More Than She Bargained For (The Widow Wagon Book 2) Page 8

by Megan Michaels

“They were. And they… hurt a lot. I still have marks from the switching a couple days ago.” Daisy’s voice had a bit of whine, but fortunately, she knew better than to raise it with him.

“As well there should be. You don’t threaten someone else’s child. You’re too old for such foolishness.” He turned her around so her pantaloon-covered bottom faced him. “We’re taking these off, and then you’ll stand in the corner to think about your poor behavior.” He held up a stout, polished wood hairbrush so that she could see it. “When you come out of the corner, I’ll use this on you.”

Daisy threw her hands up, covering her face as he bared her. He whistled when her stripped flesh came into view. “Whoowhee, girl. You got switched pretty good. Angus didn’t fool around.” He lightly ran his finger over the slightly healed and scabbed stripes. “Do they hurt still, sweetie?”

“A little. Only if I forget and scratch one of them. Or if I sit the wrong way.” She craned her head to look over her shoulder down at her stripes.

“I bet. Sets my ass to tingling just looking at it.” He lightly slapped her bottom cheeks. “You go to the corner and think about how you should’ve behaved on that wagon. When I call you over to me, we’ll deal with it.”

Noah watched her as she walked to the corner, a delightful wiggle to her plump bottom. He adjusted himself through his pants, his penis rock hard. Angus definitely switched her little backside good, and though he was reluctant to admit it, those stripes made her ass even hotter.

He wouldn’t really have the heart to use a hairbrush on such already injured flesh.

Some corner time and the worry of a spanking would be punishment enough for her. Her shoulders were stooped and she appeared to be a very sorry, contrite girl. He shook his head. How had she been raised, that she still caused this much trouble? At the age of eighteen, she should been able to hold her temper better. She should’ve known how to behave better than this. He’d have to ask her more questions about it in the coming week. He had a feeling she’d been coddled too much as a child.

  She’d learn.

As he told Angus, he didn’t believe in letting a spoiled woman act any way she wanted, and he was no stranger to discipline. He’d disciplined siblings and his many nieces and nephews. If she required a firm hand, he’d have no problem administering a sound spanking as many times as it was needed.

He left her there a while longer until he heard quiet crying. Experience had taught him that the lesson was easier to impart when the receiver started out in tears.

“Daisy, min kære. Come here, please.”

She startled a little at the sound of his voice, turning to him, her nose very pink as she wiped at the tears coursing down her face.

  Absolutely adorable.

The thatch of hair covering her sex was just as dark at the hair on her head. Initially, he resisted touching those curls, then realized that as her husband, those were his to touch whenever he desired.

“Jesus, I love these little black curls. So pretty.” He twirled his forefinger in them, her legs trembling at the attention paid to her cunt. “I can smell your arousal, lille blomstre. Your little pussy likes all this attention.”

  “What is… lille… blomstre?”

“It means, ‘little flower.’” He eased his finger through the hair, gently opening her seam to find that little bundle of nerves. Her hips thrust at his gentle touch.

Noah chuckled deep in his throat. “It seems that all the fire translates into sexual fire too, yes?”

“Yes, Sir. It’s been… a long time for me.” Worrying that lip again, she dropped her eyes to his erection bulging in his pants.

“Daisy Mae!” He winked at her, watching the pretty red blush rise from her neck to her face. “Yes, it’s been a very long time. I’m anxious for my wedding night too.” He cleared his throat. “But we have another matter to take care of first.”

She nodded and he pulled her around to his side, easing her down onto his lap. His finger ran over the wheals on her bottom, squeezing the soft, plump flesh gently, then carefully pressed on different areas of her bottom to judge her sensitivity.

The lips of her sex were visible in this position over his lap. “Look at that pretty cunny.” He pushed his fingers into her sex, pumping them while he squeezed her fleshy bottom. She pressed herself into his thigh, the warmth of her felt through his pants. Noah pushed his hardened cock into her side. “Lord, I want you, Daisy.”

“I need you to take me, Sir.” Daisy breathed heavily, continuing to press against him, seeking her release.

He pulled her up to sit on his lap. “We need to talk first. I’m not going to paddle you today.” Her face brightened, and she smiled at him. “Don’t feel too excited. The only reason you aren’t getting a paddling is because your bottom is still marked. Besides, it’s your first day at the house as Mrs. Noah Jensen, and I don’t want to start our marriage that way.”

He pinched her chin between his fingers. “But I want you to know that I will not hesitate to tan your bottom when you decide to misbehave. I’m gentle and can be a very kind man, but I don’t tolerate bratty or ill-mannered women well. Understood?”

  “Yes, Sir.”

He patted her bottom a couple times and then stood with her. “Let’s get our marriage started, girl.” He ripped at his clothes, getting them off as fast as he could, and nodded to her corset. “Get that damn thing off. I want you naked and lying in the middle of the bed, knees up, and your legs spread. Don’t make me ask you twice.”

Her throat visibly worked to swallow. She quickly took her corset off and scrambled onto the bed as ordered. She laid on her back looking at him expectantly.

When the last garment was off, he climbed onto the bed kneeling in front of her bent and tightly closed knees. “I believe I told you to spread your legs.”

Before she could respond he slapped the outsides of both thighs — hard. She rolled over onto her side, pulling herself into almost a fetal position. He held her in that position and spanked her bottom with his open hand several times, until a beautiful red bloom rose, leaving outlines of his fingers around the hip area.

“Ohhhh! Noah!” As soon as he released her legs, she quickly pulled her knees up and spread her thighs open.

“Good girl, min kære. Obeying is always nicer, yes?”

“Yes, Sir.” She pulled those rosy red lips of hers into a beautiful pout, and he thought it was absolutely adorable. Not that he’d ever let her know that.

“Pouting usually goes away with a hairbrush. Should I send you to get the hairbrush?”

“No. No, Sir.” She not only fixed the pout, she replaced it with a winning smile.

“That’s what I thought.” Noah situated himself between her legs, licking his way down her body to her pussy. He inhaled, loving the scent of her. Working his tongue through the seam of her sex, he licked and sucked her clit, reveling in how she writhed on the bed. She pulled on his hair with her hands pushing herself against his face. He cupped her bottom, a warm cheek in each hand, diving into her with his tongue, her nectar coating his lips. She moaned and writhed, seemingly on the edge of self-control. He lapped at her, bringing her to the brink, and when she neared the edge, pulling away or pinching her little clit just hard enough to stop her orgasm. He kept her on the brink until she was shouting with each throb of her little clit against his tongue. Finally, he pulled his tongue out, sliding it up between her slick labia to her little nub. He sucked on the bundle of nerves, pulling it into his mouth, her body stiffening as she screamed with her orgasm.

He flicked his tongue against her, stoking the fire, keeping her aroused until she became so sensitive she pushed his head away. Noah then crawled up her body, sucking on her breasts, his turgid cock pounding, wanting release, his testicles aching angrily. Daisy ground her hips against his pelvis, kissing him with a furious passion. He slipped his penis into her then, matching her rhythm. He jammed his tongue into her mouth, kissing her hard, pounding his cock into
her as she wrapped her legs around his waist, allowing him to thrust into her harder and deeper, his balls bouncing off her ass. Her cunt squeezed him like a vice, her shouts rising higher the closer she came to her release. Her nails dug into his back, as she screamed again with her second orgasm. His own growl preceded his thrust into her, his seed filling her. She milked every drop from him, mewling with every contraction of her womb.

“My God, I’m a blessed man. You may have a spirit and fire that needs taming out of the bed, but Christ, promise me the fire will never diminish in our bed. That was amazing.” He kissed her neck then reached for her hand. “Let me see your nails. It’s going to be my job to make sure these nails are trimmed.” He laughed and rolled off of her. “I think my back is bleeding.”

Her sigh at the loss of him inside her was like music to his ears. “Don’t worry Daisy, you won’t be long without me in you tonight. You better rest while you can. I have a feeling I’ll have you often tonight.”

  Chapter 10

Daisy sat on the fence post, watching Noah and some of his men working with a couple of the colts, trying to saddle break them. She loved watching the colts, their energy and spirited fight as they resisted the saddle. In particular, there was a filly named Candy that had stolen Daisy’s heart. She was black with white socks and a thin, white blaze down her nose, which is how she acquired the name Candy — she looked like a candy stick at the mercantile. Daisy watched her closely and knew that someday she’d be similar to Molly, the horse she called hers while she grew up. She decided she would ask Noah if she could ride her, and if she could be her horse some day.

After a few more minutes, the men took the horses to the barn. Noah helped her off the fence, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

“Let’s get something to eat. I’m hungry.” He wrapped an arm around her shoulder, tucking her into his side.

“Noah, I love Candy. Do you think someday I can ride her?”

“Not anytime soon. She’s not comfortable with a saddle.” He smiled down at her. “She needs more work, but once she’s older, we’ll see about making her your horse.”

Daisy couldn’t contain her excitement, jumping up and down clapping.

“Now, wait a minute. She won’t be ready for a while yet. You’re to stay away from her.” He turned her in his arms, gripping her shoulders. “You mind me on this, Daisy. I don’t want either of you to be hurt.”

She rolled her eyes at him. “You worry like my grandmother. Fine!”

He pulled her by the arm, turning her sideways, swatting her backside several times. And although it did hurt, even through the thin summer dress, the humiliation had her more upset. She quickly turned to see if any of the ranch hands had seen. Thankfully, no one seemed to be around.

“You will not roll your eyes at me. I do not roll my eyes at you, ever. You will not dismiss what I say with your eyes. Listen to me on this, Daisy. You will be sorry if you don’t. I do not want anyone on Candy until I say.”

“Okay!” she said with a shrillness that made her cringe inside. She’d received enough paddlings for raising her voice that she’d learned how to not shout. She lowered her voice, taking a deep breath. “I promise.”

“Good girl. You’re learning.” He grabbed her hand and they leisurely walked to the house for their midday meal.

  * * *

Since it was their regularly scheduled day for cooking and cleaning, Millie and Mary were at the house. Millie usually prepared two to three meals, which made Daisy’s life immeasurably easier. She didn’t care for Millie’s bossy attitude. The age difference between she and Millie was easily twenty years, and the cook knew much more about preparing meals than Daisy — and seemed to delight in pointing that out. Because of Noah though, she kept quiet, no matter how much Millie’s “suggestions” rankled her. Mary seemed nice enough, but she moved things when she cleaned — and Daisy didn’t like having things put in different drawers or moved from one end of a dresser to the other.

Noah and Daisy walked into the house, washing their hands in the sink and sitting down just as Millie brought them some soup and sandwiches.

Daisy didn’t like having mustard on her sandwiches even though Noah loved it and spread it thick on his rye bread. Though he was fond of saying ‘the more the better,’ she’d asked repeatedly that it not be put on her sandwiches. She looked down at her plate and the sandwich had mustard dripping from the edges of the bread.

“Excuse me! I have asked over and over for you to not put mustard on my sandwiches. Are you having trouble hearing? Or are you doing it on purpose to upset me?”

“Daisy!” Noah put a warning hand on her forearm.

Daisy yanked her arm from his grasp. “No, Noah! This woman keeps doing this, and I’ve told her time and time again. She isn’t a fool. She’s just contrary — and I’m not going to tolerate it. As a servant, she should be meeting my needs!”

“Millie, I apologize for my wife. Trust me when I tell you that she’ll be punished for this. You will never be a servant — you’re a friend and family. Will you please get Mary, and both of you may leave for the day, at double pay.” Noah’s face was red, his hand literally twitching on the table as he spoke.

“Yes, Noah, whatever you want. I’m sorry, Daisy. I’d never do it on purpose. I just forgot. I’ll do better next time.” Millie looked truly repentant, but Daisy didn’t care. She looked away from the maid, closing her eyes in indifference.

Noah put a hand on her knee under the table and squeezed it hard enough that Daisy jumped, opening her eyes in shock. She would have sworn there were sparks shooting from Noah’s eyes. He addressed Millie. “My wife may not have accepted your apology today, but I assure you she will. If I may ask, I’d like both of you to come back tomorrow at ten in the morning. I assure you a sincere apology will be given at that time.”

“Yes, Sir. I’ll get Mary now, and we’ll leave you both to your day.”

After she left the room to get Mary, Noah turned to Daisy, squeezing her knee hard again. “At træde i spinaten! In my country that means ‘you stepped on the spinach.’ You crossed over a line, Daisy. It won’t happen again.” He put his napkin on the table and sat back in his chair, looking toward the staircase. “I want you to go upstairs to our room. Take your clothes off completely, empty your bladder, then hold your hairbrush in the corner until I get there.”

“But — they haven’t left yet,” she whispered harshly, looking around the room.

“Not my problem.” He pointed toward the staircase. “Upstairs. Now.”

“You make me so… so angry!” She got out of her chair, stomping up the stairs.

On her way down the hallway, she passed the women, scowling their way before slamming her bedroom door to escape their knowing stares. How dare he? He told Millie that she’d be ‘punished,’ and she just knew that she’d told Mary right off. How could he? She had received small spankings for raising her voice or rolling her eyes, but this would be her first serious punishment. She hadn’t had a serious punishment since the one her father gave her the day the soldiers told her about Jesse dying.

Jesse. Jesse had never punished her. Hell, her father never punished her until she became a woman. This was just wrong. She was almost nineteen years old! And that damn woman did it just to make her mad. She wouldn’t put it past Millie to have done it for the sole purpose of getting her in trouble.

After she prepared herself as he’d required, she stood in the corner, holding that damnable hairbrush. It felt heavy in her hand, and she wanted to throw the stupid thing across the room or, better yet, throw it in the fire.

Damn, she hated standing in the corner. She stared at the light green striped wallpaper adorned with small white and pink flowers. Noah had picked a very nice wallpaper. Surprisingly good taste for a single man. She was supposed to be thinking about what she did wrong and her punishment, but she couldn’t focus on anything while holding the hairbrush in her hand. She twirled it in her hand, looking down at the gleami
ng wood, the stiff black bristles. It felt heavier today, and she knew that heaviness would hurt.

“You’re supposed to be holding that brush behind you. The cold, hard wood should be resting against your backside.” His deep rumbling voice spoke into her ear, and she jumped, not realizing he had come into the room. He must’ve taken his boots off, their heavy clomping on the wooden stairs usually giving her plenty of warning that he was coming.

He pulled both her hands behind her and pressed the cold wood of the brush against her flesh.

She shivered, goose bumps rising on her skin.

“Keep it here,” he said. “I’ll be back. I have something I need to get from the barn. Don’t move.”

She looked over her shoulder at him. “Noah. I’m really—”

He put his hand up to stop her. “Don’t. There’s no talking yourself out of this one. You earned this whipping, fair and square. You will never talk that way to Millie — or Mary, for that matter — again. If I do this the right way, your hind end will start to tingle every time they walk into the room.”

He turned on his heel, walking out of the room. Seconds later, she heard the back door slam as he left the house.

  Chapter 11

Noah walked into the barn, knowing what he needed. He pulled the riding crop off the wall, then went to the cabinet of drawers and pulled out a cardboard box, tucking it under his arm. He found the small bag he was looking for too, pushing it into his pocket.

He couldn’t believe she’d screeched at Millie like that. Those women had taken care of him for years — cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, even tending to him when he’d become ill. He shook his head. She wouldn’t be making this same mistake twice. He’d been formulating her punishment since she’d been sent upstairs, and the more time she spent there with that hairbrush, the more malleable she’d be when she came out of that corner.
