"Where is Thomas? Is he alright?"

"Yes." She bit her lip. "Matthew and Sonia are showing him around."

"Is that wise? It’s the start of cold season. And this office is probably full of god knows what else. We don't want him getting ill."

"He still has my antibodies, and he’s had his first jabs. He’ll be okay. Stop worrying. Why don't you lower that towel instead?" She winked at him.

  "Don't be silly."

"Wanting to suck my husband off is silly?"

  "I’m supposed to be working."

"Like you were working the time you came on my thigh on the sofa? Or the time you had me bent over the desk? Or maybe like the time you licked me out while I sat in your chair and read an important email for you? Which one James?"

  'That was different."

  "Why?"

"Because our son is out there being breathed on by probably my entire workforce."

"He’s with Matthew and Sonia. Nothing will happen to him."

"I still think it would be better if we went and brought him to the office. Go wait in the other room while I dress."

She just looked at him. So she wasn't even allowed to watch him put on his clothes now. Fine. Two could play that game. She stomped out of the bathroom to his desk. She flicked the switch to turn the glass opaque and began to undress. When she was naked, she stood silently and waited.

"What the fuck." She heard as he walked in the room.

"Let's go get our son then." She raised an eyebrow and strode confidently, despite the fact her knees were a little wobbly, towards the door.

  "Put your clothes on!"

"Make me." She turned and mischievously smirked.

James' eyes darkened, and he prowled towards her. "I won't ask again." He inhaled deeply, before reaching around her and locking the door. He took her hand in his and brought it to his trousers at the groin. "Is this what you want? You want to take it in that pretty little mouth of yours and suck it hard, until I come all down your throat."

"Yes." She whimpered and bit her lip with anticipation.

"Do you think I should give that to you?"

  "Yes."

  "Really?"

  "Yes."

"You think I should give you the gift of my cock, when you’re standing naked in my office when I asked you to wait for me so we could go and get our son."

Well no, not really when he put it that way but what the hell....

  "Yes."

  "Wrong answer."

She suddenly found herself twisted around and thrust hard against the wall. In quick succession, James landed five hard whacks to her backside. He counted himself.

"Should I give you my cock?"

"Yes." She could take more. She liked being spanked.

  Another five followed.

His voice was thick with his rather precise control when he next spoke.

"Last time. Do you deserve my cock?"

This is where she needed to make a decision.

  "Yes."

"You know, I think I’m going about this all wrong. You seem to want me to tan you hide so pink that I’ll be able to warm my hands on it later. I think, however, I’ll try a different tactic." This time he slid his fingers over the curve of her backside down between her thighs and stroked between her sodden folds. "So wet and ready." He stroked her clit with a firm pressure that would bring her to climax quickly.

"Please." She dropped all bravado as she gripped the wall waiting for the earth shattering shuddering to start.

"See, beautiful, you’re not as good at this game as I am." He leant over and gave her a lingering kiss on the cheek. "And that is why I will always win." With that, he pulled his hand away and unlocked the door. "You better get dressed while I’m getting our son."

"What?" She spun round, "You can't."

"I can, and I am. If you touch yourself, I’ll know."

She picked up the nearest thing to hand, a book, and threw it at him just as he ducked out the door.

  CHAPTER FOUR

  James

  "Boss?"

  "Yeah."

  "Tell me to shut up..."

  "Shut up."

  Matthew groaned.

  "What?"

  "Are you and Amy alright?"

They had just set off from Knightsbridge towards the city and his offices.

  "Why do you ask?"

"She didn't seem that happy with you yesterday."

He grinned. No, she didn't, not after he left her longing and with an unusually sore arse.

"I’ve been a bit reluctant to treat her roughly since she had Thomas. I want to make sure she’s properly healed. She tested my resolve yesterday.”

Matthew chuckled. “Maybe you should have a date night. You haven’t done that since Thomas was born. She’s probably just feeling more like a mother than a wife.”

  “Has Sonia said something?”

“No. Just being observant as I am sometimes.”

"I’ll arrange it. Take her somewhere posh. I would be lost without you, Matthew."

"I think your son would be stuck for entertainment without me."

"I’m starting to worry about his fascination with you."

"He’s just learning a proper Dom face for when he is older."

"That is not something I really need to think about just yet."

  "Sorry."

The car pulled into the underground parking of the offices, and they both got out and went straight up to the top floor. Marie was already at her desk.

  "Morning Marie."

"Morning Mister North. I have placed all the folders on your desk for your meetings today." She spoke without barely looking up at them. There was no pouting or flaunting of her assets. Whatever his new Finance Director had done to this woman was amazing.

"Thank you. Can you bring me a coffee please?"

He strode past the desk and put his hand to the office door.

"Oh. I am sorry, Mr North. I almost forgot. A gentleman is waiting for you in your office. He says he’s a senior consultant at Maudsley?"

"The psychiatric hospital? Did the doctor say what he wanted?"

She finally looked at him and shook her head. "He said it was confidential. And that he could only speak to you. The guards downstairs did a search of him, and he had ID to prove he was a doctor. Did I do something wrong?"

  "No. Thank you."

James beckoned Matthew to join him. His bodyguard dropped a weapon discreetly into his hand, should it be needed.

The doctor was sitting on his couch staring out of the window over the sights of London. He didn't look a threat and when the doctor turned to face him he noticed a hospital lanyard around his neck.

"Mr North? You have an excellent view here."

"James, please. The view is what sold the offices to me." The Doctor stepped forward, and he shook hands with him.

"I am Doctor Rahul." His accent was thick with Hindu influence, but he wasn't difficult to understand.

"May I ask why you are here?" He wasn't going to beat around the bush, not when a bad feeling was beginning to knot in his stomach.

"Do you know a Colette Fisher?"

He sucked in a breath at a name he never wanted to hear again. Matthew stepped forward.

"Mr North wants nothing to do with Miss Fisher. She’s a part of his past that he wishes to forget."

He held his hand out to silence Matthew. His bodyguard stepped back and stood by the door with his head bowed, he would watch everything though.

  "Why are you asking?"

"Miss Fisher was admitted to our hospital last week. She suffered a severe psychotic episode and tried to take her own life."

  "Is she alright?"

"There will be no lasting effects of the attempt. Colette has wounds to her wrists which will heal. Her mental condition, though, is the reason I am here."

He strode to his desk and pulled a chequebook from his drawer. "You want me to pay for her treatment, as I guess she is blaming me."

/>   He signed a cheque and held it out.

"You misunderstand me. Colette's treatment is covered by the NHS, Mr North. I’m here because as part of her therapy, she asked to see you. She said she needed to face you so she could move on and recover. I’m here to ask you if you will agree to that?"

"No fucking way." He slammed his fists into the desk. "I lived a nightmare for years because of her."

"Mr North, I know exactly what happened to you and why. She’s told me everything. I believe that a visit from you will help her considerably."

"She painted me as a devil. "

He turned away from the conversation. "Matthew. Escort Doctor Rahul out." Matthew grabbed the doctor by both arms.

  "This way please."

"I am sorry. I did not mean to cause you such distress. I know the situation must seem hard. Take time to think about it. You know where I am if you change your mind."

  "Get him out, now."

The doctor shrugged out of Matthew's grip and saw himself out. Matthew followed to ensure he was gone. He sat down at his desk and loosened his tie. It was suddenly scorching in the office. Why now. What couldn't that family just leave him alone?

"Mr North?" Marie appeared at the door. "Your coffee." She left, and Matthew walked back in a few moments later.

"What do you make off it all?"

"I’ve put out a phone call. My sources confirmed that Colette is there but will get back to me as soon as possible with more details."

"Let me know." He took a sip of his coffee. "Do you think I should go see her?"

"Not my place to answer that boss."

"Alright. I will put it another way. If you were in my position would you see her?"

"If I were in your situation. I would discuss it with Sonia and make the decision together."

James put the mug down and stood. "Go get the car."

  CHAPTER FIVE

  James & Amy

James opened the front door to hear Thomas squealing with delight. He followed the happy sounds to the lounge and found his father flying Thomas around the room like an aeroplane. He wasn't sure his mum was as impressed with the activity as she followed them around, prepared to catch him.

"Is Granddad getting you ready for my next business trip?" He chuckled as he spoke.

"James? What are you doing home? Is everything alright?" His mother turned to him with a worried expression on her face. He reached out and brought Thomas into his arms and kissed the top of his head. He snuggled down into his arms and cooed contently.

"Nothing to worry about mum. Where’s Amy?"

"She looked drained. She said you had a late night and she was up with Thomas twice. We sent her to sleep."

He used the hand not securely holding Thomas and rubbed the back of his neck. "Yes, it was a little late when we got to bed." He gave his son to his mother.

"What is it?" His mother had always been able to read him.

"Let me talk to her first."

Before heading to the bedroom, he stopped into the kitchen and made Amy a coffee.

"Amy." He called softly as he walked in the door to their bedroom and place the coffee down on her bedside table. She stirred a little but did not wake. He sat on the bed and gently rocked her, feeling guilty at having to wake her after she’d had so little sleep. This needed to be sorted though. "Beautiful, I need you to wake." She stirred again and blearily peered at him through half open eyes.

  "James, what time is it?"

  "Ten-thirty."

"Ten-thirty? Why are you here? Thomas?" She sat bolt upright in the bed.

"He’s fine. Mum and Dad have him."

"Why aren't you at work." She stretched and yawned at the same time.

"I need to talk to you."

  "Okay."

"Here," He held the coffee to her mouth. "Drink some of this first." She did so with his help. He loved it when she was sleepy, it brought out the protective Dominant in him.

"Enough, thank you." She pushed the cup away and lay back on her pillows. He placed the cup back down. "Stop avoiding telling me what is happening."

  "Am I that obvious?"

  "Just a little."

"Alright." He settled back on the bed next to her. "I had someone waiting for me at the office this morning. A doctor. Colette was admitted last week after trying to commit suicide. She is having treatment, but she wants to see me."

  "What did you say?"

"I had Matthew throw him out of the office."

  "But?"

  "I started thinking."

"You want to go and see her?" He reached out and took her hand in his.

"I don't know what to do. But I couldn't make a decision without you."

He let go of her hand, cupped her chin, pulled her towards him, and kissed her lips.

"Do you want to see her?"

"Not if it is going to hurt you."

  "That wasn't what I asked."

"I feel that if it helps her recover, then I should see her. I think I’ve always held some guilt that I didn't try to rescue her before. It’s evident now that her brothers had severe mental issues. Maybe she isn't as far gone as Jacob and Joshua were."

"Then you have your answer. You go to the hospital." She gave him a gentle smile.

"But I don't want you to get upset. Too many bad memories lay this way for both of us."

"That was over a year ago. Since then I have married you, and we have had Thomas. I’m happy. I’ve known all along that what happened in your past may surface again, just like something with my uncle may. But I have also realised that from day to day we grow stronger together, and anything bad happens we will face it together. Divided control." She shifted on the bed and positioned herself over his lap and nestled her head in his arms.

"I still can't believe you chose me."

"I told you, you are the best in bed." She giggled her reply.

"None of that while you’re exhausted.”

"I will hold you to that later." She playfully rubbed his leg. "When do you want to go and see Colette?"

  He cleared his throat. "Now."

  She groaned.

  "I’ll get dressed."

  "Why?"

"I’m coming with you. Miranda and Pete have Thomas. I'll feed him before we go, and he’ll be okay for a few hours."

"You don't have to come. You’re supposed to be resting."

Her frame tensed, but she made no effort to move.

"You don't want me to come?"

  "I didn't say that."

  "But you don't?"

"No. I want you to come."

"Then I'll be there to support you if need be."

"I love you." He kissed the top of her head.

"Go phone the doctor. I will be ready to go in about half an hour."

  Amy

"Why now?" Even though James needed to see Colette, that didn't stop her from being angry that his past was coming back to haunt them again. She supposed at least they had enjoyed a year without any drama. She tapped her nails on the chair. What was taking so long? She pulled the sleeve back on her jumper to look at her watch. Half an hour. Why did she agree to come?

The door opened, and the doctor came out.

"Mrs North. Colette and your husband would like you to join them."

  "Is that wise?"

"Mr North and Colette have had a good discussion. She expressed a desire to meet you. She is happy that James has found someone that he can be happy with."

  "Alright, I’ll go in."

The first thing she noticed when she entered the room was the tension. Colette sat huddled on a chair, her frightened eyes flicking between all the people in the chamber. She was pale and looked exhausted. James sat opposite her, one of his legs crossed over his knee, his face tight with worry. He reached for her to sit next to him.

"Colette, this is my wife, Amy."

She held out her hand in greeting, but Colette just regarded it like it was filthy. Alright, this wasn't going well so far.

&nb
sp; "She the one you killed Jacob for?"

"Jacob held Amy hostage and unfortunately died during the rescue."

"Pretty. Jacob always did like a blonde. Shame he couldn't make babies with her. They would have been cute." Colette turned to her. "Does he tie you up, spank you, and fuck you up the arse?"

"That isn't a polite way to speak to Mrs North." The Doctor reprimanded.

  Colette shrugged. "Well does he?"

"Colette," James spoke this time, his voice laced with authority.

Amy took his hand. She wasn't ashamed of what she and James did. "It’s alright." She gave James a reassuring smile before turning her face neutral to reply to Colette. "He does."

"You’re his submissive?" Colette leant forward on the chair, her eyes wide.

"I am his sexual submissive. In all other aspects, we are equal."

  "You enjoy it?"

"I would not be with him if I didn't."

"He’s corrupted you. You don't really like that." She stood up.

"Colette sit down." The doctor warned.

  She shook her head.

"What is there to like about it? He degrades you."

"That is where you are totally wrong. He worships me." She kept her voice calm, her back straight and her hand held by James.

"No. You can't." Colette started shaking. "You can't. You just can't."

  "Why not?"

  "It’s wrong."

  "Why is it wrong?"

  "Because they said so."

  "Who said so?"

  "My brothers."

They fired their conversation off rapidly at each other. The men in the room observed readily, prepared to act if needed but otherwise remained silent.

"Colette, who taught your brothers to believe such things were wrong?"

She started rocking as she stood.

  "I don't know."

  "Was it your parents?"

"They're dead. They died when I was young. We lived in foster care most of our lives."

She looked to the doctor, who motioned for her to continue.

  "Mine are dead as well."

  "Really."

"Yes. A few years ago now."

"Did you live in foster care?"

  She shook her head.

"No, I was eighteen when they died. I was looked after by my uncle."

"Did he tell you that the way James treats you was right?" Colette turned the questioning back around to her.
