by Simone Elise

She slowly turned around. “You weren’t meant to see that. Ever.”

I just stared at her, watching her frown up at me, my hand still frozen on her hip. When had she gotten it? Before we broke up or after? Did she regret it?

“Before you even ask, I got it last month.” She looked down at the ground. “Sorry for not getting your permission. You weren’t ever meant to see it.”

She was worried I’d be pissed about her not getting my permission? I had one question. My hand left her hip and I gently lifted her head up. Doubt was swirling around those blue orbs of hers.

  “Why?”

“Because it seemed like the right thing to do.”

She said last month. She was with Daniels then. Which meant he knew she had my name tattooed on her. She had gotten it when she was with him. Didn’t that say something?

“You…um…you were with your boyfriend then. Didn’t you stop to think? You said we couldn’t be together.” I was so confused and my words were failing me.

“It’s a tattoo, not a big deal. You’ve got my name.” She left my grip and headed for the bed, sitting on the edge. She was shrugging this off like it wasn’t a big deal?

  It was a huge deal.

“I’ve got your name because I love you. Always will. You’re going to be the mother to my kid. My tattoo makes sense. Yours doesn’t.”

Her hand went over her stomach and she looked up. “I told you a long time ago I loved you unconditionally.”

Yeah, I remembered. It was the day I put those men in the ground and was reconsidering my loyalty to the club. She said she loved me unconditionally, and I said I loved the club unconditionally.

The fact that since she said it, we had faced numerous threats, been ripped apart and she had broken up with me, all didn’t seem to matter. All that mattered was my name was on her shoulder forever.

“Doesn’t really matter anymore, I guess. It was a long time ago.” She fell back on the bed. “You were meant to be the love of my life and I really stuffed that up.” It was like she was speaking to herself. “Can you get the lights? I can’t be bothered getting back up.”

Didn’t think it through. Didn’t give a fuck she was with another man. All I wanted was her. All I needed was her. I had to feel her. I had to hear her call out my name again. I had watched her slowly disappear from the club.

Now she was within reach. I was going to hold on to her for dear life. I was going to make her see that we were timeless. I was going to force her to see I still was the love of her life.

She had my name on her shoulder. My name.

Her eyes went wide as I picked her up, moving her from the edge of the bed till she was in the middle.

“Kade, what are you doing?” Her hands were on my shoulders, but she wasn’t pushing me away. I placed her back down, slowly. Enjoying holding her too much.

I knew every inch of her body. I had explored it so many times. I was addicted to the curves and dips of her skin. I moved in between her legs, and she didn’t even fight me. I slowly kissed up her stomach where my son or daughter was growing, then across her cleavage. I heard her take an unsteady breath in as I kissed across her collarbone.

  “Kade, what are you doing?”

“Reminding you.” I locked my lips at the base of her neck, sucking, and while I should be happy that she had my name tattooed on her shoulder, it wasn’t enough for me. I wanted to leave a physical mark on her tonight. I wanted her to look in the mirror and struggle to fight how she really felt about me.

I wanted her to want me over him.

  “Of?” She was breathless.

I looked into her blue orbs. God, they always had me. Pulled me in. Didn’t she know the power she had over me? One look from her and I was ready to beg.

“Us.” I kissed her lips, they were as sweet as I remembered, possibly even sweeter. But she didn’t kiss me back, which had me pulling back. Did she want me to stop? Of course she wanted me to stop. She has a fucking boyfriend.

My arms were taking my weight as I hovered over her, and I was pulling myself up, coming to terms that she simply wasn’t mine anymore. She had another man. Wanted another body in my position right now. This was the last thing she wanted. Just because she had my name tattooed on her didn’t mean she was coming back to me.

She was never coming back to me.

She must have realized what I was doing because suddenly her hands locked around my neck and she pulled herself off the bed and into my chest, kissing my lips. I took her weight easily as she pulled on me. This time she was kissing me. Like I had been driving her insane.

  I smirked against her lips.

“Stop smirking and kiss me back,” she told me off against my lips.

“Never thought I’d hear you say that.”

“Are you going to make me beg?” She fell back onto the bed, her hair fanning across the pillow. Pursing her lips looking up at me. Giving me a look I had missed. The look that told me she was going to get her way, and she didn’t care what she had to do to get it.

“Maybe.” I nipped her bottom lip with my teeth.

  She groaned. “Kade.”

I didn’t need to hear her beg. I wanted to please her. I wanted to give her everything. I wanted this night to change her mind. So she got her wish. I kissed her. But as soon as my lips touched hers, she went crazy, biting my bottom lip and forcing her tongue in.

Her hands went to my belt and before I knew it, she was pushing my pants down with her hands.

“In a hurry, are we?” I drew back, needing to get my breath. But I couldn’t keep my mouth off her, kissing down her neck.

“I feel like I’ve been pregnant and horny for months.” She gasped as I ran my hand over her breast.

“What, your boyfriend not filling your needs?” My hands went behind her back and I unclipped her bra. What I said made her freeze. Her hands stopped pushing down my pants and she lay still. “What’s wrong?” I pulled back to look at her.

Why were her eyes so wide?

“You didn’t think,” she shook her head, like it was impossible, “that I was having sex with Daniels, did you?”

“He’s your boyfriend.” I gritted out the word boyfriend. Why did she make me keep saying it? Every time the fact I was reminded she had a boyfriend, it disgusted me. Made me want to punch something. More like someone. Him.

Why was she looking at me with such wide eyes?

“I haven’t had sex with him.”

“But I saw you tonight, you two were-”

“We’re kissing. That’s it. You stopped it from going further.” She closed her eyes. “Thank god.” Her face melted in relief. Her eyes fluttered back open and she stared up at me. “Like I said, I’ve been pregnant and horny for months. Tonight I was getting desperate.”

Thank Christ I wanted that beer. If she hadn’t had sex with him, that meant I could stop her from taking the next step with him. I would rather be her man on the side than nothing.

“From now on, when you’re horny, you come to me. Understand?” I wasn’t asking it of her. I was demanding it of her. If I could stop her from taking the next step with him, then I would. I was greedy. I wanted her. And if I could only have her in my bed, then I would settle, for now, till I could have all of her.

“I don’t expect you to do that for me.”

  “Well, break up with him.”

  “I can’t.”

Why couldn’t she? What was keeping them together? “Do you love him?” Is that what was keeping her from me? Her love for him? Why couldn’t she love me like that? Why couldn’t she just want to be with me? Like I wanted to be with her.

I wanted to raise this child with her. I wanted her. All of her. And I really wanted to know what was keeping her with this man.

“No.” Her fingers ran across my cheek and she bit her bottom lip. Like she was about to share something with me that she wasn’t sure if she should or not. “I’ve only ever loved you.”

  The words left her lips
and my control was lost. I ripped her black lace panties off. She gasped as I thrust into her.

“Say that again.” I thrust harder into her, making her arch her back and her breasts press into my chest.

  “I’ve only ever loved you.”

I nipped her breast with my mouth. “Who do you belong to?” I threw her legs around my shoulders and went in deeper. God, she felt good. Her mouth dropped open and her grip on my arms tightened.

  “Who do you belong to?”

Her nails dug into my skin, telling me I was giving her exactly what she needed. “You,” she gasped. “You, Kade.”

  Chapter 15

  Abby

Every wall I had up. Every defense I had was gone. I was opening up to him willingly. Letting him see me. Letting him get close. Every reason I had for keeping him away disappeared as soon as I saw the hurt expression on his face, when he asked if I loved Daniels. I couldn’t stop myself from answering with the truth.

“Who do you belong to?” He threw my legs over his shoulders, as if he knew that I needed him deeper.

My mouth dropped open as he pushed even deeper into me. Thrusting at such a speed, it was making all thoughts leave my head. I couldn’t focus on anything but give into the feelings as he pushed deeper into me.

“Who do you belong to?” he growled.

Right, he was asking me something. I gripped his arms, needing to hold onto him. “You.” I gripped tighter. “You, Kade.” Is that what he needed to hear? That I still belonged to him? God, didn’t he already know that? I had his name tattooed on my shoulder, didn’t that prove I was his?

Even when he didn’t want me, I was still his. When I was fighting it with all my power, at the end of the day I was still his.

He started pumping into me faster, my arms locked around his neck, and he lifted me off the bed. Pounding up into me.

“Yours.” I threw my head back, “Completely and totally yours.”

He groaned and started fucking me harder. I met every one of his thrusts. Did he want me to lose my mind? Because I had lost it as soon as he entered me.

I barely heard the knock on my door. I was so consumed with him.

  “Abby, you in there?”

Dad? You had to be kidding me!

I went still and Kade slowed. I opened my eyes. Please go away.

“Abby?” There was another knock on the door.

Then suddenly Kade thought it would be funny to thrust hard into me, causing me to gasp. Amusement lit up his face.

  “Don’t.” I whisper-yelled up at him.

  “Abby, I’m coming in.”

Terror flooded me. And I scrambled from his arms, but he held on to my hips, not breaking our connection.

“I’m not letting Dad see you fucking me.” I pushed on him harder, but he laughed lightly, kissing my forehead.

I watched the doorknob twist, and relief flooded me when it didn’t open.

“It’s locked, babe,” Kade whispered in my ear with the biggest smirk on his face.

“You’re an awful person.” I grumbled and fell back on the bed. “Just for that, I’m not having sex with you anymore.”

Now that smirk dropped from his face, and it was my turn to smirk at him. I leaned up on my elbows, whispering into his ear. “Just kidding.”

He thrust into me, making the smirk drop from my face. “Still want to keep playing games with me?” he challenged me.

There was only one game I wanted to play. “Make me moan your name.” I ran my hand over his ripped chest. “Make me come.” God, I wanted him to. I needed to. I needed the release. And as he started to pound into me again, I knew that was exactly what he was going to do.

  Reaper

She was sound asleep. I knew she said she was tired, but I didn’t expect her to sleep as late as she was. Couldn’t pull myself out of her bed either. I was using the excuse that if I moved, I’d wake her. Her and my baby needed sleep.

She was asleep on my arm. I ran my hand down her side, and she pushed back into me. I liked the way she did that. Like having me here was helping her sleep. My hand stopped on her stomach. On the life she was creating. The life I had put there.

It was impossible to love anyone this much, wasn’t it?

I was willing to let her be with him if that made her happy. But she didn’t seem happy. She told me she didn’t love him. So something else was keeping her connected to him, and I was going to find out what that was and break it.

If Daniels was some dead weight she was being forced to keep around, I’d find a way to get rid of him.

After all, she said she didn’t love him.

  She said she loved me.

So what was keeping her from me? From us bringing this kid up together?

Her phone started ringing on her bedside table and I cursed. The last thing I wanted was for her to be forced to wake up. I reached over her to turn it off, but it was already too late. She stirred in my arms.

“What time is it?” she said half asleep, yawning.

“Doesn’t matter, go back to sleep.” I kissed her cheek, silencing her phone.

“It does matter. I have to be somewhere at ten.”

“Hate to tell you this babe, but it’s after one.”

She sprang up in bed. “You’re joking, right?”

  “Nope.”

“Why the hell did you let me sleep so long? And why are you still in bed?” She threw the blankets back but after one glance at her naked body, there was no way I was letting her leave this bed. So I dragged her back.

“What’s the rush?” I kissed up her neck. “I know a better way we can spend the afternoon.” Now I had her, I never wanted to let her go.

  “Reaper.” She groaned.

  “You normally call me Kade.”

“Fine. Kade. I have to get up.” She pulled my head from her neck, looking into my eyes. “Like I was meant to be somewhere three hours ago. I wonder why he hasn’t called me.” She frowned and got out of my grasp.

“Where is more important than here?”

“I have to get all this shit dropped off.” She waved around the room. “I was meant to be borrowing the van this morning. Brad is going to be pissed that I’m taking it this afternoon.” She pulled on a pair of shorts. “I arranged it for this morning. God, I don’t know why I slept so much.”

  “Because you needed it.”

“I swear I haven’t slept that much in like-” she frowned. “Actually, I don’t remember the last time I had a good night’s sleep.”

I threw the blankets back and got up, handing her a bra. “Well from now on, you sleep with me.”

She shook her head. “I’m still with Daniels.”

“I don’t care about him.” I was lying. I cared a fuck load about him. I wanted him dead. “During the night, you’re with me.”

“You actually want to be my man on the side?” She looked at me, amazed. “Why?”

“Because,” I pulled her into my arms. “I want you sleeping. I want you resting, but most of all, I want you. Even if I only get you at night, that’s better than nothing. Now are you going to tell me why you can’t break up with this prick?”

She pulled away from me. “I have to go.”

“Does anyone know why you’re with him?”

  She shook her head.

“So you haven’t told your dad or Kim?”

  “No.”

  “Well, will you tell me?”

“You are the last person on earth I’m going to tell. I have to be with him, that’s all I can tell you.”

“So you are being forced to be with him?”

“Kade, I can’t have this conversation with you! Last night was great, but that’s all I can give you. I can’t be in a relationship with you and you are just going to have to trust me that I have reasons why not.”

I wouldn’t accept that as an answer. She didn’t love him. Yet she was with him. It was like it was business or something. Fine, she wouldn’t tell me. She wouldn’t tell Kim, and s
he won’t tell her dad. Then I’d just have put someone in her face she couldn’t say no to.

“I’ll help you load this shit into the van.” I changed the subject. I had failed at getting answers out of her. But I knew one person who was just as good at getting answers out of Abby, someone she normally always opened up to.

  “You don’t have to, Kade.”

“I’m not having you carry all this shit.”

“I’m not used to someone caring about what I do.” She sighed and threaded her bra on. I reached behind her, clipping it on. I enjoyed it more taking it off. Her hands ran down my arms and she took a shaky breath in.

“I’ve always cared, Abby. Whether you have a boyfriend or not.” She was still mine. She just didn’t know it. But she had admitted it last night and as far as I was concerned, I was going to be making her admit it every night. Hearing her say she was still mine was the only thing stopping me from not falling back into the insanity I had been feeling since she broke up with me.

I’d have her during the night. Every night.

I pulled my phone out. She started searching the floor for a top. I dialed Brad’s number and I walked into her wardrobe and searched the hanging tops till I found one I wanted.

  “Yeah, Reaper?”

“Brad. Can you come up to Abby’s room and help? She’s got a shit load of guns to deliver.”

“Guessing she still needs the van then?”

“Yeah, she does.” I walked back into her room and threw the top at her. She caught it, frowning as she held it up. “I need that lift too.”

  “Righto, I’m coming.”

  I hung up.

“Why did you give me this?” Abby held the racer tank top out. “You do realize I can’t wear this.”

  “You’re still tiny, Abby.”

She narrowed her eyes. “I was talking about my tattoo. If I wear this, everyone will see it.”

I smirked, walking toward her. “That’s the point, babe.”

“You want me to show it off?”

I nodded my head. “I want everyone to see who you belong to.” I pulled her into my arms, “Especially that boyfriend of yours.”
