“Before I put them on you the other night, had you ever had clips attached to your nipples?”

Too aroused for embarrassment, Veronica nodded, struggling for composure. “Yes. I bought some and tried them. They hurt so badly I threw them out.”

Sin smiled and released her nipples, massaging them as the blood rushed back into them.

“Poor baby. So eager to be dominated that you even tried it on yourself. Not very fulfilling, was it?”

“No. Please. Oh please!” Rubbing her thighs together did nothing to relieve her aching clit.

Sin smiled and leaned closer, gripping her chin and brushing his lips over hers. “Keep your hands on your lap. Please what, Veronica?”

Leaning closer, she kissed him feverishly, loving the feel of his lips on hers. “I need to come.”

She gasped at the sharp tug to her nipple, crying out and rushing to cover it with her hands.

She realized her mistake almost immediately, even before Sin straightened, his eyes narrowed, glittering with ice. He increased the pressure on her nipple. “Put those hands back where they were.”

Hurriedly dropping her hands to her lap again, Veronica gasped.

“I’m so sorry. I’m sorry. Please. It hurts.”

Releasing her nipple, Sin sat back, his features appearing carved in stone.

“You’re very undisciplined. I’ll take your inexperience into account, but I won’t tolerate your interference in whatever I do to you. If you want to use your safe word, use it. If not, do as you’re told.”

The blood rushing back into her nipple and the remnants of pain had need clawing at her. Because of it, her words tumbled out of their own accord.

  “I’m sorry. I’ll be good, I swear.”

Under his thoughtful stare, her cheeks burned even hotter.

His reaction, though, melted away her embarrassment and made her feel even closer to him.

His eyes flared with heat, his tender smile making her desperate to please him, and she found herself rubbing against the hand he used to cup her cheek.

“I know you’re going to do your best to be a good girl for me. Unfortunately, your passion makes you forget yourself at times. You need a firm hand to guide you.”

Looking directly into his eyes, she knew she’d found everything she’d ever searched for, and she wanted him to know it. “Yes, Sir. You’re exactly what I need. Everything I need.”

His smile fell, and he was silent for several long seconds, appearing thoughtful as he caressed her cheek almost absently. “We’ll see.”

Embarrassed at her forwardness, she ducked her head.

“Are you sure I shouldn’t pack anything?”

“I’m sure.” Smiling, Sin ran his hand up and down her back. “Submissives have a strict dress code on the island and must wear special clothing that’s provided by their Masters.”

Veronica blinked, shocked at that piece of information. “So all the submissives are dressed the same?” She knew she had a good body, but she suspected there would be women there with even better ones, and she wanted to stand out for Sin.

“Not exactly. Your top will be nothing more than a strip of material with a clasp in the center, your skirt a length of material with a clasp on the side. There’s a variety of colors and materials, some opaque and some transparent. I got the swatches and ordered your clothing earlier in the week. I’ll buy the rest when we get there.”

Veronica sat up and gaped at him. “You already bought clothing for me?”

“Of course.” His hands closed on her waist, and he lifted her to her feet. “Everything you need will be provided. Come on. The plane will be waiting.”

  Chapter Eleven

Seated beside Veronica on the small private plane that would take them to the island, Sin hid a smile at the excitement in her eyes.

  “You look amazing.”

She’d worn a black skirt and jacket, with a silky purple blouse that hugged her curves and made his fingers itch to explore.

Her nervousness shone in her sparkling eyes and in the way she kept fidgeting in her seat.

When the attendant came with their breakfast, Veronica started to refuse, but he gave her a sharp look.

“I know you’re nervous, but you’ll eat some of it at least.”

After they’d eaten and their breakfast dishes had been taken away, he reached inside the pocket of his jacket and retrieved the contract.

Watching her, he spread it out on her tray and handed her a pen.

  “Sign.”

Nodding, she took the pen and signed her name, her hand shaking when she handed it back to him.

“I just signed a paper giving myself to you for the next week.” Her breath caught, her eyes dark with the combination of excitement and fear. “It feels so strange.”

Leaning close, he gripped her chin, turning her face to his. “You’re so damned adorable.”

He took her lips with his, deepening his kiss and drinking in the sweet taste of her.

She responded to his kiss—to his touch—immediately, leaning into him with a soft moan.

When he lifted his head to stare down at her, she smiled, a smile that made his chest swell.

Reaching up to cup his cheek, she giggled, a sound that warmed him inside in a way so foreign to him that he stiffened.

“I’ve never been called adorable before.”

Taking her hand in his, Sin kissed her palm. “That’s because the men you’ve dated haven’t appreciated you.”

Grinning, Veronica sipped her fruit juice. “I can’t believe that I had to sign next to your name to say that you’re my Master and that I’m on the island of my own free will. They get a lot of kidnapped women on the island?”

Sin accepted a refill of coffee before answering. “No, but Gabriel and the others are meticulous when it comes to the island. It’s a great escape for a lot of people, and they don’t want any trouble.”

“Oh.” Reading again, she shook her head. “I understand that I can go to any hotel employee and ask for help and they will provide me with a safe place and arrange to get me off the island.”

“Yes.” Sin sipped his coffee. “They want the submissives to feel completely safe.”

Veronica tilted her head to the side, glancing at him several times.

  “What is it, Veronica?”

Drawing in a deep breath, she toyed with her coffee cup. “When I read the contract the first time, I glanced over a lot of it, but when I read it again, I was a little surprised. It says that you agree to keep me safe, care for my needs, and be responsible for me. You have to clothe me, feed me, and answer for any of my transgressions.”

Sin finished his coffee and set his cup aside. “I do.”

Frowning, Veronica turned to him again. “I didn’t realize you had so much responsibility.”

“I told you that a Dom is responsible for his submissive.”

He couldn’t imagine anything more satisfying than taking care of Veronica.

“This is different, though. Isn’t it?”

Amused, Sin took her empty cup and handed both to the attendant. “Different from what?”

When she lifted her gaze to his again, he could see that her cheeks were flushed. “From the people at the club. It’s going to be hard for you to do this for one week instead of one night.”

Inclining his head, Sin allowed a small smile, his chest swelling at the thought of being responsible for Veronica in every way. “Oh, I have a feeling it’ll be worth it.”

It would be more intense and intimate than anything he’d ever experienced before, and he looked forward to cherishing every moment with her.

Dropping her head back against the headrest, she regarded him steadily.

“This is all new to you, too?”

Taking her hand in his, Sin ran his thumb over her fingers.

“Being with a sub and being responsible for her twenty-four-seven is a lot different than just being part of a scene with her. Sleeping with a wo

man is one thing. Dominating a sub is something entirely different.”

Veronica smiled again, snuggling against his side.

“You’ve been with a lot of women. I can’t believe you’ve never done this before.”

Wrapping an arm around her, he pulled her closer, pillowing her head on his chest.

“Bringing up the subject of my sexual desires isn’t easy, something that you should understand well.”

Lifting her head, Veronica turned to him, frowning again.

“I guess I never really thought about it from your point of view. I guess you and I have had the same problem.”

Sin settled her against his chest again, burying his lips in her hair. “We seem to have both found the solution.”

After several minutes of silence, she turned to him again, her eyes guarded.

“But it’s only fantasy, isn’t it? What you and I are doing. It could never be real.”

Fearing that she might see too much, Sin pulled her down again. “Some people make their fantasy a reality.”

“But sex isn’t enough for anything lasting.”

Sin took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. “What’s between us goes beyond just sex. I told you that the intimacy that can exist between a Dominant and his submissive can be very intense.”

Tracing a pattern on his thigh, Veronica stilled.

“Do you think that kind of relationship can last?”

Sin smiled, thinking of Gabriel and the other owners of the island.

“I know people who have that kind of relationship. They’re very close and very devoted to each other.”

  “Oh.”

The flight attendant paused next to them with a smile. “We’ll be landing in just a few minutes.”

“Thank you.” Sin checked to make sure Veronica’s seatbelt was still fastened and gestured toward the contract.

“Remember, when we get to the island, you’re not to speak with anyone without my permission.”

  “No one?”

Smiling, Sin kissed her, nibbling at her bottom lip before straightening again, “Not even the waiter. You’re not to even say thank you. If you want something, you come to me for it. I’ll take care of it.”

  * * * *

Staring out the window, Veronica gasped at her first look at the island, transfixed by its beauty.

Palm trees. White sand. Turquoise water.

“Where are the guests? I don’t see anyone except men in white uniforms.”

“That’s because it’s private. The airport and the resort are on opposite sides of the island. You won’t see any other guests until we’ve checked into the hotel.”

Sin’s words proved to be correct.

After getting off the plane, they rode in a limo to the hotel, passing a large construction site on the way.

Pointing to it, she turned to Sin. “What’s that?”

Sin ran a hand over her breast. “The new condos they’re building. They’ll have the same amenities and rules as the hotel, but they’re for people who plan to visit more often or who just want a place of their own.”

In no time at all they arrived at the resort and were escorted to the front desk, where a man in a crisp, white uniform greeted Sin with a formality that surprised Veronica.

“Mr. Majors, here’s your key. The clothing you ordered is already hanging in the closet. If there’s any problem with any of it, please let us know.” Almost as tall as Sin, the dark-haired desk clerk handed the key card to Sin.

Accepting it, Sin inclined his head. “Thank you.”

Looking around, Veronica couldn’t help but be impressed by what seemed like miles of marble.

Gleaming white, it covered the floors and walls of the lobby.

  Even the front desk.

Flowers of every color lined the lobby in large elegant vases with clean lines that accentuated the flowers and screamed of sophistication.

The slight breeze that blew through the open-ended lobby filled the air with their sweet scents.

Amused that the desk clerk didn’t even glance at her, Veronica turned away to look around, stopping abruptly when Sin gripped her hand and pulled her to his side with a look of warning.

The desk clerk continued as though nothing had happened.

“The appointment you requested is set up for noon. She will, of course, have to change before then.”

  “Of course. Thank you.”

Once Sin pulled out the contract and handed it over to the desk clerk, they were shown to a suite even larger and more beautiful than the one Sin had stayed in back in Washington D.C.

Her gaze was drawn to the large turquoise sectional sofa with at least a dozen pillows in bright colors.

The large screen television on the wall in front of it stood flanked by two small tables with vases filled with more of the flowers she’d seen in the lobby.

Next to it, the wall of large windows disappeared as the bellhop showed Sin how to push them aside, opening the space to a terrace, complete with chaise lounges and small tables.

The view of the beach and ocean beyond stole her breath.

Drawn, she crossed the room, breathing in the scent of sweet, slightly salty air as she made her way across the terrace to the solid wall of marble around it.

Her pulse tripped when she looked down at the beach and saw several men and women relaxing on the beach and playing in the water.

Most of the women were naked, but some wore brightly colored strips of material, some around their hips and breasts and some just around their hips, leaving their breasts free.

Remembering what Sin had told her, she realized that she would be wearing the same thing.

She counted six couples, her heart racing at the erotic intimacy so evident between them.

Each couple appeared to stay to themselves, and it was obvious, even to the most casual observer, that the submissives were subservient to their Masters.

They watched them and moved readily at the slightest gesture from their Masters.

It was also blindingly apparent, even from such a distance, that the Masters paid close attention to their submissives, reacting to the slightest movement.

One submissive, more intent on finding shells than where she was going, almost ran into another Dominant.

Veronica saw her Master stiffen and say something that had her scurrying back to his side.

Another couple played in the water, and when the woman slipped, her Dominant caught her at once, lifting her into his arms, and started back to the shore.

It became apparent that the submissive wanted to go back into the water, but a sharp look from her Master had her quieting and laying her head on his shoulder without further argument.

Wondering if she and Sin could create such a bond between them in just a week, Veronica sighed.

There appeared to be no shyness in the way they touched each other, but although two of the women appeared to be in the throes of passion, their Masters’ hands between their thighs, Veronica couldn’t hear their cries over the music playing and small waves breaking.

Veronica felt Sin’s presence behind her just before his arms came around her.

“I can’t believe this place.” Sucking in a breath when he removed her jacket, Veronica fisted her hands on the short wall in front of her.

Sin unzipped her skirt, allowing it to pool at her feet.

  “It’s not polite to stare.”

“I know. It’s just fascinating to watch them together.” Her breath caught with each button he unbuttoned, a moan escaping when he slid her blouse from her shoulders and his lips touched her neck.

“It’s more fascinating to watch you.”

Nuzzling her neck and shoulders, he unclasped her bra and tossed it on the chaise with her other clothing. His hands covered her breasts, his thumbs moving over her nipples.

  “Sin!”

She jolted when his fingers closed on her nipples, shivering at the threatening scrape of teeth over her neck.

Excuse me?”

Fire shot to her slit, from her clit to her bottom, weakening her knees.

Gripping his forearms, she leaned back against him.

  “I mean Sir!”

“Good girl.” He massaged her nipples, his hands sliding down her sides. “Now that we’re here, you’re all mine.”

He hooked his thumbs into the sides of her panties, kneeling behind her to remove them.

The feel of his lips on her ass had her grabbing onto the marble wall for support.

For the first time in her life, she stood outside with the sun and warm breeze on her naked body.

Taking her hand in his, he turned her toward him, smiling down at her before letting his gaze rake over her.

“Come inside. I want to check your wardrobe and we have to get you dressed for your appointment. I don’t want you to be late.”

As he led her through the main room, she saw a small kitchenette, complete with a bar, which she hadn’t noticed before.

  “This is all so beautiful.”

Walking naked on heels while Sin remained fully dressed made her feel sexy as hell, especially when his hand slid over her bottom.

“So are you.” With a long look, he led her into the bedroom. “Sit on the bed so I can take off your shoes.”

Stunned, Veronica could only gape at the bedroom, her gaze moving from one erotic sight to the next.

The four-poster bed stood prominently in the center of the room, but it was the leather straps attached to all four posts that caught her attention.

Moving slowly to the bed, she took in the midnight blue satin sheets and the large assortment of pillows in every shape and size.

“I told you to sit down, Veronica.”

Nodding, she gulped and moved to the bed, surprised to realize that it was so high that she had to climb onto it.

Chuckling, Sin used the key card to open a closet. “There are steps on the other side for you to use as well.” After opening the door, he paused to look at her. “I have to say that I like the look of you naked on a bed of blue silk.”

He turned back to inspect the items hanging in the closet, fingering several before choosing one.

Watching him, Veronica lifted her leg to reach the buckle of her shoe, pausing when Sin gave her a sharp look.
