“Daddy!” Our daughter, Jenny, screeches from the front porch when she sees me pull up and comes running down the steps. Tim, our son, isn’t far behind, but he’s just 2.5, so he has to take the steps a little slower.
Through the kitchen window I can see my wife standing at the sink, getting dinner ready, and I wave.
“We waited all day to see you, Daddy! Did you have a fun day at work?” Jenny grabs my leg and I pick her up, reaching for Tim’s hand when he reaches me.
“It was a wonderful day,” I tell her. “What have you guys been up to?”
“Mommy’s making dinner.” Tim stares up at me in awe as we walk up the sidewalk. “Big surprise.”
“Timmy! You aren’t supposed to say anything!” Jenny admonishes him, her little arms still tight around my neck. “Mommy said that she wanted to be the one to tell him.”
“Tell me what?” I carry Jenny up the stairs, waiting while Tim takes his time with each step.
“New baby.” Tim looks up at me and then back down at his feet, concentrating hard.
“Timmy!” Jenny wiggles out of my arms and grabs her little brother, practically dragging him the rest of the way up the stairs. “You’re a terrible secret keeper!”
A new baby? I look up at the window, but Elle has moved from in front of it. My stomach flips as I imagine another kid in the house.
A boy or a girl? Either way, I honestly don’t care. The thought of having more kids with Elle is enough to make me feel giddy. My steps are lighter as I make it to the porch.
Elle meets me at the door, a shy smile on her face. “Tim spilled the beans, huh?”
For a moment, I can’t speak. All I want to do is look at my wife. She’s just as gorgeous as she was when I first saw her in high school. I’ve learned to love every freckle she has and to appreciate just how different she is from the ghosts in my past.
“He did. Did you have something special planned to tell me?” I slide my hands around her waist and pull her towards me so that she’s pressed up against me.
She shakes her head. “Just a big cake for dessert. It was Jenny’s idea that we try to surprise you, but Tim…”
“Is still too young to keep secrets?” Elle nods and leans up to kiss me.
“Happy?” When she pulls back, I can see the worry on her face.
“Thrilled.” I kiss her again, this time harder, my hand sliding around to her back to pull her closer. She leans into me, letting me support her as I reach down and grab her ass.
“Clay,” she whispers, pulling back a little. Her voice is low and throaty, and I feel myself respond. There’s something undeniably sexy about my wife, and I love exploring every inch of her body.
“What are you guys doing?” Jenny appears behind Elle and I let her go, my fingers tracing across her hips as she steps back.
“Just talking about the good news.” Elle grins at her then reaches back for my hand. “What do you think, Jenny? Brother or a sister?”
“Sister, I hope. You’ll never believe what Tim’s doing.”
I have no idea what my son’s doing right now, and I honestly don’t care. There’s nothing that could possibly ruin my mood. I have Elle, the kids, a job I love. I don’t deserve any of it.
It’s always been Elle. Even when I wanted to destroy her for who she was and who she looked like, it’s been her. Fuck.
Jenny runs off down the hall laughing and I pull Elle towards me, pressing my hard cock into her side.
“You have something on your mind?” Elle turns to me, reaching down and gently stroking me through my pants. I hiss at her touch and pull her closer, needing to feel her whole body pressed up against me.
“Just how lucky I am.”
“Yeah? And how lucky are you?” Elle trails her lips along my neck, nibbling and kissing me. All of my nerves are screaming and I don’t want her to stop.
“Pretty damn lucky. But you’ll be luckier later.”
“Mmhmm? Tell me why.” She has her hands in my hair, her mouth close to mine. I can feel her breath on my skin.
“Because I’m going to fuck you later. I’m going to make you scream, Elle, just like I did the first time.”
It’s always been Elle, and it will always be here. I know that with every fiber of my body.
“Threat or a promise?” She pulls back a little to look at me.
“Both. It’s both.”
“My vindictive man, you know how to hold a grudge, don’t you?”
I went from wanting to kill Elle to wanting to protect her. Now I still want to destroy her, but just in bed. She needs to know that she’s mine, only mine, and I show her that every day.
“I know how to make my wife come,” I tell her. “I know how to make you get on your knees and worship you. I know everything about you, Elle, and I love it.”
