"Brought loads of blankets and pillows and tomorrow we'll buy everything we need, but I thought who needs sleep when we could have sex all night?" He smiles his eyes twinkling.
"Ok sold," I tell him.
Chapter Twelve:
Smith Revelation

Kyran and I enter the local furniture store down the street from our condo complex we look around at beds, couches and everything else.
"Got any ideas?" I ask. I receive a blank stare.
"No?" He questions blankly. I'm trying my hardest not to laugh at how uncomfortable he is but a grin breaks through and he narrows his gaze on me.
"Well, I was thinking we could go for a white, red and black, our wedding theme plus we both love the colors? But this is all out of my element so why don't we hire a designer?" I say to Kyran causing his head to move up and down so fast it’s comical. I tell Ace to call Mom and I ask her for the interior designer who redecorated the condo a while ago and she gives me the number, I dial her straight away since our home is bare except the blankets we slept on last night.
"Hello, this is Hudson's designs."
"Hey, I'm looking for Mellie Hudson?"
"Hold on one moment please."
"This is Mellie."
"Hi, I'm Ava James Lewis, and you decorated my Mom's house last year. I just moved into my new home with my husband, but it is empty and we need fast decorating and furniture, are you available?"
"Oh yes, Ava, I remember that project, we can meet at the house in question and talk ideas let’s say by 2 pm?”
"Wonderful, see you soon," I reply, ending the call and lift my eyes to catch Kyran amused at me.
"What?” I ask, shaking his head at me he leans against a bed post crossing his arms, his lips twitching.
"It's hot to witness you take charge."
"And the last five hours of sex didn't wear you out?”
"Not even close" He winks, I huff and grab his arm pulling him out the store chuckling as he’s grinning widely.
We're sitting on our floor messing around and being silly when the HES chimes a call from Josh, the reception clerk.
"Hi Mrs. Lewis, a Mellie Hudson is here to for you", I tell him to go ahead and send her up, she arrives a minute or so later with design catalogs and a notepad. She shakes mine and Kyran's hand and begins looking around the open living and kitchen space already having visions of the place no doubt.
"I would offer you a drink, or a seat except we don't have anything yet, got the house last night," I tell her. Mellie is gorgeous probably around twenty-five with long brown hair up into a high pony, slender frame, green eyes with glasses and sexy in a navy blue pencil skirt suit.
"Oh, no worries, any ideas or themes in mind?"
"Yes, our wedding colors, white and red and we want to add in black too."
"Excellent color scheme. I can make that work, how many bedrooms and floors?"
"Six bedrooms and five levels."
"May I walk around and make notes?"
"Sure." I smile.
"It will take about a week before I'm finished, but I can get the important rooms done in a full day, since the condo is ready for decorating but it will cost quite a substantial figure." Kyran steps in takes out his American Express card saying if you could help us have a home as soon as possible I'd be grateful.
"No problem, I'll be back shortly with my employees" and she's out the door, no further conversation but she's clearly a busy woman. My ED rings and I answer it to a distressed Una.
"Come over to my house NOW" she screams. My eyes are round in shock on Kyran, and we rush towards Una's place calling my Mom as we hurry to tell her what happened and she tells us she'll meet us there. Rushing inside I find her pacing with a worried looking Tobias and Rick watching, appearing relieved to see me.
Tobias and Una, live at Central Park Condos West, on Longford Avenue West Street, a thirty story Condo building and they are on the fifteenth-floor close to me. It's not as big as Mom's or now mine but still stunning and similar in design. Una's condo has Two Floors. The first floor is Living room, kitchen, and the balcony is all open space with a door for the main Bathroom. The second opens up on a hallway with three doors leading to the three Bedrooms and en-suites attached. One bedroom is a guest room. Underground Parking, Pool and Gym facilities are included and the park is around the corner.
Tobias walks over, but before he can say a word, everybody comes storming in, Mom, Dad, Aaliyah, the Twins, Gabriel, Mollie, Riley, Avery, Grandma Abby and Grandpa Austin.
"What are you all doing here?" A very confused looking Una asks them all not sure what to make of having everyone here for her.
"Well, you’re a part of the family," Gabriel tells her.
"You've been a third daughter to Ariana and me" my dad adds.
"I called mom, and she must have alerted the group" I chime in. Una tries not to let how the support from us all is touching her to shine through on her face, so she ignores the words brushing it off and looks at me pointing a finger.
"Tell me how you felt again when you found out you weren't human." Una demands, more scared than harsh, and I stutter a second unsure what to say not understanding where she's going with this but answer.
"Betrayed. My family lied to me. But was happy to finally understand why I always sensed I was different, why what's wrong?"
"This" she replies handing me a piece of paper. I take it and read it aloud.
'Una and Tobias my darlings it's your mother and father, one day a friend will drop this off, you won't see or hear this person, but this note will be left, and we want you to have the truth in case we die. We do plan on telling you two soon, but if we can't then you need to understand that I, your mother, am a Chimæra. You two are descendants. You have been bound, so please find someone to unbind you. Love mom and dad.'
I finish reading, and the room is deathly quiet lifting my eyes to Una with worry she's pale and confused so I turn to her brother who is blank. I hug her tight.
"We'll figure this out I promise whatever you want to do with this we will support you, you too Tobias, I say turning and walking over to give him a reassuring hand squeeze and he grips back tightly in shock.
"What do you want to do?" She questions Tobias, and he shakes his head.
"I don't know." he replies dazedly.
"Let’s do a spell to check and be sure you’re descendants before we go any further," Grandma Abby offers. Both Tobias and Una agree at this point needing answers.
"Stand in a circle and join hands it is a straightforward and quick." She tells everyone, and we all do as told.

Lights begin to shine around us like a halo on all the paranormals in the room and two light orbs appear circling Una and Tobias for a few seconds reading their DNA before confirming they are in fact paranormal and stop on them rotating and the orbs change into halos. Even though we knew to expect this it is still a shock to confirm that your best friend's life just got turned on its axis like yours had only many weeks ago.
"What is it with parents and secrets these days?" I ask turning to mom and dad who appear humiliated of themselves by their actions. I think seeing things through Una's and Tobias's perspective is different than your child you raised from birth cause you’re blinded by a purer love and with the truth they held from me now affecting someone else and watching how devastated they are by the lie has shown them how much they cost me.
"Am I the only one who caught that her parents said in case we die? And unfortunately, they did, isn't that suspicious?" I ask gently, and the room goes quiet thinking back on the letter and most eyes go wide in the realization that likely they were murdered and made it look like a car accident. Una and Tobias are staring at me and I shuffle my feet a little nervous I made things worse.
"I'm sorry I didn't
mean to upset you but, I know if that were my mom and dad I would want to be told," I say carefully. The parents in question are watching me with shiny eyes I tune into their emotions and am hit with so much guilt I never really forgave them but now it is time I should.
Una rushes forward hugging me with kisses on my cheek and Tobias follows giving a quick thankful hug, "I knew I needed you, yeah I would want to know too and you’re kind of an expert at this" Una laughs bitterly and fires out to the room who would want them dead.
"We will investigate this" Gabriel promises but she interrupts him insisting first we must track down the PHS and The Government to keep me and others safe, he agrees and I thank her knowing it couldn't have been easy to set aside new information of her parents’ death.
"What's a Chimæra?" Tobias wonders and his emotions reach me reading his approval of Una's plan to wait for later to start an investigation.
"Well dear, it is someone who can change forms into any animal existing or imaginary." Grandma Abby explains and informs both him and Una that she can perform an unbinding spell anytime if or when they are ready. Which each politely say they will be unbounded but not yet, just need some time. And a familiar twinge of hurt crosses my heart from remembering all too well how it felt and a strange thought occurs that what if it was my child who needed protecting would I lie to protect them and I know, my answer is yes.
Una catches the expression on my face, she lets me go nodding her agreement, she understands what I need to do. We don't require a mind link to share our thoughts but would be cool. So I leave her and walk over hugging them both whispering I forgive them and this time, I mean it, feeling my parents’ shoulders relax I realize they must have been carrying this weight around for a very long time.
A hint of nausea hits me must be from lack of sleep and skipping breakfast but push it aside to help my family. Would being paranormal be so bad I ask them, and they explain it’s not that but the fact it was hidden, and I remind them their parents planned on telling them soon but never got the chance. With this reminder, weight visibly lifts off them, and Una spins around to Grandma Abby saying she's ready, and Tobias follows her lead.
"I'll need four candles to light, anything of your mothers you own and you two will stand in the center, and Ariana, Aaliyah, and Ava cause she's got witches blood in her and me off course will surround you holding hands and chanting the spell. Una you were there when we did this for Ava so tell Tobias as we get the circle ready" Grandma Abby tells her.
Looking over at Aaliyah, I find her and Riley standing too close together and flirting but maybe it is my imagination, as I'm thinking this he wraps a lock of her hair around his finger. About to march over there since she's only seventeen when Kyran's voice enters my mind.
"But eighteen soon." Turning to glare at him I think back.
"But for now, only seventeen."
"He would never touch her as long as she's underage but when she's eighteen and willing yes." He answers back and am about to lengthen my claws for that remark.
"Sheath those claws baby, I meant to warn you, but there was so much going on." He explains.
"Tell me, honey," I reply in a sarcastic voice with a snarl, wow I am moody today what the hell. His eyebrows shoot up as he leans against the corner wall one ankle and arms crossed.
"Remember you said that not me, Gabriel believes after her eighteenth birthday her scent will change to Riley telling him she's, Erm, sexually mature and also his mate. Mates can't be scented until eighteen so believe they are attracted to each other, but a bond is growing". Kyran says with a fond smile remembering how we started, and I calm down, the love I've got with him I want for my baby sister but do two sisters need to be mated to two brothers?
"Fuck" my dad mutters, and I know, I just know he heard that and therefore mom too.
I turn around after concluding our discussion we find the room watching us in amusement going back and forth between us.
"Are you ready or do you want to give your husband another tongue lashing?" Una muses, smirking, I pull my shoulders back and say while getting into position beside Aaliyah and Mom joining hands, "Oh, he deserved it," He snorts behind me.
While I had been busy pissed at Kyran, Una brought out an old yellow V-neck shirt her mother loved. And upon Grandma Abby's request laid it across her and Tobias's bare feet and tells Una and Tobias to join hands with me, Mom, and Aaliyah, as she chants the spell.

Lights shoot up from the t-shirt and into Una and Tobias, and I spot Rick in the corner of my eye and turn to reveal a better view of him in the chaos I forgot he was here. He had stayed silent through it all, and find him watching her with both worry and pride in his eyes, catching me looking at him he gives me a sheepish smile tucking his hands into his pants pockets.
After a minute or so the lights fade leaving a happy looking Una and a blissed-out dazed Tobias, I go to help them but become dizzy. Kyran is there instantly grabbing my waist to steady me.
"Are you alright?" He wonders.
"Yeah just haven't been great today, let me go to her she needs me," I answer trying to get free from his iron locked grip.
"Una needs her best friend to sit down and take a few minutes. When did you last eat?" Una responds frowning.
"I'm not sure" I reply sitting down on Kyran's lap and rubbing my temples.
"You and your new wolf need more food than we do, there's sandwich stuff in the fridge, so I'll make you one," Addy adds, as Una nods her agreement.
"Yeah, I do. Naturally, you raided the kitchen earlier and everyone can help themselves," Una adds laughing at how much food is always on his mind.
"Hey I'm a growing boy it is my job to eat a lot," Addy chuckles.
"How do you feel, any different?" I ask her and Tobias while cuddling into Kyran who puts his arms around me protectively kissing my forehead.
"No, I don't actually, do you?" Una says, asking her brother who shakes his head no, Addy comes back in with ham and coleslaw sandwich and a cup of tea, smiling I thank him and take slow bites, my stomach is hungry but isn't so sure it wants it.
"Oh, my" mom breathes and look up to find she's staring at a husky and a lion I jump in fright for a second, once I recover I stand and shakily ask, "Where did these come from?"
"Erm honey, they are Una and Tobias, they shifted for the first time."
"Oh, ooh, no way, that was fast, who's who?" I ask excitedly.
"Well, the lion is Tobias cause if it were Una it would be a lioness so she must be the husky" Gabriel answers and at this, she barks and mom confirms this after witnessing the shifts.
I tell them if they want to change back, to imagine the animal form taking their human shape, and soon both stand there human again and fully clothed.
"Oh great, the Chimæra are able to stay dressed while mine rips to shreds" I mutter sulkily.
"Only until you have the full hang of it Ave" Aaliyah reminds me, huffing pretend annoyance I turn for the bathroom and Una follows.
"Are you ok, you’re really pale?"
"I'm fine I was hungry that's all," I say, splashing water on my face and using a towel to pat dry.
"You barely touched your sandwich so no you were not," Una digs further studying me and frowning.
"I was, but my stomach couldn't well stomach it."
"Are you preg…?” I cut her off by adding.
"No don't be silly, it is stress and from having the dreams."
"You and Rick?" I ask changing the topic.
"Yeah we've been on a few dates, but very early days."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"You were so busy with the wedding, training, working
and with Lauren", she trails off at the name.
I change the subject again and ask if Tobias is aware she and Rick are dating. I'm told all about how Rick wouldn't go on a date unless he knew and surprisingly he didn't kick off. He said “well about bloody time” having known for some time they liked each other, so we dodged a bullet with him Una tells me.
"I know nothing about being a Chimæra but I’m a wolf yes, so I can give you tips but honestly having a wolf inside you I think is different from being able to change into any animal. I find this shocking that both of us discover the truth many weeks apart. Kind of odd, beginning to wonder if a bigger picture going on here" I say to her thinking out loud and rubbing my nauseous belly again. Una notices this and smiles knowingly at me like she knows something I don't.
"There probably is, time will reveal, so why were you so pissed at Kyran, never seen you so mad before talk about hormones huh?" Giving her a narrowed stare at the word hormones with her hinting, and I shrug telling her what he said about Aaliyah and Riley. I tell her Mom and Dad know too they apparently tuned in by accident but forgot to tune out when we were discussing it.
"Wow, two sisters to be mated to two brothers" Una laughs and adds.
"This is pure gold" I scowl at her. We go back into the living room, and Kyran immediately pulls me back down on his lap. My ED rings answering it to Mellie Hudson.
"We're back at your house and decorating has begun would you like to come and offer your opinions?" I turn to Kyran, and he nods.
"Yeah babe we should go" He telepaths.
"We're on our way."
"Ok see you soon, bye."
On my feet and I tell the room who that was on the phone and want to make sure we like the designs before we need to pay for them. They all understand and let us go without a fuss saying they'll look after Una and Tobias and that I should lay down anyway. I hug Una goodbye apologizing that I must go so soon when she needs me.
"Nonsense, everyone else is here so don't beat yourself up about it now go have fun with decorating, one day it could be me, and I'll need your advice, so this is a win-win for me." She winks and laughing I stroll out the door with Kyran holding hands.
