough road, but you would have made it through. Your life in the beginning may have seemed rough, but in the end you would have been well pleased.”

The screen began to play my life, how it was meant to be.

“You chose to serve me at a young age. You held on to what your
grandmother taught about Me. You didn’t go astray. You continued to love me through the deaths of your family members.”

He looked at me again with loving eyes.

“You were a smart girl. If you went to school you would have excelled in your classes,” He said.

I watched as it showed me in school getting a test grade back and how excited I was. Then it showed me becoming President of my class.

“You had so much potential to be a leader and because of that people followed you and liked you. You lead your class very well, I might add.”

  I smiled a sad smile.

“Look, you graduated, was prom Queen, and went to the best school in the Nation on a Scholarship. From there you met a wonderful man who fitted you perfectly. You guys married after you got a job with a Fortune 500 Company. You were able to make the company billions of dollars. You had children. Two boys to be exact and you were able to retire early. Even while you worked at the Fortune 500 Company you went back to your community and helped out. You showed kids a different way. You taught them that they, too, could succeed even when the situations they were in told them they could not. You saved a number of kids lives all because you took time to spend with them and teach them the right way. You knew what it was like not to have parents and how rough it had been, but you showed them how they could adjust and still have a prosperous life. Lastly, you would have died at a ripe old age. Now don’t get me wrong it wasn’t all peaches and cream, you had some obstacles and some trails and tribulations, but you soared threw it and continued on. There were times when you wanted to give up, but you stayed with it. There were times in your marriage where it was rough, but it all worked out. There were times when you longed for more and I was there. You were able to do all this because you chose the right way and you also found and chose Me to be in your life.”

I began to cry. He was right if I had have changed, my situation, my life would have been different. Then, a portrait of me looking absolutely stunning and older showed on the screen. I was glowing in the portrait. I was mesmerized and couldn’t believe how beautiful I would have been.

  “That’s how I saw you.”

  Chapter 34

“Remember I asked you the question, did you ever think about

what would have become of them if they had a chance to live?”

  I nodded my head yes.

“Well, look. Look at Ice. If he had lived he would have still been on the streets for a time, but then he would have changed his life around. He would have chose to leave the game of drugs and then he would have owned his own business. Then some years after that he would have found a wife and they would have had kids. Now, she is without a husband and those three kids would never see life. Those kids were to grow up and be something. In fact one of them had the cure to a disease that’s running rampant in your community. If you would have followed my way or better yet, if you could have warned them they would have been saved. You could have warned them you know? Your name does mean ‘defender of men’.”

Again I shook my head with tears streaming down my face. A picture showed up on the screen of different people that were affected by my decisions. Many of them were dead. It hurt me to see them like that. I could have protected them and warned them. I could’ve shown them a better way. Now all of the lives that were taken would never see another day nor would they have had the opportunity to change their lives.

“Now I don’t blame just you because they had a part to play in it too. I have already showed them what their lives would have been like if they accepted Me and choose right, just like I am showing you. I needed to show you that because you chose the way that you did, it affected them. It affected future generations, and it affected you.”

“Lastly, before we go. See this kid. Because you aren’t there to guide him he becomes lost and ends up on the street. He starts hustling and ends up dying at a very young age, younger than you. I am showing you him because you would have made a valuable impact on his life. He would have did a hundred and eighty degree turn and would have done something better with his life as well.”

“Now look at theses kids. They are still on the streets reeking havoc, killing, taking more lives, doing worse things than you’d ever seen. If you were there doing what was right you could have helped them make better decisions and right choices. Their lives have been affected by your choices. They were to be doctors, lawyers, and preachers. Instead they are gang bangers, hustlers, and some have even died and gone to hell.”

“Come we have two more stops to make.”

  Chapter 35

I was shown heaven and the glorious sites. It was so beautiful like

nothing I’ve seen before. No artist could adequately depict how glorious heaven was. Birds were flying around, clouds in the air, streets of gold, tall buildings, angels and people walking, laughing, and smiling. I wanted to stay. I was like a child in the candy store. This was so much better than Venice, Italy, of course. There was a beautiful river with the tree of life, trees blossoming, and flowers I had never seen before. Colors I had never seen before. The smell still had a wonderful fragrance that touched my heart. There was singing in the streets. Everyone was very happy. No one was crying, no one was sad, no death, no liars or wicked people. It was just peaceful and beautiful.

There was a glow that filled the whole place and as we continued to walk the glow that filled the place became brighter. It was magnificent. We got to the door of the room we were about to enter into. It was very bright inside and I had to shield my eyes. Once again my eyes had to adjust to the brightness. I saw a throne and it appeared to be God sitting on it. Then the man I had been talking to this whole time walked to the throne. As he walked to the throne, people bowed low before him. Then, he sat, at the seat on the right hand of God. It was then that I realized it was Jesus I was talking to the whole time.

It was truly amazing. What I was seeing. It was like what my grandmother had read to me so many times before about heaven from Revelations 4, ‘and he who sat there was like a jasper and sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. And from the throne proceeded lightning, thundering, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: ‘Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God, the Almighty—the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come.’ Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: ‘You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by You will they exist and were created.”

To see this with my own eyes was truly amazing. I heard the sounds of heaven and saw things I had never seen before. I heard people all over worshipping God and saw a stadium of people bowing low before him. That’s when I fell to my knees.

The angel who was with me and on his knees too said, “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

It was glorious. It was magnificent. Something I would never forget. I watched as everyone in attendance gave Him praise and worshipped Him. It was a sight to see.

&n
bsp; “Come with me, Sasha,” one of the angels said.

They then led me out of the room and a few minutes later Jesus returned and walked in front of us. He led us down a tunnel. It was getting darker and darker.

“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death,” Jesus said.

I understood what he was saying and I was scared because I was one of those he had mentioned. I was scared and really wanted to turn back, but as we continued to walk along I began to see a red glow. I started getting queasier by the minute and I was feeling strange. I didn’t want to go to where we were headed. All I wanted to do was to return back to the place where we were. It was peaceful there. But, it wasn’t here. I tried to stop, but they had grabbed me by the arms. We continued to walk down to the end of the tunnel.

I saw things I had never seen before. There was a hideous creature with a man’s face. His face was deformed. I tried to hide my face, but I couldn’t. He just grinned at me. He was happy to see me. I tried to fight it even more, to run back to the place where it was peaceful and beautiful, but I couldn’t, the angels wouldn’t allow me too. Then, He stopped and began to speak, but as he spoke every demon near us stopped in fear.

“This is the place where people go when they choose to deny or not to accept Me. It is not pretty. I don’t want any one to go here, but it’s their choice. I try many ways to get their attention, but they still reject Me,” Jesus said.

There was fire all around. It was very hot. There were screams and as we walked by them people asked for a sip of water. More screams were heard from the torture. Screams and cries were heard all around. I covered my ears. It was horrible. Then, it went silent.

The silence scared me even more. I remember hearing so many times before ‘the quiet before the storm’. Now, the angels and Jesus are no longer beside me. They were no longer there. This time I was able to speak. I called out to them.
