“Yeah? What with?”
“My roommate is moving out, and we’re loading up the truck today. Want to help?”
“Not really, but I will. You home now?”
“Yeah.”
“I’ll be over in about an hour,” I said. “Talk to you in a bit.”
“Thanks, Tony.”
I ended the call, hoping I hadn’t volunteered for strenuous lifting. While I could handle the work, I didn’t want to take a chance of hurting my throwing arm or any other part of my body.
Still, when it came to women, Jamie had always helped talk me out of staying with women who could have ruined my career in one way or another. I wanted her opinion about Heidi.
After getting dressed in faded jeans and a dark blue polo, I hopped in me Mercedes and headed across the city to her house. She lived on the East Side in a not-so-great neighborhood.
On the drive over, I examined my feelings for Heidi. Why was I so captivated by her? Was it the fact she worked as an exotic dancer and was open with her sexuality? No, there was more to it.
I’d learned over the years to detect when people were being nice to me because they wanted something. Heidi was different, especially since she’d won the lottery.
With her own money, I wouldn’t have to worry about her coming after mine. At least that’s what I thought as I hopped on the highway and zipped across the city.
A mile before the exit to her house, a state police car pulled me over. I stopped the car and dug out my registration and insurance information as he walked up to my window.
“Hello,” I said, rolling down the window. “I’m sorry I was speeding.”
“Tony Cassano?” he asked, recognizing me.
I smiled, nodding my head.
“Guilty. I’m on my way to see my sister, and I wasn’t watching my speed.”
“Would you mind signing something for me?”
“As long as it’s not a ticket,” I joked.
He laughed.
“I’ll give you a warning, okay?”
I nodded as he handed me a leather-bound book of blank tickets.
“Just sign the back of one, would ya?”
“Not a problem,” I said, taking out the felt tip pen from the case.
As I dashed out my signature with a hearty “Thanks!” above it, I wondered if I would have gotten the same treatment if I wasn’t a football star. Not likely.
“Thanks,” he said. “You guys are going to do better this year, right?”
“You can count on it,” I said confidently, knowing it was likely not true.
“Slow down, okay?”
“Yes, officer.”
He walked back to his car. I started mine up and started forward, getting ready to merge with the rest of the traffic. After getting off at the next exit, I went straight to my sister’s house on a dead-end street.
* * *
When I rolled up to Jamie’s house, I parked in the driveway behind her Infiniti four-door. They had a big moving truck parked on the street.
I got out of my car and walked up to the front door of the house which was open.
“Anyone home?” I called out, peeking my head in.
“We’re in the back bedroom,” Jamie called out.
I walked inside and made my way back to her roommate’s room.
“Looks like you got most of it already,” I said, glancing around.
Jamie and Katherine, her roommate, stood next to a massive wooden dresser.
“You’re just in time,” my sister said with a smile.
“Hey, Tony,” Katherine said.
She smiled at me like she always did. I wasn’t interested in her, but I played nice.
“Hey, Katherine. How have you been?”
“I’d be better if we went out on that date.”
I cracked a smile then turned to Jamie.
“You need help with that dresser?”
“Duh. We’ll get this end if you get the other.”
As we carried the ancient wooden dresser outside and to the truck, I thought about how to get rid of Katherine. I wanted to talk to my sister about Heidi alone.
I stopped after setting the dresser down in the back of the truck.
“You have a minute, Jamie?”
“Sure. What’s up?”
Katherine looked on, smiling.
“It’s personal,” I said to her.
“Oh. I’m sorry.”
She walked down the ramp coming out of the back of the truck.
“That was kinda rude,” Jamie said. “Everything okay?”
“I’m not sure. This new woman…”
My voice trailed off. I still wasn’t sure what I thought about her.
Jamie tilted her head to the side as she stared at me.
“What about her?”
“That’s the problem. I’m not sure.”
“You think she’s after your money?”
“No. She just won five million in the lottery.”
“What? Get out of here.”
“I’m serious. She showed me the ticket last night.”
“So, what’s the problem? Doesn’t she want you anymore?”
“That’s the thing. I’m not sure, and it’s driving me crazy.”
She laughed.
“You’re always sure, Tony. Something is going on. Do you think it’s…”
“Don’t say that word,” I interrupted.
A smile lit up her face.
“Big bro is in love finally,” she said smugly. “I knew it would happen. You going to let me meet this woman?”
“I don’t know. Probably. Forget I brought it up, okay?”
“She must be serious if you’re talking to me about her.”
“I met her at a strip club.”
Her eyebrow raised.
“Oh?”
“Yeah, but she’s not like most women.”
“I don’t know. She sounds like she’s more trouble than she’s worth. Has she changed how she acts since she won the lottery?”
“Kinda. She left last night instead of staying over.”
Jamie continued smiling.
“I’m not used to seeing you all confused like this, but I’m liking it.”
“Cut it out,” I said, walking around her to the back of the truck.
“I’m just playing, Tony,” she said.
We stood side-by-side, looking down the tree-lined street.
“If it’s love, it will work out, but with where you met her, I’m not sure she’s worth the trouble.”
“She’s special, though. There’s this spark.”
I turned to face Jamie. She rolled her eyes.
“That’s what you always say.”
“Yeah, but it’s different this time. I can’t explain it.”
“Sounds like love,” she teased.
“I’m being serious, Jamie.”
“So am I. Did you really think you would go through your whole life without settling down?”
“You haven’t?”
“Exactly. Every family only needs one black sheep. You were meant to have a family. I’m surprised it took this long.”
“I’m not marrying her yet,” I muttered.
“No, but she’s had an effect on you. I’ve never seen you like this before.”
“Don’t get used to it,” I said, walking down the ramp.
“You’re going to help with the rest of the furniture, right?”
“Of course.”
I heard her climb down the metal ramp as I headed toward the house. Katherine stood in the doorway, smiling at me. She stepped aside as I approached.
After helping them with the rest of Katherine’s furniture, I excused myself and went back to my house. Whatever it was between me and Heidi, I had to figure it out before the season started.
FOURTEEN
Tony
The next day, after not hearing from her, Heidi showed up at my house unannounced. I didn’t mind at all as I saw her standing on my porch afte
r opening the door.
“Hey,” she said, smiling.
“Hey. You’re here.”
“Yeah, I was going to call, but I got distracted. You mind if I come in?”
“No, not at all.”
I stepped aside. She walked in.
“Well, I talked to Basil, your money guy.”
“And?” I asked as I shut the door.
“I’m going to have the money in two weeks.”
She smiled and clasped her hands together.
“That’s great,” I said with very little emotion.
Her smile faded.
“I’m sorry about yesterday and the other night.”
“Yeah? Sorry for what?”
“Running out on you and not having time. You mean a lot to me, Tony.”
“We just met a while ago, and…”
She cut me off with a kiss on the lips, her body pressed against mine.
“Let me make it up to you,” she said in a sexy voice.
“Go on. I’m listening.”
Her hands on my chest slid to my stomach as she dropped to her knees in front of me. I inhaled deeply, knowing what was about to happen.
Many women had given be blowjobs before, but when Heidi wrapped her lips around my cock, it was on another level, so much better.
She peered up at me from the floor, her green eyes open so wide. I took another deep breath while looking down at her beautiful face.
When she got my pants unbuttoned, she pulled them down with my boxer-briefs. My flaccid cock swung back and forth as she studied it.
I put my hands on my hips as she wrapped her cool, delicate fingers around my cock. Holding it up, she stared into my eyes, her wet, pink tongue out.
Damn, woman. Stop teasing me.
As she licked around the head, gripping the shaft tightly, I dropped my arms to my sides. She stood and began taking off her clothes.
I reached down and gave my cock a few tugs as she undressed, exposing her damn-near perfect body. Her breasts were not huge, but I loved them.
She stepped forward and pressed her naked body against mine. The sensation of her soft breasts on my hard chest drove me wild as we kissed.
I thrust my tongue into her mouth forcefully. She sucked on it then swirled her own tongue around a few times before moving her kisses to my neck.
Slowly, she kissed lower on my body. Chest. Stomach. Even lower. On her knees, she stared up at me again while grabbing my half-hard cock.
I watched attentively as her lips parted and the tip of my dick slid into her mouth. Pleasure times a thousand hit me as blood rushed between my legs.
She stroked, sucked, licked and teased me until I was rock hard in her tiny hand, my head shiny and purple. Her lips wrapped around the tip then moved lower.
I put my hands on her head as it bobbed up and down, taking more than half of my rock-solid nine inches. Something about the spontaneity of it all made it that much better.
Within a minute of her started, I felt an orgasm building as my balls tightened and became harder. She slowed down, still moving her lips over my smooth shaft.
I needed her to continue. The feeling was new for me. Most women, I didn’t care one way or another if they finished because another was right around the corner.
With Heidi, I had to have her finish me off with only her mouth. Would she let me come in her mouth? The sensation of shooting my seed into her wet, warm and willing mouth hit my thoughts.
I took a deep breath, trying to control my runaway breathing. It was hard. All of it. My cock. Staying in control of my body. With Heidi, I wanted to let go. Literally and figuratively.
Her hand and mouth moved as a single unit, slurping and sucking my hard cock closer and closer to point of no return. Should I tell her I’m about to come hard and fast?
When I tapped the top of her head, she sped up instead of slowing down, keeping her lips wrapped tightly around my cock-flesh. Fuck! This woman is so…
“I’m coming,” I grunted as the moment arrived.
My ass cheeks clenched together as the entire universe concentrated between my legs. I popped, and she did not stop, still sucking as my body shook.
“Fuck,” I muttered, my cock suddenly super-sensitive.
She pulled back, my hot, warm seed running out of her mouth, this crazed look in her eyes. I stepped back as she continued stroking.
“Wow,” I said as I caught my breath.
My chest rose and fell quickly as she got to her feet. Still naked, she pressed her body against mine and leaned up on her toes to kiss me.
Our lips and tongues danced and moved together as if they were the best of friends. Pleasure still shot through my body as I enjoyed the afterglow.
I put my arms around her waist and pulled her closer as I looked into her eyes. She grinned, making me fall even more in love with her. Love? No, not that…
“Wow,” I repeated, still at a loss for words that made sense.
She giggled.
“You can make it up to me sometime.”
“I need a minute or two at least,” I said. “But I’ve got the whole day.”
“Maybe some other time. We don’t have to just fuck.”
“I know, but that was amazing. Jamie was wrong about you.”
“Uh oh. You talked to your sister about me?”
“Yeah, but it was good. She wants to meet you.”
“Double uh oh.”
“She’s going to like you,” I said. “Don’t worry.”
“Did you tell her what I do?”
“That you were a dancer? Yeah.”
“I mean, I’m still a dancer.”
“You’re not quitting?” I asked, pulling back.
“I think so, but I’m not sure yet. It’s all happening so fast, you know?”
“Yeah, but…”
I stopped talking, not wanting to ruin the moment.
“But what?”
“Nothing. It doesn’t matter. You want to go meet Jamie today? Or do you have other plans?”
She grinned.
“I’m all yours for the next twenty-four hours.”
“Well, meeting Jamie will take one or two. I guess we’ll have to come up with something else to do with all that time.”
“I guess so,” she said then kissed me again. “Can I use your shower?”
“Of course, but we’ll have to shower together to save money.”
She rolled her eyes.
“Come on,” I said, taking her hand. “The master bathroom is upstairs.”
As we walked to the second floor of my home, to the huge bathroom, my thoughts were going a million miles a second. Was this the real thing like Jamie said? Why did it feel so different?
“You got quiet,” she said as we climbed the stairs.
“I’m just thinking.”
“About what?”
“Oh, you know. Us.”
“There’s an us now?” she asked, turning to look at me.
I stopped at the top of the stairs and turned to face her.
“You don’t think so?”
“Well, yeah, sure. I guess.”
“You don’t sound too convinced.”
“This is all just moving so fast. First there was you. And then the money from the lottery. I’m still processing it all, you know?”
“Yeah. I do.”
I leaned down and kissed her while patting her ass.
“Oh,” she exclaimed.
We showered together, warm water running down our bodies as we soaped each other up. My thoughts turned to how her and Jamie would get along. Would they at all?
I hoped so.
* * *
I parked in Jamie’s driveway.
“Did you call her and let her know we were coming?” Heidi asked.
“Nah. She’ll be here. Her roommate just moved out.”
“I’m nervous.”
“Don’t be.” I reached over and put my hand on her arm. “She’s going to love you compared to some
of the dumb, crazy women I’ve dated over the years.”
She smiled. I opened my door and got out of the car. Walking around the front, I met her. Together, we made our way to the front door of my sister’s house.
Why am I so nervous?
I knocked twice then slipped an arm around Heidi’s waist.
The door opened, and I saw Jamie holding a half-empty bottle of tequila, not a good sign.
“What are you doing here?” she asked, staring straight at Heidi.
“Hey, sis. You said you wanted to meet the love of my life, and here we are.”
She turned her evil gaze toward me, obviously unhappy.
“We can come back some other time,” Heidi said. “We should have called. Your sister has something going on.”
“Damn straight, I do,” Jamie said, slurring her words and almost falling over.
“Why are you drinking again?” I asked, upset to see her off the wagon.
“My roommate moved out, and my life is shit,” she said, stumbling backward.
I walked inside and turned to motion for Heidi to come in.
“What are you even doing here?” Jamie asked then sobbed.
“Give me the bottle,” I said after shutting the front door.
Jamie stepped back and ran into the dining room table.
“Here, let me help,” Heidi said, moving toward her.
“Stop, slut,” Jamie hissed in an evil tone alcohol brought out in her.
Heidi stopped in her tracks.
“Come on, Jamie. We’ll leave, but cut it out. You don’t even know Heidi.”
“I’ve heard enough,” my sister said.
Heidi swung her head to look at me.
“What did you tell her exactly?” she asked.
“Only where we met and that I have feelings for you.”
“You have feelings for me, huh?” Heidi demanded. “Is that all it is?”
Jamie burst into laughter then fell to the floor, dropping the bottle of liquor. I stared at her, shaking my head. Heidi kneeled next to her, putting a hand on my sister’s back.
“You okay?” she asked.
“Noooo…” Jamie groaned, pulling away.
Heidi glanced up at me. I shrugged my shoulders, not understanding what the hell was going on with her. Something had to have triggered her and led to the drinking.
I should have talked to her more earlier.
