Cale expended a heavy breath. “The things I sacrifice for my crown.”
“Will be well worth it.” She knelt beside him, tipping his head back with a hand beneath his rough chin so she could slant her lips over his for a leisurely taste, teasing him lightly with a flicker of her tongue. She lifted up a scant inch or two to challenge, “Spend the time wondering where I want to touch you next.”
“I have a better idea,” he rumbled, his eyes glowing with intense, passionate fire as his fingers combed through the tumble of her hair. They suddenly tightened. He urged, “Show me now,” and pulled her into the water with him.
As the new ruler of his House, Cale Terriot planned to make the seeding of heirs his immediate priority.
He found his queen in complete agreement.
