“Do you want to go by your place and change first?” he asked.

“Yeah. I don’t want to walk around the park in heels and a dress.”

“I wouldn’t mind watching,” he said with a smile. “Especially from behind.”

I rolled my eyes. “You’re lucky I lo—like you so much.”

  “I’m very lucky indeed.”

After we finished breakfast, we went by my apartment so I could get a new outfit.

“You know what you should wear?” he said.

  “What?” I asked. “Slutty lingerie?”

“Actually, I was going to say that sporty outfit you wore to the game, but that’s a much better idea. Do that.”

I laughed then walked into my room. I put on a white t-shirt and jean shorts.

Kyle eyed me in approval. “I like it.”

  “It’s just a shirt.”

“But you look hot in it.” His hands went to my hips and he held them there for a moment. I had a V-neck in the front and he looked down, blatantly staring.

  “You like what you see?”

His gaze moved to my face, completely absent of embarrassment. “I’ve been thinking about them since I first snuck a glance at the bar.”

  “I knew you were looking.”

“I wasn’t trying to hide it,” he said with a smile.

“I knew you were a pervert.”

“I’m definitely a pervert for you. While I respect you and think you’re an amazing, strong woman, I also think you are…damn fine.”

  “Me?”

  He nodded vigorously.

“But you’re so much hotter than I am.”

He smiled. “You think I’m hot?”

  “Duh.”

“I like this new side of you. These compliments are making my day.”

“Well, expect more to come. I definitely think you’re the most amazing man I’ve ever met.”

His eyes widened. His hands remained on my waist and he squeezed me gently. He seemed to be at a loss of words. “That’s…the best compliment I’ve ever gotten.”

“You protected me when you didn’t have to. I feel safe with you. I’ve never felt that way before. For the longest time, I felt like I had to always look over my shoulder, watching my back. I couldn’t trust anyone and everyone, but with you…I feel different.”

“I’ll always protect you,” he whispered. “Thank you for letting me. I know that’s difficult for you.”

  I nodded. “It is.”

“This day is just getting better and better.”

I pressed my face against his chest and held him for a moment. Kyle stilled at my affection then returned the embrace. I knew he was surprised by my neediness and attention. Now that I realized how much he meant to be, I was desperate for him all the time.

He pulled away. “You ready to go to the park?”

  I nodded.

Kyle grabbed his backpack and shoved waters and a blanket inside. We left the apartment and walked to Central Park. The sun was shining on the spring day and it was warm. The bees hovered over the flowers and the moisture from the winter season was dissipating. We walked down the path until we found a secluded spot in the shade of a tree. He laid out the blanket and we sat together, looking at the kids playing football in the distance.

“So, what did you do for the past two weeks?” he asked quietly.

I shrugged. “I watched a lot of TV. What did you do?”

“I went to the gym a lot. It gets my frustration out.”

I looked at the grass below my feet, seeing a single dandelion sway in the slight breeze.

“John didn’t bother you, right? It didn’t seem like anyone came by.”

I raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean by that?”

He looked away. “I paid your neighbor to keep an eye on you. I told him to call me every time someone came over. He said no one ever did.”

“So you were still watching out for me this entire time?”

“I walked you home every day. You just didn’t see me.”

I looked at his face, seeing the sadness in his eyes. “You’re so sweet, Kyle.”

He breathed a sigh of relief. “I was afraid you would be mad.”

  “Not at all.”

“I didn’t know what else to do. I just couldn’t not know if you were okay. It just drives me insane, keeps me up at night.”

“Well, nothing has happened to me. I think John is gone. I doubt he’ll come back after the brawl you two had.”

“I’d rather be safe than sorry. I want you to get a gun.”

  “Absolutely not.”

He glared at me. “This is serious, Layla. I want you to be able to protect yourself.”

  “I can. I have a tazer.”

“That’s only going to work if you catch him off guard. It’s totally legal. All you need is a license.”

  “I said no, Kyle.”

  He sighed.

“I’m sorry. I don’t believe in gun violence. I refuse to do it.”

  “Do you know self-defense?”

“You saw me take out that guy at the bar,” I said with a smile.

“Then why don’t you use it on him?”

“I—I don’t know. I always play the victim when I’m with him. It’s programmed into my brain.”

“Let me teach you a few things.”

  “You know how to fight?”

“You saw me almost kick his ass, didn’t you?” he said with a smile.

“I guess you could teach me. I always want to learn new things.”

“Good. Now I have a reason to tackle you and climb on top of you.”

  “You don’t need a reason,” I said.

He looked at me, excitement in his eyes. Kyle leaned close to my face, his breath falling on my skin. His hand moved to my thigh then gripped it, making me feel warm. When he leaned closer to me, his nose touched mine. Kyle made a quiet moaning sound before he moved in.

His lips pressed against mine, sending a shiver down my back. Kyle moved his hand to my waist and slid his hand under my shirt. His palm felt warm against my skin. My breath became uneven as he moved is lips against mine, caressing me and kissing me gently. The burn between my legs returned, making me shake slightly.

Kyle guided me to the blanket then moved on top of me slightly. My desire for him kicked in and I kissed him passionately, running my fingers through his hair and down his back. One hand moved in under his shirt and I felt the grooves of his stomach and his chest. I squeezed my thighs together as I melted at the touch. A moan escaped my lips, feeling the hormones raging. He smiled for a moment while he kissed me, enjoying my appraisal of his body. When he moved further on top of me, I felt his erection against my leg. It felt thick and long. The thought made me shiver again.

Our gentle kisses turned sexual within minutes. He devoured my mouth, breathing heavily, while his hand moved up my shirt. He never grabbed my breasts, but he ran his fingers along my ribs and my stomach. His sexy body made me out of control so I grabbed his hand and moved it under my bra, making him squeeze my tit.

He moaned into my mouth quietly then groped me gently. “You have nice tits,” he said into my mouth.

My hand moved against his erection in his jeans. “You have a nice cock.”

He moaned against then pressed against me harder.

Sexual thoughts entered my mind and I imagined him lying on top of me, his chest towering over me as he moved inside. My nails dug into his skin harder than I meant to, and I started to pant for him, wanting more than just the distant touch of our bodies. Kyle was the sexist man I’d ever been with and I wanted to take him right there in the park.

Kyle moved his hand away from my breast then trailed down my stomach until it moved into my shorts. His fingers touched the outside of my underwear, exploring. He broke our kiss and looked around, making sure no one was near. Then he stared into my eyes as he pressed his thumb against my clitoris and rubbed it in a circular motion. He slipped two fingers inside and
practically made me scream.

I grabbed his face and pulled his mouth to mine, kissing him again. He tasted sweet, like the syrup we had on our waffles. His fingers moved inside me gently while his thumb worked my clitoris. I gripped onto him tighter while the pleasure pooled into my stomach. It moved down to my center and ignited, making me grab him harshly and pull him toward me.

“Yeah…yeah,” I said into his ear.

He kept moving, making it last as long as possible.

  “Kyle…”

“I like it when you say my name.”

  “Kyle.”

When the heat between my legs started to dissipate, he pulled his fingers out of my underwear and licked them.

  “You taste sweet.”

I moaned again, feeling my head spin.

He cupped my face and kissed me gently. “You’re unbelievably sexy. I thought I was going to come in my underwear like a teenager.”

“Let’s go home,” I said quickly.”

  “Why? We just got here.”

I pressed my hand against his erection. “It’s your turn. No one is around, but…that would be hard to hide if someone snuck up on us.”

His eyes became heated. “It can wait. I like spending time with you.”

“I want to. I’ve never wanted to more in my life. Now let me.”

He moaned quietly. “If I wasn’t so horny for you, I’d say no.”

“Well, you are. You want to cum or not?”

Kyle stared at me for a moment before he rose to his feet and pulled me to stand. He packed our belongings then held my hand as we walked back to the apartment. Nothing was said on the return. When we walked into the apartment, he dropped the backpack on the ground then pushed me against the closed door, grabbing my face and kissing me passionately. I was on fire all over again as soon as we touched.

I grabbed his shirt then pulled it over his head. When I saw his naked chest, which I had wanted to see for a long time, I gasped.

He smiled at me, pleased with the response. Kyle kissed my neck and shoulder while I felt his body with my hands, admiring the feel and structure of his chiseled body.

“You’re so fucking hot,” I said between heavy breaths.

“I can’t wait to see you. Just the idea makes my cock throb.” He picked me up then carried me to his bedroom while he kissed me. I felt him lay me on the bed while he moved over me. I unbuttoned his jeans and pulled them off then pulled down his boxers. His long dick sprung out as the fabric was pulled away. It twitched while I looked at it. The vein in the base was large and his head was thick. The length was impressive.

“He’s beautiful,” I whispered as I grabbed it.

He stared at me, watching my hand.

I squeezed him then rubbed my thumb over the tip, watching the fluid come out. I leaned down then gently pressed my lips on the tip, kissing him.

He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

I licked my tongue across and that made him breathe again.

  “Oh…yeah.”

I pulled him to the bed so he was lying on his back. Then I crawled on top of him then lowered my mouth to his tip. Kyle grabbed my hair and fisted it, keeping it away from my face. I licked him again before I put him in my mouth.

“Have you ever sixty-nined before?” he asked.

I pulled his cock out then licked the tip. “No.”

“I want to kiss you too.” He sat up then pulled off my shorts and underwear. I didn’t stop him because I wanted to feel his tongue move inside me. “Come here.”

I moved my bottom toward his head and he guided me with his hands. When I pressed the tip into my mouth, I felt his tongue caress my folds, being gentle and loving. I went down on him and pushed his cock hallway into my mouth. I couldn’t go further than that without choking myself. His fingers rubbed my clitoris while he ate me out, sliding his tongue inside. I used my hand to massage him while I took him down my throat, but then his touch would feel so good that I would have to stop.

“I’m about to cum,” he said. “Join me.”

I licked his head then continued at the same pace, shoving him into the back of my throat. His tongue danced across my folds until I felt the familiar explosion inside. I paused for a moment, feeling the momentum rock through me, before I continued to lick and suck him. I moaned while I took him into my mouth and I felt him release inside me, spraying everywhere. I swallowed it while I climaxed. When I was done, I felt winded and exhausted. I moved off of him then lied on the bed, closing my eyes.

Kyle pulled me to his chest and rested my head on the pillow. His fingers glided through my hair then down my shoulder. “How was that for you?”

  “Oh…yum.”

He smiled. “I liked it too—a lot.”

“You can do a lot with your tongue.”

“Thank you. I enjoy tasting you.” He rubbed his nose into my hair then took a deep breath. “So much for a first date.”

“That wasn’t a first date. That was like our tenth date.”

“We still jumped into bed pretty quick.”

“Two months is long enough,” I said with a happy sigh.

He smiled. “I just don’t want to pressure you.”

“You aren’t,” I said as I held him. “I want to cum like that every day.”

He laughed. “I’ll make sure it happens.”

  “I’m holding you to that.”

“All you have to do is call. Put me on your speed dial.”

“And I want one on my lunch break too.”

“That would be so hot,” he said as he hugged me.

“I want you to fuck me on your desk every morning.”

His eyes shined a brighter shade. “I would love to. But it’ll have to wait.”

  “What will?”

  “The sex.”

“What? No, I’m not waiting,” I said, looking at him.

  “Wow. Talk about a 180.”

“We’re happy together and we lo—like each other a lot. We’ve known each other for a while and we trust each other. There’s no reason to wait.”

He rubbed his nose against mine. “I just think we should take it slow. I love doing everything else with you.”

“Why are you being such a prude?”

Kyle laughed. “Thanks for being so understanding about it.”

I rolled my eyes. “You gave me a bite of your ice cream and now I want the whole cone.”

“I’ll give you the whole cone, baby. But let’s just wait a while.”

“I hate you,” I said with a sigh.

“Tell me that next time I’m making you come.”

I pulled the sheets around me and snuggled next to him. “I don’t hate you. I’m sorry if I’m being pushy.”

“It’s okay. I like it when you’re pushy. Knowing you want me is a major turn on.”

“We should have sex in front of Taylor,” I said.

“I wouldn’t mind that in the least.”

“Now that you’re my boyfriend, you can’t rip his head off.”

“I was always your boyfriend and I didn’t kill him.”

“Well, keep up the good work,” I said.

“So, we’ll start telling people at work.”

  “Why?”

“If it’s out in the open, everyone will just accept it. If it’s a secret that somehow gets revealed, then everyone will start talking about it.”

“Aren’t you afraid you’ll get in trouble?” I asked.

  “Why would I?’

“Won’t it seem like you hired me just because you were sleeping with me or because you wanted to sleep with me?”

“I don’t care if that’s what people assume.”

“Well, if you’re okay with it, then I guess I’m okay with it too.”

He looked at the clock and sighed. “Where’d the time go?”

“It always seems to disappear when we’re together.”

“We should be together at work, then,” he said with a laugh.

  “T
hat would be fun.”

“So…I want to ask you something.”

I didn’t like the hesitance in his voice. He was usually assertive and calm. “What?”

“Well, my brother is getting married and I would love it if you came as my date. But, if you’re weirded out by that, I totally understand.”

“Why would that freak me out?”

“Because you’d be meeting my family.”

  “Oh.”

  “So, you wanna come?”

  “Of course.”

  “Really?”

  “Why wouldn’t I?”

He smiled and breathed a sigh of relief.

“Let me get this straight. We’re serious enough to meet your family, but not have sex?”

Kyle kissed my neck then my chin. “Just be patient.”

  “Whatever. When’s the wedding?”

  “This weekend.”

  “Wow. That’s short notice.”

“I wanted to ask you weeks ago but you decided to dump me instead,” he snapped.

Now I felt guilty. “Is it in the city?”

“Yeah. It’ll be small. In the meantime, my family is going out to dinner tonight. I would really like it if you came.”

“Tonight? Like, in a few hours?”

“You don’t have to. I just wanted them to meet you.”

“What am I going to wear?”

He laughed. “I have two brothers who don’t care in the least, and a sister who gets along with everyone. You could wear a turtle suit and still fit in.”

  “I’m nervous…”

  “Don’t be. They’ll love you.”

  “Okay.”

“Which brings me to the next discussion…”

“How many bombs are you going to drop on me today?”

He sighed. “This is the last one. Um, I don’t know how to say this, so I’m just going to be honest about it. When you meet my family, they are going to be shocked.”

  “Why?”

“Because I’ve never had a serious girlfriend before.”

  “You haven’t?

  “No.”

  “Why?”

Kyle averted his gaze and looked uncomfortable. “Because I prefer sleeping around, never having a meaningful relationship, and just being single. I’ve slept with more woman than I can count, and I’m the guy your dad absolutely hates.” He fell silent and stared at the wall.

“So my initial impression of you was dead-on.”

  “Exactly.”
