Dakota's Claim Page 12

“Tawny?” He rose up, feeling a little taken aback by her sudden tears. “Baby, are those good or bad tears?”

She sniffed, looked at him, and then at the ring again, and then her smile came forth like a damn burst of electricity.

“Yes, Dakota. Yes, I’ll marry you.”

He had her in his arms and off the bed a second later. Dakota held all of her weight, kept her tightly to him, and inhaled deeply. This was his woman, soon to be his wife, and he hoped in the near future the mother of his children.

“But I want a big wedding, Dakota. No courthouse or eloping.” She pulled back, her tears staining her cheeks, but her smile still present.

“Anything for you, baby.” He leaned in and kissed her. “I’ll give you the biggest fucking wedding you can handle.”

She chuckled against his lips, and then he went back to holding her. This was his life now, and damn what a good life it was.
