The Hurricane Page 7

“It really is beautiful here,” I said as I listened to the waves crashing against the rocks.

“It’s even better being here with you,” he whispered in my ear.

  Melted.

  Friday

“I miss you, Brookie,” I said, and made kissing sounds into the phone.

“I miss you too, momma. But Papa is waiting outside for me. We’re going to paint the fence.”

“That sounds fun!” I said, trying to keep my daughter on the phone for a little longer. I missed her so much and I just wanted to talk to her, but she was way too busy for her momma.

“I gotta go, momma. I love you,” she said quickly, and I heard the phone drop.

“Hey sweetie,” my mom chimed in.

“Hey mom,” I said, trying not to sound disappointed. I loved my mom, but I missed my baby.

“So, my granddaughter has informed me there’s a certain man you’ve taken a liking to,” she said, and then waited for my response.

“Um, yeah,” I said when I realized she wouldn’t hang up without an answer.

“She said his name is Ryker, Natalie, is this the same boy who broke your heart when you were a teenager?”

“He’s not a boy anymore, Mom, he’s all man. And yes, one and the same.” I laughed, knowing that would make her uncomfortable. My mom was a prude when it came to anything about sex. Emily used to ask her sex questions all the time, just to see her blush.

“Well, I don’t need details, sweetie, but I don’t want you to get your heart broken again.”

“I’m an adult mom, I can handle it,” I assured her.

“I know. I just worry about you and Brooklyn. She seems to really like him. I would hate to see her get hurt.”

  “Mom, please.”

“I’m sorry, honey. I know you’re grown now. And I am happy that you’re finally moving forward. Just be careful, ok?”

“Will do, mom. But listen, I gotta go. I’ve got plans.” I wanted to end this conversation.

  “Plans with Ryker?” she asked.

“Yes, mom. I’ll call you later, ok? Give Brookie a kiss for me. I love you guys.”

  “I love you, too, honey.”

I hung up the phone and stared at the half full suitcase on my bed. Luckily, I had taken a half day off work to pack because we were leaving early. Cain’s official opening of his restaurant was tonight. I had to get busy; Ryker would be here soon. God, I was nervous about this.

  Crave

“Wow,” I said as I looked around our suite. This hotel was stunning. I had never stayed in anything like this. We were on the 30th floor and the view was amazing. An entire wall was made of glass with a door leading to the balcony. The city lights were twinkling and it was breathtaking.

“Your brother owns this place?” I asked, unable to fathom the kind of money it would take to own a hotel like this.

“Part of it,” Ryker said as he wrapped his arms around me, and started to kiss my neck. The way his beard felt against my neck caused a shiver up my spine. I leaned into him, wrapped my arm behind me, just to feel him. Ryker lifted the front of my sundress and slid his hand inside the front of my panties. He caressed my clit in small circles before pulling his hand away. I wanted to pout, but that thought left my mind when I saw what he did next. He brought his hand up to his nose and smelled his finger, closing his eyes as if in ecstasy, then put it in his mouth, sucking my wetness off of it. My eyes fluttered, watching his face, and I felt a weight between my legs.

“I need to taste you,” he said as he dropped to his knees, and ripped my lace panties off in one swift movement. He grabbed my ass and pulled me into his face. He let out a quiet growl before putting his hand between my thighs, parting them.

As soon as his cool tongue found the spot that craved his touch so badly, I grabbed a fistful of his hair and buried his face deeper into me. I needed this right now. I needed him.

An hour later, as we lay in bed, completely wrapped up in each other, I remembered that we actually had somewhere to be. Ryker had made every other thought disappear with his tongue.

“What time do we need to be at the restaurant?” I asked.

“Around eight,” Ryker said, his eyes closed, as he pulled me on top of him.

“That’s in an hour,” I said, a little panicked. “I need to get ready.”

Ryker stilled my body with his strong arms and stared at me with those mesmerizing grey eyes.

“You’re already perfect,” he said as he cupped my chin, and kissed me gently. I sighed into him, my body melting against his.

“That’s very sweet,” I said, and kissed his chin. “But you might feel differently if I walked in there naked and looking freshly fucked.” I couldn’t help but giggle.

“That look suits you perfect, but it’s for my eyes only,” he said, and slapped my ass. “Because you’re mine.”

“I like the sound of that,” I admitted, and stood up. His.

About an hour later, we pulled into the parking lot of Crave. I didn’t see an empty space anywhere, but Ryker drove straight up to the front door. I was met by a young man wearing all black, with a valet nametag on. He held out his hand for me, which I took. But at soon as I stepped out of Ryker’s truck, he was there beside me.

“I got this,” he said as he pulled my hand out of the valet’s and took it in his.

Sexy and a little jealous. That probably wasn’t a good combination. But he wore it too well for me to care. I tugged at my black dress before we started walking. It was a little shorter and tighter than my usual attire. Definitely not a mom dress. I had paired it with a pair of strappy heels and I was thankful for my summer tan.

“You look beautiful,” Ryker whispered in my ear as we started to walk to the entrance.

“You look pretty sexy yourself,” I said as I looped my arm through his, and snuggled into him. He was wearing a long-sleeve button up shirt, dark jeans and boots. Absolutely sexy.

As soon as we walked through the front door, I was absolutely impressed. The word Crave was displayed over the bar. The lights were dim and the music was soft. It was noisy because of the crowd of people, but very refined. Everything was black with deep red chairs and sofas scattered throughout. There were candles along the walls, which added to the ambiance.

“Mr. Hamilton,” a tall blonde spoke from behind the hostess stand. “Your brother is expecting you; I’ll show you to his table in the back.”

We followed her through the crowd of people mingling in various places and then I spotted Cain moving in our direction. Good looks definitely run in the Hamilton family. I hadn’t seen him in twelve years, but I knew in an instant who he was. He had an aura about him that I remembered from all those years ago. So serious and reserved. A dominating presence that no one could deny. He had jet black hair and a little bit of scruff, very refined. He was wearing black slacks with a button-down white shirt that was rolled up just a little. He was the complete opposite of Ryker. But then, I noticed a tattoo peeking from under the sleeve, which surprised me.

“Brother,” Cain rumbled through the crowd, and a smile spread across his face. I wasn’t expecting that either; he didn’t strike me as someone who smiled very often. They shook hands as if they were business colleagues, instead of brothers.

“Cain,” Ryker said with a smile, and he squeezed my hand a little tighter.

“This must be Natalie,” Cain said with a smile and leaned in, giving me an unexpected peck on the cheek. His eyes immediately went to Ryker, who quickly cut his eyes at him before turning his attention back to me.

“Just being polite bro, not trying to rattle the beast.” He chuckled and gave Ryker a slap on the shoulder. Ryker simply shook his head and gave that crooked little smile that I adored, scratching his beard.

“Come this way, I have a table reserved” he said and extended his arm, leading us to a round table in the corner, with a booth style sofa wrapping halfway around it. There was a woman sitting there, alone. She was stunning. She h
ad long black hair and flawless skin. She was beautiful and exotic. She seemed so deep in thought. She was inspecting her glass of wine until we got a little closer. As soon as she locked her eyes on Cain, she sat up straighter and gave him a smile.

“Darling,” Cain said quietly, and the woman stood to her feet. Cain grabbed her hand and locked it through his arm. She hardly looked in our direction, she was captivated by him.

“Sierra, this is my brother Ryker and his girlfriend Natalie.”

“Ryker, Natalie, this is Sierra,” Cain stated as he rubbed her hand, gently. This seemed to bring her back to us and she extended her hand.

“Nice to meet you both,” she spoke softly as we both shook her hand.

“Nice to meet you,” I said.

“I’ll send drinks over. I’ve got to work the room a bit,” Cain stated before whispering in Sierra’s ear. She simply nodded and sat back down at the table.

Ryker gave me a secret smile and then nodded towards the table.

“It’s nice to finally meet you, Ryker. Cain speaks very highly of you,” she said as a waitress brought two glasses of wine and a beer to our table.

“Good to know,” Ryker said as he took a swig of his beer. He chose that moment to slide his hand under the table and rest it on my thigh.

“Cain did an amazing job with the opening,” Sierra said softly as she looked around. I got the feeling she was looking for Cain more than admiring the restaurant.

“He really did,” I chimed in as Ryker put his hand between my thighs to spread them apart. I uncrossed my legs and tried to keep my grin hidden.

“So what do you do for a living?” I asked Sierra, trying to make small talk as Ryker proceeded to move his hand up my inner thigh and run his fingers gently over my panties. I squeezed my thighs together, knowing I couldn’t hide this for very long. It was impossible to hide the way he made me feel when he put his hands on me.

“I’m a therapist,” Sierra answered as she lifted her glass to her lips, taking a small sip.

Ryker continued to run his fingers over my panties, my breathing getting shallow.

“Darling, come,” Cain said over me. I hadn’t even realized he had approached our table.

“I have some people I want you to meet,” he continued and held out his hand for Sierra, which she took immediately.

“I’ll be back in a while, Ryker,” Cain said, and Ryker simply nodded without looking in his direction.

Ryker placed his hand inside my panties and started to massage my clit.

“Ryker,” I whispered. We shouldn’t do this here. Ryker turned his body toward me and leaned into me, shielding my body from the crowd.

“Do you want me to stop?” he whispered in my ear as he put one finger inside me.

“What if someone sees us?” I whispered, my voice cracking.

“No one can see anything, baby.” His hot breath in my ear caused goose bumps all over my body.

Ryker continued to massage my clit. I dug my nails into his shoulder, with my face pressed into his chest as I felt my orgasm build.

“Oh God,” I whispered against him.

“So fucking sexy,” he said in my ear as I started to tremble under him. I buried my mouth into his shirt to muffle my cries as I rode it out.

After a few minutes, I was limp in his arms. Limp but completely satisfied. Right in the middle of a crowded restaurant.

  Out of Control

My dick was about to explode out of my jeans just watching her come in my arms. My desire to watch her come undone consumed me sometimes. I loved the effect my touch had on her. It fueled me.

“Come here baby,” I growled in her ear as I pulled her onto my lap, I could feel her clit throbbing in my lap which caused me to want to beat my fists against my chest, claim her, she was mine.

“I can’t believe we just did that,” she giggled quietly in my ear as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

“It was sexy as fuck,” I admitted, running my fingers down her back, ready to get the hell out of here.

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t The Hurricane,” I heard directly behind me, and my body froze; I knew that fucking voice. The cocky laugh that followed caused my body to tremble in anger. My hands dropped from Natalie’s back and balled into fists. Natalie’s body stiffened and her eyes got wide. I had to keep myself calm. I couldn’t let her see me spiral out of control. I had to focus.

“What’s the matter, Hamilton, you don’t want to say hi,” Johnson roared, and the rest of the restaurant seemed to grow silent.

“Get lost, dick,” I said without looking in his direction, trying to keep my focus on Natalie. I squeezed her waist gently, staring at her, but I couldn’t hide my trembling hands from her. I wanted to break this fucker’s neck.

I stared at her face. Her mouth opened like she wanted to say something, but then closed again. Her green eyes were wide and inspecting me, watching, waiting.

Focus. Focus. Focus. Don’t let him see it. He will feed on it. I knew it. Focus on her. Those eyes, those lips, those freckles.

“Don’t be a pussy, Hurricane. You fixed the fucking fight, at least stand up like a man and admit it,” He said, and I heard someone laugh. One of his goons, probably. But the sound of that laugh caused my neck to tense up. I knew this feeling, I felt it. I grabbed Natalie by the waist and slid her off of me, sitting her beside me in the booth.

“Ryker, just ignore him,” Natalie pleaded, but I couldn’t look at her. I stared at the table, my breathing getting harder. The anger was running through my veins. I couldn’t stop it. This mother fucker.

“Yeah, Ryker, maybe you should listen to your bitch.”

  Snap his fucking neck.

I gripped the edge of the table and flung it away from me, flipping it in the process, leaping to my feet. I heard a scream, it was faint but it was there.

  Snap his fucking neck.

I lunged at Johnson, but his fucking goons shielded him. I leapt over them, my left fist aiming for his teeth. But then I felt two bodies pull me back. I scrambled to loosen their grip on me. I wanted this pussy to hurt, right fucking now.

“Ryker, stop!” I heard a roar behind me. Fucking Cain. His voice causing me to still. This was his restaurant, his opening. I couldn’t ruin it for him. I stopped fighting them. I had to get a fucking grip.

Johnson was backing up toward the door, his bodyguards in front of him. He was smiling, but there was fear in his eyes. I saw it. I knew that look; he couldn’t hide it from me. He started shadow boxing, swinging at the air.

“Fuck you, Johnson!” I yelled as he walked through the exit.

Cain’s bouncers finally loosed their grip on me. My fists were still clenched, anger still flowing.

“Calm down, Ryker,” Cain said without a hint of emotion. I envied that about him. So much control.

“Save it for the ring,” he said quietly, standing close to me.

  Save it for the ring.

“You fucking set me up!” I screamed at Cain, the next second my fist was connecting with his cheek.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” I heard a groan behind me as both of the bouncers wrapped their big ass arms around me, trying to confine me.

Cain remained calm as he rolled his sleeve up, wiping the blood from his busted lip. He stepped closer to me, my arms jerking, wanting these fuckers to get their hands off me.

“You set me up,” I seethed, through gritted teeth.

“Brother, if you would just fight, you could shut him up once and for all,” he whispered, nose to nose with me.

“Not your fucking call,” I said, my body trembling with fucking anger.

“Get some air, bro,” Cain said as he swept his tongue over the blood gathering at the corner of his mouth.

“Get him out of here,” Cain told the bouncers, who immediately started to escort me out of the building.

“I’m leaving, get your fucking hands off me,” I said, not that it did any good.

“Sir, we have to do as
Mr. Hamilton says,” The bouncer on the left said quietly.

Natalie. Natalie. Fuck. I looked over my shoulder but didn’t see her. The door swung open and the bouncers took their hands off of me as soon as I felt the night air. They returned, back inside the building, without looking back in my direction.

“Son of a bitch!” I yelled, my fist swinging in the air.

“Ryker,” I heard her voice as the door flew open once again.

“Ryker,” she repeated as she walked toward me, but didn’t get too close.

My eyes met hers and I saw fear. Fuck. I didn’t want her to be scared.

“Give me just a second, Nat. Please,” I said, as calm as I could muster, and turned my back to her. I put my hands on my knees and tried to control my breathing. I had to get a fucking grip. I stood up straight, putting my hands behind my head.

  Breathe in. Breathe out.

I felt her hand softly touch my back.

“Are you ok?” she said, quietly.

I couldn’t answer right away. But her touch soothed me. I felt the anger start to flow out of me, just from her presence. She was the calm to my storm. A second later, I noticed my truck pulling up beside us. A different young kid hopped out of the driver’s side and walked around to me, with my keys jingling.

“Mr. Hamilton, I was told to bring your truck around,” he said nervously, and held the keys out in front of his body, at a safe distance.

“Thank you,” Natalie said, and took the keys out of his hand.

“Do you want me to drive?” she asked as she looked up at me.

“I’m ok,” I said quietly, feeling guilty for scaring her.

  “Are you sure?” she whispered.

“I’m sure,” I said as I walked to the passenger’s side, but unable to make eye contact with her, and opened the door for her.

  The calm to my storm.

Who calms a fucking hurricane? Natalie Taylor, that’s who.

  Ryker’s Blend
