"Now what would my mother think if I killed my sister. My sister wouldn't like it if I killed her friends either."
"Too late you already have" Allia spat at her.
A stinging slap knocked Allia on her back. "now sister,be nice."
Kimih talked to another woman dressed the same as her and she laughed a delighted laugh. "yes, we will do that!" she declared.
Turning back to Angee and Stephanie still on their knees she raised a hand. "I said I wouldn't kill you. I cannot however leave you free to thwart the masters plans so I will remove you."
A black light gathered around Kimih's hand and grew intense before she threw it at Stephanie and Angee.
There was an enormous blast of air and white light and they were gone.
Allia broke down crying.
Mol watched in shock as Angee and Stephanie disappeared.
She heard Kimih talking to Allia faintly. "I didn't kill them, like I promised. You however will never see them again."
"We have to get back to the temple and warn the Bards."
Lezza nodded silently.
Epilogue
She came around slowly. Her head was spinning and it hurt.
She took deep breaths and stared up at the leaden sky.
A groan made her turn her head, a woman was laying there.
Yes, her name was Stephanie. It was coming back to her now.
Sitting up slowly was a painful experience. Gingerly she crawled over to Stephanie. "Are you alright?" she enquired in a broken voice. Stephanie turned to her, "Angee? is that you?".
Angee coughed as she answered. "Yes, it's me."
What was wrong with her voice? she wondered.
Carefully she stood up and helped Stephanie stand up too.
Funny noises were coming from beyond the trees and mutually supporting each other they staggered through to see what it was.
Stephanie suddenly pulled Angee back as something flashed by. They over balanced and fell back. Stephanie though was back on her feet quickly.
She had stepped forward and was staring at a sign.
Angee joined her and looked at it, it was in a strange script but she could read it.
