“I’ve ended up with everything when I’d resolved myself to having nothing. I love you both. And I want to spend the rest of my life taking care of you both, loving you both, dominating you both. If you’ll have me.”
He stood and walked to his drawers, pulling one open and reaching inside. When he turned back he held two jewelry boxes. Ava’s stomach tightened and she looked at Sam who appeared shocked.
Roarke kneeled and held both boxes up.
“Will you both marry me? Be with me always? Love me forever?”
He stared between the two of them, waiting.
“Yes,” Ava said, tears running down her cheeks. Roarke smiled, the largest grin she’d ever seen on his face. He put down one box and opened the other. Ava held out her left hand and he slipped a ring on her finger. Looking down, she let out a sob of delight at the beautiful ruby surrounded by sparkling diamonds blinking back at her.
Throwing her arms around Roarke, she kissed him. “Thank you,” she whispered.
He winked at her. Then his face grew serious as he looked over at Sam.
“Sam?” he asked.
Ava turned to look at the other love of her life. He looked shell-shocked.
“Yes,” Sam said. “God, yes.”
Ava watched on with a smile as her men embraced.
Her men.
Her family.
At last.
