Carla shook her head and laughed. “You can be such a nightmare at times. Yes, it’s all Des’s fault.”
“I’m only teasing. I don’t have to tell you how happy I am for you. What about the distance?”
“It’s not that far. He’s still working with the other team for now, but when he has to return to Worcester, well, it’s less than an hour by train, not that far really, is it?”
“Worth the trip, I’d say.” Sara winked. She raised her glass of wine and chinked it against Carla’s. “To a bright future for us all.”
“To a bright future.” Carla sipped her drink and glanced over the top of her glass, a mischievous twinkle developing in her eye.
