“He is.” Dina nodded.
“First of all, what I look like fucking with some nigga that used to be with Raquel?”
“Girl, you’d be single forever worried about who Raquel done been with.” Trinity jabbed.
“Fuck you.” Raquel giggled. “But no, Ryan, it aint like that. I used to mess with Fred years ago when Kevin was locked up. Me and him don’t get down at all. He’s a good nigga and you should holla at him.” She said sincerely.
Ryan shook her head. “Naw. How that nigga eating?”
Everybody looked at each other.
“Exactly. Yall know that I aint fucking with them thug ass niggas.”
“Aw, whatever, Ryan. That’s you, baby girl. You can keep on torturing yourself. That’s why your ass is still single. As beautiful as you are you should’ve been married ten times over. You set up these standards that are designed for you not to find anybody. You want a nigga from the streets, but you want him to get his money legally. Then when you meet those types of niggas, the legit ones, their bread aint long enough for you.” Raven shook her head.
“Yeah, you right Raven, but I know what’s her real problem.” Dina added.
Ryan cut her eyes at her cousin, daring her to bring up her baby’s daddy.
“What?” all the other women asked simultaneously.
“That damn lawyer she works for. If she would pull up her panties for a minute she might be able to see beyond him.” Dina alleged.
“What’s wrong with the lawyer?” Zyrie wanted to know. “I thought that he was taking care of her.”
“Yeah, but that’s all he’s doing. Ryan aint fulfilled in that relationship.”
Ryan folded her arms. “And how would you know, Dina?”
“Cause you’re my cousin and I know when you’re happy in a relationship. Yall notice how she never really talks about that nigga? I mean, he pays her rent and car note, but her face is blank when she talks about him.”
“That’s because we are not together like that. We have a situation and he looks out for me, but I’m not mistaking that for a relationship.”
Raven nodded. “Okay, Ryan, I feel you. But is that all you want?”
“What do you mean?”
“Do you just want somebody to fuck on a regular basis and for them to spend a little cash on you?”
“I mean, for now. I hope to eventually find a man that will be everything to me, but until then I’m okay with him. I give him what he wants and he gives me what I need. That’s it.”
Chapter 6
“Damn, baby. Fuck me harder. Fuck me.”
Desmond slapped her ass. “You like that shit? Huh, bitch?”
“Umm, yeah.” She bit her bottom lip as he hit it from the back.
“Where you want me to shoot this hot cum, bitch? Tell me.”
“In my mouth.” She panted. “In my mouth.”
He pulled his dick out and yanked the condom off. She turned around on all fours, anxiously opening her mouth. He released his semen into her mouth, and all over her face.
“Fuck.” He leaned his head back as she sucked his now limp penis.
Gina then fell back into the bed. She was in heaven as she stared at the ceiling. Her smile quickly faded as she lifted and her eyes landed on him. “I know you aint leaving already?” she snapped as she watched him dress.
He looked back at her naked body. She had a huge dragon on her side that was just flat out sexy. Her curvaceous body was glistening in sweat, reminding him of the rumble they’d just indulged in.
“Yeah, I gotta go, lil’ mama.”
“Damn, De-De, you said that we was gonna kick it tonight.” She whined.
“Man, you know I gotta go home.” He told her as he grabbed his cell off the nightstand and turned it back on.
“I thought that once you moved back to Houston that shit would change.” She huffed. For five years he’d been coming back and forth to Houston and had recently decided to move back out there permanently. He would knock her down every time he’d visit home, before moving back. And now she was feeling like she saw him more when he lived out of state.
He smacked his lips. “Ay, you know how the game go so don’t act brand new. Now, I’ll fuck with you later.” He left her in the motel room alone. She was a big girl and had driven herself there, so he was sure she’d find her way home. Besides, he’d chunked her five hundred dollars and that was enough to shut a bitch like her up.
Before he could make it to his Mercedes sports car his cell was ringing. “Ay.” He answered.
“Uh, why the fuck was your phone off?”
Thinking fast on his feet he said, “Baby, the shit was dead. I just got a little juice from Flip’s charger.”
“De-De, you think that I’m fucking stupid? I know you was with some bitch!” she shouted into the phone.
“Ay, who the fuck you hollering at?” he fumed.
She could hear the anger in his voice and decided to tone it down. “My bad, baby. You just got me worried over here. Why you gotta do me like this?”
“Do you like what, Jada?”
“You know, baby. Shit be getting too hectic for you to be letting your phone go dead.”
“I hear you.” He hopped into his car and started the engine.
“Are you on your way home?”
“Yeah.” He sighed.
“Okay…I love you.”
“Alright. I’ll be there in a minute.” He hung up.
Desmond knew that he was constantly stressing Jada. They had been an item since about eight months after Ryan left him. Initially, he’d gone to Houston to bring her back home, but her family swore up and down that they didn’t know where she was. He was pissed because it was obvious that they were all lying, so he vowed to never speak to any of them again. For years he thought that they all had love for him. He’d kicked them all down some bread, and they all turned around and lied to his face. So, Ryan and her entire family were now dead to him.
With time he was able to move on. Jada was patiently waiting for him to get his mind right. They started off just fucking every once in a while. Since being around him in the past, she knew his likes and dislikes and she made sure that she perfected it. After messing around for almost a year they finally became a couple. He took care of her and she was envied by all the chicks around. People couldn’t tell her shit, but it wasn’t long before she realized that she wasn’t the only broad enjoying Desmond’s big black dick. He had bitches in every corner of the city, and she broke her neck trying to scrap with the different girls. After a while she realized that she couldn’t fight them all and took the position that she didn’t care, as long as he came home to her. Still, there were times where she’d have a jealous streak. She couldn’t help it. She’d fallen helplessly in love with him, and would fuck up any bitch that thought that she could take her man.
He pulled into the garage of their high rise condominium building. They had only been officially in Houston for two months and were living in one of the most exclusive spots in Houston. It was Jada who wanted to live there. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to live there for the long haul. The white women would clutch their purses when he’d step on the elevator with them. He knew that it was his rough exterior, but he didn’t have shit to prove to those uppity ass people.
He made it to his door and pulled out his key to unlock the door, but Jada beat him to the punch. The door swung open.
“Oh, there you are.” She smiled standing in some crotch-less lingerie.
“How did you know that I was out here?” he asked with a raised brow.
“I heard your heavy ass footsteps coming down the hall.”
“Oh, yeah?” he stepped into the condo and closed the door. “You cooked?”
“Did I cook? Nigga, I know you see me standing here with my best negligee on, and you want to know if I cooked?” she asked incredulously.
He turned to look at her with a blank expression. “So, did you cook?”
She shook her head.
“I aint gonna let you upset me tonight.” She stormed into their bedroom and slammed the door shut.
He shrugged and swaggered over to the couch, plopping down he grabbed the remote from the table. He flipped through the channels on his flat big screen. He could hear Jada slamming things around in the other room. He knew that her feelings were hurt, but he and Gina had gone three rounds. He simply didn’t have any more to give.
He was drifting off to sleep when his cell vibrated in his pocket. He whipped it out and saw that it was Flip calling.
“Speak on it.” he said into the phone.
“Ay, bruh, where you at?” Flip asked over very loud music.
“At home. What’s up?”
“Nigga, you need to come up here. How yall Houston niggas say it, it’s going down, main.”
“Yeah?” Desmond sat up.
“Oh, yeah. I’m up here partying with a few old homies and the bitches are looking ready.”
“Where you at, the Roxy?” he asked knowing that it was one of the two clubs that were jumping on Wednesdays.
“Hell, yeah.”
“That’s what’s up. I’ma slide through there. Give me thirty minutes.”
De-De hopped up and jumped in the shower. After he was fresh he went into the closet to find something to wear. All the while Jada lied across the bed pouting. He grabbed his casual Gucci sneakers, belt, and shades. He also plucked some beige Gucci shorts and a polo styled beige and white horizontally striped Gucci shirt from the closet.
Jada watched with jealousy as her man prepared to leave her at home once again. Once he was fully dressed he looked like he belonged on the cover of GQ. His bowlegs looked so appealing as he rocked the pretty boy style to perfection. The only jewelry he opted to wear was a platinum Cartier watch. His waves were spinning and the Clive Christian cologne her wore was damn near hypnotizing.
She openly stared at him.
“What?” he finally asked her.
“I ought to slice your fucking face open.” She snarled.
He shook his head with a laugh. “You something else, lil’ mama.” He leaned over and kissed her cheek. “Be back.”
She stared at his back as he walked out of their bedroom. “Punk ass.” She mumbled to herself, knowing that the bitches were going to fall all over him, and knowing him he was going to take the bait.

After valet parking his whip Desmond strolled into Club Roxy. The crowd was thick and the music was bumping. “I’m selling dope straight off the iPhone…” Rick Ross’s voice blared as all the d-boys rapped along with the lyrics. He scanned the crowds looking for Flip. He spotted his boy standing with a group of niggas and one of them was showing off, tossing bills in the air.
Desmond shook his head as she walked over to Flip. “What’s good, my nigga?”
He and Flip clashed hands briefly. “Nigga, I’m smashed on this Grey Goose.” He slurred.
“I see.” De-De laughed as his boy stood on wobbly legs.
“Is that who I think it is?” a nigga said just a few feet away.
Desmond’s head shot up. He spotted Dino; Dina’s twin brother. A smile crept onto his face. “What’s up, bitch ass nigga?”
Dino and Desmond quickly embraced, placing each other in bear hugs. “Damn, it’s been a minute, man.” Dino chuckled.
“I know man, too long really.” Desmond admitted. He couldn’t deny that he’d missed Ryan and Bryan’s family; especially Dino. They used to run together back in the day.
“Nigga, who you telling? I was just asking about you. Twin said she saw your ass in the casino.”
“Yeah.” He nodded. “I saw Dina’s crazy ass. She was with some nigga from New York.”
“Yeah, yeah. That’s my nigga, right there. He cool peoples.” Dino bobbed his head.
De-De checked out Dino’s threads. He was wearing Louie from head to toe. An iced out piece and chain rested around his neck. “Man, you shining. I see you, boy.”
Dino shrugged. “It’s nothing, dog.”
“Who you fucking with?” Desmond asked, wanting to know who was Dino’s connect.
“My people, man. They from out of town, feel me?”
De-De nodded. “So, who you in this bitch with, man?”
Dino pointed at a few other dudes who were dressed fresh to death.
“Ay, aint that Jahrein?”
Dino nodded.
Desmond stepped around Dino and marched over to Jahrein. “Nigga, your ass wasn’t gonna speak?”
Jahrein looked him up and down, before a look of surprise covered his face. “De-De?”
“Yeah, nigga.”
“Oh, what’s up, man?” they quickly embraced. “I aint seen you in a minute. Heard you was doing thangs out there in The Boot.”
Desmond nodded humbly. “Ay, I was doing a little something.”
Jahrein tilted his lips to the side. “Yeah right, man. I know how you getting it.”
“Shit, a little birdy told me that you was the man with all the money. You got the legit shit going on. Tell me how I can be like you.”
Jahrein chuckled. “You know what, if you serious I know this lawyer nigga that can help you out with that.”
“Hell yeah. Put me down, nigga.”
“Alright. Put this number in your phone.” Jahrein instructed as he pulled out his iPhone. Desmond pulled out his as well and locked in the number Jahrein gave him.
An hour later they were bottle popping and everybody was pissy drunk. The bitches were hanging on like leeches. Desmond was torn up and had his hand planted on some girl’s ass. She had told him her name over five times, but he couldn’t remember it to save his life.
Flip had already left with a freak for the night and De-De was contemplating taking that broad somewhere to get some head.
Jahrein checked out the bitch that was all over Desmond. He knew the girl’s face, but he just couldn’t place it. “Ay, I’m about to burn, man.” He shouted over the loud music, as the deejay played Usher’s “Lover’s and Friends”.
“Alright.” Desmond nodded.
Jahrein eyed him cautiously, sensing that he was a little beyond drunk. “You be careful, boy. You got my number, right?”
“Yeah, I got you.”
“Alright, my nigga. Be easy.” Jahrein disappeared into the crowds.
“I’m ready to go.” The nameless girl seductively said in his ear.
“Leslie, so you gonna just leave with this nigga?” her yellow friend interrupted.
Ignoring her girl, Leslie said, “Come on, daddy.”
“Okay.” He nodded. “We going back to your spot?” he asked, ready for some head.
“Yeah, we can do that.” She smiled.
They left the club wrapped into each other. The valet guy brought his car up front as she damn near drooled at the sight of it. She knew that she picked the right one. The car he drove symbolized money.
They hopped into his car and she directed him to her apartment as she played with his dick. It was feeling so good that he’d damn lost control of the car; twice. Once he pulled up to the gate that surrounded her complex he attempted to place in the access code she told him to enter at the keypad. A car pulled behind him with extremely bright lights.
“Damn, that nigga need to turn down his brights.” He complained, as he shielded his eyes.
By the time his eyes could focus he realized that he had a gun pointed at his temple. “Get out the car, nigga!” a dude dressed in all black shouted.
“Alright, man.” He placed his hands up in surrender as he high faded. He glanced over at the broad riding shot gun, and realized that she didn’t seem too bothered by what was going on.
The robber snatched the door open. “Get out.”
Desmond slowly eased out of the car and watched as the chick slid over to the driver’s side. The dude kept his gun pointed in his face. Once he cocked the gun De-De knew that he had to react. He swiftly pulled his gun from the small of his back and fired, striking the dude bet
ween the eyes. Blow! His body dropped to the ground, while the girl screamed hysterically.
Desmond spun around and aimed. “Bitch, shut up before I kill your ass too. Get the fuck out of my car.”
With shaky hands she pushed the door open.
“Go move that bitch ass nigga’s car.” He dictated as he continued to point his gun at her.
She ran over to the car and quickly jumped in. She placed the car in reverse and backed out. She thought that she was home free, until she heard BLOW! BLOW! BLOW!
The third bullet penetrated the side of her head, killing her instantly.
“Stupid bitch.” Desmond shook his head as he watched the car slowly slam into a pole. He then hopped in his ride and sped off.
His adrenaline was pumping as he drove home. He was pissed at himself for getting caught up like that, when he knew better. He promised himself to drive by the property the next day to make sure that there were no cameras that may have him on video. There was no sense in beating himself up about it. It was just time to do damage control.
Chapter 7
Ryan was sitting on her couch watching the news. “This is Channel Two reporting live from southwest Houston. We’ve just been informed that two people, male and female were found dead outside of this apartment complex. The police are not clear on what happened out here, but they believe that it was a robbery gone wrong. The male was found with a gun still in the palm of his hand. As of right now the police have no leads. We’re urging anyone with information to call 713-222-TIPS.”
Ryan shook her head. “Those muthafuckas must’ve been on some Bonnie and Clyde shit and chose the wrong nigga to fuck with.” She and Desmond had done that to a few niggas back in the day when they were hungry. He needed money to rescore and what he had just wasn’t going to cut it. Without hesitation she devised a plan to get the money they needed. They hit licks all summer long, until they came up. After watching the news she thanked God that their lives weren’t cut short like the fools on the news. It was just reaffirming that she’d done the right thing by walking away from that lifestyle.
She hopped up from the couch and woke the twins. After they were fully dressed and on their school bus she got herself ready. She then jumped into her car and headed to work.
