Drake laughed dropping a light kiss on her nose.

  “Promise.”

“Okay,” she grumbled jokingly, then stepped out when the driver opened her door.

The music was already playing, but it stopped long enough for the DJ to announce their arrival. Then it started pumping again.

Despite her reservations, Mia danced until her feet hurt. She sat down at the table, kicking her shoes off as she looked around the room with a smile.

The day had been perfect, with one exception: the continued standoff between Jordan and Ty. They’d been amicable enough, as neither wanted to ruin the day for her or Drake, but Mia wished she knew what the cause of the problem between the two of them was, so she could fix it.

“What’s causing that frown on my bride’s face?” Drake asked as he joined her, setting a glass on the table in front of her as he drank from his own.

“Just wishing I could help Ty and Jordan.”

“That’s for them to figure out, babe,” Drake said, leaning in to kiss her softly on the side of her neck, just under her ear.

  Mia sighed.

“I know, I just want them to be happy.”

“I want you to be happy,” Drake countered, his voice low.

Mia turned to look in her husband’s milk chocolate eyes and promised, “I couldn’t be happier.”

“Me too,” he said, as he leaned down for a kiss.

Before his lips touched hers, Mia said, “I bet I could make you happier.”

Drake paused a breath away and cocked his head, “You can, can you?”

Mia bit her lower lip to keep from smiling like crazy and nodded.

“How’s that?” he asked, his eyes turning suggestive as he misread her intent.

Unable to keep it to herself anymore, Mia brought her hands up to turn his head and whispered in his ear.

  “I’m pregnant.”

Drake’s head turned slowly back so that he looked at her face.

  “Really?”

Mia started to say yes, but before she could get the word out, she was lifted out of her chair and spun around the room.

The music stopped when Drake roared with delight.

“We’re having babies!” Drake shouted to the room, causing everyone to start clapping.

Mia was laughing as her friends rushed to hug her, and she accepted their thanks with a smile before what Drake had said penetrated. She turned to her husband, who was happily clapping Ty on the shoulder, and asked, “Babies?”

Tyson grinned at Drake and said, “Looks like you two need some alone time.” He gave her a wink before turning and walking away.

Mia crossed to Drake, whose arms immediately came around her and cradled her as if she were made of glass.

  “Plural?” she prompted.

Drake smiled down at her and said, “It’s not uncommon for us to have three or more children at once.”

“Three or more?” Mia asked, suddenly worried.

“Don’t worry, babe, it’ll be fine. I’ll be with you through all of it.”

“We’re going to be busy,” Mia replied, chewing on her lower lip as she thought of all of the diapers and supplies they’d need. And clothes. And furniture.

“Hey,” Drake said, pulling her attention back to him. “We’ll be fine… better than fine. Okay?” When Mia nodded, he traced her lower lip with his finger tip and gave her a wicked grin. “But you’re right, we will be busy, so I think we should get out of here now and start enjoying our time together as husband and wife, before our family gets a lot bigger. What do you say? You ready to get out of here?”

“Absolutely,” she replied, then laughed happily when he lifted her in to his arms and marched out of the reception without a backwards glance.

Drake knew that Mia was his mate when he first laid eyes on her at fifteen years old. The last thing he ever expected was for her to be taken away from him and for her not to return to their small Montana town until twelve years later.

Mia loved Drake with all of her young heart, but when all of her letters went unanswered, she assumed her parents were telling the truth when they said he'd moved on. Now, her mother's in the hospital and she's forced to return to Spring Creek, Montana and face him after all this time.

Drake's been waiting for his mate to return home, to get answers for why she left without looking back, and to claim her as his. Now Mia's back where she belongs, in his bed and in his arms, but someone is still trying to keep them apart. Little do they know that Drake is her bear for life, and has no intention of ever letting her go again.

Her Bear for Life is STANDALONE in the Second Chance Shifter Series. It contains a strong willed heroine, a sexy as hell Clan Chief, and sex in all the right places.

  Excerpt:

Large hands grasped her arms to steady her, and Mia brought her head up, having to keep craning her neck further back to look into the face of the man who caught her.

At five foot ten inches, with plenty of hips, ass, and breasts to spare, Mia was no shrinking violet, but the man holding her made her feel as delicate as that flower. He had to be six foot five if he was an inch, with a powerful build and a well-groomed beard. The entirety of him would have been intimidating, if it wasn’t for those eyes. Like hot chocolate on a cold winter’s day, they soothed her even as they warmed her from the inside out.

Mia hadn’t forgotten those eyes, the effect they had on her, or the tenacity with which she’d loved the boy they belonged to. But the owner of those eyes was no longer a boy… No, Drake was all man.

A man whose intensity hadn’t dimmed in the slightest; if anything, it had increased, and Drake was looking at her as if he wasn’t sure whether he wanted to throttle her or throw her down right there in the airport lobby and claim her.

One look at his face, one second back in his arms, and Mia was already hoping for door number two.
