Carrie chuckled. “How about this? Since you are so convinced it’s a girl, you choose the girl’s name.”
“And you get to name Harry?”
“Seems fair to me.”
Devon sighed. “Okay.”
“Really?”
“Sure. Just don’t name him Anakin.”
“Promise.”
Devon closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She relaxed into Carrie’s embrace.
Carrie kissed the top of Devon’s head.
“I love you, Mrs. Brine,” Devon mumbled.
Carrie smiled. I like the sound of that. Harry Brine? That is truly awful! She chuckled. I’ll think of something. “I love you too, Devon. I love you too.”
