Grinning, she rolled so that she was on top of her witch, but not touching and carefully slid down so she was settled between the other woman’s thighs. Leaning down, she placed gentle kisses across the skin exposed where the tank top had ridden up. She nibbled gently, not quite enough to wake the woman as she trailed lower. The detective nuzzled the simple cotton fabric, catching the scent of Raelin’s body as it responded to her attention even in sleep. She paused when she felt Raelin stirring and waited for her to settle before she went back to work, knowing the witch was soon going to wake. She pulled the fabric aside carefully and with one last grin, she flicked her tongue out in a long firm stroke across Raelin’s clit.
Raelin’s hand came down and tangled her fingers in golden hair, holding Del right where she was. “Don’t stop now...” she growled her voice still thick with sleep.
Del just hummed into Raelin’s sex, resuming her work in earnest. She felt the fingers in her hair and it spurred her on. Dipping lower, she took in all she could of the woman under her. God, how she loved how Raelin tasted; sweet, but always that underlying tang of earth and something else that was all her witch. Replacing her tongue with her hand, she slid two fingers inside, groaning when Raelin bucked underneath her.
Moaning, Raelin’s other hand fisted the bottom sheet, trying to anchor her body down even though her soul was soaring. ‘Please let Rori have learned his lesson because if he comes in now, he’s going to be short a few lives,’ the witch thought.
Del continued the motion of her hand in time to the motions of her tongue. When she finally had Rae right on the edge, she backed off just enough to keep her hanging, by the slimmest of margins. She grinned up at her lover as she held her there, her eyes giving a silent challenge.
Rolling her hips unconsciously, Raelin panted as she waited on the blonde. She knew that she had something going on in that beautiful head; she wouldn’t just leave her there...would she?
Seeing the desperate look and the near panic that crossed her lover’s face, she decided to have mercy. Curling her fingers, she found that one spot she knew would drive Raelin near mad and pressed, lifting her head just enough to watch the emotions play across those beautiful eyes of her witch.
“DE...LA...NEY!” the witch moaned out low and slow, even though her body was bucking against the blonde’s fingers. “Please...don’t...stop.”
Del pressed harder, drawing it out as long as she could before she sent Raelin crashing over, her hips nearly jostling her from her place. She took it all in, the sounds, the feel, all of it, committing this time and place to memory.
Shuddering her release Raelin panted and found that she was still seeing stars behind her eyelids. Shaking her head slightly, she raised up her head to look down her body to see green eyes staring back at her. “Get up here and kiss me.”
Del slinked her way up Raelin’s body sitting astride her stomach and tossing her hair over one shoulder saucy grin on her face. She leaned down and kissed her witch briefly. Pulling back, she chuckled at the pout she saw. Still grinning, she lifted her left hand and wiggled the fingers before taking them in her mouth and cleaning them off with a moan. “I told you. Just as good with one as the other.”
“Hmm, I can barely remember how good you were with your right, but since you are injured, I guess that I’ll have to wait to compare honestly.” The brunette arched an eyebrow.
Del said nothing, instead she leaned down to give Raelin the long slow kiss she knew she’d wanted in the first place. She ran her hands up the witch’s side, taking the tank top with them, her fingers splayed out across Raelin’s ribs. She let herself slip into the moment, shutting out everything but the incredible woman she was in love with.
Pushing her own hands underneath Del’s t-shirt Raelin stripped it off, tossing it somewhere in the room. She brought up her hands to cup the blonde’s perfect breasts, rubbing her thumbs across the already hard nipples.
Arching into the touch, Del deepened the kiss, pressing her hips down and groaning when Raelin flexed her stomach and pressed against her. She mirrored Raelin’s touch, her hands sliding from the witch’s ribs to her breasts, her palm rubbing against responsive peaks.
Kissing Del like there was no tomorrow Raelin squeezed her breasts, moaning as the blonde did the same to her. Slowly she moved her hands down Del’s body until she was able to touch the warm slickness that was purely her detective. “Let me love you Delaney,” the witch pleaded.
The blonde hissed when she felt Raelin’s hand press against her and all she could do was nod. She kissed her way across Raelin’s jaw dipping to her neck before moving to take one perfect breast into her mouth, suckling gently.
“Lift up for me babe.” And when the blonde did, Raelin slid in two fingers and began to thrust. Del felt so good surrounding her fingers and the witch let out a small moan as her breast was gently bitten.
Panting Del continued to nibble and kiss Raelin’s breast as the witch set a slow pace, a painfully slow pace. Del’s eyes widened and she pulled up to look into Raelin’s eyes. “I am so getting payback for torturing you, aren’t I?”
Wiggling under Del, Raelin’s almost black eyes smoldered. “Join me...love me at the same time.”
Del groaned at just the thought, but didn’t waste any time, sliding her hand down Raelin’s torso. She sat up so her weight was on her knees and looked down at the witch as she entered her with the first two fingers of her left hand never breaking eye contact as she moved. “God,” she breathed, Raelin always felt so good. “It’s like I can feel you everywhere.”
Matching Del thrust for thrust they settled into a rhythm, eyes locked as they moved together. Raelin felt her breath hitching every time Del curled her fingers and gasped when a thumb would swipe across her clit. She watched entranced at the way Del’s body moved against her; the way her chest heaved as she struggled for breath. She could feel Del climbing towards her climax, her body starting to contract around her fingers and Raelin could feel it in the way Del’s hand moved against her. She was having a hard time catching her own breath and she was so close herself. She ran her thumb over Del’s clit, jerking when she felt the detective do the same to her.
She caught Del’s eye and knew that she was right there waiting for the witch to push her over the edge. Nodding, she reached up with one hand and spread it out against Del’s midriff, steadying her. No longer able to hold herself back, she pressed down on Del’s needy bundle of nerves, and curled her fingers at the same time and grinned when Del crashed over with a strangled cry.
Seconds later Rae followed when Del’s fingers tensed and the Detective’s body pressed down on her hips, applying pressure in just the right place. She felt her body lock in place, unable to hold back the moan as waves of sensation wracked her body and stars once more flickered over her eyes. She looked up watching as Del panted above her, head thrown back in pleasure and knew she would never be able to go another day without the detective by her side.
Del finally came back down to earth, her head lowering to look down at the witch under her, her normally dark eyes lightened to nearly gold. She smiled remembering what that meant and felt the brunette’s emotions deep inside of her, warming her even as she felt the cool air against her damp skin. She was still feeling the ticks and shudders of her release and frankly, she was willing never leave the bedroom again. Finally, she withdrew her hand, groaning under her breath when Raelin did the same. “I love you,” she said simply, knowing those words would never be enough to express how she felt.
“Je t’aime,” Raelin whispered.
Del smiled at the words and leaned down to kiss Raelin gently. “Your eyes are all light again,” she smiled, running her fingertips over Raelin’s brows.
“My eyes will probably change every time we make love, because we have so much energy when we are together.” Raelin brought Del’s hands down to her lips. “Can’t you feel it?”
“Oh yes, I feel it all over, but I especially feel it here,” the blonde repl
ied; pulling her hands back to rest Raelin’s against her chest. “It seems like every time we’re together like this it makes it easier for me to feel you, and not just your love either. It’s amazing; it makes me feel closer to you.”
Raelin smiled up at the blonde. “I’m glad that you can feel us. It is something that I had always hoped that I would be able to share with someone. Momma told me that when she was with my father, they both could feel the world,” shaking her head, Raelin’s face lost her smile.
Seeing Raelin’s smile dim, she gently rolled them over, only wincing a little when she pulled on her arm and wrapped her arms around the witch. “None of that Darlin’, I’ll find him for you, but you need to stay positive.”
Gazing down at her lover, Raelin smiled. “I know. I know that you will do your very best.”
“I don’t know how to do anything but,” she buried her face in Raelin’s neck, kissing and nibbling it, tasting the lingering saltiness of her sweat. “How long you think we have until Rori gets tired of waiting for breakfast?”
There was a light scratching on the door and both women could hear the familiar as he drolly stated. “I’m ready for breakfast now. If this is going to happen every morning, I’ll need an extra meal during the day.”
Leaning back, Raelin smiled at the blonde. “At least this time he scratched the door and not your back.”
“This is true, can’t say I am complaining though,” Del quipped. She sat up gently, rolling her shoulder and testing the joint. She winced when it ached, but overall it was getting better. Raelin had seen to that. Turning, she looked at the woman lying beside her, her eyes bright and a smile that lit up the room. “What you thinking for breakfast?”
Smiling up at her lover, Raelin murmured, “I would like the same thing that you had, but since a certain feline is hungry, I’ll make do with scrambled eggs and ham.”
Del laughed, leaning down to give Raelin a kiss before she got out of the bed to get dressed. Pulling on her favorite pair of jeans and a simple button up, leaving it untucked. “Is there anything you want to do today?”
Getting out of bed, the witch was quiet, as she got dressed. “I was thinking about going through some more of the boxes to see what else I can find, and we are getting short on groceries so I was thinking that I would run into town and restock our pantry.”
Del turned and smiled. “That’s a good idea. After breakfast, we can make a run in and grab some stuff. I’ll help you carry whatever you need out of the attic so you can go through it. While you do that, I can do more research into your father.”
“No, I don’t want you carrying anything for a while. Your shoulder isn’t quite yet healed, and I can run into town alone. I just want to get a few things.” Pulling on a pair of cargo shorts and a polo shirt, she looked younger than her thirty years.
Del gave her a good long appraisal, loving the way the outfit looked on her lover, before the words had sunk in. Snapping her eyes up from Raelin’s toned calves to her eyes; she frowned a little. “What do you mean run into town alone? There is no way I’m going to let you run off by yourself.”
“Del...I can’t let them intimidate me. All my life the people in this town has tried to either run me out or shun me completely, and I haven’t let them win. I’m not going to let them start now. I can’t believe that the whole town would just stand by and watch while someone dragged me away. I can take care of myself.” Raelin knew that she was being silly, but she wasn’t going to hide like a child.
“I know you don’t want to let them win, but that’s no excuse for stupidity. Raelin, this isn’t a matter of not letting them get to you, there is a legitimate threat to your safety here. They tried to kill you in front of a crowd of people no less. It’s not the same as them judging you because you’re a witch,” Del countered.
“What happens when all of this is over then and someone says something about me; am I supposed to run and hide? I can’t live like that...I won’t.” The witch walked out of the bedroom, past the waiting cat and headed downstairs to the kitchen to start breakfast. She understood what Del was saying, but she didn’t like that she had to monitor her movements just because some redneck idiots were feeling their manhood. She could take care of herself. Shaking her head, she began cracking some eggs.
Del stood there, staring blankly at the empty room for a minute, not quite able to process the fact that Raelin had just walked off the way she had. Eventually she was able to move and head down the stairs, and into the kitchen where she immediately served a scowl to the woman standing over the stove. “Oh that was real mature, stomping off when things don’t go your way,” she said, fixing Rori a bowl of chicken.
Turning around, Raelin was holding up a fork that she was using to whisk the eggs. “I did not stomp out of the room. I simply came downstairs to make breakfast. I understand where you are coming from, but I just don’t feel that anything will happen.”
“Do I dare ask what you two are yammering about?” The cat jumped up on his bench, eagerly waiting on his breakfast.
Turning back around to the eggs, Raelin muttered, “She thinks I need a bodyguard.”
“No, what I think is that it’s stupid for any of us to go wandering around town alone. I’d be saying the same thing even if Kasey wanted to go get the groceries. You’re a witch Raelin, not super human,” Del muttered, giving Rori his bowl, scratching his ears as she did.
Rori just watched his humans carefully. “I think Delaney is right child. It’s not safe for anyone to be alone anymore.”
“Why do you say that Rori? Have you heard anything in town?” Raelin glanced to the cat as she poured the eggs in the frying pan.
“Not too much, but people are getting restless Raelin. The arrest of the Chief has made everyone nervous and they all assume its Del’s fault since all the trouble started when she arrived. The news has spread about your association with her, and some of them agreed with the warning you were given. They believe you are partly to blame for the problems. Regina and AJ are the ringleaders from what I hear.” The cat was walking in circles, looking at his human.
“Rori, have you heard anything about the trafficking?” Del asked.
“No, and it’s not the entire town that’s upset. I think it’s just our baddies who want to turn the rest of them against us. They’re probably hoping to drive you both out of town,” he explained, finally munching on some chicken.
Carefully watching the eggs, the brunette glanced at the cat and then to her lover. “Why would Regina and AJ start something up? They are the ones that asked you to come here to find Jenny.”
“Yes, well they are smarter than we give them credit for. They are turning things around, making Delaney out to be the criminal. Blaming her for what happened with the Chief. Obviously, they’ve been speaking to the Reverend as well. They’ve been apologizing for bringing Delaney here, saying they only wanted to find the poor girl, that they didn’t know that Delaney would just make trouble instead,” Rori explained.
“The Chief did mention that they didn’t know their own people had found Jenny until after they called me. They probably thought I would start getting a little too close to the truth and now they figure they can run me out of town to get me off the trail,” Del spat, disgusted. “These people are a real piece of work.”
Scooping the eggs out onto some plates, Raelin turned back to the stove to fix the bacon. “What I want to know is how they found out that Del talked with Brito. I thought that you snuck in,” she turned back to look at the blonde.
“I don’t think they do know that Del talked to Brito. It’s my opinion they are just using the small town fear of outsiders to their advantage. Del is an outsider, trouble started when she showed up. Not to mention the town knows about your previous run ins with him,” he directed a small glare at Del. “You find trouble everywhere you go don’t you?”
Del just grinned. “It’s been known to happen.”
“Fine, so then with using the facts as you have presented
to me, it would actually be safer for me to go into town alone than with Del. She’s the one that everyone is upset about.” Raelin looked at her family, and smiled. “You made my case for me. Thank you.”
“Au Contraire, Kasey will be keeping an eye from a distance. If you won’t agree to that, I’ll arrange to have Jasper conveniently bump into you as old friends sometimes do in town.” Del smirked, leaning back in her chair.
“Absolutely not, Kasey will go. Jasper couldn’t protect you last time and I don’t want to chance something else happening,” Rori stated firmly, looking up from his dish.
“Kasey can’t go with me...she can’t even be seen with me remember. I’m not supposed to know her. Besides, the only reason Jasper couldn’t protect me last time is that we were in a confined space and we were surprised. This time we will be on our guard. So do you want juice, coffee, or milk?” Raelin tried for a subject change.
“Juice and I think I might be offended by the fact that you only have a problem if I’m the one going with you,” Del said, only half-joking.
Putting the plate in front of her detective, Raelin leaned over and gave her a kiss. “It isn’t. If you don’t want me to go in alone, I won’t, but I have no problem in trusting Jasper. I don’t want to start living scared.”
“Okay fine. I’ll agree to that, as long as you promise me you will be careful. Keep your eyes open and just get what you need and come home.” Del finally relented. She caught Raelin’s collar as the woman was standing and pulled her back for another kiss. “Thank you for breakfast.”
“Any time Darlin’, and just so you know. You get to clean up.” Raelin smiled against Del’s lips, with her eyes laughing.
