She frowned.
“I do make a good point, don’t I?” he asked and she nodded.
“I hate that you are making a lot of sense.”
“So, adding the fact that some help will come in handy when we have two screaming infants after the birth doesn’t really make you feel better, does it?”
She shook her head and frowned. She took another bite of her oatmeal.
“Fine. But I would rather get someone mature because God knows I cannot deal with all the mood swings of a young Latin American girl trying to hit on you.”
Axel smiled and then laughed.
“Really? You are jealous of someone who I don’t even know exists?”
She shrugged.
“I am going to get wildly insecure as this pregnancy progresses. So, I just want you to be ready for anything,” she said matter of factly.
He nodded.
“All right then. This is probably a good time to mention the fact that if you had not agreed to having a housekeeper, my mother was going to move in.”
She shook her head.
“You’ve already told your family?” she asked and he shook his head.
“No, but I know my mother. She is going to be extremely protective of her grandbabies.”
She exhaled loudly.
“We really have to plan on how we are going to break the news to our families, aren’t we?” she asked and he nodded.
“Oh, yeah. But I was thinking we could just go to Suriname. Have some fun and then tell them.”
She took another bite of her oatmeal and sipped on her juice.
“Yeah, that sounds like a great plan.”
He got up and looked at the counter.
“That housekeeper needs to be here ASAP. I just hate cleaning up after myself,” he said and she nodded.
“Oh, I know that,” she said, smiling.
He kissed her lips softly and grabbed a bunch of keys from the counter.
“Let me know as soon as you get to the office,” he said when he pulled away and she smiled.
“I will.”
His hands ran down the sides of her body before he brought them up again to gently caress her full breasts.
“What time is your meeting?” he asked as he gently stroked her breasts.
“In about twenty minutes.”
He gently ran one hand down to her thigh.
“Can you be late?” he asked as he pulled her dress up to caress her bare skin.
“No, but I will be back home in an hour. How does that sound?” she asked as she pulled him closer by his tie.
“An hour.” He took her hand and put it on his crotch. She gasped silently when she felt the bulge in his pants.
“Does that feel like I can wait an hour?” he asked and she smiled as she got off her own seat.
“I can give you a band aid fix.”
“How are you...” Axel started before his voice trailed off when she suddenly undid his belt faster than she had ever done before. She yanked the belt off and went on to undo his zipper. “Oh, my God…baby…”
He leaned against the counter as she got to the floor and took him into her hot mouth. Axel threw his head back when he felt the warmth of her mouth engulf his girth. He could not help but hold on to the edge of the counter as he felt her tongue circling his highly sensitive cock. His head was spinning as she took him deep inside her throat and the fact that they’d had to slow down in the last week was not making it easier for him to hold back. He was doing everything he could to keep himself in check, but it did not seem to work. And just when he thought he had done everything he could to make himself last a few more minutes if not seconds, she held his balls in her hands and took him balls deep making him gasp.
“Slow down,” he whispered. “Please slow down.”
But his pleas were falling on deaf ears because she was only going faster. He moaned and gasped over and over as she flicked her tongue on him. He could feel himself getting dangerously close to the edge and he could not really do anything about it.
“Trina…” he moaned before he felt himself explode into her mouth but even when he was cumming wildly, she was sucking hard. Draining him of every last drop.
She pulled away and gently dubbed the corners of her mouth.
“Now, do you think you can last an hour?” she asked as she got up.
He pulled her close and kissed her. He could taste himself on her mouth, but he did not even care.
“My turn,” he said in a whisper as he took his hand. He sunk to the ground and pulled her down.
“You are going to make me late,” she whispered. He smiled as he gently pushed her down and pushed her dress up to expose her full thighs.
“You can always make up some sort of excuse,” he said, his hands on her knees spreading her legs.
She gasped when he pulled her already wet panties to the side and began stroking her wetness. She would gasp every time his thumb rubbed against her hard clit.
“There is no way you can do that to me and expect me not to return the favor,” he whispered as he brought himself up to caress her breast. His index finger was already inside her, testing her wetness and she was whimpering. “An hour is too long. You know that.” He smiled as he lowered his head to kiss her softly. He was caressing and fingering her as he worked his head down her body once again to claim her pussy with his mouth.
She arched her back and moaned as he licked each fold and flicked his tongue on her. When he thrust his tongue into her salty core, she cried out and brought her leg up to wrap around him.
“Axel…Axel…” she moaned as he went on licking and sucking.
By the time he pulled away, she was shivering under him.
“I am officially late,” she said in an exhausted whisper and Axel laughed as he lay next to her.
“You could still make your meeting on time.”
“I still have to wait for my strength to come back before I can get behind the wheel,” she said. He turned to look at her and kissed her cheek gently.
“Now, I can wait an hour,” he said as he pressed his forehead to hers.

“I know, I know. I’m late,” Trina said as she walked into Crews and Associates.
Victoria smiled at her.
“It’s okay. You are just…” She looked at her phone. “Three minutes late.”
Trina smiled.
“Is he here?”
Victoria nodded.
“Waiting in the board room.”
“All right, please take these for me if you don’t mind,” Trina said as she handed her jacket and bag to Victoria.
“Of course, I don’t mind.”
“And join me with the investigator as soon as you possibly can?”
“Sure.”
“Thanks, Vickie,” Trina said smiling before she made her way to the board room. “I’m sorry I’m late,” she announced as she walked in and Lucas looked up at her.
“Actually, you are just a few minutes late.”
“Yes, but I am always here before my meeting. That is kind of my thing.”
“It’s all right. Your assistant actually told me that you have not been here for the better part of the week.”
She nodded.
“I am actually just here for this meeting and then head back home.”
“Everything all right?” he asked and she shrugged.
“Everything is great really. I just want to take things a little slow for now.”
“So, you only came in for this meeting?” he asked and she nodded. “I would have come to you, you know.”
She shook her head.
“I needed to see something other than my four bedroom walls. You can only watch so much reality television without your brain bleeding.”
He raised an eyebrow over the other.
“Wait, are you not feeling well?” he asked and she sat down.
“I was not feeling well, but it turns out I just needed some rest.”
“You alw
ays worked yourself too hard,” he said as she leaned back smiling.
“That’s the only way stuff gets done,” she said. “So, can I get you anything? Tea? Coffee?” He nodded.
“I actually wouldn’t mind some water.”
She smiled and sent a quick text to Victoria before she put her phone down.
“So, your assistant told me that you got something about my case,” he started and she nodded.
“Just how much did you share with this Sonya when it came to your company?” she asked and he shrugged.
“Not much…just the usual. HR looking into personal things they should not even be concerned with…” He shrugged. “The usual.”
“So, you never mentioned anything about the direction your company is taking?” Trina asked as Victoria and Al Connors, the firm’s investigator, walked in.
Lucas looked at Trina and then at Victoria before he gave the investigator a curious look.
“What is going on?” he asked.
“You remember Victoria, right?” Trina asked as Victoria put a bottle of water in front of Lucas. “And this is Al Connors. Our in-house investigator.”
Lucas shook his head.
“Investigator…what the hell is happening here?” he asked, confused.
Al set a laptop on the table and looked at Trina.
“Do you mind?” he asked and she nodded. She gave him a dismissive wave.
“Take the floor.”
She reached for the extra bottle of water that Victoria had brought in and began opening it.
“We were taking a look at all of Sonya Misalucha’s social media platforms. Facebook and Instagram were a little of a bust, but according to a few videos she had posted on Snapchat, she has been hinting on living the high life in the near future and those posts started almost immediately you two broke up.”
Lucas shook his head.
“What?”
“At first we thought they were just rants but taking a closer look at the videos and her Instagram photos showed that they were anything but.” Al clicked on a video and the whole board room was silent as they all waited for the minute-long video to play out. “That video,” Al went on as he typed on the keyboard. “Was posted the same day as this photo.”
“Waiting to be a permanent member of the NYSE. Hashtag twenty percent stake?” Lucas read and shook his head. “This bitch thinks I am going to hand her twenty percent of my company?”
“That is why she has been asking for an outrageous settlement,” Victoria said.
“Not forgetting the way she keeps on hiking the settlement price,” Trina pointed out.
“We reckon if she goes high enough, she will match the value of the company,” Al said.
“This is bullshit,” Lucas said as he ran his fingers through his hair.
“Let me just ask this, are you planning to list the company anytime soon?” Trina asked and Lucas exhaled loudly.
“Yes. But the whole planning has been kept under wraps for the whole preparation period. No one knows except for me and a few choice people. All who are vital to the process if I must say so.”
He took a long deep breath and exhaled loudly.
“This is a nightmare.”
“We have a way out of it,” Victoria said and Lucas looked up at her.
“Please…I am open to anything right now.”
“Come clean with your wife about the affair.”
Lucas frowned.
“I was an ass cheating on her…I don’t want to hurt her like that.”
“Well, I believe that ship has sailed, Lucas,” Trina said as he looked at him. “Besides, the divorce settlement alone will be so much lighter on your pocket than what you will have to pay Sonya.”
“Trina…I don’t think…” Lucas started before Trina shook her head.
“This is about your prenup. Isn’t it?” she asked. “Because I don’t see how someone like you got married without one.”
Lucas’ face fell and Victoria shook her head.
“Unbelievable,” she said under her breath.
“Vickie, Al, would you guys give me some time alone with Lucas?” Trina asked and Victoria nodded. She waited until the two were out of the board room before she looked at him. “So, what if you made a mistake? You cannot allow yourself to be taken for a ride by that girl and if you do, she is going to take you for everything you’ve got. Because she will not stop there. You know that.”
“How? It is not like she is going to come back from more.”
Trina forced out a laugh.
“You clearly don’t know how blackmail works. Do you?” she asked. “You already gave her a house and she is still giving you a hard time. Now she wants a stake of a company worth millions so, how long do you think it will be before she comes holding that sword over your head again?”
“But there are things I can’t take back…like the house, the car…”
Trina put a finger up.
“Hold up, a car?” she asked and he nodded.
“Didn’t I mention that before?”
“I think I would have remembered something like that,” she pointed out. “So, please tell me it’s a lease.”
He frowned and shook his head.
“No, I bought it.”
Trina shook her head.
“You were really into this girl, weren’t you?”
“I really thought I was going to have her for the long run, but hey…that’s what happens when you think with your penis, huh?”
Trina smiled.
“Exactly.” She looked at the file on her desk and bit her lip. “Just how bad were things with your wife when you started out with Sonya?”
He shook his head.
“Bad. Really, really bad. I mean, the word divorce had been thrown around a few times.”
“I don’t want to sound judgmental or anything but was the prenup was the only thing that was keeping you in the marriage?” she asked and he nodded reluctantly. “Well, let me stop being a lawyer for a minute and be the ex. Being more of an asshole does not guarantee you a ‘get out of hell’ card. If anything, it only makes things a little worse.”
“So, your advice is that I come clean about the affair?” he asked and she nodded.
“Yes. And she can keep the house and the car, but that is all she will ever get.”
He took a long deep breath.
“What’s the worst that can happen?” she asked. “I know you have been in the dog house with your wife before.”
He nodded.
“I have. But always because she was suspicious. Never because she had any evidence.”
“So, you think coming clean is bad?” she asked and he nodded. “Think about it like this. You tell your wife, and the worst thing is that she asks for that divorce and takes…how much is she entitled to in the prenup?”
“Thirty percent of all the assets.”
“So, she gets thirty percent and another vindictive ex gets another percentage of your assets. Then overall, you will have lost more at the end of it all more than you would have if you simply came clean in the first place. I know it is ugly but even you have to agree, it makes sense.”
She took a long sip of her water and he nodded.
“I really don’t like it.”
“I know you don’t, but I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t give you the best advice.”
He ran his fingers through his hair.
“This is going to suck,” he said and she laughed.
“Yes, it is but it is going to be worth it,” she said before taking another sip of her water. “So, do it ASAP because I will be heading out for a few days and I would like to leave everything handled on my side before then.”
“Sure. I’ll just get hammered tonight before I go home.”
She took another sip.
“That’s good. The sooner the better.”
Chapter 6
Trina would have expected everything to go a whole lot smoother when Lucas finally came clean to his w
ife but instead, she found herself in a stalemate. There was no pending divorce but the case was not really going anywhere. For some reason, Sonya was no longer pressing any buttons probably because she did not really have any more buttons to press and Lucas was yet to announce when he was taking his company public. It was as if time had stood completely still. And even though Trina had gone as far as postponing the trip to Suriname for a few weeks just so she could understand where things stood, there was no definite date when she was expected to have the whole thing locked and loaded. So, after waiting for as long as she could, she finally decided to take Axel up on his offer and take a few personal days. After all, after all the work and extra lazy days Trina had been having lately, they needed the vacation. With the new sleep patterns and random bouts of exhaustion, Trina had come to appreciate having the new housekeeper, Rosa. Matter of fact, she could not remember why she was so against having a housekeeper in the first place. She had proven to be the best thing that could ever happen to her.
On that particular Tuesday, however, Trina and Axel were exceptionally excited. It was the day they were meant to find out whether they were having a boy or a girl. And it was also the day they had decided on telling their families. Keeping the pregnancy a secret had been hard, but it had to be done after the scare Trina had earlier on. She had planned on waiting until everything had settled down before she told anyone who was bound to fuss over her for the next few months. And after getting whatever news Dr. Hahn had, they were going to fly out to Suriname and celebrate for four days…maybe even the entire week. But even though Trina had almost an entire week to prepare for the trip, she still was not done packing minutes before they were scheduled to leave. Axel had a smile on his lips as he looked at her struggling to zip up her suitcase. She always did this. Pack too much even though she never really needed half the stuff she packed anyway.
“We are going for four days but you look like you are packing for a month,” he said as he looked at her. “It is not like you are going to need all these clothes anyway. I mean, I have plans for you when we get to Suriname. Big, big plans.”
She smiled.
“And I am guessing these big plans do not necessarily involve me wearing any of the clothes I have packed?” she asked and he shook his head.
