Playing With Fire: Loyalty Demolished Page 14

by Charlee Renea

Olivia had cheated on Sean the last time they were together. He’d left her alone because he was hurt. When she wrote him a letter, he was surprised. He still loved her so he decided to give it another chance. He had nothing but time on his hands anyway. If she proved her loyalty while he was in prison, he might keep her.

“Yeah, I feel you. Whatever makes you happy, I’m here for you, bro!”

  “Same here.”

They ended the call and Sean got ready for his visit.

Olivia washed the dishes before she started getting ready to go visit Sean. She hadn’t been up to the prison since bumping into Sean’s chick. She had talked with him over the phone and told him why she wasn’t visiting. He convinced her nothing was going on between them and she finally gave in. She was ready to see her man. Now that she thought about it, she shouldn't have tripped. If she’d been faithful to begin with, he probably wouldn’t have moved to New Jersey and wouldn’t be in this mess.

As she was putting her makeup on, her phone started ringing and she tensed up when she saw who was calling. She’d been in New Jersey for a year-and-a-half now and yet, he was still calling. She thought he had gotten the picture when she left and ignored his calls.

  “Hello!” she answered angrily.

“Wassup, girl? I thought I’d never hear from you. How’ve you been?”

She sighed. His deep, sexy voice was pulling her back in. That was her weakness for him.

  “I’m doing well. I can’t complain. I’m taking everything a day at a time.”

“I’ve been missing you; miss waking up to you.”

She thought about how she used to wake up in his arms in the mornings. She normally didn’t date light-skinned men, but there was something different about him. She loved the tattoos all over his buttermilk skin. She also liked the diamond golds in his mouth. He was sexy, but that was all he could offer. She came back to reality as to why she’d left him alone. He was a hoe and had fucked every chick in Kansas City. She felt silly for letting him come between her relationship with Sean. All he was was a sex tool for her. That was the only thing good he offered.

“Damn, well I don’t plan on coming back there. I’m enjoying where I am and the woman I’m becoming.”

  “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I don’t want you back. I’m sorry but you have to move on. Maybe your baby-mama wants you.”

“I don’t want her. I want you. Things have changed with me.”

“I’m cool. You take care, okay?”

She ended the call without giving him a chance to talk. She had another chance with Sean and she wasn’t messing it up.

She sat at the round table, dressed sexily as Sean headed over to her. When she saw him, she jumped up to hug him. She’d missed his touch. She couldn’t stay mad at him for long. She was upset about Nicole when she first got there, but the attitude disappeared when she saw him. They’d been through ups and downs, and she’d learned to work through their differences. They sat back down close to each other.

“Wassup, baby?” he started the conversation.

“Wassup?” She’d thought she could handle herself, but she was still feeling some type of way. “Why? I mean, everything. Why?”

Tears started rolling down her cheek. He wiped them away. The majority of the time, he was honest with her—even when he’d cheated.

“Don’t cry, baby. I know what you’re getting at. It wasn’t like that with her.”

“Talk to me. From start to finish, I want to know.”

He explained to her everything that had happened when he first met Nicole, the murder, and how she was trying to prove she was loyal by paying his lawyer fees.

She wasn’t pleased she’d lost her lover and best friend. She wondered if this had happened so she could learn to appreciate him. When they were together, she’d complained about how he wasn’t doing enough—like giving her money to go shopping or how he smothered her by always wanting her to spend time with him. She’d started going to the club and hanging with friends, and it had made Sean do his own thing. When she started noticing him catering to other women, she got jealous.

“Don’t trip on that. Plus, I haven’t even heard from her. You may have run her off! But know if she comes back around, I’m not turning down any help! Keep that shit on hill and let me handle this! I’m the one who’s in prison.”

“Yes, baby, and okay, I understand.” She had no choice. She couldn’t afford to pay what Nicole was paying for his legal fees.

“I hope she comes back because I need that lawyer’s fee!”

“Why weren’t you honest about this in the beginning? I asked you how you ended up here and you told me don’t trip.”

“Just what I said. Don’t trip because it’s nothing. You can take it how you want and do what you do.”

  “What’s that supposed to mean?”

She hated when he spoke like he didn’t care. Regardless of what she’d done, she had moved to New Jersey to show her loyalty and that she still cared. She didn’t appreciate being talked to like this.

“Nothing. I don’t want to spend time arguing.”

  “Whatever, and me either!”

“Just let me handle this. If you can, it wouldn’t hurt if you helped out some, too. I know you’re ready for me to come home.”

He was right. She was ready to wake up to him every morning again and appreciate him. She just hoped if she helped him and he got out of prison, he wouldn’t play her in the end.

They finished talking until the time was up and kissed goodbye. Sean wanted to use the phone to call Nicole again, but when he called, she didn’t answer again. ‘Fuck!’ he thought, slamming the phone down and heading back to his cell. He didn’t want to give up so he decided to write her a letter. He didn’t mention Olivia, just wrote about how concerned he was about her absence.

Hot water was thrown on Nicole’s skin and she jumped out of her sleep. Her left eye was swollen shut from a beating two days ago. Her ribs were starting to show from being served water and cornbread once a day. She still wasn’t aware of why she was here or who this man was. She begged him every time before he had his way with her body to kill her. She was running out of fuel and strength to encounter any more physical or sexual abuse.

She opened her right eye, and even though it was blurry, she could still make out her figure. Her big-boned, vanilla frame stood in front of Nicole with her hands on her hips. Now everything was starting to make sense! ‘Fuck!’ Nicole thought, wondering where he’d found her. Nicole prayed she was dreaming and closed her eyes. Another batch of hot water was thrown on her to bring her back to reality.

“Surprised, bitch? Thought I’d never find you, huh? It took me a minute, but word got around quick you were back in town!”

“I can explain everything! It wasn’t what it—”

“Shut the fuck up and never interrupt a boss bitch!” she said, kicking Nicole in the head.

Nicole lay defenseless on the dirty mattress still tied to the pole. She closed her eyes again to keep from having to look at her face or shoe.

Fen lit the Newport dangling from her mouth. She needed to calm her nerves before she really hurt her, or worse, killed her. Memories popped into her mind of the countless text messages she’d sent that were ignored and calling Nicole’s phone numerous times to only reach her voicemail. Fen had loved Brian to the max and she was angry at how his supposed-to-be fiancée had taken up for the man who had killed him. She wanted every bone in Nicole’s body to feel the pain that was in hers. There was nothing to explain because she felt Nicole had done all her explaining on the news.

“Fen, I understand you’re hurt,” Nicole’s raspy voice managed to get out, “but you don’t understand the pain your brother put me in, or the risk my life was in.”

“Well, if that’s the case, why stay around? If you felt you were in danger, you should have left! Now, you’r
e making me believe you set up his murder!”

“Nooo! I had no parts! Your brother was the one who planned the robberies. I just played along like he told me to! I tried leaving! Every time, he threatened my life. I loved and still love Brian!”

Nicole thought of anything she could say to help her and hoped Fen would see the pain she’d gone through. She just wanted to save her life. The love wasn’t there anymore for Brian.

“Bitch, my brother wasn’t desperate for your broke ass! He had money and women! His children’s mother and his wife! He loved that woman with all his heart. All you were was a gullible hoe he used! What made you think he’d marry a stripper?” she chuckled. “Yeah, what did he call you . . .? His little moneymaker!”

Nicole knew nothing of his wife or children, but that explained his absences and him never answering the phone. Her heart pounded hard from the thought of him using her. Everything made sense and she bit the inside of her mouth for being so stupid. ‘How did I not see this?’ she thought.

“What’s wrong? What you were to him comes as a surprise?”

“I really loved your brother, Fen, and I had nothing to do with his murder. If you’re going kill me, please get it over with or let me go so I can live my life. Whatever you do, it won’t bring Brian back.”

She didn’t want to show how foolish she’d been or how hurt. She was wondering how could she have been so stupid and not realized this man had a family. All the clues were there, but she’d chosen to ignore every single one. At that moment, she could care less what happened to her.

  Back in L.A. . . .

Later that night, the crew met at Boss’ hotel to go over the plans for the next day. Bella was back from her date with Jacob and he’d informed her of some important details about the drop. Bella also had a surprise of her own. She couldn’t wait to see the look on Ray’s face!

Everyone sat in the living room part of the suite. Boss stood up in front and all eyes were glued to him.

“Good evening, everyone!” Everyone responded. “Tomorrow is the big day and we’re all hoping to be millions of dollars richer.” He wore a big smile. “I’ve waited for this day a long time!”

“So I’ll be meeting with him around one. We’ll have lunch together first then head to the bank. He was very open with his schedule for tomorrow and happy I’m tagging along,” Bella interjected. “So once we get to the bank, I’ll text y’all when he comes out, grab the money bags, and take out his partner. What do y’all think? Ray?”

Ray looked up from his phone to answer. He was in the process of booking him a flight to St. Thomas in the morning. He thought it would be better to be there for his daughter’s birth and give this lifestyle up. He’d already informed Vin about it and he had agreed.

“Sounds like a plan. I’m ready to get this money!”

“Okay. I’m glad everyone is onboard. I have someone who’s going to be included as well.” That caught Ray and Vin’s attention.

“And who is that?” Ray asked.

Chris walked through the door smiling. He was feeling good about Bella giving him the green light. “Wassup, y’all?”

Bella had talked it over with her father a couple of days ago.

  ~ ~

Bella sat at the bar drinking a glass of wine waiting on her father to arrive. She was a little restless from her time in Vegas. She’d asked Jacob for space so she could get some sleep, but it was really for a meeting with her father. Boss walked up on her, placing his hand on her lower back and kissing her cheek.

“Hello, princess,” he greeted her and sat in the seat next to her. He called the waitress over and placed an order.

“Hello, Father, how are you? How was your flight?”

“It was great. I made it safely, but the question is, how are you? Especially after going to jail?”

“I’m relieved I beat her ass and jail was pointless, but I have a bigger issue than that.”

The waitress placed Boss’ drink on a napkin and he tipped her. “What issue would that be?” He took a sip to calm his nerves to prepare him for the news.

“Chris is in Vegas and he knows about the drop. He claimed he had been planning the same lick so now he wants in on it, too, or he’s going to blow my cover.”

Boss’ eyebrows rose, not wanting to believe what she’d just said. He wasn't prepared to cut someone else in on the deal. He wanted as much money so he could get to move his family overseas.

“I’m not feeling him nor do I want to cut him in!”

  “Me either, Father!”

“How did he know you were involved?”

Bella wasn’t sure how Chris knew. She was assuming everything she was about to tell her father.

“He questioned why I was in Vegas with Jacob and started talking about Ray’s love for me. He said he knew about the drop, and for us not to get in his way or to put him in on it. Otherwise, he was going tell Jacob who I really was.”

“Fucking bastard! He was picking information out of you, princess. I guess he feels we owe him for getting you out of prison!"

Boss wasn’t feeling Chris one bit and he knew he had to do something about the situation.

  ~ ~

Boss had made his decision about what he was going to do. He saw the crazy looks everyone was giving Chris. This was new to Ray and he was wondering why Bella hadn’t let him know about the change before the meeting. But, really, it wasn’t Ray’s concern any more. His flight left at eleven in the morning and he was going to be free.

“He’ll be joining us tomorrow for the drop,” Bella said proudly. Her plan was to use Ray and Vin to help rob the truck, but she wasn’t going to cut them their portion. If they wanted to act out, she’d have them killed in a heartbeat. She was done playing with Ray and him fucking over her loyalty. She’d been nothing but good to him for him to fuck her over the way he had. Hearing about Chyna and their child was just the beginning of the list of betrayals he’d done. A lot of people, including him, didn’t know what she knew. He’d find out soon!

  ~ ~

After the meeting, Bella took a cab to his hotel. She didn’t think he’d come visit her, but he proved her wrong. Tone had texted her as soon as he touched down in L.A., telling her where he was staying and his room number. While riding the elevator up to the fourth floor, Bella got nervous. She knew this was something her body had been needing and wanting. The elevator doors opened and she stepped off in her Burberry heels. When she reached room 507, a cheerful man opened the door. His jaws dropped as she stood in front of him dressed in a trench coat. He could only imagine nothing was on under it.

“Hello,” she spoke, breaking the silence. She’d decided to be spontaneous and go wild with it. She needed him and she wasn’t about to play games.

  “Wassup? Come in.”

She clicked her heels inside his room and he shut the door behind her. The scent of Burberry perfume was strong on her. He loved a woman who smelled good. She placed her Burberry purse on the table and turned around to face him.

“I’m glad to see you made it,” she told him.

She was ready for a hot, steamy night with him. She didn’t want to waste any more time. She sat him on the bed and took his wife-beater off. He didn’t have a banging chest but she wasn't going let that stop anything. He was thickly built, not fat, just without the abs. She unbuttoned her coat, revealing her nude-colored panties and bra set. She let the coat fall and Tone liked what stood in front of him. He wondered if she was crazy and that was why Ray didn’t want her. He rubbed on her smooth skin, sending chills up her body. She straddled his lap and he palmed her booty.

“You sure you want this?” he asked her.

She nodded her head yes. He unclipped her bra and started sucking on her C-cups. He placed her on the bed and removed her panties. She played with her breasts while he undid his pants. His penis hung low and was rock hard. She sat up and started rubbing it. Just as she was about to put it in her mouth, he pus
hed her back. He wanted to make tonight about her.

Her eyes closed when she felt his tongue going to work on her G-spot. Soft moans sounded from her mouth as she arched her back. Flicking his tongue back and forth, he brought her to a climax.

“Oh, yes . . . yes,” she softly moaned.

He held her tightly to keep her from running as her legs shook uncontrollably. Once he was finished, he laid on his back and she straddled him. Easing down slowly, she took him on the ride of his life. Up and down she bounced with her head tilted back and eyes closed.

“Oh shit! Damn, girl!” he moaned.

He felt the nut at the tip so he grabbed her hips to slow her down. He wasn’t ready to bust yet. He wanted to enjoy her juices and warm insides. He flipped her on her back, put her legs by her head, and went to work, pumping in and out. She screamed loudly and climaxed on him again. This time, he couldn’t hold it; he pulled out and nutted on her stomach.

Her legs felt paralyzed but she managed to get up, go to the bathroom, and clean herself up. She’d needed that sex badly and felt better now that she’d gotten it.

  . . . 13

Tone enjoyed sexing her, hoping to get her hooked so she would let Chyna and Ray be. He thought back to when she’d reached out to him, asking him to do the investigation. He’d thought she was a stupid female who wanted a man who didn’t love her. As he got deeper into the case flying down to St. Thomas and seeing the actually people, the games were over and he was ready to protect his family. He was mad he’d already told Bella where they were located.
