Keeping Katie Page 14

by Angela Castle

"I can't. I'll miss my plane." Her weak protest wasn't fooling anyone.

"Then miss it. Damn it, Katie, this is more important," Jack growled.

Katie's resistance failed her as both men pushed her to where her aunt had indicated.

Once inside the vacant area, Penny turned on the men.

"Don't screw this up again. I'm going to take a nice stroll and leave all of you to sort things out." Penny left the three of them alone. Katie pulled away from Jordan who set down her suitcase while Katie took a seat in on one of the benches still covered in plastic wrap, not trusting her legs to support her. Jack paced. Jordan leaned against the wall, watching them both.

"Well then?" She glanced between them.

"Fuck, I'm no damn good at this." Jack ran a shaky hand through his dark hair. "Katie, I'm sorry for being such an asshole. I only wanted to know how you'd been hurt because I love you. I know what it's like to be hurt. My father was an asshole too."

She drew in a steady breath, fighting back the rampant emotions threatening to swamp her.

"He was constantly drunk and used to beat my mother. When I was old enough to start defending her, he'd lay into me too." The pain in Jack's eyes was evident.

Katie's heart lurched in her chest. She wanted to reach out and comfort Jack but remained seated. "He was a decorated army hero." Jack gave a disgusted snort at his words. "Shot in the line of duty, so he always claimed. I found out later he was discharged after getting into a fight with civilians who were defending themselves against his drunken onslaught. My mother couldn't take it anymore and left. She left me with my father. What kind of woman leaves their seven-year-old boy at the mercy of a monster?" Katie looked at Jordan. From his concerned expression, it was clear he was hearing this for the first time as well.

"I'm sorry, Jack," she said quietly, understanding his comment about how they had more things in common than she realised.

Jordan moved away from the wall to put his hand on Jack's shoulder in comfort. Jack sat down besides her taking her hand. "I understand what it's like to lose people you love and to be hurt. I know it doesn't nearly compare to what you've been through, but that's why we need each other. When I met Jordan, he helped me believe there were better things in the world--him being one of them." Jack looked at Jordan, love clearly written across both men's faces. Katie was deeply moved. She guessed it wasn't an easy thing for Jack to tell them these things. "When I met you, I couldn't believe I could get so lucky twice."

"You've got each other. You don't need me." She was struggling to keep the tears at bay.

"Oh, but that's where you're wrong, sweetheart. There is no us without you. You're the one we've been looking for. You are the only woman who can complete us."

Jordan knelt down, reaching up to touch her face in a gentle caress. Her chin wobbled.

"We need to know how you feel. I know together there is nothing we can't face, and there is nothing we wouldn't do to keep you in our lives. But if you don't feel anything for us, we won't stop you from leaving."

With both men looking at her like that, she couldn't take it anymore. She had to tell them her true feelings.

"I do love you, both of you." Tears finally broke free, rolling down her cheeks. "And that's what terrifies me the most. I've lost everyone I've ever loved. I was scared I would lose you too."

"So you tried to run, not just from us, but from yourself and your feelings." Jordan was spot on; they understood her better than she believed they did. She nodded.

Jack was the first to pull her into his arms. She reveled in his strength and warmth.

"You're never going to lose us, love, not ever. We're going to be around for as long as you can put up with us, even then you'll have a hard time getting rid of us." Jack added with a touch of humour. "Come home with us, kitten. This is where you belong."

"Let us show you how much we love and need you," Jordan added, his hand stoking up and down her back, sending sensual shivers through her body. Katie was a first class idiot to think she could ever live without these two men or their touch.

"What do you say, kitten?" Jack pulled back, gazing into her eyes. "I know it probably won't be easy living with two overbearing horny men, but you want to give it a try?"

She couldn't help the grin that split her face. "With an offer like that how can a girl refuse?"

Both Jack and Jordan were grinning. She had missed them terribly the last few days.

She tugged on Jack's jacket, pulling him forward to kiss him. No one ever had to tell or show Jack anything twice. He quickly took control of the kiss with a hungry possession. Reluctantly, he pulled back to push her into Jordan's waiting arms.

  Jordan hugged her close.

"God, I love you, sweetheart." He too kissed her deeply with the sweet eager passion that was Jordan. Together they seemed perfectly suited, which made Katie love them all the more. Jack stood up pulling her with him. A knock sounded a moment before Penny re-entered.

"So do we have a conclusion?"

Katie smiled at her aunt. "Yes, I'm staying."

"Oh love, I knew you'd make the right choice. I'll make my way home then. I'll talk to you soon." Penny walked over to kiss her cheeks and give her men a pat on their shoulders before turning to leave.

"I've got your bag. Let's head home." Jack snatched up her case and led the way out.

  Katie happily followed her men.

"Sweetheart, when we get you back home, I doubt you'll need clothes," Jordan grinned sheepishly. She laughed. She was finally leaving her past behind, and from her prospective, life was about get a whole lot better.

  Chapter Twenty

"Left! Left!" Katie directed her men as they carried the sofa in through the front door, down the hall, and into the parlour she and Jordan had converted into a comfortable sitting room. They placed the sofa down in the centre. Jack straightened up and stretched his back with a groan.

"I haven't worked this hard since, well, I can't remember." Jack moved to flop down onto the leather sofa they had just moved. Four weeks, a lot of hard work, and she and Jordan had transformed the old Victorian into a beautiful home. Even the grounds were starting to take shape under Katie's diligent toiling.

After arriving home from the airport, she had moved into the flat with the men she loved. Aunt Penny had been happy for them; Uncle Allen had been shocked to learn of her duel relationship, but had come to accept it after threatening her men with serious physical harm if they ever hurt his niece.

"All I wanted is for you to be happy, and I knew those two knaves could do the job."

Penny told her. She had laughed, understanding Penny had been on her side all the time.

The nightmares faded into nothing but a distant memory. Her men were dedicated to making sure she never slept by herself. Although they had given her her own bedroom, just like Jordan, she never slept there. Both she and Jordan preferred Jack's bed.

She had stopped cleaning at Henson and Henson and was attending a part time electricians' course, much to Jordan's delight.

"My very own sparkie, who turns up on time." She had giggled, crawling into Jordan's lap seductively rubbing her arse against his crotch.

"How about a sparkie that will turn you on instead?" Jordan had promptly flipped her onto her back and shown her how much she turned him on.

"You're going all soft in the middle," Jordan teased Jack, showing off by flexing his arm muscles. "You need to work out more." She shook her head with a smile at his display.

"Well, come on you two slackers, we still have half a van to unload." Katie put her hands on her hips.

"Slave driver, all you need is a whip, black leather and the outfit would be complete."

Jack muttered, as his gaze took a leisurely path from her legs up her body and down again, making her cheeks heat and stomach clench in anticipation.

"All your toys are packed in the van. If you want them you have to unload them," she said smugly.

"All right, help me up kitt
en." He raised his hand to her. She rolled her eyes and slapped her hand into his, only to squeal as Jack gripped her hand and tugged her down onto his lap, securing her with one arm around her waist.

"Change of plans, kitten, I have another workout in mind," he murmured. He ran kisses over Katie's neck; his fingers skated up to cup her breast. She squirmed in his hold.

"Jack, we have work to do." Her breathless protest would get her nowhere. In every way she was just as much a helpless slave to these men's sensual delights as they were to her. It wasn't just sex; she was addicted to everything about Jack and Jordan.

"Jordan! Help me," she gasped, making a half-hearted attempt to break free of Jack's strong grip.

"Certainly, sweetheart." He came up behind her, only to help Jack pull her top up and toss it aside. He knelt down to run kisses along the curve of her spine; she gave up the fight and melted into her men's arms.

"Who's going to unpack?" she murmured a soft moan as Jack's hand slid down inside the waistband of her pants, finding her sweet spot. Jordan turned her head, and she accepted Jordan's deep hungry kiss.

  "It'll keep, kitten."

"The most valuable thing is already in the house sweetheart. You," Jordan whispered against her lips. He unsnapped her bra. He slid it off her shoulders before skimming his hands around to cup her breasts. He offered one up to Jack, who eagerly sucked on the presented breast. She moaned against the feel of Jacks hot, wet tongue tugging at her nipple. Katie sighed in complete contentment, letting the sensual wave of her men overtake her.

She couldn't have been happier; gaining more than most women could ever hope or dream to have. She was simply the luckiest woman on the planet to have two adoring, loving men.

Jordan and Jack had confessed their dream and cunning little scheme to 'keep' her.

Loving them both so completely, Katie could do nothing but smile. She wanted nothing more than to make all their dreams come true.
