“Babe, you hoes don’t want it wit us, no!” a short chubby broad with nappy weave spoke up.

“Slouchy hoe, who is you?” Dina growled. “You busted up bitches better kick rocks.”

“Yeah, and Jada Bitch, why you aint speaking for yourself? What, are you stalking me, with your thirsty ass?” Ryan seethed.

“Yea cousin, this bitch do got a fire ass mouth,” another high yellow thick tall chick barged in. “I’ma knock her teeth out her mouth.”

“Do it then!” Ryan challenged, as she charged at the girl. Her adrenaline was pumping as she threw slugs, catching the girl several times in the face. Seconds later, someone snatched her by her hair, slamming her into the concrete. Refusing to give in, she grabbed a random leg, and a body came tumbling down on top of her.

Dina was still standing, but was battling two chicks at once. The taller girl was weak, but oddly the shorter one was considerably stronger, and was laying into her. But Dina was well versed in brawls, and had been in the center of several in her day. She remained resilient, and soon the short girl had tired herself out. Dina took that opportunity and capitalized on it. With all her might she gripped the borderline midget’s hair and slung her to the ground. She then spun around on the ball of her heels, and pimp slapped the taller chick.

“Naw, let her go!” Jada’s cousin blubbered, as Ryan whaled on her. She’d managed to scrap back onto her feet.

“Bitch, yall gon make me go back to that old bitch. I’ll kill you hoes!” Ryan grimaced, as she held Jada in a headlock. She pounded her face in, while Jada’s cousin attempted to tear them apart. “Nah, you hoes gon learn. I aint the bitch you want it with!”

“Hey, break this up! The police are on the way!” a Planet Fitness employee shouted, as he pushed his way between Dina, and two of Jada’s cousins.

Hearing the word police brought Dina back to her senses. She ran over, grabbing Ryan. “Let her go, Ry. Let her go before the laws get here.”

Finally, Ryan released Jada, and allowed Dina to lead her to her Benz.

“You better watch your back!” Jada threatened, as she and her family slid into her Beamer. “You and them ugly ass kids of yours!”

“What?!” Ryan sprinted around her cousin, until some strong arms wrapped around her.

“It aint worth it.” A strong authoritative voice whispered into her ear.

“Jacob, let me go!” she barked, as she wiggled out of his grips.

With extreme fury, she charged at Jada’s vehicle. She was already attempting to pull off. Seeing red, Ryan reached back, and punched out the driver’s window. With glass in her face, Jada threw the car into park, and Ryan reached in, wrapping an arm around Jada’s neck. Without thinking she drug Jada out of the broken window.

“No, Ryan!” Dina pleaded, as she noticed the police patrol car entering the lot.

“Come on, Ryan.” Jacob implored, trying to pull Ryan off a battered Jada, but it was too late. The police had swooped in, and were already exiting their vehicle, prepared to take them all down.

With their pistols drawn, the two white officers shouted, “Put your hands up!”

Immediately, Ryan released Jada’s rigid body, and placed her hands in the air. Her heart pounded, as she mumbled, “Just my fucking luck.”

  Chapter 18

“Get ya bitch ass out the street!” Desmond fumed, as he nearly hit a young dude, crossing the street. He was breaking all sorts of speed limits, trying to get to Ryan in the city jail. His heart nearly dropped to his stomach when he received that call from Vanity. She herself didn’t know much about what had happened with Ryan or Dina, but was told by Dina that they were in the city jail.

Urgently, he’d gathered the kids, and dropped them off with Vanity. He needed to get his gal, right then and there. He doubled parked once he pulled into a parking spot outside of the jail. He hopped out of his whip, and checked his pockets, making sure that he still had all the money he’d brought with him. It didn’t matter what her charges were. He wasn’t leaving without her, and was prepared to pay whatever the bond was set at.

Entering the lobby of the building, he spotted a familiar face. Instinctively, he reached for his pistol, forgetting that he’d left it at home for this trip. He gritted his teeth, as he watched his enemy wrap an arm around his woman.

“Thank you, Jacob.” Ryan hugged him, showing her gratitude.

“Yeah, thanks for looking out, real talk.” Dina added.

“The fuck is this?” Desmond stomped over.

Ryan glanced up. “Oh, baby, um…I was just thanking Jacob for getting us out of here.”

Desmond glared at her, “Is that right?”

Feeling a little jittery, Ryan glanced at Jacob. “We have to go, but thank you again.”

Humbly, Jacob nodded, shoving his hands into his pockets, before stepping around them. “You be safe.” He smiled, “Take care of our girl, my man.”

“What?” he gritted, but received no response. Desmond stood, staring at Jacob’s back, as he left the building.

“Let’s go,” Ryan tugged at his hand, but he yanked it back.

“Yeah, let’s go, before I break ya fucking neck.” He gritted, as he marched back to his Lexus. Slowly, Ryan and Dina eased into the truck.

Desmond wasn’t up the street completely when he went in. “What the fuck was that bitch ass nigga doing there?!”

“Des, calm down,” Dina intruded. “Ryan aint fucking with him like that. Ole boy just so happen to be at the gym when ya girl Jada rolled up on us.”

He quieted down. “Jada? Where the fuck did she come from?”

“Exactly.” Ryan blurted. “While you trying to go off bout a nigga that I could care less about. Ya bitch just so happen to be at my favorite workout spot with three hoes from New Orleans.”

As soon as she spewed those words he knew exactly who she was talking about. Jada had some cousins from New Orleans who were notorious shit starters. In the past, they’d helped Jada jump a few of his side bitches. Under those particular circumstances he found their behavior funny, but this was absolutely different. He played no games when it came to his Ryan.

“So, what happened?” he pressed, as his heartrate sped up.

“They tried to jump us.” Ryan’s nostrils flared. “But them weak bitches aint got shit for us. We was outnumbered so they got with us. It was all over, until that bitch Jada told me to watch my back. Me and my ugly ass kids.” She cut her eyes at Desmond. “Then I tried to kill that hoe. The laws rolled up and caught us in action, and took all our asses to jail.”

Desmond exhaustedly rubbed the side of his face. “Man…this shit is getting out of hand. And now we gotta get a lawyer for these charges. And what they ended up charging yall with, anyway?”

“It was assault and disorderly conduct.” Dina answered. “But ole boy claimed that he’s working his jelly, and getting that whole assault shit thrown out. So, we might just end up with a fine for the disorderly conduct.”

“Ole boy, huh?” he slid his tongue across his teeth. “So, you and him cool like that again, Ry? Ya lil’ boo came through for ya?”

She smacked her lips. “Really? You wanna go there, for real?”

  He shrugged. “I’m just saying.”

“You just saying what? The man seen me there at Planet Fitness. He said a few words to me, and then we went our separate ways. He must’ve seen us out there fighting, and tried to stop it. So, he already knew the situation by the time the police arrived. And being that he’s a lawyer and his brother is an officer he has connections, and he must’ve utilized those connections. That’s all there is to it.”

He nodded. “Go ahead. Downplay the shit out of the situation. You and that cat didn’t end on the best of terms. In fact, he walked in on us fucking in his house. Now, you want me to believe that he just dry stepped in, and helped you out? With no expectations no nothing? Get the fuck outta here.”

“Well, it’s the truth!” she belted. “Maybe the nigga got deep
feelings for me. Have you thought about that?”

“Deep feelings, huh? Well shit, maybe yall need to reconcile and explore these so-called deep feelings. Since it’s like that all of a sudden.”

She squinted, “What? The fuck are you talking about? I never said that I wanted that nigga.”

“That’s what ya mouth say, but it’s mighty funny that everybody and they mama just so happened to be at the fucking gym. I never did believe in coincidences.”

She licked her lips. “Oh, so, it’s my fault that Jada’s ass ended up in the same place? The same bitch you was still fucking a few months back? That same bitch that you had all fucked up in the head, causing her to crash my fucking baby shower. Boy, you got me fucked up!”

“Okay,” he nodded. “But what was that nigga doing there? He fucking live way out in Kingwood.”

She gave him a funny look. “How do you know where he lives?”

He chuckled snidely, “When didn’t I know? Since when have I ever been sleep on the muthafuckas around me?”

“Whatever,” she breathed. “It is what it is, but you better do something about that bitch or I’ma catch a homicide.”

“Yeah, and what about that nigga? Am I supposed to stand back and let you deal with him?”

Ryan bucked her eyes. “Who said that I deal with him? It was circumstantial that he was there at all! You act like I called the nigga and asked him to get me out of a jam! Like when they opened that jail cell I was gonna be like ‘Nah, Jacob is getting me out? Shit, I’m staying in here.’ I mean, what the fuck?!”

Desmond tucked in his lips, stopping himself from going off. His jealousy was about to drive him through the roof.

“Yall, calm down.” Dina interrupted. “I really believe that yall both have exes that may not be over yall, but you’d think that you muthafuckas would have common sense. Both of yall left those folks alone abruptly. Feelings were hurt, and just because yall are together and want to move on don’t mean that they feel the same. I mean, yall fussing for what? De-De, your ex is obviously a low-key stalker. And Ryan, Jacob still got some feelings for you. But the both of yall are crazy. You can’t control how outsiders feel.”

Ryan pursed her lips, as she folded her arms, and gazed out of the window. For the remainder of the ride music filled the car, and everyone was deep into their own thoughts. After scooping up the kids, they drove home silently.

“Can you move?” Desmond griped, as Ryan stood in the doorway of their bedroom, once they arrived home. Dina had already hopped in her whip, and burnt off.

  She stiffened her body. “No.”

“Get the fuck out my way, girl.” He snarled, causing a chill to ease up her spine.

  “Make me.”

  “Make you?”

“You heard what the fuck I said.”

“Man…” he gripped her waist and lifted her off the floor. “Why the fuck you wanna play with me, huh?” he carried her into the room, and tossed her onto their bed.

“You mad, nigga?” she sprung up, standing on her knees in the bed. “Huh, Fuck Boy?”

“Fuck Boy?” his eyes lowered into slits. “The fuck you talking to?”

  “You!”

“Me?” he pushed her back, and dived on top of her. Together they tussled, until he got a grip on her jaw with his teeth.

“Okay, okay, okay. Let me go.” She whined.

He shook his head like a pit-bull, tugging at her skin.

  “Okaaay. I’m sorryyyyy.”

  He released her.

  “Get off me.” She pouted.

  “So, you mad?” he grinned.

  “Stop playing!” she raged.

“You don’t like that shit, huh?” he tickled her. “You aint like the tables turning on that ass.” He taunted.

“But it’s not funny.” She insisted. “You probably left a mark on my face.”

“So.” He kissed her. “You mines. I’m the only nigga that should be concerned and I’m good.”

“Oh really?” she arched a brow. “You sound mighty sure of that.”

“Shit, I am. That ass aint going nowhere. You stuck with me. Besides you damaged goods. Got four kids and shit. Niggas aint seeing you.” He joked.

She giggled. “Okay, you really wanna play.”

“I do.” He kissed her once more. Just then there was a cry coming from the babies’ room.

“Fuck,” she breathed. “Alright, nigga. Get off me. It’s back to reality.”

  ******

“Ma, you gotta stay ya ass outta trouble, yea.”

Jada rubbed her weary eyes. “BG, you just don’t understand. Those hoes was asking for it.”

“That’s what you say,” he sighed, as he relaxed on her couch. He’d just bonded her out of jail, and unfortunately her cousins Cheeki, Shortie, and Daleesa were still locked up. Shortie had outstanding warrants for forgery and BG refused to get Cheeki and Daleesa out, claiming he didn’t know them like that.

“For real. That bitch just came for me. With her hating ass.”

BG nodded, “So, what, yall was fighting over a nigga or something?”

She scrounged, “The fuck I look like fighting over a nigga? Shit, as far as I know you aint fucking that trick.”

He chuckled, “Is that right? So, any other nigga is irrelevant, huh?”

  “You aint know?”

  “Okay.”

“But babe,” she cooed. “You aint got a few ends so I can get my cousins out? I mean, they were just defending me and now look at ‘em. I don’t want them to feel like I left them hanging.”

“I aint fucking them hoes, bruh. Where they fucking old mans at?”

  “Back in N.O.” she whined.

“Well, shit the last time I checked they got phones back in New Orleans. They asses better phone home. Cause BG aint got shit for ‘em, unless they about to bust that pussy open.”

Jada rolled her eyes. That was the part of him she always despised. BG could be quite ignorant. “Huuuh,” she huffed, as she sucked her teeth.

“Yea, don’t ‘Huh’ me.” He spat.

  “Whatever,” she snapped.

He curled his lips. “Say, you got one more time to pop off, and I’ma snap on yo ass. Real talk.”

Jada folded her arms, but didn’t utter another word. She knew how BG was. Back in the day he used to whip her ass. He was very abusive, but she always ended up back with him. That all changed, though, when she met Bryan.

“You think them hoes put something on ya lil’ red ass. Keep talking that shit. Ya ass will have another black eye.” He fumed as he stood up. “Ole stupid ass,” he stomped through the condo. “Got the nerve to be talking shit after you and ya sorry ass cousins let two hoes whip four of yall. This hoe must be crazy.”

“Ry, you seen her pacifier?” Desmond questioned, as he stepped into their room with Bryah in tow.

Hurriedly, she wiped a tear off her cheek. “No, but let me check.” She sniffled.

  He squinted. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.” She quickly waved her head.

He stepped closer. “For real, girl, what’s the problem?” he pressed.

“I said nothing.” Her voice trembled.

Grabbing her waist he pulled her in closer. “Talk to me, baby.” He pleaded.

Desmond was at a wits end with Ryan’s emotional ass. For a few weeks they’d been good. There’d been no arguing, they dealt with the kids peacefully, and she rode that dick every night for him. But then three days ago, her mood had drastically changed. She cried off and on throughout the day, and when she did smile it seemed forced. Assuming that she was experiencing post-partum depression, he was trying to figure out a way to lift her spirits. Being that her birthday was rapidly approaching he felt that would be the perfect opportunity.

“I’m fine, Desmond.” She pulled away from him.

He stood staring at her. Her hair was shabby, and hadn’t been combed in days. Her eyes were puffy from crying, and she wore a s
ilk robe wrapped around her body. Shaking his head he glanced down at their daughter. “Yo mama is gonna drive a nigga crazy, with her fine ass.”

Against her will, Ryan giggled. “You play too much.”

“Ah, there it is.” He moved in on her again. “That’s the shit I like to see. Baby, won’t you just smile for me. Just sm-ile for me.” He playfully sang, causing her resolve to breakdown. “Girl, I’m here. You aint got nothing to be worried about.”

She wrapped her arms around him and the baby, and exhaled. “I’m tired. I’ma take a nap.” She kissed his cheek. “But boy, I swear I love you.”

He kissed her back. “I love you more.” He slapped her ass. “But get some rest.”

She nodded, as she pulled away, and slipped underneath their covers.

“Come on, baby girl, we gonna give mommy some space.” He whispered as they exited the room.

After carefully lying his daughter down, he copped a seat on his recliner. He sat, thinking of ways to relieve some stress off Ryan. As much as he hated people all in their business he realized that they probably needed to hire someone to help Ryan with the kids. In between homework with the boys, and changing shitty pampers all day it was all enough to drive anyone insane. And she had two sets of twins, so she had double trouble, regardless.

The more he thought the more hiring a nanny sounded like a great idea. Surprising her with that after giving her the hugest party the city has ever seen was heavily on his mind. Feeling like he needed input from the closest person to her outside of him, he called Dina for her take on it all.

“Yeah, De-De, what’s the business?” she answered.

“Nothing much, Dina. Let me pick ya brain for a sec. But keep this between me and you, though.”

  “Okay. Go ahead.”

“Alright. You think Ryan would be cool with a big stupid ass party?”

“Umm…” Dina hesitated. “I don’t know about that.”

“Why you say that?” he asked in surprise.
