“Ambassador Kaji, I am honored to welcome you to our planet, and look forward to opening a new era in relations between our two people.” Kennan gurgled, and the Earth Ambassador laughed down at him.
“Maybe between all peoples. We will work to make the universe a better place for all children, little one.”
‘Imagine’, thought Kaji, ‘imagine that all children could be safe and loved …’
‘Kaji, Kaji, wake up, you’re having a nightmare!’
He struggled up through the fog of sleep, and stared up into the worried face of his beloved Deka. Adam was on his other side, stroking his head, and all three of them held onto each other and rocked back and forth until Kaji’s breathing slowed to normal. He stroked Deka’s rounded belly, and smiled over at where Kennan lay sleeping.
‘Not a nightmare, beloved, just a quite vivid dream. A dream hoping that our family will be safe, together and always one, and that all children will always be safe.’
‘How difficult could that be?’

The adventures of everyone’s favorite blue aliens continue! Yes, I know, I said it was going to be a trilogy, but I lost control a long time ago. Aliens can be like that.
