“My fuck? I’m not sure I know what part that is,” she teased.

Before I could say anything more, she ducked her head down and took my cock back between her lips. I couldn’t form another coherent sentence and succumbed to the skill of her mouth.

Skill was an understatement. As she dragged backward and left a slick sheen on my dick, I shuddered and anxiously awaited her return. The playful light had returned to her eyes, the glow that I missed since her ex damaged her car. She consumed me again in a single stroke and began to draw me in to completion. One inch at a time, my shaft disappeared past her plump lips, a welcome sight that I watched to the last second.

I wasn’t a small man in the least. Back in my dating days, before I met my wife, nothing less than a large condom would comfortably fit around my thick girth. And since Dani had told me she was protected, I didn’t have to bother with one now. I trusted her.

“Dan... Dani, wait... I’m too much for you,” I barely breathed out. She peeked up at me with a mischievous sparkle in her eyes, swallowed to loosen her throat, and thrust the final inches of my length past her lips. Despite my size, she deep throated me so proficiently that I gripped the sheets and gasped in surprise. She cradled me from tip to base, completely and wholly plunged into her throat until her nose pressed against the dark curls at my pelvis.

She kneaded my balls and gently squeezed the weight in her hands as she pulled back. Her tongue teased my sensitive cockhead and prodded the hole, lapping away a clear droplet beading from the tip. I became helplessly captive in her competent hands as she came alive with enthusiasm and drew me in deep again.

“Dani, sweet Lord, baby. I can’t keep...” I wouldn’t last long if she continued at this rate.

Daniela made cock sucking seem like an art. She slid her mouth to the tip and engulfed me anew with zeal. Something in her had changed, and I lacked the concentration or willpower to investigate it. I became her willing captive, a slave to her talents each time my dick disappeared between her lips and down her throat.

I didn’t warn her of my impending orgasm, nor did I need to. Our on-and-off intimacy over the past couple of weeks had given her time to learn me well. She drew back, her mouth leaving me entirely before she swiped a bottle of clear oil from the bedside table. Within seconds, she’d squirted it until my dick glistened with more than her spittle. Before I could even voice a moan of complaint, she leaned forward and took me between her breasts. Using her forearms to press them in tight together, she slid her body up and down, trapping me within her oiled cleavage.

“Holy shit!” My shocked brain couldn’t dredge up any finer compliments. Utterly entranced, my eyes followed her up and down motion over my cock, and my hips surged upward.

“Come for me, Russ,” she urged.

My fingers tightened in the sheets, my abs tensed, and an explosion of come jetted over her generous tits. I watched the entire display from start to finish, treated to the hottest thing I ever witnessed in all of my life. She made it a spectacle, sort of a show for me to enjoy.

“Wow.” My voice sounded raw. I laid there atop her girlish comforters, boneless as a fish. “You did... wow,” I repeated again on the next breath.

“You don’t mind that I didn’t, you know... swallow?” Her fingers had replaced her breasts, and she ran them down my softening dick with tender, slow strokes.

I wanted to ask what idiot put that foolish notion in her head, but I already knew. “No. No, pretty sure I don’t mind,” I replied. A blow job was a blow job, and the one given to me was stellar. I groaned and forced myself to sit up and gaze down at her. Daniela had knelt at the edge of the bed, a naked but beautiful mess covered in my cum. The sight made me groan anew, but my dying erection remained lifeless. Not now, but soon, I’d have to have her again and feel her body trembling around me.

Sudsing her up in the steamy shower was more than enough to invigorate me. We eventually moved into the shower to clean up, but my good intentions didn’t last. I lifted Dani up, planted her ass against the wet wall, and drove into her hot and fast. By the time the water went tepid, we were both ready to collapse into the sheets for a long night of sleep.

My bear had bonded with her, driving me head over heels in love. I wanted to tell her the truth, and all I needed to do was figure out how.

  Chapter Nine

  ~Daniela~

Mama and Papa showed up bright and early Sunday morning for brunch. They brought Marta along with them to prove that my new town of residence wasn’t filled with gun-toting Texans ready to pump us full of lead.

“Happy birthday, mi hermana!” Marta threw her arms around me and practically knocked me off my feet before I could invite them inside. Laughing, I squeezed her back and accepted hugs from both of my parents, too.

“Your place is so big. Whoa.” Marta twisted all around and then peered at my brand new leather sectional. Russ and I had picked it up during the week and I really loved it. I didn’t regret the decision to let him talk me into buying nice things.

“This is a very beautiful neighborhood, Daniela.” My mother stared around the foyer as they removed their shoes.

“This house is so large,” my father commented, echoing my sister’s sentiments. “Are you sure this is in your budget?”

Leave it to my dad to worry about my future funds.

“My landlord is an Air Force veteran. You know, the kind of guy who goes off and does contract missions for the government now. Honestly, Papa? I think I’m mostly house-sitting for him.”

“What happens when he wants to move back in?” Marta plopped down on the couch and kicked the footrest up.

“I don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soon. He’s always flying somewhere to do mercenary work. And well...” Was living with Russ out of the question once a few months passed and we became close enough to invade each other’s space on a daily basis? I liked the thought of making him breakfast every morning.

“Come on, lemme show you outside. He has this amazing deck out there.”

We chilled on the patio, chatted, and played catch-up on the big events in my life. By the time I finished telling the three of them all about Russ, my mom had begun to clap her hands with joy.

“Where is he? Does he not want to meet us?” Mama asked.

“It’s not that. He really does want to meet you, but he teaches self-defense classes sometimes on Sunday afternoons. It was already scheduled. I promise, I’ll fetch Russ once he’s home and we’ll all meet up in Huntsville for dinner around seven.”

My father didn’t appear convinced. It took a little more to win him over sometimes. “We’ll go check in to our hotel rooms then.”

“Are you sure you don’t want to stay here?” I asked, probably for the tenth time.

“No, no, we don’t want to put you out. Besides, you know your father, he goes to bed early and likes to have the TV on loud.” My mom grimaced but had no true malice in her tone. After thirty years of marriage, she liked to have a movie blasting, too. She just wouldn’t admit it.

“Which is why I have a room of my own,” Marta added with a cheeky grin. “Rafael is going to meet us for dinner as well, okay?”

Marta’s boyfriend was, like his namesake, an artist, and he attended one of the nearby schools. I didn’t think their long distance relationship would hold while she attended a college three hours away. But it did endure, and had held for the past year since she’d transferred away for a better program at a larger university in San Antonio. My mother and I were positive he’d be popping the question soon. We’d then have a beautiful wedding to plan for once she graduated.

About an hour later, Russ’ pickup rumbled by. I waited until he phoned me with an enthusiastic happy birthday before I embarked on the five minute walk to his place. He met me on the porch with a sweet kiss then invited me to his backyard.

“Got you something today on my way home.”

“You didn’t have to get me anything, Russ, really.” Having him was mor
e than enough for me. Plus, agreeing to brave my family this early in our relationship felt like a gift all its own.

“What did I say about gifts, hmm?”

I kept the gardenia he bought for me in my bedroom window. The rich scent of the flowers made my room smell divine, an ever present memory of the man who gave them to me. While I had discovered my generous boyfriend made more money in one year than I’d earned in a decade, I still felt off sometimes about accepting gifts from him that cost more than ten dollars. He outdid himself this time.

The gift-wrapped box opened to reveal a glossy snub-nosed revolver with an ivory grip. It gleamed like silver, and may very well have been plated with it for all I knew. “Russ, I can’t accept this.”

The boyish grin on his handsome face melted my heart. It made his chocolate brown eyes light up. “Yes, you can. Happy birthday. Now load it up and get your sweet ass over here to test it out.”

According to Russ, I was amazing with a shotgun. We’d practiced on and off at his home and even visited a range to shoot one of his handguns. Apparently, he wanted to reward my progress with a brand new Smith & Wesson revolver for my birthday.

Michael had given me an apron and brand new skillet once for a birthday, then demanded to know why I didn’t get into the kitchen to make him some bacon. He didn’t appreciate the lip I gave him afterward, and once I got off the floor, I made him a great breakfast with my new gifts.

This was different. This was a gift from the heart and one meant purely for me. Russ led me over to his firing mound where he’d already posted up a new silhouette. I’d blasted a fist-sized hole into the last one from repeated shots and developing precision. The area was all set up for me, my goggles and earmuffs waiting on the small table with a box of bullets. While he watched me, I loaded six rounds, flicked the safety, and took aim. He didn’t lurk behind me anymore these days, nor did he coach and remind me with gentle cues. Patient as ever, he leaned against a tree and pulled out his phone to text.

Slow is smooth, I reminded myself. And smooth is fast. I used to jam my finger down on the trigger and become discouraged when the gun jumped in my hands. My bullets would fly wildly into the silhouette’s gut or shoulder, never striking the mark. This time, the bark preceded a hole in the silhouette’s face where the nose belonged. Satisfied, I fired again until the gun clicked empty then I set it down on the table and walked up to examine my work.

“You don’t have to keep it if you don’t want to.”

  “Russ—”

He eased up behind me and curled one arm around my waist. “I did get you a backup gift just in case. I just wanted to give this one to you first—”

“I love it, and I’ll be happy to take it home.” I twisted within his embrace and threw my arms around his neck. “It’s awesome. I love it, and I—” Love you. A strange feeling rolled through my belly and tensed my muscles. I couldn’t speak it aloud, but the realization snuck into my thoughts and stole my breath. I did. If I didn’t love him, then it was a feeling damned close to love. “I think you’re amazing.”

“I hope you think I’m amazing still after this confession. Your car is ready. Taylor actually finished it last night, but I told him to hold on to it until today since it’s your birthday.”

I shoved him in the chest. “Get out.”

“Sorry! I didn’t think one day would impact things.”

“It doesn’t, but you could have at least told me. You can tell him he’s an asshole too for not calling me.”

“Well, you can tell him yourself. He just pulled into my driveway about five minutes ago.”

“I want to shoot you with my new gun.”

“You won’t after you see your car.”

I ran ahead of Russ for the front lawn. Taylor’s tow truck was parked on the road but my car was in the drive. He emerged from my Chevy Malibu and shut the door just as I passed the corner. I didn’t even recognize it. My modest midnight blue sedan had been transformed, replaced by a sleek twin in vibrant teal green and purple. My favorite colors. Russ had told him my favorite colors, and better than that, was the fact that he’d noticed them at all. Screaming, I leapt up and down in place then hugged Russ tightly before rushing over for a better look.

Tears streamed down my face as I circled around my Malibu. An aqua-hued galaxy faded into a deep plum with silver and white stars, then back to teal again at the trunk end of the car. Taylor had taken my plain vehicle and transformed it into a universe on wheels. Tinted windows all around concealed any changes inside, but there were enough on the outside to hold my attention.

“I have hubcaps now! Fancy hubcaps!” I blubbered. The metallic teal practically glowed in the sunshine.

“You haven’t had a look inside yet,” Taylor said.

I flew to the driver’s door and opened it. My dull gray interior had been trashed from the day I bought the used car, and worsened by Michael smoking inside of it. I slipped into the seat and inhaled the new car smell of synthetic charcoal grey leather. The steering wheel cover featured my favorite cartoon fairy and felt smooth as satin under my hands.

  “Start it up,” Taylor encouraged.

He’d left the keys in, so I fired up the ignition, noticing the dash instruments were all changed. Digital readouts glowed back at me. I screamed.

“I think she likes it, man,” Taylor said with a laugh. He and Russell high-fived each other.

“How much do I owe you?”

“Nothing, sweetie. Your insurance covered most of the necessities. I mean, that jackass did some damage, and thanks to the storm, your insurance covered an overhaul on your electrical system. I had fun and threw in a few things sitting around the shop. Shit someone ordered and changed their mind about that we never sent back. Believe me, it was a relief getting rid of all that junk lying around.”

“There’s no way you threw in all of this.”

“Naw, I didn’t. The paint job upgrade is gratis, so are the new wheels and tint job on your windows. As for the rest... well... we’ll consider the deductible and other extras covered by a charitable donor.” He glanced at Russ.

  “Russ, you didn’t.”

“I’m not claiming or denying it,” Russ replied.

After I jumped out of the car, I flung myself against Russ for the second or third time. Who could keep count? I embraced him fiercely and peppered his face with kisses while his friend laughed. “Was this my other present?” I asked.

“Yeah... Happy birthday, Dani. You deserve this. C’mon, Taylor. Tell her what all’s in the car.”

“Sure thing, bro. All right. First off, me and the guys placed a brand new alarm on this girl. It has an invisible sensing field that’ll alert you of any interference. If the car windows are shattered again, it’ll send a message to the police. And... you can control it through your smartphone once you download the app. I know how y’all chicks are about your phones.”

I threw myself into Russ’ arms and hugged him until his rich laughter filled my ears.

“What the hell? I’m the one who did the work. Where’s my hug?” Taylor demanded.

“Get your own woman,” Russ muttered to him.

I couldn’t help myself. I peeled myself off Russ and hugged his friend tight. “It looks amazing!”

“Damn straight it does.” Taylor lifted me off my feet for a brief spin then passed me back over into Russ’ arms. “Well, I do believe my work here is done.”

“You hold on a sec. Need to talk to you about something,” I heard Russ saying to his friend as I wandered around my vehicle again, touching and stroking the flawless paint job. “Dani, I made reservations for us. You wanna go change?” he asked me.

“Should I drive the car home?”

“Hell yeah. Take it home and change. I’ll be over in a sec.” He passed my new revolver to me with the safety on. I would have forgotten and left it with him if he didn’t.

We’d already talked and discussed the possibility of enrolling myself into a concealed handgun class. Wi
th my new S&W, I felt more confident about carrying for my protection. I drove my new-to-me car home, squealing joyously the entire way like a child on Christmas. I even triggered the alarm the moment I shut the car door.

Once inside, I set my shiny revolver on the kitchen counter and darted upstairs to my bedroom to change. A quick rummage in the closet provided a cream, off-the-shoulder dress with a billowy bodice. The perfect amount of cleavage.

I let my hair down and misted it with lavender water to refresh my curls. Russ appreciated my casual looks, adored me without makeup, and simply liked me for being me. With him, I could be myself.

Had I ever felt so in love with Michael? A giddy feeling overtook me until I giggled crazily in the bathroom. I applied some sweet, peach-flavored gloss to my lips and admired my hair again. My dress emphasized my cleavage and tits.

“Maybe just a little make-up.” I peered down into the makeup kit and selected a brush for my eyeshadow palette. When I glanced up again, a frowning face peered back at me through the mirror. There was a man standing behind me in the open bathroom door to my bedroom. I shrieked and whirled around to face my ex-husband in the most unlikely place I ever expected to find him. My home. Mike was in my home, violating the private sanctity of my new residence.

“You look like a slut.” Mike’s gaze lingered on my breasts. He was at least ten pounds thinner. His gaunt face had hollowed a bit, and his bloodshot eyes told a tale I knew well. He’d been up all night drinking and the binge had extended to the day. The smell of tequila wafted off him and assaulted my nose. Shit. Why hadn’t I set the house alarm, too?

“I look great. That’s why you’re here, isn’t it? No one else wants to put up with your shit, right?”

The shotgun was in my closet, behind Mike, and far out of my reach. All I had at hand was a jar of cream eyeshadow and an Avon make-up brush with a tapered black handle.

I could make a stand here and now. I weighed more than he did and I knew how to deliver a punch now. Those thoughts of dispensing physical justice died as quickly as they were formed though once I saw the gun tucked into his waist. Fists and a makeup brush weren’t any match for a firearm.
