“We need to get back,” he murmured eventually.

Her face fell. “I’m not going back to that hospital,” she said adamantly, straightening up.

He smiled. “No, I mean we need to get back home, to Refrainia.”

  “Oh.” She sighed with relief.

“But if you really don’t want to go back to the emergency room I’d better see about removing this for you.” Farris nodded at the cannula in her arm as he removed a clean handkerchief from his pocket.

Ademia frowned. “But where’s Dr. Jay? Didn’t he come with you?”

“He’s not around just at the minute, but he’s fine. Just you sit there a minute.”

Farris sat her on the bench and crouched down in front of her with the handkerchief still in one hand. “This might hurt just a tiny bit, but only for a second.”

Very gently, he slid the small tube out of her arm and dabbed at a few spots of blood with the soft cotton handkerchief.

  “You OK, little lady?”

She gawped at him. “Yes, but…how did you know how to do that?” She was amazed at his competence.

“Oh, I’ve picked up the odd thing or two in my time,” he replied with a grin. After satisfying himself that the bleeding had stopped, he wrapped the cannula in the handkerchief and put it in a nearby bin.

Ademia hugged him tightly as he helped her to her feet. “Will Dr. Jay be meeting us at the harbor?”

“No, he’s not coming with us this time, love. I’ll explain on the way home,” he promised as they set off.

Ademia stared wide-eyed as Farris told her the whole story of Dr. Jay and the bitch. She started to cry when she realized that they hadn’t abandoned her at all, and that Dr. Jay had been with her all night. She understood why Farris had had to return home, and was so grateful that he had come looking for her.

Farris held her while she wept. It had been a traumatic day and she still wasn’t really well.

“I think Dr. Ernaut wanted you to stay in hospital for another day or two,” he confided when she finally stopped. “I wasn’t going to let you out of my sight any longer, though.”

She smiled through her tears and snuggled into him even further.

“You are OK, aren’t you?” he asked, gently lifting her chin so he could see her face.

  “I’m fine.” She nodded.

He frowned. The back of his hand came up to her forehead.

“You have to let me know if you start feeling ill, little lady, d’ya hear?”

  She nodded again.

“Here, put this over you,” he said, covering her with a soft blanket. It felt so much fluffier than the elmwood leaves they usually used as covers.

He cradled her in his arm while he used the other hand to steer the boat. It was starting to get dark and he had already lit the lamps around the boat.

Ademia watched the flame of one of the oil lamps dancing in the soft breeze, as the soft rock of the boat and Farris’s warmth lulled her off to sleep.

It wasn’t too long before Farris was mooring up in the little harbor at Refrainia. He lifted the sleeping girl into his arms and carried her up the hill to the big house. Placing her in her little bed, he covered her over before making his way to his own room. He sighed as he lay in his lonely bed. It had been a truly harrowing day, and he wondered how Jay was faring in a police cell.

He was just dozing off when he heard sobbing. He shot out of bed and pulled on some shorts before going down the hall to Ademia’s room. He stood outside the door. Sure enough, she was breaking her heart in there.

“Hey, little lady, what’s all this?”

He knelt at the side of her bed and stroked her hair. Her big blue eyes widened as she saw him through the dark.

  “Farris?”

She flung her arms around his neck and sobbed into his bare chest. When she had recovered a little, he lifted her face up to meet his. Her swollen eyes blinked up at him.

“I…I woke up and I was on my own. I thought you’d left me again,” she spluttered as tears ran down her face once more.

He chuckled deep in his throat as he kissed the top of her head.

“Now you listen to me, little lady,” he said in a soft voice.

“The only time I will ever leave you is when I know Dr. Jay or someone else is looking after you. I’m never leaving you on your own completely, d’ya hear? You mean way too much to me.”

She sniffed and looked up into his concerned face.

  “I–I do?” she stammered.

He sniggered again and rubbed his finger over the tip of her nose.

“Of course you do, love, surely you know how I feel about you?”

She shook her head slowly. She knew how she felt about him and Dr. Jay. She hoped they felt the same way about her but she wasn’t sure. None of them had ever actually spoken about how they felt.

Stroking her cheek, he giggled again, and shook his head.

“Well I guess I better spell it out to you, huh?”

She nodded. Something lurched in her stomach. Hope.

He smiled. “I love you, little lady,” he said. “Jay feels the same way. We want you to stay with us, live with us. We love having you around and can’t bear to be without you. Last night damn near killed me. This house is way too empty without you in it. I can only guess how Jay’s feeling right now, and that ain’t good. We love you, Ademia, you should know that.”

Tears filled her eyes again, but this time they were tears of joy. Her stomach was doing somersaults and she felt herself flush. This was a dream come true. All she needed now was Dr. Jay to be here and her life would be perfect.

“I love you, Farris,” she whispered.

  He smiled.

“There room in there for me? I promise I’ll be a gentleman.” He gestured to the bed and she realized he must be cold on the floor.

She nodded, grateful that he had left her bikini on when he had put her to bed. She was even more relieved when he stood up and she noticed he was wearing shorts.

Farris climbed into the little bed and held Ademia close to his body. His heat soothed her and she relished the feeling of his flesh next to hers. She felt safe in his arms, and loved. His heartbeat thumped in her ear, a slow, steady rhythm. His gorgeous, masculine scent surrounded her. As she drifted off into a peaceful sleep, she almost regretted him being such a gentleman.

  * * * *

Dr. Jay lay on a hard bench in a tiny cell that smelled of sweat. The musty blanket he had been given with which to keep warm was hardly big enough to cover his torso, and he could only lie on his back, as any attempt at another position would certainly land him on the floor. He sighed, cursing himself for the hundredth time about his stupidity. Even after Aitan had warned him to steer clear of the bitch, he had allowed himself to get caught in that situation. He really was a fool!

It had been a comfort to know that Farris had arrived on the island. He had heard from the police that Ademia had been found and returned home. He would be eternally grateful to his friend for that. He knew Farris would have been irked that he hadn’t been able to see him, but at least he had been informed of the situation, and had looked after Ademia, which was the most important thing.

Dr. Ernaut had called by this evening, after all the questioning had finished. Jay was sure he had pulled a few strings to have been able to see him, and was thankful. The elderly doctor had known Jay for some time, and had every faith in his innocence. It seemed that he had been suspicious of Nurse Reis for a while, as she always seemed to be flirting with the young doctors. However, he warned him that there would be a Medical Board Enquiry that he may have to face. If she proceeded with the charges, it would have a damning effect on his career. His best hope was that she could be persuaded to drop the charges, in which case the board’s conception would be a mere formality. Dr. Ernaut expressed his condolences in the matter. He had known that Jay was only interested in Ademia, he said anyone with half an eye could see how he and Farris doted on the girl. Jay had felt comf
orted by that.

Closing his eyes, he imagined Ademia sunbathing on Destiny Rock. A soft breeze would waft over her, causing her beautiful curls to frame her lovely face. He and Farris would be lying on either side of her, stroking her arms gently. Before long, they would be kissing her. They would take turns, each kissing her lips, her cheeks, her neck, then down to her breasts. He would slowly remove her bikini and she would giggle in that sweet way of hers. He would run a hand over her pussy and feel how wet she was. She would be so ready for them. His cock would be rock hard as he would remove his pants. As he would take her massive, soft breast in his mouth, Farris would start licking his way around her dripping, hot pussy.

Jay would tease her nipples between his teeth, making her gasp in delight. Her head would tip back, offering up her voluptuous breasts to him. He would fondle the soft cushions of flesh, licking and nipping at them with his wet mouth.

Farris would have his head between her adorable legs, kissing and lapping at the juices flowing freely from her gorgeous pussy. Jay would be able to tell the second his friend swiped his tongue over her little bud, as she would scream and buck her hips. Her hard nipples would be pointing upward, one in his mouth and the other between his fingertips as her orgasm would surge through her sensuous body. She would moan into his mouth as he kissed her waiting lips. Her blue eyes would shine up at him in delight and then widen in wonder as he would command her to lie on her stomach on top of Farris.

She would giggle again as he would bend her knees for her, tucking her feet under her at either side of his friend. Farris’s hand would find her pulsating pussy, which he would tease as she began another rise to ecstasy. She would stroke Farris’s cock, which would quickly show its appreciation, spurting cum up onto her gorgeous breasts as the big guy groaned with pleasure. Jay would rim her perfect, pink rosette, before sinking a wet finger into her luscious ass. She would gasp with pleasure, as he would continue his loving assault on her small hole, and as they took her back to paradise, he would thrust his cock into it, making her scream in rapture. The world would stop spinning as his seed shot into her lush body, and everything would be perfect.

He smiled at the vision of the three of them, spent and exhausted, slumped on the smooth, white rock, with the sun beaming down on them and the cool waves occasionally splashing over their heated bodies.

  “Fuck!”

The government-issue handkerchief-sized blanket was drenched. He peeled it away from his body as he realized he had just come, big-time. Using the useless article to clean himself down, he grinned at the memory. He hadn’t realized it would affect him this much, but then, ever since he and Farris had met Ademia they had been fantasizing about her. She really was the sweetest, most beautiful girl either of them had ever set eyes on, and they vowed to make her theirs when the time was right.

He only hoped that time would be soon.

  Chapter 6

For the first time in her life, Ademia woke up in bed in a man’s arms. A broad smile crossed her face as she snuggled deeper into his warm embrace, and she heard that gorgeous, deep chuckle.

“Good morning, beautiful.” Farris’s deep voice hummed through his chest where she had laid her head. She giggled.

A large finger tipped her chin upward, making her chuckle gleefully. Her head lifted and she saw the gorgeous hunk lying next to her. He always had stubble, and his hair was always a little tousled, so he looked as handsome as ever. Farris was certainly a sexy-looking guy. His big brown eyes were twinkling down at her, and his smile was so seductive.

Ademia instinctively reached up and kissed his cheek. His bristle was smooth and warm. It tickled her face, making her giggle again.

His head turned and suddenly his luscious mouth was on hers. His kiss was hot, his tongue sliding gently into her mouth, twirling sensually around hers. She moaned as she felt a gush escape her pussy. This guy really did things to her girly parts! She felt something hard dig into her thigh and he swiftly pulled back from her. She felt bereft.

“Time to get up, little lady,” he said with a grin and hoisted himself out of the bed. He freshened up and then returned to her wearing a clean pair of shorts. She had already cleaned her teeth and found another bikini to wear. Her hair was in knots and she was busy trying to plough a comb through it.

“How about a gentle swim?” he suggested, still grinning.

Ademia followed him out of the house quietly. The sun was just rising and the air was fresh and a little cool. Farris put some water on to boil and they set off for the beach. Her mind was in a whirl. The water was refreshing on her skin and she waded in, deep in thought. She had felt so turned on this morning, and she was sure he was, too. She had felt the evidence of that. But he didn’t seem to want to do anything with her. Perhaps he doesn’t like me that much after all. Maybe in the light of day he…

  “Look out!”

She looked up just in time to see a big wave heading toward her. She turned her back on it and let it carry her back toward the shore. It was cold and she welcomed it. The massive wave drenched her whole body, leaving her troublesome hair hanging in wet tendrils around her shoulders. Having ridden the wave out, she looked around for Farris. Suddenly, splash! He came at her from the side, soaking her again with armfuls of water. She giggled excitedly and splashed him back. A water fight ensued. His muscular arms whooshed the water up in droves, saturating the young girl. She dived into the water, disappearing beneath the waves. He was still looking around for her when she grabbed his legs and scooped them up from under him. Another massive splash and the big man plunged into the water backward. He gave a loud hoot and tore after her. Ademia was a strong swimmer and he had quite a fight on his hands to catch her. Eventually he lunged into the water over her, taking her down with him. They both surfaced, laughing and panting for breath.

Ademia was sure she had felt a bulge in his shorts as he had ploughed into her, and looked up at him, hopefully.

“I think that water should be boiled by now, little lady,” he said, smiling, and started to head for the shore.

Crestfallen, she followed him slowly back to the house. He doesn’t like me after all!

She prepared their breakfast while he made the green tea, and they sat down to eat. Ademia stared at her flatbread and sighed. She really didn’t have much appetite after all, she decided, and put the plate to one side. As she lifted her cup she heard Farris growl. Startled, she stared over to him, wide-eyed.

“I hope you’re planning to eat that up, little lady.” His voice was deep and stern.

She looked over at the plate of abandoned food. “I’m not that hungry,” she said in a small, nervous voice.

He moved closer to her, studying her expression. “What’s wrong, love?” His voice was softer now, concerned.

Ademia couldn’t hold his gaze. She was too embarrassed to tell him what she was thinking. “Nothing,” she said, staring at the ground.

His arm was on her shoulder now. “Don’t you lie to me, little lady,” he said, a little more seriously. “Something’s not right and I need to know what it is. Now are you going to tell me or do I need to guess?”

She lifted her head and stared at him. Could he guess? Was she that transparent? She blushed and looked down again. Those big brown eyes of his were having an undesired effect on her girly parts and that was the last thing she needed right now.

“All right then, let’s see if I can work it out myself, shall we?” he spoke with a lazy drawl that she loved.

He lifted her chin, forcing her to look up at him, while he studied her face as if reading it. “Aha, I thought so,” he said with a satisfied nod.

“What?” she asked. What can he possibly know from just looking at me?

“You’ve got it into that pretty little head of yours that I don’t want you, haven’t you?”

She stared at him in shock. How could he know that?

  He chuckled, reading her thoughts.

  “But how did…?” she began.

&
nbsp; “I’m not blind, little lady, any more than you are,” he said with a chortle. “You know I’ve had a hard-on for you since I woke up this morning and you can’t understand why I don’t want to do a thing about it! You’re making an assumption that it’s ’cos I don’t want you, when nothing could be farther from the truth!”

  Ademia was stunned.

He chuckled. “I want you more than you’ll ever know,” he said, staring into her big blue eyes. “But I know you also want Jay.”

She held her breath. He’s going to make me choose!

His mind-reading act came to the fore again and he grinned. “Nope. I’m not gonna make you choose, little lady. You want us both and you’re getting us both, together. Just as soon as Jay gets his ass back here.”

She gasped. It was more than she could have wished for, but everything she had fantasized about. She blushed.

“Now you eat up and we’ll go see what we can do about getting him back here.” He winked as he handed over her breakfast. “’Cos if he don’t get here soon I think I’m gonna burst!”
