“Shit,” he grounds out, gripping my hips harder and moving me over him.

“Oh God,” I moan, my head flying back.

My body arching, my core tightening around his hard length.

Groaning when I feel his teeth latch onto one sensitive nipple.

“Nash or Husband,” he bites out against the hard peak.

His tongue soaking through the material, making my body shiver.

My nails bite into his hard back making him hiss, his muscles flexing into my fingers, soft kisses and bites travel across my chest.

A light sheen of sweat coating our bodies.

“Get there,” he grits out against my neck, his teeth biting into the soft flesh at the spot where my neck meets my collarbone and that does it.

I scream out as my body begins to spiral out of control.

Everything inside me spinning and crashing into an earth-shattering orgasm.

  Stars explode across my vision.

My head is floating in euphoric bliss, never wanting to come down from this amazing feeling.

“Fuck,” he grits out as my inner muscles squeeze him like a vice.

He begins pumping into me harder, faster, setting off a whole new wave of bliss running through me, before he throws his head back.

My name echoes around us like a prayer.

I hum, feeling his warm release explode inside me.

“Lassoed, branded and fucking mine,” he gruffs out on a panting breath and all I can do is nod.

Completely okay with his kind of branding.

  Nash

Dusting the dirt off my boots and jeans before heading into Steel Mare, Dad slaps me on the shoulder before he pushes through the glass doors.

When Cora called earlier and said Mum wanted us to come by for dinner at the pub tonight, I was relieved.

Today was a long hard, exhausting fucking day in the sun and I didn’t want Cora to have to worry about cooking dinner.

She hasn’t been feeling well the last week.

But has that stopped her from doing dinner every night and housework?

  Nope.

  Stubborn bloody woman.

Then I found out from Dad that Cora was helping Mum today at the pub and it pissed me off. Because not only was she going to be on her feet all day but every dick in town plus all the truckies that stop in for lunch check her out.

The only saving grace was the fact she is six months pregnant, but does that stop anyone from chatting her up?

  Fuck no.

I have come to realize I may have to rope her ass to my bed permanently.

That way no other fucker can touch her or drool over her pregnancy glow.

Cora has always been gorgeous, but pregnant Cora is fucking radiant.

Shaking my shitty mood off, I push through the glass doors.

  Stopping in my tracks.

Zeroing in on some fuck in Hi-Vis gear with his arm around my wife’s shoulders.

She's laughing at something he just said as his eyes track down her body as if she is his very own smorgasbord he is dying to eat at.

  Motherfucker.

“Move that arm before I break it the fuck off,” I bark out.

The whole pub goes quiet around me, but I don’t give a fuck as I take up the space between us and pull my wife into my arms.

“Hey Cowboy,” her sweet voice reaches my ears but I’m too busy death staring at Jeff, one of the truckies that stops in on the regular, to reply.

“Chill man, we were just talking,” he smirks holding up his hands.

“You don’t need to touch my wife to talk to her,” I spit out.

Her hand rests against my chest, pulling my eyes away from the dick.

Leaning down, taking her lips in an all-consuming kiss that leaves no doubt to any fucker in here that she is mine.

Resting my hand against her gorgeous ever-growing belly, giving it an affectionate rub.

Pulling back, I try to relax, but it's no use.

I'm coiled tight and I know I won’t relax till I get her home and under me.

“You should not be here working.”

“Duly noted,” she nods her eyes laughing at me.

“Come sit down with your dad,” she pulls on my arm, wanting me to follow her.

With one last laser look at Jeff, I follow her.

“I just have to help Mum with something, and then we will join you guys,” she smiles, and it hits me square in the chest.

“Cora,” I warn her, wanting her to sit down and take it easy.

“I won’t be long,” her eyes beg me to let her go.

“Fine. Don’t take too long,” I give in, taking a seat.

My father’s chuckling his ass off as he slides a nice cold beer in front of me.

“Shut it old man,” I grumble, taking a sip of my beer, watching my woman's ass swinging left to right as she heads towards the back storage room.

“Nice show,” Dad barks out a laugh.

“How the fuck can guys still be interested in her when she is obviously pregnant, let alone the motherfucking diamond on her finger?”

The look in his eyes says he has an answer but wisely shuts his mouth.

  “Just spit it out.”

“Are you sure?” he quirks a brow.

  Amusement shines in his eyes.

I know I’m not gonna like what he has to say, but I nod.

Looking towards the chair next to me when it scrapes across the hardwood floors.

Lifting my chin in greeting, Lucus takes the seat next to me.

“It’s because if they had a chance with her, they couldn’t get her pregnant,” Dad throws out.

Which has my head snapping in his direction.

“Are you fucking kidding me?” I growl.

“Afraid not, son,” he laughs, shaking his head.

“That’s it, her ass is getting roped to my bed. She will be lucky if I ever let her out again,” I grunt, nodding, thinking that is the best fucking idea I have ever had.

“Good luck with that, son,” Dad laughs.

Slapping his palm against the table rattling the glasses spread out.

Lucas joins in, making me roll my eyes.

  Assholes.

“I don’t know a lot about women if anything but I know your woman, and she may seem meek but fire burns bright and hot inside her. Which means there is no way in hell she will let that happen,'' Lucas smirks while taking a drink of his beer.

“You just wait, brother, when a woman finally has you wrapped so fucking tightly around her finger I’m gonna make sure I give you shit,” I wink.

I swear to christ he mumbles some shit like I’m already wrapped.

His eyes briefly shoot towards Lucy serving drinks to a couple at the bar.

She laughs at something one of the guys says, making Lucas grunt as he downs the rest of his beer.

“I would love to see you try and rope her son, cause if she is anything like your mother you have no hope in hell,” Dad breaks in and both idiots start laughing again.

“Fuckers,” I mumble around my glass just as Mum walks over and stops in front of me.

  “Nash Jacob Steel,” she scolds.

Hands slamming down on her hips.

The toe of her shoe tapping against the hardwood floor.

“I’m not even sorry, that one was Dad's fault,” I fire back pointing straight at Dad who quickly stops laughing and smirks up at my mother.

“Lou Michael Steel,” she scolds, but I see the twitch of her lips.

“You can full name me all you want when I get you home,” he smirks, licking his lips.

“In fact,” he clicks his fingers.

“How bout I make you scream it?”

My mom's cheeks turn pink at my father's words as I proceed to choke on a mouthful of beer.

A hard hand begins hitting my back, sneering at a laughing Lucas.

  “Seriously, you two I lov
e ya both but I don’t need to know about that shit,” I choke out still trying to recover.

Waving my hand around the pair of them.

“Oh, hush it.” Mum pats my hand.

“Cora and I have a surprise for you so be good, or we won’t show you,” she smiles, chuckling. That gets my attention and I swing my head around trying to find my woman.

That’s when I see her walking from the back room with a big box.

“Shit babe, you shouldn’t be carrying that,” I scold, pushing from my seat.

Quickly grabbing it from her hands.

“It’s not heavy,” she rolls those eyes, smiling.

It barely weighs anything, but still.

“You could have tripped over,” I say, making her roll her eyes harder.

“Just put it on the bar,” she points and I do what she says.

  “What is it?” I wonder.

Standing back, looking at the big box.

Dad and Lucas stand either side of me, and I notice everyone else's eyes are now on the box.

“Well, mum and I went to the doctor’s today,” she holds up her hand when I open my mouth.

Worried something is wrong, our next appointment wasn’t until next week unless I fucked up and got it mixed up.

“No, this was a secret appointment Mum made for me,” she winks, easing that worry.

“Okay,” I say slowly, not sure what to think.

“Open the box, Cowboy,” she says excitedly.

Waving her hand towards the box.

Stepping up to the bar, I notice there is a note attached to the top.

Pulling it free I raise a questioning brow at Cora.

  She nods smiling.

My eyes swing to my mother, and she motions to go ahead.

Carefully unfolding the paper, my head begins to spin, my heartbeat thunders in my ears and my breath stills in my throat as I begin to read.

“Open the box Cowboy,” Cora’s voice catches in her throat.

Without thought, I reach over and pull the flaps open.

Out pops a bunch of pink and purple balloons.

“Holy shit,” I gasp, then notice each one has different sayings written out across them.

  See you soon, Daddy.

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice.

  We love you.

Little girls make the world Sweeter.

  Sassy like our Mommy.

  Cowgirls in training.

  Daddies Girls… Back off!

The bar erupts around us in applause and congratulations, but I only have eyes for my wife.

Her sweet smile kisses those lips I love so much, tears ghosting down those rosy cheeks.

Taking up the space between us.

I cup the back of her neck, pulling her into me as far as she can go with our babies between us.

Shit, our babies, as in two.

Fuck I’m gonna have my hands full I think.

Shit, that sounds so fucking good.

Without a word, I slam my mouth down on hers.

Hoping my girls will look just like their mother.

Then my heart does some funny shit in my chest when I realize I’m having girls and I really do need to get that shotgun loaded up cause no fucker will touch them.

“I love you so fucking much, Little Mare,” I breathe into her lips when I pull back.

“I love you more, Cowboy,” she giggles cupping my face in her small hands.

“Two,” she whispers, a hint of trepidation in her voice.

“We got this Little Mare, one sunset at a time,” I murmur.

Knowing that's her favourite part of the day making her smile.

Her breath hitches as those fucking eyes swirl in a mood ring of colours, mesmerizing me all over again.

“Girls? Really?” I ask, cause fuck, I thought for sure we would have a boy.

My heart picks up when a sexy smile curls her full lips. My hard cock pushes against my zipper. Mentally shaking myself, knowing I need to stop thinking about taking her home and fucking her brains out while those eyes stare straight through me.

  “Yes,” she laughs now.

“Shit, yeah we got this,” I gruff out.

Making her laugh harder and everyone else around us.

“Don’t worry brother I got your back no fucker will ever get close to them,” Lucas calls out.

“No one will touch my Princesses,” Dad says with a hard edge to his voice.

"Oh, this is going to be fun," Lucy calls out laughing.

Mum and Cora look at each other with panic in their eyes, making Dad, Lucas and me laugh now.

“Don’t look so worried Little Mare we got this and after tonight I have plans set in place to rope your ass to my bed for the next few months,” I wink.

  “Asshole,” she mumbles, smiling.

Her body betrays her as it shivers against mine.

“You’ll get used to it,” I mumble right before my lips hit hers, pouring everything I have into the kiss.

Loving Cora Steel will be the easiest thing I have ever done.

Those two precious babies in her belly will probably drive me to an early grave, but I know a lifetime with them by my side will never be enough.

My shotgun is loaded and ready for the next chapter in our life.

  “Right this way, Miss Carlyle.”

Sheriff Wilson's sweeping gesture directed me toward the waiting patrol car. Making the most of my momentary freedom, I tilted my head to the early morning sun, soaking in the fleeting touch of the warm spring rays. I hadn’t been kissed by the sun outside of those cold stone walls for eight months, so the least the sheriff could do was allow me these few stolen moments to breathe it in.

All I carried was a small duffle bag that held what little belongings I still possessed. I had no idea what fate the rest of my possessions had suffered—for all I knew, Will had cleared them out.

The sheriff's not-so-subtle clearing of his throat snapped me back to the reality of my situation, and he stood by the open rear door, eyeing me like he expected me to make a bolt for it.

I wish; running as hard and as far as I could was all I wanted to do. Except, there was one thing—the most important in my life—holding me back. I had to push through the last few months of my sentence and be thankful for the program that would allow me to endure it well away from the prison compound.

That in itself scared the shit out of me. Everything was uncertain and vague, but I knew for sure that the unknown wasn't anywhere near as intimidating as some women within those walls behind me.

Taking the last few steps and chucking my bag into the back seat of the patrol car before sliding in, I kept my eyes straight ahead as the sheriff shut the door with a resolute thump.

I refused to steal one last look at the prison commanding attention from behind the razor wire fence. I never wanted to see that horrid, cold, gray place again.
