“Hey,” he suddenly said, snapping out of the haze. “You can talk.”

“You’re right.” My hips stilled as realization struck. Despite my many orgasms, my wings had stayed put.

“I’m glad,” Aaron murmured, looking over his shoulder at me. “I love the sounds you make.”

“It’s all thanks to you,” I said, giving him a quick peck on the lips before thrusting into him again. As I picked up the pace, he moaned, his head falling back against my chest. Everything was perfect. He was perfect. We were together again and I wanted to keep it that way. Forever.

“Will you marry me?” The question sounded spontaneous, but I was more sure of it than anything. I love Aaron and I want to spend the rest of my life with him. My hips stilled again as he lifted his head from my chest. With my dick still buried deep inside him, my boyfriend turned his head to look at me, his green eyes questing. My heart accelerated. In the heat of the moment, I’d been full of confidence. Now I was unsure. If I’d learned anything about Aaron in the past four months, it’s that he’s a pragmatist. Getting married at eighteen to someone you’ve only known a few months isn’t realistic. I held my breath waiting for him to shut me down. That’s fine. So long as we’re together, that’s all I need. Then, out of the silence came his response, barely audible over the sound of my beating heart.

  “Yes.”
