The Rockford Pack Page 10

When she gave his cock a firm squeeze, his control shattered. He opened his door, leapt up to his knees, and grabbed Nova’s leg as he slid her underneath him in one swift movement.

“Corbin’s not going to like this,” said Scott.

He ignored his packmate and went for her neck, licking and suckling her pulse points as he braced himself on one elbow. As he trailed kisses higher, he used his free hand to unbutton his pants, releasing his cock from its confines.

“Bray…” She moaned, writhing beneath him.

His name coming out of her was music to his ears. When he reached her lips, he hesitated briefly, staring into her hooded green eyes. She leaned up and captured his lips, pulling his head lower. He kissed her back, hard and deep, an intense surge of passion taking him by surprise. This was so much more than sex. It was everything, as if his life before today was meaningless in comparison.

As they kissed, binding themselves to each other, he reached under her shirt and cupped her breast, kneading the supple flesh in his palm. “You’re soft. So soft.”

She twisted under him, grinding against his erection. The mewling sounds she made as he touched her traveled straight to his cock. There could be no more waiting at this point. He yanked her pants down past her hips and freed one of her legs, enough for him to join them skin to skin. Her pussy felt hot against his hip as he positioned himself better, her ripeness the most addicting of scents.

This might not be the fairy tale she envisioned, but he’d fuck her better than any white knight. Bray grabbed the root of his dick and briefly swirled the thick head in her overflow of juices. Then he sank in deep, filling her perfect little pussy full of his cock. He growled once inside her, his claws doing a number on the upholstery. It was a constant battle to let go and hold back in perfect balance. He didn’t want to hurt her, but he had to take her.

  “You’re so big,” she moaned.

“I’m yours, little human. My dick belongs to you.”

  “Yes…”

He fucked her with restrained enthusiasm, proud that he’d been able to maintain enough control to keep her safe. But he planned to enjoy her. Bray hooked his arms under her shoulders and began to piston in and out of her hot cunt. He found her lips again, kissing, tasting, consuming.

“Tell me you like my dick inside you, baby girl.”

  “I love it,” she said.

“Say it,” he said. “Tell me what you want.” The entire time he fucked her faster, harder, his orgasm hanging on a precipice.

“I want your big dick filling me.”

Her pussy tightened around his cock, her fingernails scraping along his shoulders. Having Nova under him was perfection, her skin hot, her scent addicting. She cried out as she orgasmed, her pussy pulsing, drawing out his own release. The moment he filled her with his essence, she was his, marked and mated. His canines were still elongated, but Corbin would have his balls if he completed the bond without the pack. He held back, focused on his breathing and calming his beast.

Before pulling away, he whispered in her ear. “You’re mine now, Nova.”

  Chapter Thirteen

Nova struggled to catch her breath. These men were unreal, taking her to paradise with one touch, one look. They sated her in ways she’d only fantasized about. And she only wanted more.

Bray hoisted his strong, muscled frame off her body. Even flaccid, his cock hung impressively. In the heat of the moment, she’d had zero reservations. Now her vulnerabilities seeped in, and she wondered if his words were real or if he thought she was cheap for having sex with a virtual stranger. After sitting up, she looked over at him, afraid of what she’d find.

His eyes were dark and focused, staring at her with a feral intensity.

She swallowed hard. “That wasn’t like me,” she said. Were her cheeks as red as they felt?

“Why not? I thought you liked my big dick filling you.”

Yes, she’d said that. She’d loved every minute of what they’d shared. Did Bray feel the same way? “I guess I did say that,” she said.

“Good, because the pack will be claiming you soon.”

  “The pack?”

Bray glanced to the backseat, and she followed his gaze. Scott was gone. It was only then that she realized he’d been sitting there watching Bray fuck her. Nova’s humiliation grew ten-fold.

“Shit,” he said, slipping out of the vehicle.

Nova pulled up her pants and hobbled out the passenger side. The silence of the forest soothed her, only the rhythmic sounds of insects and birds in the branches above. She heard Bray’s footsteps as she walked to the back of the truck. That was when a wolf turned the corner, staring directly at her. She froze, a sharp rush of adrenaline surging through her veins. Her first reaction was to scream, but her reality was skewed, so she wasn’t sure what to fear or love.

Was this a real wolf? Would it rip her apart or let her caress it? Before she could react, Bray was behind the massive animal. “Scott, what’s your problem?”

The wolf was Scott? Should she be afraid? She’d never get used to this.

  “What’s happening?” she whispered.

Bray scowled. “He worried about me being able to control myself, but he can’t even stay human.”

  “Is he dangerous?”

She needed reassurance with the beast staring at her. Bray only shrugged. “He’s the newest member of the pack. Before joining Rockford, he lived the life of a feral wolf. It’s not so easy to ignore his instincts.”

She held out her hand tentatively. Please don’t bite my fingers off. Scott paced closer. He sniffed her hand and then proceeded to circle her. His chest rumbled, his lithe, muscular body moving like an animal on the hunt. When he began to force her to walk backward, she immediately looked to Bray for help.

“Don’t worry. He’ll behave,” said Bray. “He better fucking behave, or Corbin will skin him alive.”

Her back hit a large tree, pinning her between the hard surface and the wolf. The werewolf. “Please change back,” she said. It felt weird talking to an animal, but her entire world had been turned upside down. Nothing was as it seemed.

He sniffed her crotch then ducked his head. Scott’s entire body started to convulse, his back rising, fur receding. It was the same miracle she’d seen when Corbin changed from wolf to man. Nova stared in fascination.

When he rose to his full height, eyes still feral, her breath caught in her throat. Her instincts told her to be afraid, but her body heated, her pussy tingling. The beast of a man, chest heaving, licked his lips, not taking his eyes off her.

She could feel his urgent need, and it made her body react.

“Lose the pants,” he said. His voice came out deep and slurred.

She complied, realizing she was still sensitive from Bray’s performance. Once she struggled out of her pants, he didn’t waste any time hoisting her up against the tree. His strength shocked her. Scott’s thick cock nudged her clit, making her moan involuntarily. She wrapped her legs around his hips, and he grabbed his cock and easily found her slick pussy. He filled her in one fluid stroke. Nova cried out, scaring the birds in the nearby branches.

The plethora of sensation scattered through her body. She held his strong shoulders, corded with muscle, as he fucked her like an animal. His big dick eased away her ache, bringing a new orgasm barrelling to the surface. The scruff on his face scratched her skin as he nuzzled her neck, and his deep growls made her hotter. She loved the feeling of being wanted, savored, desired.

  “Scott…”

“Ryder was right,” he said. “You’re our mate. There’s not a doubt in my mind.” He continued to fuck her, hard and fast, his strong arms securely around her body, protecting her from the bark of the tree. When her body peaked, she tossed her head back, savoring the rush cascading through every inch of her body.

His fingers combed into her hair, securing her in a tight grip. She winced as he pulled harder, his hot cum filling her. Knowing the wetness inside her came fr

om both men, and they were fine with it, was oddly titillating. It was addicting being wanted by more than one man—by five men.

When he set her down to her feet, she was wobbly. He held her close, kissing her atop the head. “I’m sorry about that. It’ll take time for me to learn how to control my wolf. Next time we’ll take things nice and slow.”

She swallowed hard, not willing to tell him everything they shared was perfect. The urgency, the passion—it was everything she dreamt of.

“Let’s get to Climax before it gets too late,” said Bray. “Corbin will want us back before sunset.”

They all got back into the truck and drove over the bumpy forest path until they finally emerged onto a main road. She’d almost forgot what civilization looked like as they entered the tiny northern town. The last time she’d been here, they’d been starting their expedition. In just a few days so much had changed.

Before they got out of the vehicle, she grabbed Bray’s arms. “What about my friends? The other hikers with me?”

The two men looked at each other, and she felt a twist in her gut.

Bray stared at her, and for a brief moment, she saw the eyes of a wolf. “The forest is a dangerous place, Nova. If a person isn’t careful, they could lose their way.”

“The wolves…they killed Roger, didn’t they? You killed him.”

He took a breath. “Nova, it’s pack law. All threats need to be eliminated. Trespassers aren’t tolerated.”

“I’m a trespasser,” she said, testing him.

He tilted her chin up, leaning in to kiss her. “And we’re keeping you.”

Another kiss and then he left the truck. She wasn’t sure how she felt about all this. Her friends were dead. Killed by wolves. These weren’t normal men, living by normal rules. Was it wrong that she couldn’t find fault in the five Rockford men? They claimed she was their mate, which meant they were her men, too.

They entered a greasy spoon diner, the bells chiming on the glass door as they entered. Bray and Scott flanked her, their massive frames covered in flannel. The other men in the diner dressed similar. There were a couple big guys at the counter and some older men at a far table. They were so far off the grid she was surprised to see so many people in one place.

One of the men at the counter stood up as they neared. The man was a beast. There wasn’t a hint of friendliness in the way he sized up Bray and Scott.

  “Garret,” said Scott. “How’s Cassidy?”

“She’s been going stir crazy at the cabin. We spotted Arctic wolves near the mine, so I’m not taking any chances.”

  “Who’s with her?” asked Scott.

Garret didn’t look impressed. “You may be her brother, but she’s my concern, not yours.”

  * * * *

Scott had always been in one fucked-up position, being loyal to the Rockford Pack but having a half-sister mated to the rival Gregor Pack. He didn’t see her as much as he liked, but he worked hard to keep things civil with the Gregor wolves for her sake. Garret was their alpha, so Scott didn’t want to piss him off.

“Corbin wants the Arctic wolves dealt with, and I’m sure you’ll agree they need to go.”

Garret sat on a stool, leaning an elbow on the counter. “Speaking of the devil, where is Corbin? I thought the girl was his mate.”

“Our mate,” Scott corrected. “Corbin’s waiting for us at the house. We’re just here for a quick pit stop.”

“When Matthew and Travis told me Rockford had a mate, I didn’t believe it. But here she is. Why haven’t you marked her?”

“She’ll be marked proper tonight under the full moon,” said Scott. “We won’t be making any mistakes.”

Garret tilted his head to the side, his dark eyes narrowed. “Good luck with that. I can’t see Corbin settling down with one woman.”

  “Already done.”

“We’ll see,” said Garret. “Until then, I don’t want him near Cassidy.”

Patrick was sitting beside his alpha, his red hair mostly hidden in his toque. “We’ll be doing patrols in no man’s land tonight,” he said. “Until the white wolves learn to stay on their side of the northern border, we’ll be on guard.”

“Thanks for the warning,” said Scott. “Corbin isn’t so gracious. He wants them dead.”

“Works for us, too,” said Patrick. He finished off the beer he’d been drinking, banging it down on the counter.

Contact with their rival pack wasn’t so bad without Corbin, but the mood was still tense. Their natural instincts fought them when they played nice with their enemies. At least they both had a common goal at the moment—eliminate the Arctic wolves.

They ordered their food to go and walked across the street to one of two general stores in Climax. There wouldn’t be much selection for clothing, especially for a woman. They’d have to wait until they travelled to one of the cities for supplies to get everything they needed for their mate.

After getting a few warm shirts and unisex items, they walked back to the pickup truck parked at the edge of the main street. The wind picked up, and Nova leaned into him. Scott noticed his senses were magnified, his territorial nature off the charts. It was all because of Nova and his deep-seated urge to protect what was his. He couldn’t wait to have her in the safety of the house with all his pack mates nearby.

“Who were those men?” she asked.

“They’re members of another pack. Corbin wouldn’t be happy knowing you were in the same place as them.”

“Would you let them hurt me?” she asked.

“I’d kill them first.” It wasn’t a lie. Even his wolf agreed that Nova had to come above all else. He was a werewolf, a trained killing machine. No one would harm or threaten their mate. But as paranoid as Corbin was, Scott knew the Gregor wolves were decent guys. All five of them took excellent care of his sister. They weren’t the type to hurt an innocent woman, unlike the wolves to the north. Their days were numbered.

“They don’t believe Corbin really wants me,” she said.

He didn’t like the uncertainty in his voice. “Our alpha has never loved a woman. Until now. Never doubt our commitment to you, Nova.”

The drive back home was just as bumpy, the truck jostling over every rock and exposed root. As Bray neared the house, Scott had a sense of unease. They’d been gone only a couple hours, but his wolf thrashed within him, making his fangs lengthen. Bray put on the brakes, the cab jolting to a stop.

  “Trouble,” said Bray.

  “Yeah, something’s not right.”

Nova looked out the window. “I don’t see anything.”

Scott wanted to shift and investigate. All his senses would be magnified in his wolf form. But he didn’t want to leave Nova unprotected. He hoped he was wrong and he’d find Corbin, Ryder, and Shade at the house. He’d lived feral for most of his life, and he could traverse the forests better than he had acquired human etiquette.

“Stay here with Bray,” said Scott. “I need to make sure things are safe.”

She nodded, her big green eyes carrying an uncertainty he never wanted to see again. He knew he could trust Bray to keep her safe because every one of them was bound to her in the same way. The mating call was a bitch you couldn’t ignore.

He walked into the tree line before shifting. It was bad enough he hadn’t been able to control his wolf earlier. He didn’t want Nova to witness him shift again.

Immediately, he confirmed that his instincts had been right. The scent of the Arctic wolves was sharp in the air. Those filthy bastards wouldn’t take no for an answer. They should have finished them off rather than sending them running home with their tails between their legs.

He scouted out the area before heading to the house. The frogs and crickets created a deceptive calm. None of his packmates were nearby, too far to even hear them in his head. What the fuck happened after they left for Climax? He had total faith in Corbin’s ability to deal with a threat, especially with Ryder and Shade by his side. Scott wanted to be a part of
it, to have his pack’s back, but had to think of Nova’s safety first.

  Chapter Fourteen

Nova wasn’t sure what was happening, but she felt safe with Scott and Bray. She’d been through so much in the last few days, and the worst parts were when she’d been alone in the forest at night. She’d never forget the darkness, the bitter cold, and the fear of the unknown. Nothing could be worse than that.

“Where’s Scott?” she asked. Bray sat behind the wheel, his face stoic. She could feel the tension in the air. What could be a threat to wolf men?

“He’s making sure things are safe before we leave the truck.”

  “Safe from what?”

“Remember the guy Corbin killed in the forest? There’re more of them, and they want to steal you from us. Maybe our land, too.”

  “Why?”

“It’s how things work in our world, survival of the fittest, but those Arctic wolves will learn what happens when they try to steal from Rockford.”

She wondered if the other men were safe. After accepting her fate, and feeling a sense of excitement about her crazy new future, she didn’t want it stolen from her.

When Scott’s wolf walked in front of the truck, Bray opened the driver’s side door and stepped outside. She didn’t want to be alone, so she joined him.

“We’re going to scout the area, see how far the rest of the pack travelled. We won’t go far,” said Bray. “Stay in the house until we get back. It’s safe. Lock the door and stay inside.”

She nodded. As much as she didn’t want to be alone, she wanted the other three men to be found. Nova opened the front door of the house, and by the time she turned around to say good-bye, a dark wolf darted into the forest. She quickly closed the door behind her, turning the lock. Silence rained down on her once the chatter of the wilderness was drowned out.
