“I have a feeling that they’ll keep each other on their toes for sure. It was a brilliant plan to marry them off.”

“Well, I wanted to make sure we didn’t have any unwanted interruptions for a while.”

Larzukan took the wine glass from Felicity’s hand and set it on the edge of the pool. Then he pulled her close and kissed her passionately as he braced her against the side. His hands slid down her wet body, making sure to touch every part of her.

“I love you, Felicity,” he whispered in her ear as he began trailing kisses down her face and neck. Her breathing quickened as her body anticipated each soft touch of his lips upon her skin. His hands roamed across her tenderly as he pulled her nipple into his mouth, running circles across the hardness with his tongue.

Larzukan lifted her gently, laying her partway out of the water, and then he lowered his lips to her womanhood. Felicity’s body began to quiver as her breath quickened. The pleasure was unlike anything she had ever experienced. She writhed with pleasure as Larzukan slid his hands to her bottom, pulling her even closer against his lips. Her long legs wrapped across his neck and back, squeezing tightly as Larzukan brought her to completion.

He lowered her back into the water as her legs wrapped around his waist. With a deep need of love and desire, she lowered herself onto his hard manhood. Larzukan shuddered as he slid into her slickness.

He had never felt so complete in all his life, and he didn’t want to waste a second. Each move inside her was slow and tender. Her breasts pressed against Larzukan’s bare chest and her tongue slid inside his mouth as he continued his slow thrusts inside her.

They moved together in unison, each feeling the intense bonding of emotional and physical pleasure. Felicity’s hands gripped his back as she leaned into his ear, whispering softly. “I love you, Larzukan. With all my heart, for the rest of my life, I love you.”

“Oh, Felicity, you have given me so much joy! Thank you for choosing to love me and choosing to let me love you in return.”

Underneath the moon and the stars, Larzukan and Felicity moved together as a single body. They filled each other with all they had to offer as they bathed in the light of each other’s love.

Larzukan held Felicity tight as his body trembled with his explosive release. She clung to him fiercely as tears washed down her face to drip onto his shoulders. He pulled her away, looking into her eyes. “My Felicity, why do you cry? Did I hurt you?”

Felicity laughed as she wiped the tears from her face. “No, you didn’t hurt me, Larzukan. I’m crying because I’m so happy. I’m crying tears of joy, my love.”

Larzukan softly wiped his thumb across her cheek and then he pulled her into a fierce hug. Felicity laughed and smiled joyously as she grabbed Larzukan’s hand and led him from the water.

“I hope you don’t think we’re done for the night?” she asked coyly as she dried herself in the warm night air.

Larzukan came to her and picked her up in his strong arms, carrying her back inside. “Oh, no, Felicity. There are still plenty of hours to go before morning, and I intend to use them all. I want to explore everything with you.”

He set her down, and she turned so her back was pressed against him. “I, too, want to experience everything with you. You have been my first, my only, and my forever, Larzukan. I want to give you everything.”

Felicity could feel him rising hard against her backside as she pressed against him. She could feel his nervousness as his fingers ran down her body.

“Take me, Larzukan. Take me over and over again tonight, and fill me up until there is nothing left in you. I need you inside me always.” Felicity bent forward across the bed and placed him where she wanted him. Larzukan’s groans of pleasure enticed her all the more.

She moved against him in ways she had never done before as she literally threw herself against him. The first time had been about romance and gentleness. This was about passion and unbridled desire for the man she loved. Unlike human men, Larzukan never needed to recuperate. He could remain hard for hours on end, unload himself time after time, and never tire.

Felicity took him into her in every way possible, and each time was more intoxicating than the one before. She loved the taste of him as he released himself into her mouth. She loved the feel of his long rod as she urged him into anal sex for the first time.

They made love in the pool, the bed, the floor, the shower, the sofa, and at one time, she was certain they’d made love on the dining room table. Each time brought her to the brink of insanity with the release of pure bliss.

Her screams and groans permeated through the palace as time after time, her body spasmed with wave upon wave of orgasmic pleasure.

For Larzukan, the night was beyond his wildest imagining. At times, he was certain he was dreaming. No woman could bring him such happiness. Yet when he opened his eyes, he still saw his beautiful Felicity. The feel of her was breathtaking.

She did things to him that night that Larzukan had never known existed. She begged him to do things to her in return, and each time, they shared their bodily fluids with each other. They lost complete track of time as they joined their bodies over and over again.

When the morning staff arrived the next morning, they quickly set breakfast on the table and excused themselves. Then they sent orders not to disturb the king and queen under any circumstances. Felicity barely registered that people had come and gone, and she didn’t care who saw her. She only cared about Larzukan.

One week after the wedding, Blancon and Floretta barged through the doors, each with a stack of papers.

“Okay, honeymoon is over. There is still a kingdom to run, you know. You two can’t stay in here forever.”

Larzukan sighed as he softly kissed Felicity on the lips. “I guess we should venture out for a few hours today, my love. We don’t want the kingdom to forget who’s in charge.”

Felicity laid her hand on him affectionately as she stretched and got out of bed. Blancon and Floretta immediately began laying out the agenda for the day as the two honeymooners sat down to eat breakfast.

Before Felicity finished her first piece of fruit, Chutan arrived with the rest of the queen’s aides. Apparently, the kingdom decided the two had had enough alone time. Larzukan rolled his eyes as he was gently but forcefully led from the room by Blancon. Floretta, in turn, began laying out Felicity’s responsibilities for the day.

Felicity couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she thought about the crazy ride she had been on. In one hopeless last-ditch effort, she had put her resume out into the world as a mail-order bride. That choice had led her not only to new possibilities, but also to a new planet, new people, and a future that was better than anything she could have ever dreamed of.

  Epilogue

  Larzukan

Six weeks after her wedding, Felicity was enjoying a nice luncheon with Kate and Floretta. She had spent the last three days in a heated debate with the environmental ambassador over the new budget and she very much needed a day with friends.

She had been feeling extremely tired the last week, and she had to practically beg Larzukan to let her come out. Earlier in the day, she had barely been able to get out of bed, and Larzukan had insisted that she stay in and rest.

The whole ordeal had almost led to their first fight. In the end, though, Larzukan was unable to deny her something she wanted and she had persuaded him that lunch with her friends would make her feel better.

Now that she was here, she almost wished Larzukan had refused. Kate was her normal chipper self as she talked about her new job working with interplanetary communications. Apparently, she was seeing a very prominent man in the upper district. Floretta was still gloating over the fact that she had beaten Pertvia in the new Training Seminar scores.

They were initializing a new academy of education with a focus on creating new jobs. The choosing had been revamped, although the tournament would still go on with modifications. There were no longer executions, which left the
Queen in charge of finding new roles and more food and housing.

She had definitely stayed busy, and the years ahead were sure to be just as busy. Felicity reached out and took a small bite of her favorite fruit and immediately felt sick to her stomach. She stood up, thinking to go to the restroom, when suddenly, the room began to spin.

Felicity opened her eyes to see Larzukan pacing back and forth beside their bed.

  “What happened?” she asked softly.

“You passed out and almost cracked your skull open on the table. Luckily for you, Floretta has quick reflexes. I knew you were not feeling well enough to go out today.”

Felicity sat up slowly and just as quickly lay back down. “Maybe you should call the healer. I can’t seem to make things stop spinning.”

Larzukan sat beside her and placed a damp cloth on her head. “The healer is already on his way. Blancon is bringing him with all possible speed. He will be here any minute.”

True to his word, several moments later, Blancon entered with the healer, who immediately kicked everyone out. Larzukan nearly took his head off at the implication that he leave his wife.

“Please, Larzukan, wait outside so the healer can work. I will call you if I need anything.”

He kissed her on her forehead and glared at the healer as he walked into the other room, shutting the door.

Larzukan paced back and forth in the study nervously. Blancon and Floretta tried not to look concerned but were not doing a very good job. Even perky Kate was solemn as they waited for word. An hour later, the healer came out, closing the door behind him, and everyone stood to their feet.

“Well, what’s wrong with my wife? Did you heal her? Is she well?” Larzukan asked, feeling his heart pounding through his chest.

The healer smiled as he laid a hand on Larzukan’s shoulder. “I assure you that your wife is in perfectly good health for her condition.”

Larzukan felt like his world was spinning, and he grabbed the healer’s jacket. “What do you mean, her condition? Tell me what’s wrong with my wife.”

“I am pleased to announce that you are soon to be a father, my King. The queen is pregnant.”

Larzukan stood mutely for several seconds, trying to make sense of everything. Blancon took his arm and led him to a chair. “Congratulations, my friend! I assure you, the kingdom rejoices with you, as do I.”

Larzukan broke out into a lopsided grin as he stood and rushed to Felicity’s side. “We’re going to have a baby,” he said softly as he held her hand.

“Yes, my love, an heir to the Tharagan people. Now if you don’t mind, I think I’d like to throw up now.”

The nine months were very difficult on Felicity, and the people feared greatly that her human anatomy would not be strong enough to bear a Tharagan child. She had not been able to get out of bed for over five months, and Larzukan’s worries became increasingly worse.

When she finally went into labor, the whole kingdom stood in silence, awaiting the news. After ten long hours, the ordeal was finally over.

The crowd waited expectantly outside the palace until at long last, Larzukan arrived. “Behold!” he cried as he pulled back a small blanket. “Heir to the throne of Tharagan, my son, Prince Dane!”

As Larzukan held his son in the air for all to see, the people cheered as the entire kingdom celebrated the first birth in the new Tharagan.

  Chapter 1-Benzen

I think it’s all working out with our escape plan, everything going as it should. I think so right up until the very last minute, when the engine fails. It comes as a violent shudder, the sound of metal crunching and stuttering, coughing like a dying old man before giving out completely. The next thing I feel is the terror inside my gut as we hit a speed I scarcely thought possible.

We’re tumbling, flying, falling fast down to the nearest planet. I see it come closer, a glowing blue orb the color of lightning bolts and vegetation. For a moment, as we plummet down at breakneck speed, I wonder what the puffy, white substance is that caresses the atmosphere of the world we’re about to land on. I ponder it until we’re right in the middle of its softness and realize they’re clouds. They moisten the sides of the ship as we stab through them, a ball of mechanical fire falling to disintegration.

The ground comes up fast, then faster, then faster still until I hold my breath, certain that we will crumble upon impact. Glancing around at my crew, I see them more terrified than I am. Victorinth, her eyes are ablaze in fear, her gaze following mine out the window as the ship falls sideways. She’s holding onto her seat, gripping it as though it’s the last connection she has to her life before it became a disaster, before we felt the fear of falling.

Our eyes meet over the chaos, panic surging between us like a tangible energy. Horror is etched into Victorinth’s face, and I see her lips twitch as she tries to tell me something, but I don’t hear a word. All that enters my ears are the rapid sounds of the craft cracking up around me and the rush of air as it escapes through the gaps in the falling wreckage. It hits my face, cold and caustic, the force almost burning my skin.

The last thing I see before we crash is a large building on the edge of a city. If I knew of its importance to the crew, I would have feared nothing, but in that moment, I’m stricken with an intense fear, one that grows the closer we get.

It’s right before my eyes, the ground black with symmetrical white stripes, and
it’s coming up fast. I resign myself to fate, it will swallow me up and I will live no more. There’s a crunch, Victorinth screams, and the crew falls into a mass of tangled-up terror as the ship splinters at the edges.

Before the blackness arrives, I look up and see the large building beside us. There’s a sign on the wall in an alphabet I’m not familiar with.

  RICHMOND CITY MALL

I squint in an attempt to decipher the symbols, but as I strain my eyes, shock takes over my body. Then, nothing but darkness.

My eyes are stinging, blistering with the pain of unseen molecules. It would seem where we’ve landed has something in the air we’re not used to. It takes a few breaths to adjust to the light. It’s like nothing I’ve seen before. The sky is dark like the blackest onyx, but every now and again, items are illuminated, like buildings or vehicles of sorts. As I glance out the window, I can see there are various other crafts. Some are larger than others and in different colors, but they are mostly of similar length, or at least much smaller than our craft.

“What are you looking for?” One of my team shouts from behind me.

“I don’t know yet,” I answer. “I’m still figuring things out.”

I see something move, another being. They’re tall, slender, ethereal, and calm as they walk across the space in front of me. I see them enter one of the vehicles, then watch as it disappears around a bend.

“What was that? I hear something.”

I can hear the team behind me spruce themselves up and get back on their feet.

“Is anyone hurt?” I turn around to check everyone.

They all look themselves over before shaking their heads.
