That thought raced through his brain, and he stopped walking, almost dropping to the ground. He did love Scotty, no matter how much he didn’t want to submit to the man. Wesley swiped to answer his phone, but the call had already dropped to voicemail.

Wesley closed his eyes, wondering if he should call back when his phone started ringing again. He answered before looking who was calling, only noticing after he answered that it was Scotty. Now that he’d connected, he feared talking to him.

  “Wesley, are you there?”

  “Yes, I’m—”

“Where are you?” Scotty spoke quickly, the urgency transmitting through the phone.

“In Savannah, heading over to my apartment from one of the dorms.”

“Don’t. I heard Aaron was granted bail. You need to be with other people.”

“Why didn’t Officer Stephens call me?”

“He tried, but he couldn’t get through. And he thought you were still with me. He called me, and I called you.”

“Oh.” Wesley’s phone beeped, indicating he had another call coming in. He checked the screen, seeing that it was Stephens. “He’s calling me now.”

  “I’m coming to get you.”

  “Don’t.”

“No, I’m going to come get you, and we’re going to keep you safe together. Once I know you have somewhere safe to stay, you can go there. But I need to do this. Let me keep you safe.”

Wesley couldn’t admit his feelings. He was in love with Scotty, and once they were together, he wouldn’t be able to hide it. Now that some time had passed, he realized what Scotty had shared with him had to have been a terrible situation, but at the time, he couldn’t hear it. He didn’t want to hear it, and now that he’d thought about it, he knew he’d been too harsh on Scotty.

“I’m staying at Forsyth Hall on Barnard Street.”

“Shit, that’s too far from your classes. I’ll be there in a few minutes. Don’t be alone. Please stay safe.”

Wesley wanted to tell Scotty to shove it, but he knew he needed protection. He held his tongue and hung up, not wanting to be alone with Aaron out there. He phoned Stephens while he waited for Scotty but only got his voicemail. He hung up after telling the officer he’d be okay.

Waiting for Scotty was excruciating. He wanted to call him a hundred times and tell him to stay away, but then he wanted to call him a hundred more times and tell him to hurry because he missed him. It was awful and painful.

Before Scotty could make it to the dorm doors, Wesley saw him and raced out of the building. His excitement propelled him forward and straight into the arms of the man he loved.

“Oh, hey.” Slowly Scotty wrapped his arms around Wesley, kissing his hairline. Wesley was just as confused by his reaction as Scotty was. He didn’t know why he threw himself in Scotty’s arms, but seeing the man brought forth such a reaction that he couldn’t hold back. They hugged for a moment more before separating, Scotty searching his eyes. “I’m glad to see you.”

Wesley bit his lower lip. “I shouldn’t have done that.”

  “No, I liked it.”

“We need to talk before we—I can’t—”

“Before you say anything else, let’s go somewhere quiet and talk.”

“Okay.” Wesley clutched his hands at his waist and followed after Scotty. “Hey, I still need to stop by my apartment and pick up a few clothes.”

“Sure. We’ll swing by while we’re over here.”

The closer they got to Wesley’s apartment, the worse he felt. He’d not been back since the attack. There was no way he’d be able to enter his apartment without Scotty at his side. What had he been thinking leaving Scotty? They parked, and he blew out a breath.

“Hey, are you going to be okay going back in there?”

  “I don’t know.”

“After I was free from the torture I lived with, I needed something that kept me grounded,” said Scotty.

  “What did you do?”

“The library helped. Everything was in order there, nothing out of place. I had control.”

“What about the sex? How did you get involved in the sex club?” Wesley asked.

Scotty huffed out a breath. He closed his eyes, and his mouth drew thin. It looked like he wasn’t going to say anything, and Wesley had about given up when Scotty spoke.

“Sex is hard for me. I know. I’m a Dom, and I seem like I have it all together, but I don’t. Do you know how long it’s been since I’ve had sex and not done a scene to get my rocks off?”

“I don’t understand. We had sex.”

“Yes, we did, but before that, I didn’t just have sex. I had to have it controlled, and I had to be in charge.”

The depths that Scotty had suffered began to sink in. “Scotty, how did you survive?”

He groaned and his shoulders shook. “I have no idea.”

  “Babe, I’m sorry.”

  “I know.”

“I can’t do that stuff, though,” Wesley said.

  “I want—God, I don’t think I can say this.”

Wesley placed his hand on Scotty’s arm, stroking the muscles. “Just say it, I’ll be okay.”

“I came at you all wrong.”

Wesley stilled, his mind whirring. “What do you mean?”

“Simple, I didn’t respect what you’d been through. I was so focused on how hurt I’d been when I was a child and how being a Dom made me feel better, so I went to you as a Dom.”

  “Yeah, I was frightened.”

Scotty cleared his throat. “That’s why I need you to dominate me.”

  “What?”

“You need the power. You need the control.”

  “Scotty, I don’t think I can.”

“Would you think about it? I could train you.”

“But who would I do it with? I don’t want to have sex with anyone but—” Wesley couldn’t finish the sentence. They were supposed to be over, or at least he thought they’d broken up, but now, with Scotty sitting with him outside of his apartment, he felt like they were together again.

Scotty’s brows lifted, his gaze hopeful. “Who, Wesley—who do you want to have sex with?”

Revealing the truth was difficult. He’d had boyfriends before, but nothing like what he felt for Scotty. “I can’t be exactly what you want.”

“You haven’t given me a chance to tell you what I really want.”

“Can you honestly say you’ll never go back to Barringers?”

Scotty closed his eyes, and his face turned red. It was enough of an answer for Wesley. He moved to open the door, but Scotty’s hand on his wrist stopped him. “I need to tell you something.”

Wesley could tell by the look in Scotty’s eyes that he didn’t want to hear what the man was going to say. “What?” Wesley whispered.

“Before any of this happened, right after our first date, I was feeling out of control and went to Barringers to prove to myself that I didn’t need you. A sub approached me, and I turned him down. Then Aaron pushed the sub up against the wall and started hurting him.”

Dread filled Wesley. He was right—he didn’t want to hear what Scotty had to say. Scotty’s stiff posture and the frown turning down the corners of his mouth weren’t a good sign. This would change everything in such a terrible way he didn’t think he could live through it.

“I stepped in to protect the sub, and once I did, I couldn’t back down—or so I thought.”

“Did you have sex with him?”

“No, I haven’t had sex with anyone other than you since we started dating, but I did do a scene with the guy.”

Wesley didn’t know what to think. The intimacy he’d seen between pairs at the club was intense, almost more so than during sex. “So you didn’t have sex with him.” Wesley’s brain started spinning as he thought back to when they first started dating. Scotty had come to him one night, wild and almost out of control. They’d had sex that night, uncontrollable sex that left him stunned and aching for more. “You really didn’t h
ave sex with him, though?”

  “No, I didn’t.”

“But you came to me that night, right?”

Scotty didn’t say a word, nodding his response. He bit his lower lip, glancing away as his brows scrunched together.

“You told me that I was yours. You kept saying that over and over again. Did you really mean it?”

  “Wesley, I—yes, I meant it.”

  “But are you mine?”

“God yes, I can’t function without you.”

“What about the club and scenes?”

“No, that doesn’t matter any longer.”

“And if I choose not to be dominant over you?”

“You are an amazing man, and I admire you so much. Do you have any idea at all how strong you are?”

Wesley blushed furiously, his whole face turning red. It made Scotty want him even more. Doing a scene at the club with Kevin had been a mistake. It felt good to tell Wesley and get it off his chest, but he wished he hadn’t needed to.

“I need to get my things.”

“Wesley, please don’t run away from me.” Their gazes met, sending a shockwave of awareness through Scotty.

“I don’t know if we can be together. I may love you, but there are too many things that have happened.”

Scotty’s heart soared and his chest tightened. Wesley loved him, and that was the most important thing. He could change and adjust—he would. For Wesley, he’d do anything.

Wesley opened the car door and stepped out. Scotty followed, staying close and keeping an eye out for Aaron. Not that he thought the man would attack again at Wesley’s place, but he wasn’t sure. Wesley had the door open and was in the apartment before Scotty made it halfway up the walk. The memories from the other night slammed into him, and he picked up his pace, wanting to be near Wesley.

When he stepped into the apartment, he knew Wesley wasn’t dealing with the situation well. His entire body was shaking, and tears filled his eyes.

Scotty went to him, placing his arm gently around his lover. “Please let me help you.”

Wesley stiffened, and he feared he’d lost, that Wesley would rebel against him, lashing out to show his independence.

  “What if I hurt you?”

It took Scotty a few seconds to realize what Wesley was talking about, but when he did, he gulped in a breath, his whole body shaking. “I’m a big boy, I can take the pain.”

  “Not at the club, right?”

“No, in my home. There will be no pressure to get it right, only you and me, that’s all. You can do what you like.”

  “Have you ever subbed before?”

  “No.”

“Scotty, why are you doing this for me?”

“Because you need to be in control, and I need to show you that I trust you with that control.”

“What if I can’t? What if we’re doing this and I just can’t?”

Scotty kissed Wesley’s cheek, then his nose, and finally his lips. “You do what you feel comfortable doing. That is the only requirement.”

“I don’t think I can ever live here again.”

Scotty nodded, looking around at the disarray. No one had come in to clean up the blood from Dustin’s head injury, nor had any of the knocked over chairs been set upright. The disaster reminded him how terrible life could be when chaos reigned. The need to control wove through him, but he pushed it away, preparing himself to let Wesley take the reins and command him. It frightened him and excited him at the same time, leaving him wondering if he could actually submit.

  Chapter Nineteen

Wesley looked at the cuffs in his hand and swayed on his feet. Scotty really thought he could do this, but he still had doubts. The whips were out, but there was no way he could actually hit Scotty. He stared at the round globes of Scotty's ass and thought about the spanking he'd received. It had felt so good. Maybe he could. He imagined using only his hand on Scotty, pinking up his cheeks. Blood rushed to his cock, and his dick filled out, hardening in his jeans. He glanced up, happy to see Scotty watching him. The rush of power was foreign to him.

Scotty rolled over and squirmed, lifting his hips and moaning. A bead of pre-cum rolled down his shaft. Wesley tossed the cuffs on the bed. “Put them on.”

“Yes, sir.” Scotty smiled up at him, wrapping the fur-lined leather around one wrist, then the other. Wesley reached into the chest and pulled out two more cuffs, tossing them on the bed too. “You want me to wear these too?” Scotty looked so cute when he asked the question.

“Yes. I want you spread-eagle on the bed.”

Scotty sat up and slipped the cuffs around his ankles, his gaze only flicking away when he had to buckle the leather. “I’m ready.”

Wesley bit his lip as he grabbed the strap and attached it to Scotty’s right leg. He pulled the strap tight, forcing Scotty to straighten his leg. “Is that okay?”

  “Yes,” Scotty moaned.

He attached the loop to Scotty’s left leg, pulling tight. Their gazes met, and the heat almost made Wesley melt. Scotty moved to stroke his cock, and Wesley jerked back, shaking his head but wondering if he should say something. Scotty lifted his eyebrow, and Wesley knew he was being challenged.

  “Stop.”

Scotty stilled, his face going pink. “What?”

“Spread your arms to the side and stop touching yourself.”

It took a moment for Scotty to do as he was asked, and Wesley wondered if this was going to work. Scotty was such a strong man, and he had never subbed before. Scotty had only submitted this time because he thought it would help Wesley, but the man wasn’t a natural at submission. When Scotty had complied, Wesley allowed his gaze to rove down his lover’s body, then back up, enjoying the view. Scotty’s arm flinched, and it again looked like he was going to start stroking himself, but Wesley caught his gaze and shook his head.

  “I said don’t touch yourself.”

A shiver streaked through Scotty. “Yes, sir,” he groaned, muscles flexing as he adjusted on the bed.

“You are so beautiful,” Wesley whispered. He pulled off his shirt and noticed Scotty moving to stroke his cock again. “Hey, don’t move your arm.”

  “You’re killing me here.”

Wesley made sure Scotty was watching him, and then he ran his hand up his torso to his pecs and flicked his nipples. Scotty moaned and arched up off the bed. “No moving. Am I going to have to secure your arms, or can you obey?”

Scotty lifted his head and stared at his cock, then at Wesley. “Attach the restraints.”

Wesley shimmied out of his jeans and underwear, smiling when Scotty groaned. He went to the bed and grabbed his lover’s wrist. Scotty reached for Wesley’s dick, but he jumped out of the way.

“You are a bad boy. What do I have to do to make you behave?”

Lust burned deep in Scotty’s eyes, and Wesley could see the dominant part of him in that gaze. He feared what would happen once he let Scotty go. “You aren’t going to punish me for this later.”

“No, babe. I’m submitting to you because I want to be dominated by you. Please, tie me down and drive me crazy.”

Wesley attached Scotty’s other arm to the restraint, then bent over his chest, thinking about licking him, but he changed his mind and leaned over more, grasping his own dick and rubbing it along Scotty’s fuzz-covered chest and down to his treasure trail.

“Fuck—oh God—what the hell are you doing to me?”

Wesley lowered to lick the trail of pre-cum off Scotty’s body. His tongue flicked over Scotty’s heated skin, his teeth grazing the silken flesh after every few licks. Once he was at Scotty’s nipple, he bit down, eliciting a guttural scream from Scotty. He glanced down to Scotty’s dick, seeing the flow of pre-cum. His man was going to blow soon, but he wanted to be impaled on that cock when he came. Wesley grabbed a condom, and Scotty moaned.

“Babe, go slow, please. And you really don’t need that condom, like I said, I don’t mind catching from you without a condom on.”
/>   A smile slowly spread across his lips. “Oh, honey, you only think you know what I’m doing. I’m the one in charge, and I decide what we do.”

Scotty locked gazes with him and trembled when Wesley bent over him, rolling the condom onto Scotty’s dick. “Yes, sir,” he squeaked out as Wesley rubbed his hand up and down Scotty’s cock. “Fuck, that’s good.”

“Now, you don’t move as I ride you. You start pumping, and I’m going to stop and not let you have an orgasm.” Wesley straddled Scotty, lifting up to position himself over Scotty’s dick.

“Holy shit,” Scotty screamed as Wesley lowered slowly, opening for Scotty to slide in. “My God—”

  “You like?”

Scotty strained against the bonds, his teeth gritted and lips pulled back. Wesley stopped moving, and Scotty opened his eyes, glaring. Having power was difficult for Wesley, but he liked this. Liked commanding Scotty, expecting him to do his every wish.

“Relax, I’ll get you where you want to go, but you have to let me lead you,” Wesley said.

  “Shit.”

“Is that what you’re really supposed to say?”

“No—I mean, yes, sir. I’ll relax and let you guide me.”

Wesley stayed still until Scotty calmed beneath him, his arms no longer straining against the bindings. He looked over his shoulder, noticing that Scotty’s toes were no longer curled.

“That’s it, love, let me lead.”

Scotty wanted to toss Wesley off him and pound into him. He was close to losing everything. All his control had been handed over, and he felt weak and insignificant. Giving up control brought back memories from his early years where he’d been abused and treated like crap by his dad’s friends and customers. He shivered and tried to push away the thoughts, closing his eyes as he tried to focus.

“Open your eyes.” Wesley’s voice was strong and more commanding than he’d ever heard him before.

He snapped open his eyes, his gaze searching out and finding Wesley’s bright blue eyes staring down at him. The negative emotions lessened as he focused on Wesley. The slow and steady rhythm Wesley had set was nothing like the punishing hammering from the old bastards he’d taken as a preteen.
